Castlevania: SoTN question

I recently loaded up my old Symphony of the Night save just to see what I had on it, and I discovered I still hadn't bought the blasted $500,000 Duplicator! I was wondering what the best (easiest) place to get $$ was? I remember constantly exiting and re-entering a place in the inverted castle, where the boatman and waterfalls were. One of the candles there drops a $4000 bag. But then, a few screens before the button where you need the demon familiar, there's a $400 bag, and it's right next to an exit so that might be faster. Just want to know if anyone knows of a better way to get $$ (besides using the jewel sword and selling gems). I'm 30 hours into the game and only up to $210,000 =\, altho I did buy everything else the librarian had, heh maybe I should've saved Joseph's cloak for later.

I think the best way ( I never did it) is to start from the beginning and only buy really essential items throughout the game. Then do both of the tricks you mentioned and hope your patience lasts. If you don't buy anything for the whole game, it should shorten the time you have to spend collecting money. Thats the best I can offer.

Equip stuff that affects your luck. This, for me, seemed to work the best. I kept getting great weapons off of enemies and the amount of cash recieved increased.

Obviously, the starting portions of the game don't really have any luck items, but when you get them, equip them.

Oh, I just thought of it but you can enter a name when you start the game that gives you 99 luck at the beginning but also really crappy other stats (most of your hits in the beginning of the game do 1dmg) Its actually really fun, and later in the game you get more powerful than normal playthroughs. I don't remember the code, but you should be able to find it on any cheat site.

[color=red][size=1][font=arial]I'm not sure this actually works, as I've never tried it, but you could do the cheap Duplication trick. Equip any Saluble item, go to the Long Library, and sell the item that's equipped. Supposedly this will set your inventory to 99 of the equipped item.
