Fyxe
Well, i really havn't had any bad teachers. But there was this one boy that got punched by a teacher and then the teacher said he didn't do it!:P how mean/stupid can you get? But later that year he was fired. There was a sub we had once that threw a book at me, because I was helping someone with their paper, but she thought I was cheating or just talking.:P Duh, you still don't do that. She yelled at kids, made fun of them, and one time, she even gave me a wedgie. Strangely, she was my fave. teacher. Lol.
GreenEyedDragon
have an interesting teacher for english this year, and she's got a great sense of humor, and she's really nice. Sounds strange, huh? Ah, but here comes the normal part: she's really really strict. You MUST write in blue pen in her class. You CANNOT write on the back of any paper unless she tells you otherwise. You MUST have a correct heading. Anything typed must be double spaced, size 12, Times New Roman. You have to have a two-inch. three-ring binder for her class only. You have to have three highlighters but they CANNOT be yellow. All paper used in her class MUST be wide-ruled. And there's much much more, I promise. Also, my spanish teacher, he is a major butt. He can be nice and funny, but he has a temper. He promised us he wouldn't get mad, and if we started to tick him off he would send us out of class to the help center. thats that. Now, let me explain the help center, just to reassure you that my entire school is retarded. The help center is the place where you are sent when your teacher is irritated by you, but you haven't done anything bad enough to be sent to the office. So in the help center, you get to talk to a counselor about what you did wrong and how you're learning from it, and then you get to write a page on how you realize what you've done wrong and that you understand your teacher's reaction. After you have been sent to the help center twice, you go straight to the office, where you are 'delt with'...reminds you of the book Madeline, doesn't it? heh...anyways, going to my school is like going just outside a vacuum that sucks the fun out of everything near by. The teachers even get to write detentions if you "pool" (standing still in the hallway either talking, or stopping at someone else's locker) in the hallways. During school hours you MUST go up the Up stairs, and then you have to go down the Down Stairs. If you're caught going up the down stairs, or down the up stairs, then you get an automatic detention. Also, even if you're not fighting in the halls, if you yell or anything, you can get a $250 fine for "Disturbing the Learning Environment", or some BS like that....yeah, so not only do i have pshyco teachers, but my entire school environment is boring as H***....trust me on this one, ya'll's schools are much better. At least you can be entertained by fights every now and then in the halls...
Fall
We have a Russian teacher for Information Technology this year. He's accent is as strong he has trouble saying "hello", he yells nearly everything he says when he's talking to kids, and when in class we can't so much as even breathe too loud. Well, not really, but he's bad enough.
Shinmaru
I had those kinds of teachers in 1st and 3rd grade, but strangely, after I wasn't their student, they suddenly became the nicest people in the world o_O Other than that, I haven't had any real problems with my teachers. Mostly, my teachers aren't grouchy, which is good. A grouchy teacher can be a real a-hole if you let them get to you.
Katana
Sheesh, GreenEyedDrgon, your school sounds more like a military camp than a school. Well, I have this math teacher and I can't STAND her. She's so...so....GAH! I lucked out pretty well with my social studies class. At first, my schedule said I had Mr. Warski for SS. Okay, little background on the man, he was the principal for a few years and now we have a new one and now he's a freakin' 7th grade teacher! Talk about not able to let go...This guy also wears the fakest wig you've ever seen. It's one of those that sits high on the head so it looks like they used a lotta gel but no gel...yeah. ANYWAYS, I was suppossed to have him, but then I got a new schedule and the only class that changed was...SOCAIL STUDIES! I had a chibi figure jumping around in my head. Warski has one of those voices where you just wanna stick earplugs in. It's really drab and dull and blah blah blah...*sighs*
Vegitto4
My 9th grade Algebra 1 teacher. Her name was Ms. Bemani. She was persian I think. Anyway, she couldn't really speak much english, and what she did speak, she spoke it badly. As a consequence, every was always getting in trouble, and failing her class, and she just thought we were all stupid. it was very entertaining some days. Others, I just wanted to shoot her
Mystfyre
My chemistry teacher is from india. She can't spell very well, and has a temendous accent, then wonders why we have no friggin clue whats going on. On the plus side, she doesn't understand half of what we say. That can be a good thing... My geometry teacher hated me (and I her) so I always asked the evil "Why?" question for everything. Hehehe... O o o o My english teacher. She is always asking opinionated questions then saying their wrong. So I argue. And argue. And argue. She doesn't appriciate it too much, and its not like I odn't like her...she's just really off sometimes.
duelist22
I despised my English teacher last year. She was always happy! Just happy happy, happy! It was creepy... :therock: Now this year, I have a teacher who can talk forever. Today, it took us a whole class period to finish reviewing notes! Short notes I might add. Mitch
Pff. Most teachers are very bearable. And I guess I'll probably end up being one. What else can you get from an english major, other than a writer or such?
Krademon
I've had a few 'interesting' teachers in my time. On teacher was really cool, she swore and took her shoes off in class but really cared about your education and if you were understanding the work and such. I had abnother one who we dubbed 'stress ball', she yelled at you for talking and eventualy got so stressed she threw boxes at a student. Apart from that I have had REALLY good teachers that are cool to talk to and really try so I suppose I haven't had a bad run :p
SubaruFan
I didn't have any bad teachers, but one teacher at my school went insane and hit a kid with a stapler...but my old algebra 2 teacher was always yelling at us to shut up,and i think she told us we were stupid once, them messed up a problem right after,so that was a good laugh. Also,my old biology teacher (why are bio teachers evil?) was told by a student that he was the devil,so he turned the heater up all the way to make his toom into "hell",so by the end of class we were sitting on the floor where it was cooler, which taught us all a valuable lesson about convection currents...lol. Luminaire
Grr...>thinks of Ms. Kokanokis< She hated me. I have no idea why, she just did. We did absolutely nothing in her American Studies class, I would sit and read, and she would tell me to pay attention when the kids in the corner were playing Connect Four. >rolls eyes< I was the only one she ever lectured about missing class for choir or band or something when like half the class also went. It was annoying. I was going to tell her off, but I didn't want to get into trouble, so I wrote it down on a paper, and showed it to Roxie who gave me a big grin, thumbs up, and said "go you!" I hate teachers like that. ~Lumi ^_^
Brasil
Originally posted by Mitch Pff. Most teachers are very bearable. And I guess I'll probably end up being one. I believe it's general understanding: An english degree is basically worth nothing if you don't decide to teach, and really it only gives you leeway to bull**** about literature. :D Fun stuff. I like bull****ting about literature, though I'm usually not "bull****ting" and actually providing sensible insight and interpetation and such. Come to think of it, an English degree is one of the most challenging ones to achieve, because the jobs associated with an English degree are SO hard to find, that you really have to be dedicated to your English craft. I'd say an English degree ranks up there with Philosophy and History (though History is a bit easier to find a job in, I think). Those three professions really get the short end of the stick when it comes to salary, too, but I couldn't care less about salary. It's in the back of my mind, sure, but I really just want to teach...unleash Beowulf or Heart Of Darkness on some college frosh. heh. I actually haven't had too many horrible teachers in my academic career. My 2nd grade teacher was bad, as was my Freshman Seminar Political Issues professor at Rutgers (he put everyone to sleep.). But other than that, my instructors have been rock and roll.

Yes, and this has caused me much stress and anguish, as of late. English is the only thing I'm really interested in, but I don't want to teach. :nervous: Getting to the point--of course I've had my share of poor teachers. Most of us have. Fortunately, the number of adequate teachers I've encountered in the educational system have outnumbered the bad. And, that's only natural, I think. If one doesn't have a passion for what they do, they absolutely won't last long at all. Sadly, a bad teacher isn't always a miserable person. A select few just can't reach their class. Their teaching methods are mundane, or they're hesitant to set an example and take disciplinary action on disruptive students. I've seen it happen more than I'd like to and it's almost painful. Once one proves they can walk all over the instructor, the rest of the class is sure to follow. When such a thing happens, no one learns at all. It's just pandemonium. Guest dayday
My 5th grade teacher was pure evil. She was a racist and since I had the darkest skin color in the class she always came on me. I hated her so much. Once we had to write a story about a dinosaur named Harry....-.- very stupid. I was the first one to finish and I put it on the shelf like she said. Everyone else took about 2 more days to finish. I even saw her take the paper off the shelf and put it in the trash. Even though it was only 2 pages, I wasn't going to rewrite it. She came over to me and told me to rewrite it and I said I wouldn't. She got all close to my face and started to threaten me. I still refused and she grabbed me and dragged me down the hall. She started to push and throw me and everything. My anger had blinded me so much, I didn't realize what she was doing.

Xyandar
In grade 7 I had a really mean teacher that once threw a desk across the room and hit a student in the head because he pissed the teacher off. Yeah the kid ended up getting in trouble for "standing in the way of the desk." Geez School Board Rules these days are soo weird... lol
craig8429
Well I had a horrible Bio teacher. He would never teach, finally all the people in his class started playing pranks and he flipped out. I can't really say I had a problem with him, but he didn't teach at all... Jesus Chicken
Well I had the exact opposite of the stressed-out teacher. As a matter of fact, mine was bent most of the time. She was my art teacher, which made it even better. In the term that I had her as a teacher, she was always really happy with anything that had bright-colours. I don't think I need to explain too much there. But about half-way through last year I think it was, she was busted for possession and dealing. Dealing to students, mostly. But it was so damn obvious that she was on the stuff. This teacher of ours would go into the art store room and smoke her...stuff. It was fantastic. Best art class ever
valerie
My last science teacher was horrible... He had a "2-inch" voice, and didn't even teach. He just assigned us work we didn't know anything about. Then, some of us kept skeptics about wheter he really checked the work or not, because as long as you turned it in, you got an 'A'. So, I decided to test this theory, and turned in a worksheet with just scribbles through the answer boxes. I got an 'A'. Then, later on in the year... He just blew up for some reason. He threw a stapler at someone's head, and it would've hit her if she wouldn't have ducked. Instead, it broke the window. Needless to say, he isn't around anymore.
ilikepie
Uhgh.... I've never had good luck with my teachers. My 8th grade english teacher called everyone in my class's parents white trash. (even though 2 people werent white). My English teacher this year constantly rambles about "The God's of Education" who say that that the Audio/Visual eqiupment is melting our brains with SportsCenter's Verbal Dirreahea. Also, my math teacher is a zombie because he always talks about how the math books were better in 1890. ALSO!, My biology teacher talked to a plant, got in a fight with it, and threw paper at it. Kanariya
Through my past years, I had very happy teachers. Especially now my English/SS teacher. I didn't listen to ehr and she just told me in a sweet voice, "Move to Another Table," she said. And taht's the worst consequence I got in that class. And in 5th grade. Oh boy. Whenever my homeroom teacher left class we would all start talking. Then the other 5th grade teacher would walk in and tell us to be quiet. I mean he got a habit doing that, and hanging out with my homeroom teacher. Well she has a husband so HA :flaming: But times he isn't there, and then we sang na na na na,hey hey hey hey GOODBYE!!! And the rest of my teachers were nice. They were a little off sometimes, but they found my as a sweet kid  Which I'm NOT
