I am

fearful
passion tracing my mind.
distant stars
flung far
a glimmering net to hold the sky.

I am

the killing angel
sword of blood and teeth of steel
the stamp, the oath, the vow, the seal
invisible I fell
on writhing night-caught dreams.

I am

immortal-eyed
fire inside
O hell-bound soul
black
and velvet night
and coal--
die once, die twice
redeem my life.

I am

alive
entangled so
my rapturous song grows
heavy, the
longer I go
with hollow love to hold me.
