Kyru got up and tried to overcome a wave of dizyness.
[i]That stupid memory, it felt like I was really there, and then hurled back here.[/i]
He looked to the town. A group of villagers were heading towards them. "How long do you think they are going to praise us?" Haru asked hopefully. Kyru hid his eyes by the shadow of his bangs, and hooked his thumbs in his jean pockets. "Praise?" They grouped in front of them, but instead of staring at the group stared in shock and disbelief at the empty space where the tower was. One of the women broke into a fit of tears. "My Baby! I can never see him again!" She wailed. Most of the crowd looked sick to their stomach's. Kovu looked confused. "I don't get it, why would they be so sad?" Kyru sighed. "it's because none of these peole wanted reality, they were so attatched to the illusions the tower brought them that they didn't want anything else. To them, we just killed everything precious to them." He brushed something off his eye, and slowly walked forward. "You people are MONSTERS!" Yelled a white haired man with bifocals. "We should kill them for what they've done!" SLASH! A plump women on the side of the crowd fell to the ground, Kyru's blade in the end of a swing. Kovu gasped. "KYRU! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!"
"These people are too far gone, we have to kill them or they will kill themselves from the inside."
"NO!! Kyru, they can learn to adapt! You can't just kill them! Nobody should make that decision!"
[i]...this has to be right...this is exactly what Kijiro would have done...[/i]

"Sorry Kovu, but these people would thank me." Kovu stared at him for a moment. She thought what he said may have been true, at that moment they would have thanked him, but...they could move on, and be happy again...couldn't they?

Kovu stared at Kyru in disbelief. Her eyes tered up and she looked away, cerulean hair falling over her eyes. ?Fine, Kyru,? she said through gritted teeth. ?Kill them. But you are NOT getting my help.? She turned away, and stopped. Kyru had been blocked out of her mind, so he had no clue of what was running through her mind. She wa;lked to the woman who had cried out earlier, touching her face with one slender finger. She ignored the cries to get away from her, and said, dark eyes soft and pleading, ? Will you let me help? I- I am sorry, I know how this must feel to you, losing someone. I lost my parents five years ago. I can brig your child back. Just let me help, trust me, or it wont work!? She looked pleadingly into the womans eyes as a shocked silence fell about them.

[Squall]

Kyru growled. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Kovu shot him a nasty look, but other than that ignored him. "Listen... you can't help these people, nobody can. It may be hard, but the only thing we can do, is kill them."
"How can you say that?!"
"It's nothing to get worked up about, this type of stuff happens all the time, whether you like it or not."
"I don't care what you say, I'm going to do every thing in my power to help them."
"Each and every one of them would kill you if they had the chance."
"That's only because they're too blind to see the truth!"
"This is the truth to them! Most of them will commit suicide, and anybody still alive will live a life of misery and torment. Besides, Kaguro has something they need, and he may try to manipulate them to his will. I know it's hard, but thats how things are."

[color=teal][font=times new roman][b]Mina watched the two argue. She sighed and turned around and started walking away.

"Mina! Where are you going?"Haru ran up beside her.

Kovu and Kyru notice and wait for Mina's answer.

"You guys can stay here and argue what you want to do with these helpless people. Their fate is not mine, they are of no importance to me. What is important is to find and kill the real Kaguro. That's what I am going to do. You stay here and decide what the hell you are going to do, I am leaving,"Mina continued to walk.

Haru stood and watched, as did Kyru and Kovu. Mina walked along a dirt road, a solem look spread across her face. [i]Kaguro, why did you deliberately do this to yourself? Why did you make your wish all those years ago? Why couldn't you just stay as you were? With me, I thought I meant more to you than all the power of the heavens..[/i]

Mina continued to walk the dirt road.[/color][/font][/b]

Kovu turned back to the woman."Are you sure he ever really died?" Kyru growled to her,"Damnit Kovu! I told you there is nothing you can do!" Kovu slapped him, shocking him. "There is, Kyru! Its something I got from mother, she taught me how!Watch! If you stilldont belive me..." She trailed off, and closed her eyes. Kyru saw her lips move,and a small tuneless chant came to his ears. [I]' Litheria morganath, terulanae sormanntu.'[/I] Her hands glowed, and a small bundle formed in them, taking shape. The womans eyes went blank as Kovu drew the memories from her. Kovu cupped her arms as the bundle formed the womans child. Kyru stared in disbelief as Kovu handed the woman her child. The woman took her and breathed," Oh, thank you, thank you!' Kovu smiled, her eyes went blank, and she collapsed from exhuastion.

[color=seagreen][font=times new roman][size=2]Mina, alone in her memories, snapped out of her mindless tranz. There was a rustling in the bushes to her right. Mina tightened her grip on her sythe and continued to walk.

"Must be my imagination...or because I am exhausted," Mina yawned and stretched.

The noise persisted. Mina couldn't take it any longer and picked up a rock. She tossed it into the bush and heard it hit a solid object.

"Owww.." a deep voice whined.

"Who is there? Show yourself," Mina demanded taking her stance.

"Please, I mean you no harm," a pair of hands popped out above the brush.

"Show yourself, now," Mina grew curious.

[i]I know this presence. It seems so familiar..Could it be? No..But then again..[/i] Mina was now impatient.

Slowly, a young man, golden blonde hair, hazel eyes, lean, built figure emerges from the bushes. Mina nearly drops to her knees.

"Mina, it has been far too long," the man walks up to Mina and hugs her tight.

"Mangst....How?" Mina was breathless.[/color][/font][/size]

IC: Mangst hushed her. "I?m not exactly sure, Mina." His expression grew grave. " Mina.... I need to know. Where is my daughter? Where is Kovu?? Mina sighed, and sat down on a patch of grass. ?Well, I don?t know. Last time I saw her she was fighting with Kyru ? again.? Mangst?s eyes widened. ? With? Kyru? Hopefully Kaguro hasn?t-? Mina shook her head. ?No, Mangst, he hasn?t.? Then she giggled. ? Did you notice how much Kovu looks like her mother? Her cerulean colored hair couldn?t possibly have come from you.? Her eyes softened. ?She got your determination, attitude, and gentle heart, Mangst. She feels lost, and leans on Kyru for comfort. Surprisingly, he gives it to her willingly?. Usually.?

Kovu ran through the green grass, laughing. ?Daddy! Im gonna catch you!? She tripped, and sat down hard, crying. Tears came to her clear blue eyes, and she bawled. The blonde man ran back to her, knelt, and to the crying toddler in his arms. ?Shh, Its okay, Kovu, Daddy Mangst is here. Sh??

Kovu moaned in her unconscious state.

[Squall]

Kyru looked from Kovu to the baby that was now in the woman's arms. He slowly walked over and kneeled by Kovu. "How did she..." Haru ran over, grinning. "Great job Kovu! That was-oh." He looked to see Kovu was unconcios. Kyru hoisted her up and threw her over his shoulder. "C'mon, let's get going."
"Right now? I thought you wanted to kill them."
"No. Kovu would blow a gasket. We'll leave and hope we don't regret it." He spat and continued walking, as the mob of people crowded around the woman. She thanked god between sobs.

Haru looked back at her for a second before jogging up to Kyru. "It's kind of weird, though. It's like she was never released from the trance." Kyru suddenly stopped and held his arm out so Haru didn't pass him. "Wha-?"
"Shhh. Look." He nodded towards Mina and the man she was talking to. "Why aren't we going over there?"

"She can handle it. Let's just watch her back."

OOC: I?m gonna play Mangst until Kovu regains consciousness.

IC: Mangst stared at Mina in shock. "So, your saying that-?" Mina nodded. "Yeah. Pretty much, anyway." Mangst shook his head, but caught movement out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head, and saw Kyru and Haru- with Kovu over Kyru's shoulder. Mangst stood, and Mina stood with him, following his stare. She grabbed her friend?s arm as he started towards Kyru. ?No, don?t! Kyru, this is Kovu?s father, Mangst. Mangst, Kyru.? Kyru and Mangst stared at each other challengingly for a few minutes. Kovu was now held tight to Kyru?s body, in his arms, one under her legs, the other under her back. Daring Mangst to try and take her from him.

[Squall]

Kyru knew he wouldn't like Mangst right away. "So, you are the son of Kaguro."
"And you're the father of Kovu. Or, at least, was the father of Kovu."
"Am I no longer her father?"
"Not since you killed yourself."
"How did you-"
"I saw it, first hand."
"How is that possible?"
"...Kijiro." The word seemed to force itself out of his throat. He ment to say "Hell if I know," but that came out instead. Mangst nodded. "I see, so this Kijiro gave you it."
"You could say that." Mangst inched closer, but Kyru backed away. "Please, let me hold my daughter."
"..."

[Annie]

[color=seagreen][font=times new roman][i][b]"Please, allow me to hold my only daughter," Mangst extended his arms.

His eyes brimmed with tears when Kyru backed away. He glared at Mangst, untrusting. Mangst returned his arms to his side, he looked away. Mina stepped up and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Mangst, you must understand Kyru's feelings about you," Mina placed her head on his shoulder.

"I only wish to hold her before I depart. I wish to apologize and tell her that I do love her. I want to tell her why I did what I did...or didn't do," Mangst's cheeks streaked with tears.

"What was that?" Kyru blinked.

"I didn't kill myself, Kyru. It was Kaguro's doing, he deceived you all into believing that I had killed myself," Mangst sat down on a fallen log.

"I don't understand. I saw you take your own life," Kyru sat down and lay Kovu's head on his lap.

"Did you see me? Or was it my body? My soul had already stolen from me. My body was all that remained. A shell for Kaguro's will," Mangst sighed.

Mina leaned against the tree and retreated into thought.

*What is going on here? This just continues to deepen in confusion and lies that I had not known of. Kaguro, what is your plan? What have you stirred up in that malice head of yours?* Mina shook her head.

"Mother, did you know about this?" Kyru's voice flared in anger.

"I did not....." Mina softly uttered.[/color][/font][/i][/b]

IC: Kovu groaned, and shifted. Kyru brushed some of her hair away from her face, movements protective, and slightly affectionate. Kovu?s deep, soulful eyes fluttered open, and she said,? K-kyru? What- what happened?? She tried to sit up, but fell back. Kyru caught her, and helped her sit up properly. Reluctantly Kyru looked to Mangst. Kovu followed his look and her mouth dropped. ? D-daddy?!? She stood up and ran to Mangst. She fell into his arms, and they hugged. Kovu cried into his shoulder. ?Daddy! I thought you were dead!? Mangst stroked her soft hair, and sh-ed her. ? Its okay, Kovu. My little kitten, its okay?? Kyru struggled to stop Kovu from going to him. [I] I have to let her. He was ? is - her dad, after all. [/I] Kovu heard this. [I] Kyru, I still love you, too. But? I haven?t seen him in five years. [/I] Mangst saw the look that passed between them, and mumbled,? I think I missed something??

He thought silently to himself as Haru smiled. "She really missed him a lot, that's nice how they got their reunion." Mina smiled and nodded, but Kyru's expression was still stony.

"If he was just a soleless puppet, how come he controls himself now?" He asked silently to Mina. "I don't know, but we can worry about that later."
Kyru grumbled and rested his hand on the hilt of his sword, just in case.

IC: Kovu smiled at her father. "Dad..." Her smile dissapeared, and she got up. She looked back and forth from Kyru to Mangst. [I] I... Dad... Kyru... I... [/I] She thought out loud to them all. She moved away as her father moved to hug her. She dodged Kyru also. " I cannot except, nor reject eather one of you, and you cannot live, knowing the other is in my thoughts." She ran to Mina, and started to cry. [I] Mina, I cant-cant let eather of them go! But they wont live with the other. Mina...[/I] She cried into her mind, and to only her. Mina petted her hair, and hugged the girl.

[color=seagreen][font=times new roman][i][b]Mina cradled Kovu in her strong and secure arms. She held Kovu's head to her breast and raked her fingers through her hair. Mina lay her cheek on Kovu's hair.

"Kovu, I know your thoughts. This isn't easy for you, I know this. And you shouldn't have to be put through this torment," Mina looked up angrily at Mangst, then to Kyru.

"Shame on both of you! I know your thoughts as well. How dare you ask Kovu to choose between the two of you! She loves both of you very much, and neither one of you are helping! She's been through the hells and back for you Kyru! Doesn't that mean anything? And you, she still lives in all of the hells waiting to see you. And now that she has, you ask her to drop all of her feelings to a man that has had nothing to do with her for the past five years. I am disgusted at the lot of you," Mina turned around and lead Kovu down the trail.

"Mina...what am I going to do?" Kovu's voice trembled as she choked back on her tears.

"Ssshh, Kovu, my dear Kovu," Mina cooed,"It will be alright, you just need some time to rest and think everything over. I am sorry that you had to be torn like that."

"That's okay. At least I don't have to worry about you trying to mess with my mind and emotions," Kovu hugged tighter.

Mina let a tear roll down her cheek. How she longed to be held by Kyru like Kovu was now. But she knew he would never. She adored Kovu, and was happy Kovu adored her.[/color][/font][/i][/b]

Kovu hung onto Mina, as if she hadn never had a mother. [I] Mom? NO![/I] She held Mina tighter, tears streaming down her cheeks in uncontrollable waves of agony.

Mina stroked Kovu?s hair, trying to calm the girl. [I] Mina? Will I ever, ever be able to love them both? Or even you and one of them? I..[/I] She cut off, and buried her head on Mina?s chest, crying, convulsing in agony and sorrow.

((OOC: Short, yeah. But the first time I read it I didn?t have time to post what I had in mind, so I forgot?^^;))

Mangst looked after them. "She'll be ok." Kyru said. "Heh, so she's grown up pretty strong now, hasn't she?" Mangst responded. [i]I guess so. More on the persistant side, though.[/i]

"You understand why I don't trust you, right?" Kyru said, breaking off topic. "Yes. And you understand why I don't trust you?" Kyru raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"You are the son of a madman who brought this world to it's knees."
"That has nothing to do with me."
"The same blood courses through your veins, demon blood."
"Look, we're not talking about me. We're talking about you. How is it that you're back?"
"..."
"Won't tell me, huh?"
"It's...complicated." Kyru glared at him. "Okay, why are you back?"

"Many reasons, but I guess, to find Kovu." He fell silent. Kyru looked to the horizon. [i] Kovu... [/i]

"You really love her, don't you?" Mangst asked suddenly. "What are you talking about?"

"I can see it in your eyes." Kyru folded his arms and looked away. "...well?" Mangst asked. "Drop it. I still want an answer, how and why are you here?"

Mangst shook his head. "Im not the person to ask, Kyru. Your father-" here his eyes balzed, anger showing. " -is the one to ask." He, too, thought of Kovu.

Kovu fell half asleep, holding Mina, clutching her shirt like a child. She said, once, to Kyru and Mangst,[i] No matter how far we are, I will always love you, foralways...[/I]

Mangst looked a bit startled. "What was that?"

"Kovu. She's telicenetic. Same with Mina, Haru, and me."

"So you can all talk with your minds?"

"Yeah. Kovu's really good at it, It's getting increasingly harder to block my thoughts."
"I would have never guessed..."
"Stop digressing. What do you mean Kaguro is the one to ask?"
"Just as I said. I don't know why he would decive you into thinking that I killed myself, and then bring me back with full knowledge that I would tell you the truth-"
"Unless, of course, he was counting on you telling us."
"Unfortionately, that too is a possibility."
"So you may still be dancing to his tune."
"Again, that is a possibility." Kyru growled as Mangst hung his head low in sadness. Kyru unsheathed his sword. "You know, I can eliminate the risk right now." mangst didn't bat an eyelid. "Go ahead."

Kyru raised his sword high. [i] I have to...[/i] He planted his feet and swung.
[i] I-I can't do it[/i]
The sword veered off and sliced through the ground, missing mangst's head entirely. There was a moment of silence before Kyru spat and walked slowly into the forest. "Be warned, if you cross me, I will kill you."
