Rockstar Haruko
I like music from every anime that I've seen except maybe Akira and Ghost in the Shell. Their music sounds too depressing. I like the Pillows' music from Furi Kuri and I have a whole bunch of songs from Cardcaptors. But Cowboy Bebop and Macross Plus beats them all!!! They have the best music!! Not just in Japanese either!! They have a great mixture of music!!

Pagan
Inuyasha has my favorite anime music. Every theme song is wonderful and just perfect in everyway. I'm trying to teach my band how to play Deep Forest and My Will for concert season. My favorite song from Inuyasha is Change the World. Every song on the show is very touching and alway makes me feel sad afterward.

OtakuSennen
Actually, I can't say that I have a favorite anime song, as much as I like different anime songs for different reasons. There are very few Japanese songs (that I've heard) that I actually don't like.. I'll just name off a few now, in no particular order. Yasashii Yoake AKA Gentle Dawn- The .hack//SIGN ending theme song. It's actually the very first song I've ever memorized in Japanese all the way through. The lyrics really touch me, and the visuals that go with it at the end of SIGN are somewhat symbolic and meaningful. Even my mom likes the melody line.. Zankoku na tenshi no tesis AKA Cruel Angel's Thesis- At first I found the song to be sort of moderate, and it seemed to be a little too outdated melody-wise for me to like it. It was too... Upbeat, I guess you can say. But that thought is no more, as endless hours of watching Evangelion DVDs has burned the song into my brain. But now that I know the lyrics, and have seen the visuals for the song on Eva, I've come to appreciate it much more. (And no, not the pseudo-perverted visuals.. There's some symbolism in there as well.) Tsuki no Le AKA (I forgot what the translation is)- This one is one of the Outlaw Star end themes. Technically, it's the first non-horrible dub song that I ever heard. When I say dub song I mean like the American Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! theme songs. Not at all like the original versions from Japan. Actually, I completely forgot about this song for about 2 years, then I downloaded a random Outlaw Star song.. It turned out to be this one and I immediately remembered it, with my grin wide and my eyes lit up. I just find this song really well-sung. That's the main reason I enjoy it. There are a ton more, such as the Witch Hunter Robin opening theme and Gundam Wing's "Endless Waltz"-- That's the name of the song, I believe, along with the Gundam Wing movie's name. Kwai
*Imagines an English guy attempting to sing a song in Japanese* *cough* ... *bursts out laughing* Sorry, but I just had to do that lol. Last time I came across someone who was singing an anime song in Japanese, the pronounciation was all screwed up and it seemed like a lunatic trying to communicate in their own weird language. Anyway, my favorite is "Cruel Angel Thesis". There are sooo many versions out, such as Rei/Asuka/Misato, Shinji, Gendo/Fuyutsuki(creepy), DDR, Rei's birthday, etc. That obviously means that the songs were extremely popular. However, my favorite version out of all of them is the original. I think the singer's voice fits the music perfectly, and her voice carries far as well. Second to that, I like "Heart, Return to the Beginning". Its a great song, even though my friend commented on it being like a Nazi song in some parts such as "Rather than holding on to your worn-out scriptures(Bible)", and "Cast away your prayers". I think some Christians will view these verses as a bit offensive, but I think it was a good advice to give to the Japanese people.

IloveBebop
I'd have to say that my absolute favorite anime song is Ask Your DNA from Knockin' on Heaven's Door. I just love it, and the music video. *What's up, sweetcake?* Oh, I just had to do that. Mehehe, so much fun. Did I lose my trail of thought again? *thinks for a second* I also agree that the Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh opening themes are really good (especially Yu-gi-oh). *Your move!* Ah, more singing... Kanariya
Oh man I love the Inuyasha ending themes  My favorite ending theme so far would have to be Dearest then My Will then Fukai Mori. (i haven't heard the others yet) Dearest is the best because it has a nice slow beat and so beautiful. I'm up at 12:00 in the morning dancing to this song and trying to sing it but not succeeding but I'm am trying... But I also like the Kenshin ending theme. It is so fast and so...different from other music. Oh and the Fooly Cooly ending them Ride on a Shooting Star is one of the best music of anime. The Pillows ROCK! Also there are many others but so far, Dearest is my fave. I have to record these songs and learn to sing them!

Xellos
Mine would have to be: Give a Reason by Megumi hayashibara- The opening theme for Slayers Next. Personally, I think it's one of megumi-san's best songs to date. It's got a great beat, and she does an amazing job singing the song. Kagirinai Yokubou no Nakani, yet again by Megumi-The Slayers Special ending theme My Will by Dream-The first ending theme from Inuyasha

Anime`babe
Lets see, My favorite, anime music? Well, a good portion of my favoite music pieces come from InuYasha and Rurouni Kenshin. I also love the beginning and ending themes for .HACK//, Slayers, and Legend of Himiko. Another favorite would be the beginning theme for YuYu Hakusho. If anyone is interested in being my buddy, please feel free to PM me.
Cahoots34
I really enjoyed the soundtrack to Gundam Wing. It's been just about the only time I could ever bear to listen to something so techno-tastic. I'm a devout British Invasion rock fan, so it rather suprised me when songs with no apparent electric guitar riffs or acerbic social commentary found my favour. The Mac Attack
I'm a big fan of media music (ie. film, television etc) and there are many anime themes that often find themselves on my compilation CDs. I often play these on piano and use them in my personal multimedia productions. Here are a few: Sorcerous Stabber Orphen - Kimi Wa Majutsushi (aka "Are you a sorcerer?" - this second opening theme enthrals me with some good chord progressions and melodies) Gasaraki - Message #9 (I never really watched Gasaraki, but the theme sets a tone very well) Dragonball Z (Bruce Faulconer) - Super Buu Evil Buu (Faulconer's variation of a theme with disonant harmonies captivated me) Cowboy Bebop - The Full Version of Tank (the shortend one irritates me as it takes the end phrase of the saxophone out of context) Stella by Moor (it produces some really emotive harmonies) Bad Dog No Biscuits (This suited the chase scene in "Stray Dog Strut" exceptionally well) Doggy Dog (This makes me laugh - I keep imagining an African tribe dancing around a fire singing this) Go Go Cactus Man (I thought she hit the mark spot on here with a parody of a Spaghetti Western. The modulation at the end is quite moving) Flying Teapot (an all round pleasant song) Wo Qui Non Coin (I'd never heard anything quite like it before, so it get's points for quirkyness and originality) Chicken Bone (probably the best song about a chicken bone I've ever heard) Call Me Call Me (This song was of exceptional quality. It reminded me of something you could hear in the top ten charts) Space Lion (I liked this mostly because it reminded me of the Jupiter Jazz episodes) Trigun - Sound Life (It may not sound that good on it's own, but it reminds of Rem [I think that's her name - I'm only half way through] everytime. There's also another piece from Trigun I like, yet I don't know the name - I think it was used at the climax of "Escape from Pain" so if somebody has a name, I'd be very much appreciative) There are many more, but these are all I can think of at the moment.
