Ravenstorture
I've just been in hospital for three days and at my grandmother's for a week with meningitis, which was very nasty and horrible. I lay in bed for nearly the whole time, the rest of the time I was trying to eat and collapsing under the pain of my headaches for trying. I was so sick of the room I was staying in by the end of it, that for the last night I slept in the kitchen. And apart from missing three exams, forgetting a play I am meant to write a review for, and fallling nearly a month behind in my japanese, the muscles in my back have been permanantly ****ed by the lumbar puncture I had in hospital and my imune system is as capable as a HIV positive person's for the next month and a half. But hey, look on the bright side - I lost three kilos and so now none of my bras fit.
Shinmaru
Bleh, I hate sick days. First of all, it's really, really boring around my house if nobody is there with you. Second, there is absolutely nothing on television until the afternoon, anyway. And third, if I miss even one little day of school, I fall behind A LOT. Especially this year, since I'm taking a lot of AP Classes. I'm going to have to will myself to go to school everyday. Shouldn't be a problem, since I don't get sick very often and when I do, it's on the weekends.
Queen Asuka
I'm too scared to stay out of class sick. I would miss something important or it would be the ONE DAY my teacher took roll. *sighs* I need to take SLEEP days...but I guess that is what the afternoon is for, I don't know...And if I don't go to the game tomorrow, then I'll be REALLY bored...

Semjaza
I stay home quite often. It was mostly my final year of high school though. I had gone to one school for three years, and it closed down. I wound up having to go somewhere else and I hated it. They allowed up to 10 absences per semmester I believe. After five you were supposed to get some sort of doctor's note, but the guy in charge of all that seemed to like me, so he never asked. I took total advantage of this. If I'm allowed that many, that's how many I'm taking. I didn't get in much trouble for it, although my government teacher tried to start some crap. I hated that guy. PloKoonDS
Sick days are dope, at least when I actually went to class. Now Im not in public school anymore, doing things my own way, and because of this Im going to graduate High School at Semester instead of having to go all the way through May. Heh, suckers that do the public school around here *shifty eyes with the evil grin*. Any Who, when I could actually claim a sick day, I liked them. Price is Right is an awsome show, and I have missing it. But also when Im sick I get to sleep more and spend more time with my animals. So yeah, I personally enjoy sick days. Oh yeah, I also get to eat all the soup I want! And soup is awsome! ~Plo
Gohan Egret
Sick days? What are those? OH! Those days were you get to stay home, right? :p I rarely missed high school. I HATED when it happened. Having Honors/AP classes for four years teaches you something - attendance is key. And the worst part is I missed 40+ days for having appendicitis in my freshman year. I was SO behind when I got back. After that, I think I missed < 10 days in the 3 years after. Not much to do when you are sick, anyway. You feel like garbage, even if you play games or something. So *thumbs down* to sick days. ;)
Mitch
I never really get sick. I haven't all year so far. I do not enjoy being sick, of course. Nor do I like staying home when I am sick. It is a waste of time when I could be doing other things.
Ninjaman
I've been sick all week, but not enough to keep home from school. My mom wanted me to stay home, but I didn't want to because I was afraid I might miss something in my classes and I had some tests this week that I really didn't want to miss. I hate making up homework and tests/quizzes. I don't really like staying home sick from school, then again I don't like being sick period.
Guest cloricus
To be honest I have never really had sick days, my mother always made me go to school and the only time I remember when I was sick that I didn't go to school was when I couldn't walk for three days I'm sure there were more but I don't remember them. Mum is the sort of person who knows if some thing is bad/contagious/detrimental and she would assess each thing like that, she was right every time. 0,o Anyway recently I had a rather bad flu which I think was more effective because I was too tired to do anything about it, so dad made me stay at home and sleep for a day but I got to the last two classes at school. Overall sick days are good every so often to catch up but people who are constantly having sickies (say more than once a year) are just playing it. M_Chan_Angel
I don't like sick days. There's nothing to do but sleep and watch T.V,which gets boring after a while. Besides I'd rather be hangin' out with my friends then with my parents.
Baron Samedi
I love having sick days. The problem is I have only ever faked it once, and had maybe 14 sick days off, in 9 years of schooling. Bleh! about 10 of those days were when I had chicken-pox. So I have had mabe four other days in my life. It isn't fair. Sick days are fun, just stay at home, in your PJ's all day. Fun. Watch tele, Eat, Surf the net. The good life.
Demonic Angel
Well, i got colds right now. It's kinda worse, and I don't feel good. But, sometimes, i think that being sick is good cuz u don't get to go to school.
Dragon Fou Lu
i had 2 sick days roughly a week ago, one on monday another 2 days later. but the only problem i had was that i missed a lot of school work when i was off so i'm trying not to have a sick day for quite a while. :(
Xaru Silverfire
I went through a whole day of school, sick. Then I had to go to football practice because I went the whole day of school. And the RULES say that I can't go a whole day of school and miss practice. ::Mummbles under his breath:: Now I'm still sick. I slept for 10 hours when I got home and woke up at 1:30. Being sick is really a pain in the... ~Xaru
Lady Asphyxia
Well, apparently, Australians are less likely to take the day off when they're sick, but more likely to 'chuck a sicky' -- take a day off and pretend they're sick. I'm pretty Australian, in that respect. I do stay home when I'm feeling rotten, but I'm more likely to stay home and do assignments and catch up on things I haven't done for a while -- on assignment days, I do more in 1 day than I usually do in a week!
eleanor
I was sick yesterday, but I forced myself to get to school because it was the last day of ITBS testing. -And I missed Korean School today because my head aches and my throat is dry and itchy and painful. =_= I hate getting sick. I can't even talk, literally. If someone asks me a question and I try to answer, no sound comes out.
Adahn
I don't get sick with strong diseases very often. I can't remember the last time I threw up, but it would have to have been many years ago. A little while ago, I had a month-long viral sore-throat, which sucked, especially because it was during summer. I just got over a weak little 3-day cold. Other than that it's my senior year, and I really don't want to take my exams, which I don't have to if I have good/perfect attendance. I think I've got a rather strong immune system, so that's good. The one thing that really bugs me is headaches. I really hate headaches.
Fall
I cut my hand open a week ago, and left it un-treated for too long. Once I did get it treated at the hospital, it was already infected, and as a result I've become really sick. Well... not so much now.. I'm starting to get over it now. Though it was a great time for me, as I love missing out on school. :drunk:
stardust
I absolutely hate missing school. At the high school now,if you miss a test you take a zero, they don't let you make it up.It's annoying. And if you miss a day,you ahve like 4 days worth of homework to do,it's insane. Stick Fairy
Last year, I missed WAY too much school. I'm talking about thirty days. No, really. Most of this is because I'm prone to migranes, normal yet very bad headaches, stomachaches, the whole nine yards. Oh, and I've had a cold since I was seven. Really. Either that, or I'm simply allergic to school. That put me WAY behind in my work. I'm talking I-failed-most-of-my-classes behind. Had-to-go-to-Summer-School behind. Yeah, that kinda sucked. I absolutely HATED school last year. So when I wasn't feeling well, I really tried to stay home. Of course, I'd feel better by noon, but then I'd feel worse around five. Strange, eh? Now my mom isn't taking no for an answer, she just sends me off to school. Where I feel lousy again. Hey, maybe I AM allergic to school.
