Sickness

Well, here it's the beginning of winter and I got my first cold already. Yeah wow, a cold. Nothing serious. To me it's hell. I have broncitis(sp) in my chest and when I cough it sounds like I'm barking and I get chest pains. Sometimes I'll cough for a minute straight because it gets stuck in my throat. It's hard for me to breath right now and I'm breathing really fast like I'm tired or something. I slept all day today. I slept in the nurses office for about 2 hours, then when my mom picked me up I slept in the can, then when we got home, I slept in my room, then I went in her room, then i went back in my room, I got up walked haldway down the hall then turned around and went to sleep, then I got on the computer, then went back to sleep, then I went into the kitchen turned around and went back to sleep, then got up and got on the computer again. My breathing makes funny sounds like fwap, fwap, fwap. When I cough also, my throat is always dry and it makes it even harder to breath and get it out. It hurts going up and down my throat. My back hurts for a reason I don't know why. It never hurt me before. I'm still tired and it's really hot. Someone turned off the ceiling fan in my room and put my blanket on me while I was sleep. I woke up like a minute later, turned it on, and threw the blanket off me. And my nose is starting to run again. My mom went out to buy me soup and she just walked in the door.

I have the same thing, I'm just getting over it today. Yeah.... In the past 5 day's I've been freezing on the outside and burning up on the inside. When I get under covers for one minute I start to sweat. My temp. keeps going from 99 in the morning to about 101 in the evening. My nose is also running, but I refuse to take the medicine. One of the side affects is diareah(sp?) I would rather have a runny nose more that a runny ***. :)

I went to the hospital last night and they said I'm an asthmetic. I don't have asthma, but I'm an asthmetic right now because I'm sick. I have to take an inhaler, antibiotics, and steriods. These people are trying to kill me. I had to do two breathing thingys, I forgot what it was called, but it was hooked into the wall. Then I had to take the little test where I had to blow the thingy to see how much my lungs could hold. I didn't make it to 50. I keep falling asleep everywhere. The same night I made this thread, I fell asleep again on the bathroom floor and then again in front the computer.

They only gave me five days worth of medication. And I got another x-ray for my chest. There's still nothing wrong with it. But I fell asleep in the hospital too. They kept us waiting in the room an hour and a half. Then I had to take all those tests and stuff. When the nurse went to get my pescription, she came back thirty minutes later and walked past our room. She looked at me and my mom then turned and went back to get it. She had forgot after making us wait again.

I didn't get home til like 2 in the morning. Then I finally fell asleep again. Before I left to the hospital I couldn't sleep for anything. I was flipping around everywhere. I finally slowed down my breathing but it's still kinda hard.

I get colds and the flu in summer, more than I do in winter... :drunk: I haven't had a cold yet this winter, and this year's winter was over a month ago. It's going into summer now, and I bet you any money, I get a cold the first day of summer...or the flu.

I don't get hay-fever, either.

Jeez, deal with it dayday.... Honestly, we've all been sick one way or another. I find that alot of sickness can result from a lot of positive thinking... wait.. I guess you can't deal with it then.

And If your doctor says you are Asthmetic.. you are.. not all asthma is chronic.
Thank you!

Anyway, I have chronic bronchitis, thus I'm an asthmetic and have been for 13 years. Not a big deal.

Dude, that reminds me of how I kept getting sick last May. I think it has something to do with my alergies. First I got a fever. Then I got a bad head cold. Then I got leringitis (I think thats how its spelled). Finally I got strept throat just in time for exams (I still had to take them too). Anyways, it sucks being sick. I hope you get better soon. I also get asthma when I get colds. My last cold (which I had a week ago) is still with me, at least as far as the asthma goes. I'm feeling better, but I've had breathing problems for a week.

Not to mention that I had a mild asthma attack two days ago.

In any case, it doesn't happen to me very much (asthma attacks -- I've only had a handful or so that I can remember), and most of the asthma I get is reasonably manageable. These days I pretty much only get it when I have a cold anyway.

And I still had to go to school and I still had to work. So dayday, think yourself lucky. ~_^

And Kanjono...your constant poetry-speak is getting very annoying.

For all of you who get sick a lot...that's certainly not normal, lol.

Usually if you think about getting sick all the time, you will. The brain works in quirky ways like that. Try to think about being healthy and start feeling better about yourself. It usually does the trick and improves your health dramatically ^_~

I'm actually home sick today. well, halfway. half the reason I'm home is because of my rapidly developing cold/whooping cough/whatever it is, the other half is because I got next to no sleep last night because of it. feels nice to be taking a break for a day. hopefully I'll be able to get back on track for school by tomorrow.
