Ares
In DBZ movie 11(Japanese) I noticed that Krillin uses a move called like energy cutter or something. but it's not destructo disc. Anyone else know any ways that Funimation screwed up? It's ridiculous! :D
Meteora
I have no clue what you are talking about. Maybe Krillen has another attack. I dont know much about him so I wouldnt be able to help you, but my best guess is Krillen has a new attack. Or you misheard.
Vegitto4
Consider the fact that a great deal of Funi's translations aren't that well done. Of course you'll have different attack names once in awhile. not like it's that big of a deal anyway. Did it cut through something? yes.....it worked. So oh well. shibatku
I think I saw it once. I don't remember where, but I think I know what your talking about. They do look similar, but I think it's just a weaker version of the destructo disc.
Ashura
Does it really matter? I haven't seen the movie myself, only 1-8 (English), but if it didn't affect the storyline, I say its not really important. If they had have messed up when Goku did a Kamahameha, and called it Special Beam Cannon or something, I think that there would be more cause for complaining. WW2
Um, if you didn't know this already, almost all the moves in the English DB series have been given new, simpler, names. That means the Destructo Disk, Galic Gun, and Special Beam Cannon, aren't aren't the original names. They were just made up by Funimation. Hmmm, the original name for the Destructo Disk was something, like the Cutting Ring of Ki, and the Special Beam Cannon was known as the Light of Death....I think. The only moves that I know that were kept the same were the Kamehameha, Masenkoha, and Big Bang Attack. :D
SephirothNIN
I'm pretty sure Galic Gun is the same in Japanese, but for destructo disc and the special beam cannon they had Japanese names (kienzan and makankosappo). Funimation probably just translated them to something that made more sense in English. I don't know what the literal translations are, but they probably didn't want Krillin using the "supreme ring whirlwind cutting complete" or something. Kamehameha's just a word Toriyama's wife thought up so they leave that as it is. Er...although I did see some GT and movies in Chinese (had a friend translate for me) and they change it there, no clue what it was but it was weird.
