RPG Dark Forest:An Endless Night

It was the year round festible when it came................

Toan was walking to were everyone was being marry and gay. But then, it came. By it, was the Evil King and his goons. They attacked with all their might. They destroied all the houses, the little market, and many other buildings. Or at least they thought they did. A wizerd had saved them, but they were locked in cristal that scaterd all over the land.

Toan, is the boy that the wizerd chose to save the world. So Toan's adventure begins......

"You must save your village and many others to make peace again. But you also get 5 more allies to help you. You can NOT do it alone," the wizerd said as he bid farewell. " so here, she will help you." He took a step to the side and there, behind him was a cat girl.

"Her name is Xiao. She will be your first ally."

She walked up to Toan with a smile. And with that, they were off..............

[color=green]Ungaga had taken a long journey. A messenger from the King had arrived at his home. The king had heard of his exceptional fighting skills and he was to report to his castle. Told he could not refuse, ungaga travelled the four day journey to the castle. The king revealed a malicious battle plan to destroy the peasants in the land. Ungaga refused and tried to leave. He was attacked by the kings men. He escaped and rished home, only to find his home destroyed and his family killed. He vowed revenge, but knew he could not attack the castle directly.

While Ungaga was travleing home the King's evil scheme was put into play. Minions were travelling the lands, destroying villages and people. Ungaga decided to tail the carnage in order to attack minions and learn of the strategies of the king. One day he came upon the ruins of a village. He expected to find nothing out of the ordinary, but there, in the middle of town sat a boy staring at a small crystal orb...[/color]

Toan looked up.

"Hi. Are you an evil man? Or are you bad man?" Xiao said looking at him to.

Toan quickly opened the orb and the towns flew into the stone on his hand and he took out his dagger.

"Yes. Are you?" Toan said.

"Do not worry little one. I will not hurt you. My name is............."

[Maully]

[color=green]Ungaga. What happened here? Tell me now, son, and why are you not harmed?? Tell me how this came to be and what this orb you hold is.

Toan put his dagger to his side, and looked at the large man. Not knowing whether he should trust him or not he stands to face the man who stands head and shoulders above him.

Xiao, sensing the tension stands as well and starts to circle the large man...[/color]

[Lord Rannos]

"Well, so the wizard took the smart way out," came a voice from the top of a nearby building."But it would have been funny to see the big man fight you!" he said as he jumped down, "Name's Osmund, what's yours?" while he said this, he reached out his hand, Ungaga took it and said, "my name is Ungaga."

"Why did you come out of the sky?" asked Xiao. "Last time I saw a human fall from the sky, he could not get up for a whole moon." She sniffed the newcomer curiously. "You don't smell like all human. More... gray. More light." Toan hurriedly dragged Xiao away from Osmond. "Why did you do that? I want to know where he is from." Xiao's cat ears flickered. "You don't sound like a human either. You're too soft for that." Toan pulled Xiao aside. "Listen Xiao, it's not nice to start sniffing people." he tried explaining. "But why? I do it all the time." Xiao answered. "Just... try not to do it anymore." Toan sighed, then faced the newcomer. "So who exactly are you anyway?" he asked.

You hear a pounding in the shadows, and a HUGE man comes out he says,"Greetings, My name is Goro, I have been sent by the kingdom of Azerathe, I wish to get information from you."
he puts down his HUGE axe and hammer and lays down the rest of his load. then says,"Where are you going, are you allies, and if any what is your quest, for if you are on a quest I wish to join it, because I SHALL FIGHT FOR THE HEART OF AZERATHE."
You here a small rumbling in the shadow where Goro came from and Goro says " Ah, yes, I forgot to introduce you to my apprentis, his name is Erathe, \if we are going anywhere I hope I can bring him along, he can be very useful at times."

[Maully]

[color=green]"I do not think it is chance that we are all here at this time. My name is Ungaga. I seek revenge upon the king for the murder of my family. I will not rest until they are avenged."

Ungaga looked around the strange group, a young boy, a girl with cat ears, a creature Ungaga does not recogize that fell from the sky a giant and his apprentice and himself. As his eyes circled they rested on Toan, [i]This boy is so young, surely he cannot think to share this quest.[/i]

Toan - "I, too, seek the king. this used to be my village and Xioa is my companion." [/color]

[Lord Rannos]

"Alright!I'm in, this could be pretty good!" said Osmund, he ran forward a little ways than struck a heroic pose and said,"now we go to slay the king!And the big guy with heavy things can go in front!" The small party agreed that they had been brought together by fate, so they set off to kill the evil king.

[size=1][color=maroon]A couple of these posts are a little on the short side. If you could beef them up a bit with a little more details, maybe descriptions of your surroundings or what the characters in question are thinking, that would be super keen.

[color=green]"We are not going anywhere, not tonight. I see many of us have travelled great distances, and I would like to know you before deciding to make you my travel companions."

Toan - " Ungaga, that is your name, right, Ungaga?" Ungaga nodds in agreement, "Ungaga is right, it is already late and I am weary. Besides, the Wizard said I needed five..."

Ungaga - "Five what, lad? It doesn't matter, you cam tell me tonight as we sit at the fire, speaking of which, we need to gather some kindling."

The group splits up to search what is left of the village for kindling, which is about all there is. The task proves too much for Toan who decided to resume his seat. Ungaga takes the opportunity to look around and investigate. All the buildings of the village are reduced to rubble or seemingly missing. There are also signs that a large group on horseback had been here, but it is long since that they have past. To Ungaga's relief, he saw no bodies.[i] I am falling behind. I shall never catch up to those marauders, especially with this group holding me back. That boy, my god, that boy. He is so young, and there is no one to protect him. If the King's men were to find him, they would surely kill him. He reminds me of Holja, my Holja...[/i] A tear slides down Ungaga's cheekand he takes out a small shoe form his pack. [i]My son, my only son. I shall protect this Toan-boy, in memory of my son. If it is his wish to travel with this party, then, I shall go with him, if not, and he wishes to travel alone, then I shall adhere to his wishes.[/i]

Ungaga returned to the square to find the entire group had already returned and a fire had been started, which was good since he had not gathered any wood. As he approached the spot where they were Toan saw him and motioned for him to meet him a little ways away from the others.[/color]

[i]This is not part off the story, this is just a little hint... You guys don't have to pick up exactly where the last post left off, carry on with your character, like the next post can start with another charcacter and what is going on with them while they are out looking for firewood. Develop your character, the story can kind take care of its own chronology.

"Your village was not turn into rubble." Toan said away from the group.

"What!?!?!?" Ungaga said shocked.

"Did you see that cristal that went into the stone on my hand? Well that was part of mine. I am the only on that can toch them. So that means yours did not parish." Toan explained.

"So that...........so that means..........my family is not dead!?" Ungaga said.

"No, they aren't." Toan said.

Ungaga started to cry because he new somewhere out there, his friends and family were alive. The group called them back to the fire. Ungaga whiped his eyes.

"We will find them? Right?" Toan said heading back.

"Yes. Yes we will." Ungaga said going with him.

[color=green]Toan, wait.I wish to speak with you some more, without the others, will you stand watch with me tonight?

Toan - "I am tired Ungaga, I don't think I can stay up for watch..."

"That is not important," Ungaga interrupted, " I shall keep the watch. When we are done speaking, you may sleep all you like."

Toan - "Then yes, I will stand with you. Strange, even with only you on watch, I feel safe. It is no accident that we have met, Ungaga." With that, they clasped hands.

They returned to the fire where their new companions were talking about food and how hungry they were. " I saw some store in on the those buildings over there. Toan, may we have them? You are the only left from the village to ask." Ungaga said. With Toan's permission he and Goro went to get some food.

"Where do you hail from, giant, and what exactly brings you here? " WHile Goro spoke, ungaga found his mind wandering back to memories of his family. [i]Can they still be alive as the boy said? It is too much to ask for. What if I go on this quest and find that he is wrong? I could not go on living knowing they were not avenged properly[/i]

Goro was yelling," Hey, I asked you a question!! You weren't even listening. I said, 'what makes you think I am a giant?'"

"You just have such a grand stature..." They returned to the fire without exchanging anymore words. Goro was obviously angry about being ignored. Xioa was once again interrogating Osmond, and Toan staring at his crystal orb again. They ate and Toan and Ungaga went to stand watch.[/color]

"For the last time," said Osmund, "i am not from this village, or any other one."

"Then....do you live in the woods?" Xioa.

"No," sighed Osmund, "look, i'm from.....a village a long way away."

"Ok," said Xioa, she then wandered off.

Osmund's mind began to wander, as it often does when he's bored.[I]I wonder if I did the right thing by leaving my fellows.I just need to have an adventure of sorts.But....is it all that it's cracked up to be?[/I]

Osmund then just waited, chatting around the warm glow of the fire until the food was ready, wondering what the dawn would bring upon this strange, not quite, group.[I]At least Ungaga and Toan get along....[/I] thought Osmund.

Xiao wandered through the remains of the village, pondering what she had heard that day. [i]How many villages are there? The flying one says that he comes from one far away. Does that mean there are more between them? And just how far is far?[/i] She sighed. [i]Humans can be so complicated. I do wish that the magic person had not made me travel with the young one. But I suppose there is no other way if I wish to regain my shape.[/i] She spotted a bright blue pebble in the road, and kicked it. Then again. Then, she was running with the pebble, kicking it and chasing it, then kicking it again. Soon she had ran right out of the village.

"Xiao! Xiao!" Toan called stepping away from the now sleepping group.

He walked far into the village. He heard a noise beoned the village. Xiao was mewing far into the dark forest. Toan ran to help her. She got chought in a carniverus plant! Toan took out his dagger to help. But Xiao yelled at him.

"I don't need help!" Xiao said shoottingat the plant with her slingshot.

"Alright! but if y--"

"I know! But I don't now!" Xiao said shooting it with one last hit.

"Good job. You know, I used to have a cat like you."

"Used!? What happened to it!?"

"Someone took her. I miss her so much."

Xiao felt bad for him.

"Well? What am I? Chopped liver?" Xiao said happily.

Toan smiled at her and patted her head.

"Lats go back now."

"Ok!"

They walked back to camp together happy.

[color=green]"Toan, I wish to share your quest with you. I have my own things I must do on this journey, and I do not like the idea of traveling with the rest of the others over there, but I feel that you and I are destined to defeat the King, together. If you want to travel with the others, then I shall go with you, if you wish to travel alone I will jonor your wish, but you must let me know."

"The wizard told me I needed five companions, and I would be honored to count you among them. I know it is not a coincidence that we are all here tonight, it is destiny. Ungaga, I want to go with them, and you shall lead us. I have heard of you skill as a fighter, and I am afraid we'll need you."

"So be it. We should talk to the others in the morning about a plan. There are five companions here, with the giant's apprentice, do you think these are the right companions the wizard told you about???" Toan was asleep before the end of Ungaga's question. [i]Do not worry Toan, by my life or death your village and my family will be restored and the king defeated. I cannot say what is to come, but it will be long and hard, so sleep now.[/i][/color]

As the all slept, Toan couldn't. He got up and walked through the village. He looked and looked for the right spot to put it all.

"Rightttttttt...........here!"

He marked a spot on the ground. He lifted his hand with the stone. A blinding light flashed over the the village. All of a suden the town was back to normal! Everyone was back too! Everything! The group woke up. They sat there. Stuned. There was rubble before, now, a town!

"That sone did it right?" Xiao said.

"Yes. I restored my town." Toan said.

[Maully]

[color=green]Everyone was confused. Ungaga grabbed his staff. "Toan, how is this done? Where did these people come from? Who are they?"

"This is my village and these are my people," Toan replied.

"Will it stay this way? or will they disappear again?" Xioa asked.

Ungaga was very uncomfortable and before he heard the answer, he retreated to the edge of the village. [i]How was that done? There are strange forces at work here.[/i] Before he could think further, he felt a hand on his shoulder. It was the moon man.[/color]

[Lord Rannos]

"I know that the Dark Lord has hurt everyone here, one way or another," said Osmund, strangely mellow,"I can understand that you have had pain, and i understand your distrust, but we must help to defeat this growing threat,"
Ungaga replied,"I am glad that toan has your support, but we may not need your assistance."
"Fine'" said Osmund, he then walked away and started to question the towns people about their temporary imprisonment.

[Maully]

[color=green]Everyone was wandering the town, investigating and talking to the people. The townsfolk seemed to remember nothing of their imprisonment, and seemed no worse for the wear. THere was a great deal of confusion about the ruined buildings. Toan did not know how to explain these things to his friends.

Ungaga was settling down on the edge of the village when Xiao suddenly was next to him. "You like the human, don't you? Well, the wizard told me I must stay with him, so I guess we must travel together as well."

"It appears to be so. You keep referring to him as the human, are you not?" Xiao told him the story of how the Wizard changed her and told her to stay with Toan. "I think I will sleep here for the night. We shall meet again in the morning" Ungaga laid down to rest.[/color]
