There are two and only two things I dislike about it. Number one, I absolutely loathe the word 'Grunty.' ;) That's my personal opinion. Two, the title leaves out 'bracelet.' o.o; I don't know why... oh well. ^^;; I can't say I dislike it. It's certianly not my favorite ever, but it's so cute. It makes me feel happy. It's not the same thing I felt for .hack//SIGN, no, of course not. It's shoujo, and I can only deal with shoujo at certian times of the day. Sometimes I did put the book down, but now I've read it, I keep looking back at it. ^^
I nicknamed a friend of a friend Reki when I was hyper off it, and it's actually stuck. o.o;

I really like it, actually...though I am irked by the storyline and by Orca. I actually hoped there would be no more need of the bracelet after Quarantine. It's cool and all, but do I really want to read a re-telling of the tale I've played three games for almost a hundred hours to learn?

And Orca....ugh. She shouldn't have that name. And by all that's sane, that girl should put on some pants! Or SOMETHING more than what she's got! @_@

Anyway, that irk aside...I love Balmung! About time he got a sense of humor! "Those fashions were popular in the magazines I read..." *laughs madly*

Why is Balmung refered to as 'FORMERLY known as a Decendent of Fianna', anyway? Sense when do legends die like that in the World?

Um, yep, the .hack manga, Legend of the Twilight, has been out for almost a month now, I believe.

Other than maybe Excel Saga, this is probably the funniest manga I have ever read (But I don't really have that much manga, so who am I to judge?). There's quite a few internet-related jokes in there. Well, maybe not jokes as much as references. There were several newbie jokes in there. Plus the animation is top notch. The characters are pseudo-chibi, yet they seem realistic enough when they need to be.

I liked the light-hearted feel of the series, along with the feeling of an authentic MMORPG. It was time for a change in .hack. I had enough dark plots, now I want a happier one. Which we now have.

Oh, but I think they took out "Bracelet" in the title because it's long enough as it is, for an American television series.

Oh, and yes, at anime conventions across the country last summer Bandai showed a preview film witch contained series such as Love Hina Again, Junkers Come Here, Witch Hunter Robin, and the anime version of .hack//Legend of Twilight.

I'm patiently waiting until I can snag the manga with Amazon's Free Super Shipping deal, since they seem to prevent me from transferring the book to any of my pre-orders. I would just cancel the pre-orders and make a new order, but I got so many discounts, and they were limited time discounts, so I'd rather just sit and wait. Besides, school's giving me barely any time to do leisure reading...

As you may have concluded, I haven't read the primary manga yet. However, I was able to snag the Rare Hunter Sidestory (guess who that one is about ;)). The art style is really nice. I really like this style, and I wish more anime/manga that I like would use it - well, anime/manga in which the art style would fit. Haha, some anime series just wouldn't work with it!

Anyway, what's always interested me about the .hack universe is how they try to put meaning and depth to our internet generation, building on what some consider "trivial" concepts, such as, "It's ok to do this because it's the internet and no one gets hurt, right?" The way they answer that question also seeps into reality themes and ideas.

Am I making any sense? O_o

too bad though the next one comes out in about two months thats too much of a wait because I finish my manga the day I get it (except that time I bought five mangas) and it's a good series keeps me entertained but it's really hard to reread and enjoy it.oh and orcas fine the way she is.

I haven't actually managed to read the manga, (living in the UK makes it hard to get such groovy things :P) However, I have seen the first episode of the animated version and it's really kinda funny O_o;; So I'm gonna be trying to get hold of the managa AND the anime as soon as I can.

Also, you guys all seemed to like it ;)

I hope you guys mean, .HACK// Legend of the twilight, it's weird, cuz why don't they just give it the same name the Anime has, I think it's confusing people, I LOVE .HACK//dusk, and the manga (.HACK// legend of the twilight) It's funny, and all my friends at skool keep asking to borrow it, I can't wait 'till the second one comes out. :D

It's the same thing. ^^;; .hack//DUSK is a nickname, coming from the Japanese word for twilight, which can also mean dusk. The title to both the anime and the manga is the same, but it's insanely long to say in normal conversation (or rather, type. ;)) ^^;;;;;;
