RPG Digimon: The Source

David: Well, the obvious answer is that we're supposed to take down Mephistomon, so that's out.

Angel: What's that supposed to mean?

David: The real problem is [i]never[/i] that obvious. No, Mephistomon's not the real problem. Whatever made him that powerful is. That's what we've really got to take out.

Katt: And just how do we do that?

David: Give me your digivice. I want to transfer the program I used to get Guilmon X to Mega to your digivice, so that you can use it. (Katt gives it to him, and he attaches it to his laptop and begins transferring the program) Whatever it is that increased Mephistomon's power will be tough to take out, but probably even harder to find. I've had to search for some unknown energy source before, and it was in a different world. This one's probably in that same world.

Angel: How do we get there?

David: Portals to that world can't just be opened. Certain conditions must be present to get there. Fortunately, there's a point not too far from here. (He returns Katt's digivice to her, and takes Angel's, attaching it to his laptop and transferring the program) We'll have to walk a ways, but it shouldn't take too long. Someone go get Malsek's digivice. When I'm done with Angel's, I'll want to transfer the program to his, too.

Katt ran over to Malsek, and found his digivie. She ran back over to David, and gave it to him, wincing as her colar bone gave her trouble. David looked up as he transfered data. "What happened?" Katt sighed. "Fractured colar bone and cracked skull. Not comfy." David winced slightly. "I imagine not."

OCC: Sorry that is short, but i have to go...

David: Don't worry, though. You'll be fine. Injuries here are different then in our world. I think it has something to do with the data-based nature of this world, but I'm not sure. (He gives Angel her digivice and begins transferring the program to Malsek's) Basically, even severe injuries like broken bones have a much lesser impact here then in our world. They tend to heal faster, too. That's why a Digimon can take a beating and still fight just as well, and how Digimon can be perfectly fine by the time there's another fight.

Angel: This is all very interesting, but when are we going to get moving?

David: Just a second... there. (He hands Malsek's digivice to Katt, who puts it back where she found it as David puts his laptop in his backpack, and puts his backpack on) Now we just have to wake Malsek up.

Malsek stood high above what looked like an alley. The rain that pelted the ground ran through him, not touching his etheral form.

[I] It?s raining again...I hate rain[/i] He quietly observed the scene below. His house threw an eerie glow on the rain-streaked streets below. He sat down on the roof, and saw himself come out of the house.

?What do you mean you sent him alone? How could you do this? GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE! Find him, or you will never be welcome here again!? He recognized the voice of his mother, throwing words of hate at him that even she could not bear to hear.

[I]He was just going to the school to get his bags. I thought he would be fine[/i] Malsek reminded himself. He floated on to watch his younger self sprint towards the school. When they got there, he saw his brother Yakuza surrounded by the Sharks, a school group notorious for their violence.

?Leave him alone!? the younger Malsek yelled, and rushed at the group, hoping to help his brother. Five of them caught him, and hit him in the back with a conceiled bat. His younger self fell unconscious.

[I]There was nothing I could do...[/i] he pulled back invisible tears, for he knew what came next. The group descended on his brother, weapons menacing, ignoring his screams for help and mercy. He turned away, although haunted by the screams and sounds of his brother?s last night alive, floating, powerless to help them.

[I] My parents never forgave me[/i] The tears finally came as he collapsed in a heap, sobbing over his dead brother from high above, a helpless observer.

?Why did you go? Why you? Why? Why? OW!? He snapped awake as Katt prodded his broken ribs. His eyes were still tearstained.

?Bad dream??

?You might say that...? he winced as Katt wrapped his ribs around, pulling them together in a makeshift splint.

?Where?s Patamon??

?Still unconscious,? David spoke, ?We have more pressing matters to attend to. We need to find the source,?

?Wha??

?Don?t worry about it right now. Just next time, don?t trash talk a powerful digimon like that,? Angel told him in a cynical tone.

?I?ll remember that,? he cracked a smile.

"We should probably stay here tonight. I don't think I can move much with these ribs," Malsek said to his comrades, wincing as he tried to get up.

"I think he's right," Katt spoke up, "We should stay here and rest for a while,"

OOC: It's not clear to me who suggested camping for the night. If it's David who said that, then you'll have to choose someone else, because David would never suggest waiting in a situation like this.

David: We can't wait. Don't worry. Your injuries won't affect you that much. You might feel some pain, but that's all. We need to move.

Malsek: Why?

David: I've transfered my program to everyone's digivices, including yours. All our digimon can now reach Meag. Now, Mephistomon can't know about the program, but he saw me do something to make Guilmon X digivolve to Mega, and he's doubtlessly figured out that the other Digimon can now reach Meag. Now, we're going to the place where I think whatever made him as powerful as his is is located.

Malsek: What's that got to do with the Digimon?

David: Mephistomon can't take on the Mega forms of all our Digimon at once. I think he wants this thing to make him stronger. I don't believe that that can be done, but we can't take the risk. Besides, we'll have our hands full already. We don't ned him there, too. We need to get there now. Everyone, follow me.

Katt nodded that they should listen. Malsek shrugged, wincing as his ribs shifted. She let Icemon get in her arms, then she followed David. She caught up with him, and they walked in silence. Katt finally said," Umm... Sorry i didnt get arond to actually saying hi. I was kinda pre-occupied. So.... How are you latley?" Katt looked away at her futile attempt to make conversation.

David: (Thinking) Last time I've been to where we're going, I was with someone who'd been there before, but I never had. This time, I'm the one who's been there before, and I'm leading others there. This time it's my job to explain the rules of that place, but I don't even know many of them. I just hope I'm up to this. (Out loud) Stay alert, everyone. We can't let Mephistomon catch us off guard, and he might be going to the same place we are. And we're almost there.

[Revelation]

[size=1][color=ff66cc][i]Angel just ignored David and put her headphones on. She blasted her music and let the music enchant her. It made her forget about her problems, her life, her style, and especially her attitude towards people. She looked down to Ankokumon who was up in the branches looking out at the skies.

Angel turned to the others and took her headphones off. "Perfect" by Simple Plan was blasting. She looked to David.[/i]

"Hey, David."
[i]Turning, his attention was towards her.[/i] "Yeah?"
"You should know that whatever you say about this place. I won't care. I know what it's like here. I've had....experience. Most of the digimon here are my friends. I'll know who they are because I didn't make a lot." [i]Angel replied.[/i]

[i]David just stared at Angel. She took it as a yes and left. She walked to where Ankokumon was and stood there. She put her headphones back on. She didn't have a single worry about this place and she sure didn't care about a lot of things. She just wanted to get away.[/i][/size][/color]

(sorry I haven't been posting here I didn't know I was Accepted into the RPG.)
*Slade sits at his computer looking at the program.*
Slade:"This Program... I wonder what it does..."
*Slade finishes activating the program and gets pulled into computer and gets put onto the Digital world. Agumon alpha(I will put Agumon for short.) is there and The Digivice for Agumon appears on Slade's jean shorts.*
Agumon alpha:"Hey there..."
Slade:"Whoah..."
Agumon:"We should go find the others..."
Slade:"Others?"
Agumon:"Yeah other Digimon and there Digimasters... We should group up with them."
Slade:"O.k."
*Slade and Agumon start wandering around looking for any source of life but thensits down with his stomach growling.*
Slade:"Man I'm hungry..."
Agumon:"We have no time to eat..."
*The digivice starts to beep showing to dots.*

Malsek followed David without protest, although his ribs screamed for rest with every step he took. Patamon sensed his pain, and flew along side him, keeping a steady rhythmn of wingbeats as he hovered by his partner?s head.

?Malsek?? he said suddenly.

?Yeah?? Malsek winced and took in a sharp breath.

?Do you think this guy is too big for us? I mean, can we beat him?? he whispered low enough so that none of the other digidestined could hear his doubtful talk.

?I dunno, Patamon. I?m sure we wouldn?t?ve been chosen if someone didn?t think we could do the job.
David seems to know what to do, as do Katt and Angel,? he glanced up at Angel, observing her for a split-second too long. She was still spacing out with her headphones, the strands of a punk song wafted into Malsek?s ears. He snapped out of the dreamlike state he was in, and looked back at Patamon.

?I?m sure we will find some way. We will know what to do, and if we don?t, we help each other through it!? Malsek said with fake confidence. In his mind, he was thinking the same thing; [I]How are we going to beat this guy? He threw our digimon around like ragdolls. I hope that David knows what he?s doing.[/i]

He stepped again, but the pain that normally shot through him was less and less.
?Hey David! You are right! My ribs feel better already!? David didn?t respond, but continued to walk forward.
?Everyone, remember to stay on your guard. We don?t want to be attac-? the words were barely out of his mouth when a pack of Flymon dive-bombed them, ?****! Stay down!? he yelled as the Flymon let loose a barrage of stingers.
Malsek dove out of the way, grabbing Patamon out of midair, and barely grazed by a stinger. He saw the other digimon glowing and growing already.

?Patamon, you know what to do!? Malsek pulled his digivice from his largest pocket, and pointed it at Patamon. White light shot at him.

?Got it! Patamon digivolve to...Angemon,? Once again the six-winged angel majestically rose to engage with the Flymon.

?Growlmon, attack!? David ordered as Growlmon sprang into action, launching himself into the air, and slicing through two of the attackers.

?Icemon, Aurora Bomb!? Icemon launched a powerful explosive, decimating one of the Flymon.

?Ankokumon,? the wolf-like digimon attacked with full force, taking care of two more Flymon.

[i]Two more left. Angemon can take them down[/i] Malsek thought as Angemon yelled, ?Fists of Fate!? and pure energy blasted apart the rest of the digimon.

David: We're almost there. Keep moving. I think Mephistomon's near.

Katt: Why?

David: That was just like before. Another weak attack. But we won faster this time. Of course, I don't think Mephistomon's after us. He's after what we're after, and that attack was meant to delay us so that he could get there first.

Angel: Than let's get moving.

David: Hurry. (They follow David, who is running. Soon, he stops) This will be a jolt. (He steps forward and dissapears. The others follow him. They appear by an ocean in a very strange world. There is no color to anything, not even the water. The Digimon return to their Rookie forms) We're here.

Malsek: And just where is "here"?

David: A world called the Dark Ocean.

Angel: And what we're looking for is here somewhere?

David: Yes. And I think I know where. See, portals here work differently then in the digital world. They can't just be created. Instead, there are a few preexisting portals in this world that are always open. Their locations are not set. They rotate around a point at varying distances. I know where that point is, but not what's there. I think it's what we're looking for. We need to move. We don't want Mephistomon to beat us there. Follow me.

OCC: Takuya, could you stop witth the follow me's? Its really hard to post something if you have no clue of where your going...

IC: Katt slipped her portable CD player out of her pocket, and turned it on, headphones on. [I] Angel can do it, so can I. [/I] She blared 'Catch me if you can' by Angela Via, humming softly to it. She was ready for battle, those Flymon had pumped her up. Her green eyes shifted constantly. Icemon jumped up, landing in her arms. He snuggled down, and dozed off. [I] Lucky. [/I] she thoguht, smiling down at her sleeping partner. She dropped back from next to David, walking at a more normal pace next to Malsek. Her foot hit a rock, jolting her injuries, making her flinch. [I] Tuning out is so hard, I did better in Gym... [/I]

[Revelation]

[size=1][color=ff66cc][i]Angel put her headphones back on, but strange things were heard. Voices, static, sounds, something was coming through to her.[/i]

"Wait. Don't go that way." [i]Angel said to David.[/i]
[i]He turned and looked to her.[/i] "Why not?"
"Something about a great danger is near that way. What you're trying to find isn't there. It's within your hearts." [i]The sounds stopped and nothing was heard within Angel's headphones.[/i]
"What was that all about?" [i]Katt asked David.[/i]
[i]He stared blankly at Angel.[/i] "I have no idea. It seems that Angel's...uhm, what system do you have?"
"MP3. Made it myself. Tracking system, Audio Transmissions Scramblers aka ATS, encrypted Audio transmissions to whoever I send it to, music downloader, cell phone, phone book, laptop connection- I can hack into anything with this, because it connects to my computer and latop. It's all the handy electronics in one. Amazing, ain't it? It's also got what the army never thinks of and more." [i]Angel said as she brings out her cell phone shaped MP3.[/i] "It's bigger than some MP3's, but it's the only thing I carry around with me. I call it Digital Electronic System, aka DES."
[i]This gave David an idea.[/i] "Maybe we can see what's there with your Digital Electronics System. Here, I'll hook it up to my Laptop."
"Actually, you don't need to do anything." [i]Angel replied.[/i]

[i]She took her DES out and dialed in a random phone number and it hooked into David's laptop. Soon, they got several maps, encyclopedia, and radar of the Dark Ocean.

David typed in the coordinates and the quadrent came up. A map came up with what was there. Then a large black figure appeared. That was what was there. Along with something behind it. That was what they were after, as well as Mephistomon.[/i][/size][/color]

(Sorry I didn't see that they were in the Dark ocean's world.)
*The beeping stops, Slade walks over to where the digivice said. Slade sees portal and he walks through it and walks forward eventually he saw a group of digimon and people are there.*
Slade:"Hmmmm... Are you The other Digidestined and Digimon? If you are Glad to meet you names Slade..."
*Puts his hand out to shake hands.*

David: Mephistomon's in the area. It looks like he's heading toward the central rotation point. That means that I was right. Oh, and Angel?

Angel: What?

David: I know it's dangerous. If you don't think it will be, don't come. If any of you don't think that this will be dangerous, then stay here. A portal will pass through this area in about half an hour. So, does anyone want to stay?

[Revelation]

[size=1][color=ff66cc][i]Angel stood there stifling her laughter. Then she started to burst out laughing. The others looked to her, seeing that this wasn't what she was acting like before.[/i]

"Are you okay?" [i]Katt asked Angel.[/i]
"Yeah. I'm fine. Please. This [i]isn't[/i] as dangerous as I thought it would be like last time. But then again, what isn't dangerous to me? I live for danger and I intend to go. Am I right, Ankokumon?" [i]Angel replied.[/i]

[i]The digimon nodded and Angel just looked to David with a look. He just stared. He nodded his head and looked to his watch. It was 25 minutes till the portal would pass through.

Ankokumon teleported around the place for a bit, only to find that she would be led to the same area, well what looked like the same area. She came back.[/i]

"I'm bored. Aren't you? How about we play a little game, Ankokumon?" [i]Angel asked Ankokumon without turning her head.[/i]
"A game it shall be that you wish, Angel." [i]Ankokumon replied with a mishevous sound in her voice.[/i]

[i]Ankokumon disappeared and she tripped Guilmon X, making him shoot out a fire ball at Patamon, which nearly hit him, but it hit his ears and it made him wobble and hit Icemon. Angel started to chuckle. It was somewhat fun, but not as amusing.

David looked to the digimon shouting at each other. He stood up and looked to Angel.[/i]

"What did you do?"
"What? I was just having a little fun." [i]Angel said sheepishly.[/i] "It's not like I was trying to kill anyone. Plus, Ankokumon is careful. She knows. Am I right?" [i]Angel asked the invisible Ankokumon.[/i]
"Yes. She is correct, David. I am careful and this is entirely unsatisfying to me. I live to fight." [i]Ankokumon had explained to David.[/i]

[i]He nodded his head and left. He checked his watch and it was 10 minutes till the portal came by. They would have to be ready.[/size][/color][/i]

David: Last chance. We've already waited too long. If you're not absolutely sure you want to come, stay here.

Angel: I'm coming.

Malsek: After what I've been through, there's no way I'm turning back.

Katt: Do we really have a choice?

David: Yes, actually. We either try and stop whatever Mephistomon's trying to do, or we wait until he does it.

Katt: Then I'm coming.

David: Good. Follow me. (They start walking) (Thinking) It's only a matter of time before things start to get really nasty. I hope they can handle it. (Out loud) Angel, tell Ankokumon not to do any more pranks. We can't waste our energy watching out for practical jokes. We need to be as ready as possible when the **** hits the fan, which will probably happen when we reach the central point.

[Revelation]

[size=1][color=ff66cc][i]Angel just looked to where Ankokumon, who was gone to the others, but visible to her. Ankokumon understood and just flew beside Angel silently.[/i]

"Do we [i]know[/i] exactly what's going to happen?" [i]Angel asked David as they walked.[/i]
"No. Not yet. But, I'll probably know when we get there. Don't worry." [i]David replied.[/i]
"Worrying isn't my problem, it's what we're supposed to do. Oh, well." [i]Angel said to herself as she put her headphones back on.[/i]

[i]Ankokumon suddenly stopped and looked around as did Icemon, Patamon, and Guilmon X. Guilmon X and Ankokumon started to growl as their eyes dilated to cat like. Angel walked over to Ankokumon as she started to appear.[/i]

"He's here." [i]Angel said to the others.[/i]

[i]David looked to her as she looked to where Ankokumon stared. Something large was speeding towards them. It was Mephistomon. At the other end, a portal neared them. Ankokumon looked to the portal and whistled. The digimon and Angel looked to her, they ran to the portal with their partners.[/i]

"Come on! We need to beat Mephistomon to it! We can't let him get in!" [i]David said as he ran to the portal.[/i]

[i]Guilmon X was right behind Angel. Ankokumon teleported to Guilmon X and teleported him to where David was and then Icemon and Katt, then Patamon and Malsek, and then Angel. Tey gathered together and they were dragged into the portal. As they entered and it closed, Mephistomon was too late.[/i][/size][/color]

Malsek: I thought we wanted to get to the central point, not enter a portal.

David: Did you expect the central point to be just sitting there? It's isolated from the rest of this world. That portal we passed through was different. It was more of a gate. It closed, but I'm sure it won't be long before Mephistomon finds another one.

Katt: So we're still in the Dark Ocean?

David: Yes. We're just in an isolated area.

Angel: So, what exactly are we supposed to do?

David: I don't know. (He looks around, then points) But I think that that has something to do with it. (They all look where he points. What they see is a large black sphere) Unfortunately, I don't know what. (Mephistomon passes through a gate and into the isolated area) Oh, ****!

Mephistomon: I didn't expect you to make it here, but it does not matter. You are too late.

David: We'll just see about that. Guilmon X, do it.


Guilmon X warp digivolve to: Megidramon X


David: Everyone, use the program I gave you! Just do what I did the first time I used it! With all of our Digimon at Mega level, we'll kick his ***.

Mephistomon: We'll just have to see about that.

[RioLaskand]

Mephismon materialized into the isolated area, and Malsek's blood ran cold. [i]He won't let us live this time[/i]

"P-p-patamon?" he said in a shaky voice, "Can you fight?"

Patamon nodded, and smiled reassuringly,

"I'll fight till every bone in my body is broken! Malsek, I will protect you, and everyone else. Nothing will get past us, and we will survive!" Malsek's eyes, which had been slightly dank and dark since his injury, lit up again in a fervor of emotion.

"Go kick his ass! Warp digivolve!" he screamed, thrusting his digivice at Patamon. The program David had installed worked immediately, blasting white light through Patamon.

"Patamon warp digivolve to...Seraphimon!" the huge digimon flashed into being. Six golden wings glinted behind grayarmor that covered almost every inch of the Mega-level, stopped only by blue plates at its shoulders, elbows, and knees. A sash went down his front that had Japanese characters emblazened on it.

"See, Malsek?" it spoke with a booming voice that chimed of a deep bronze bell, "We will be just fine,"

"Oh you will?" Mephismon smirked, "I beg to differ. Dark CLoud!" the blast rushed towards Seraphimon. A white light was being concentrated on the digimon's hand.

"Hallowed knuckle!" he sliced through the energy blast, cancelling it out.

"Very interesting trick!" Mephismon spoke, pausing for a second.

[i]Patamon's right! We will win this one![/i] Malsek spoke, ignorant to the Source hidden behind Mephismon.

David: Megidramon X, attack!

Megidramon X: Fires of Devistation!

(Two rather large fireballs form in Megidramon X's hands, and he throws them at Mephistomon. Because he's distracted by Seraphimon, Mephistomon doesn't see them coming until it's too late. the fireballs hit, creating two large explosions and knocking Mephistomon to the ground)

Malsek: All right!

Katt: This might not be that hard after all.

David: We're not done yet!

Megidramon X: We will be soon. Fires of Devestation!

Seraphimon: Hallowed Knuckle!

(Both attacks hit Mephistomon, who is knocked back several feet. He hits the black shpere, and is enveloped in some kind of dark energy)

David: That can [i]not[/i] be good.

Angel: What do we do?

David: We get out of here!

(He quickly pulls out his laptop and works on opening a portal to the digital world)

Katt: I thought portals couldn't be created here.

David: Portals to this world can't be, but portals from it can. There. It's open. Let's get out of here!

(Everyone runs through the portal. They appear in the digital world, at the same place where they had first arrived there)



(Mephistomon is still enveloped by the dark energy. The longer he is, the smaller the sphere gets. When the sphere is gone, the darkness around him dissapears, and the Dark Ocean can be seen again)

Mephistomon: This world will collapse soon. Its anchor is gone.

Voice: That does not matter. (Mephistomon finds himself in the dark area where he was brought before) You will adapt here. When you have, you will return to the digital world and eliminate the humans and their Digimon partners.

Mephistomon: Understood.

[Dj Professor DM]

*Slade and Agumon Alpha sees a portal and dashes through it and lands right behind the other digidestined back in the digital world.*
Slade:"I've been looking to join up with you..."
*Slade and Agumon alpha stand up.*
Slade:"What is the plan?"

Malsek: Um... who are you?

David: If I?m not mistaken, he?s the other person I sent the message to. His name should be Slade

Slade: That?s right. How did you know?

David: No time for that now. Someone tell him what?s going on. I?m going to see if I can figure out what the hell just happened.

[Revelation]

[size=1][color=ff66cc][i]Angel was too busy listening to her music, she did not hear what David had said. Looking to Ankokumon, she tilted her head to a direction. Ankokumon followed. When Angel knew she was out of sight and out of hearing distance, she spoke to Ankokumon.[/i]

"Teleport yourself and ask around. We need information as to Mephistomon's next move. If anyone tries to fight, teleport yourself quickly away. Also, disguise yourself. We do not want anyone knowing who we are or who you are. Understood?" [i]Angel ahd asked.[/i]
"It is quite well." [i]Ankokumon replied as she started to teleport.[/i]

[i]Putting her headphones back on, she walked back to the group and looked to Agumon Alpha. It was a fact that some digimon did not like her. It did not matter. She was in the digital world for no reason and it was a shame to even fight.

Sighing, Angel walked away from the group yet again and she soon found herself near an area, close by the group, that had a sweet scented air and a cool breeze. She closed her eyes and let the wind hit her face as well as her body. It felt good to have that kind of air touch her. It was rare for this to happen in the city. Perhaps the Digital World was not such a shame after all.[/size][/color][/i]

(As Katt explains what's been happening to Slade, David is working on his laptop. He has a spherical device attached to it)

Malsek: What are you doing?

David: I'm examining scan data. The device I have attached to my laptop uses various types of sensors to record what's happening. It detects several different things, including form. But form's not what I'm interested in right now. It can also detect various forms of energy. That data is giving me some useful information about what happened.

Malsek: Where did you get that device?

David: I programmed it myself. See, this world is based on binary code. 1s and 0s. t their most basic level, computers are also based on binary code. I've figured out how to create programs in a way that allows me to transfer them to this world, where they take a pysical form. (Pause) Holy shit!

Malsek: What?

David: The energy level of that black sphere. (Pause) Shit!

Malsek: What?

David: I'm picking up the kind of fluctuation that indicates a portal opening. There's a signature at the center of it that matches Mephistomon's. It's different, but still close enough that I'm sure it's him. And he's headed our way. (He looks around) I'm going to try and find out what exactly is different about Mephistomon. You go find Angel. Tell her what I've just told you, then get her back here. I have a feeling that we'll all be needed if we're going to survive.
