Pagan
I really like the new season of Angel. They have really made the show better; it has more twists and turn. The old plot was kind of boring; they would just kind of run around and kill demons. Now on the other hand the new plot has them fighting evil still but now they must defend it also. They can't defend the evil to good or the evil will be set free so they must have perfect balance at all times. It is like CSI, Law and Order, and the Pratice all rolled into one. I think they made the right decision in cutting some characters while adding others. I think Spike was a good addition to the rosters; now we have two vampires with a soul. I believe this season will be a great one. What do you think?
Amorphous
First thing, I actually though that Spike was now a human not a vampire. But I guess that he could still be a vampire, which I am begging to believe now. That's just what I heard though. I mean I'm a complete fanatic of Angel and Buffy. I always was. Yes it was though a very nice addition and I always liked Spike, even when he did turn his back on evil or tried too. Of course he was much better when he WAS evil. Still he is my favorite character of both series. Now as for the season premiere of Angel. I have to say they did an excellent job. Even if someone new was just coming into the series, it may be a little confusing because of the background and history and just to understand most of it you would have to watch both Angel and Buffy through. All in all if you were into that kind of stuff it would hook you, in I would think within the next few episodes if you gave it a chance. The episode though was great, just I really liked how realistic it was when he found out that
Mr.Fry (I really hope that's his last name) had placed that virus bomb in his own son. Angel was just on the phone shaking
That was a cool cliffhanger right before commercials. Also just because I love action that was packed into it. Though I don't usually take it into account as much as the other aspects of the show. I think the part was great when...
Angel kicked the shotgun straight up against his chest. As the commando or whoever he was, was about to pull the trigger and it was pointing point blank at the bottom of his chin, blowing his head off.
of course it wasn't the depictive or gory but it was still cool. Just the appearance of Spike alone was why I wanted to see the season premiere. Great episode though, with trying to protect the evil but trying to stop it at the same time. It was a pretty cool balance. Oh and yes the new season should be excellent I hope.
Manic Webb
I'm still reserving my opinions of this season until it gets into full motion. In other words, I'm waiting for them to explain why Spike didn't remain a pile of ashes after the Buffy finale. I thought this episode was okay. Had a few funny moments, like when
Angel was choosing a car
. I'm also liking the necro-tempered glass windows they've got going everywhere. If I were a vampire, the windows in that office building would be my dream come true. I knew there was a reason why I call the show Angel "The Buffy Obscurity Refuge." Whenever a character from Buffy disappears into obscurity, you can bet that they'll eventually turn up on Angel. Cordelia, Wesley, Faith (for a few episodes), and now Spike &
Harmony
. When she showed up, I knew this season was going to be crazy. So I'm really waiting to see where this season goes. My predictions? I see
the gang of Angel Inc. leaving the law firm by June, an unbelievable amount of cameos from other Buffy alumni, and Cordy waking up from her coma and finding some flimsy excuse to leave the gang.
