erinzyger
This evening ((or would it be afternoon?)) at around 4:30, my friends's ((there's 4 of them)) house caught on fire. None of them were hurt, except for the oldest, who's hand's were burnt, but not too badly. The rest of the boys and their parents, luckily, weren't home. Because the fire got so out of hand, they had to eventually knock down the house. They're staying with friends in town now. I feel so sorry for them, loosing their home and all their belongings, and I want to help them. The only problem is, I can't think of anything to do. I really want to help them somehow though. If anybody has any ideas on what I can do, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you. -Erin
Chichiri's Girl
What omigod Erin who?!?! Anybody I knew back there?! Thank god they are okay! Well I guess you could be extra nice when you see them again but i doubt that's the advice you REALLY want....hmmm wellyou could give them stuff you don't need anymore like clothes ext. You could just help them through tough times by listing and stuff. The whole point of friendship is to be there when your friends need you so go do it! erinzyger
Thanks for the advice D. It was the 3 brothers, Jordan, Joey, and Micah, and Zach. I don't think you knew them. The only problem with your advice is that they're...you know, tough guys. And the only one who I really see anymore is Jordan. I just really don't know what to do... Harry
Give them some matches, or if you want to splurge, a lighter.
James
o_O;; Harry...their house burnt down. Try to be at least a little constructive. Maybe you could donate some of your belongings to them, especially if they lost most of their stuff in the fire. Other than that, I don't know...obviously there is really nothing that can truly replace what they have lost. Do you know if they started the fire themselves, or if there was some other cause?
erinzyger
It was the oldest one, Zach. He's a sophmore in highschool or somehting...He didn't set the fire perposely, but he was messing around with firecrackers or something in the house...can't remember what exactly...but it started a fire and eventually got out of hand. James
Ah I see. Yeah...playing with firecrackers in the house is definitely not a good thing. In any case, I hope that they come out of it okay. At least nobody was seriously injured.
Deedlit
Firecrackers in the house?! o.0;; One would think that he would at least play with them outside or something....
Baron Samedi
I must admit.... what kind of genius would play with firecrackers in a house. Most people. But this particular genius must have been playing with flame as well as fircrackers. Clever. I do feel sorry for them though, that would be really bad. Just say you feel really sorry for them, donate clothes etc. Are they insured?
Sara
Something pretty easy to do would be to get them some fun food. I'm serious. When people are in need, you've always got the wonderful souls who will go out of their way to make them casseroles and hotdishes and other things....but they'd probably like to just have some junk food to snack on, too. That's my suggestion, anyway. (Unless they've got that covered themselves, in which case I would opt for making chocolate chip cookies or something.)
craig8429
Well I must say thats very horrible. if you want to do soemthing be friends with the person be their shoulder to lean on. things will be rough for them but, if someone is there as a true friend and supports them they will get better. Gentle
Make them a little care package or something with some things they might need. Or donate some of your stuff that you don't use anymore to them. Anything that would make it a little easier for them.
erinzyger
:) Thank you so much for all the suggestions guys! I found out today from Micah ((the second oldest)) that they were able to salvage a few things from the downstairs ((the fire started upstairs)). Actually, he found some clothes that were untouched in the dryer. It hadn't gotten to that room yet. Again, thanks for the suggestions! -Erin
Corey
*sigh* I was beginning to feel sorry for them untill I found out that one of them set the fire themselves. Give the guys that did not start the fire your shoulder and your support, for they will definitly need both. And take Harry's suggestion to heart for the fire-starter. Anyone that plays with firecrackers in the house needs a little bit of extra guilt.
Ares
Ares: well you could... Shadow: Shut up! Ares: as I was saying... Shadow: shut the
heck
up, would you? I'm sleepin' here! Ares: *hurries up and talks* You should hang out with them and maybe even give them some food! Shadow: RRRRRRR Ares: gotta go!
