Curfew?

I'm 15, and I don't really have a curfew because, well...I don't really go anywhere. Sometimes I'll go over to a friend's house, but I can't really stay very late (unless I just spend the night), since I have to get a ride home. And every now and then there'll be a youth group event that goes late, but again, I either have to get a ride home from my parents or from someone at the event. Because of this, they always know where I am, so they don't really care how late I stay out.

That kind of goes along with my practically nonexistant bedtime, though. My mom has pretty much given up trying to make me go to bed at a certain time; I've finally gotten it through her head that making me go to bed at 11:00 PM doesn't mean I'm going to actually go to sleep any time soon. So, I basically just go to bed when I get tired, which can very quite a bit. My mom basically just comes in to check her e-mail before she goes to bed and tells me something along the lines of "Dont' stay up too late, okay?" And I try not to, but I do just go to bed when I get tired enough to actually sleep, whenever that happens to be. (Right now, it happens to be about 2:00 AM, and I'm starting to get tired).

So it's not really how late I stay out, but whether my parents know where I am. I imagine that, if I ever manage to get a car before I move out, it'll probably stay that way, too. I seem to be considered the "best one" out of me and my three brothers, so I think they'll trust me enough to know I'm not going to do anything stupid.

My curfew is 12:30 PM. It is an okay time, I suppose, but it would be better if they just let me do whatever as long as I check in.

They pretty much do not completely trust me; my mom is worse than my dad. I do not think they grasp the concept of being straight edge, and the fact that I am usually hanging out with other straight edge kids.

To actually go out I have to clean and clean and clean. After that, as long as I check in she's usually ok. And if I don't check in, she just hunts me down and I can never go out again for like a month. I think it's worse because I'm the youngest child, and my elder siblings were horrible so she doesn't want me to turn out like them and I get the stricter rules and such. It's unfair because she bases most of her decisions on their actions and I'm always getting screwed, but I'll be out of the house soon and then I can stop complaining.

Agh... I am to be home no later than 9:30. If I'm not home, then all hell breaks loose. One time, my mom thought I ran away, and I found her crying in her room thinking CPS was going to get on her.

THANKS FOR CARING, MOM! BY THE WAY, EVER LOOK IN THE BACKYARD?

I swear, my mother is inebriated.

I have a curfew, I have to be home at 9:00, in bed by...well I get to pick when I go to bed, but I never leave my house and if I do it's down the street to 7-11 to get some candy, or the park to watch my little sisters, but I can only go with a friend...and during the day time. ^^'
So my curfew really doesn't suck that much cause I never do anything.

My curfew varies depending on where and when I'm going but my mom's usually pretty laxed about it as long as she knows where I am and I call. In the city were I live there's a city wide curfew which is 11:00 on weekends, holidays, and during the summer and 8:00 on school nights. I think that kinda sucks.

Yeah, but it's not like anyone really follows those curfews. Plus, unless your local cops are complete assholes, I'm sure they wouldn't be too mean about kids being out after the curfew unless they're causing trouble.

I don't think the city-wide curfew was EVER enforced in my city. In fact, I don't even know what time the curfew was.

I think the city curfew here is 11 pm. 12 am on weekends, maybe? I don't really know.

It's really only an issue if you're on the road anyway...and you'd have to be doing something to warrant being pulled over. On top of that, if you're headed home (I don't know where else you'd be going after eleven) I don't think it's a problem, anyway. /

Well, I technically don't have a curfew...

But, that's when I have a car. If I don't have a working set of wheels, I have to suffer at my middle-of-nowhere house and go to bed at 10:00.

I don't mind that too much, but what I do mind is having to get up at 4:30a.m. the next morning to get to Driver's Ed. at 6:30a.m..

Man, I'm tired as hell right now...

Man the whole idea of curfews is stupid i mean its not hard to break curfew as i have done when visiting cousins in other places. but what i think is worse is bounderies some people have to stick to. i mean i use to have to make up excuses to go to the park but then again it was about 2 miles away so i would always tell my mom i fell asleep in a tree cause ive done that before... oh yeah i do that alot and especialy on days i dont wanna walk home for lunch i just climb a tree and sleep in it. but boundaries are stupid and i was always a good kid but then one day me and my friends got on the skytrain and went to vancouver so i guess thats the day i broke out of my good-kid cocoon and since then i havent ever thought twice about going anywhere and some times i even go into alberta and thats like 200 km away. but now im getting my bike licence and my brother is selling me his street bike for 100 so i bet ill be going where ever i want when ever. and since hes getting a new street bike anyways ill probably go race him all over the province.

LoL im in college which = no curfew hahahaha. Nah really when i was like around 14 i could stay up or do whatever tell whenever. My parents thought i was mature enough to handle things on my own and pick my own reasonable times to go to sleep. Basically it makes sense....as long as i told my parents where i was going and what i was doing they didnt care. On the other hand if i didnt call them in advanced they would get pissed off and take my celly away for a while.
