[u]Beginning of Extract[/u]

Hoenn a lush, vibrant and beautiful land blessed with warm sun and cool rains, was once the battleground between two great Pokémon of the ancient world. The Sea God Kyroge fashioned the seas and brought life of fish and all things aquatic to world while the God of the Land Groudon raised mountains and made the land, giving creatures a place to dwell if the seas did not suit them. Soon the two great creators vied for the dominance over the land of Hoenn, Kyroge flooded the lands and sank them while Groudon raised his mountains as dams to block the flooding paths. The two creatures reacted so violently to one another's presence that they didn't realise the delicate nature of the balance that they had created. They did not realise that without the seas all water on the planet would cease and that droughts would destroy all the life which had been created, while without the lands all the planet would be flooded and all would drown in the torrential rains from above.

Eventually after much struggle both creatures were subdued and their natures calmed. Thus were created the Red and Blue orbs, these mystical spheres had the power to control these great and Ancient creatures and to cause them to stay hidden. Deep in slumber beneath the world of man where they stay hidden below the very mountains and seas they themselves created. These are places where no man should venture lest he unleash forces of great destruction he cannot control and the world's delicate balance is destroyed. The two great Orbs worshipped by man as the bringers of peace were placed on the highest tip of Hoenn, Mount Pyre. Thus the training of Pokémon began as a way for man to commune with these wonderful creatures with which they shared their homeland. Each village would train their own type of Pokémon and sent their representative to fight in great battles against neighbours. Eventually the greatest of all their champions would come together and contest one another strengths in the end the strongest was proclaimed Champion and was welcomed back in great celebration and glory. It is from these battles of old that the Pokémon League was founded and the tests of time set.

[u]Nowadays..........[/u]

The above are some of the myths and legends which surround Hoenn, and told to excited children as bedtime stories by their parents. Some believe that there is truth to these Legends of the great Creators of Hoenn Kyroge and Groudon as the are called, but there is little evidence to support these beliefs. There is some truth to these legends, the noble beginnings of the long established Pokémon League are widely accepted as that which is passed on in such legends. Pokémon training has become a contest of enjoyment, which spans ones entire life and ends in hopeful glory as the League Champion and beyond.

In the tiny town of Littleroot in the Pokémon Laboratory of Professor Martin Beech, young hopefuls find themselves jumping with delight and excitement as they wait joyfully to become trainers in their own right, to go on to become Champions of the Pokémon League. To overcome the Gym Leaders and the Elite Four and have their achievements imbedded in their memories for the rest of the lives to come, this is the dream of most Pokémon trainers. You young child are one such hopeful at the beginning of your journey to greatness, you wait in almost unbearable glee as you walk towards the Professor to receive your partner from the professor, thus begins your legend of hope and dream.

Welcome one and all, to the Hoenn adventures. This is a simple RPG that I made up, as you could guess most of the information supplied related to the new Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire game. However there is some that I made up myself and I am rather proud of, such as Professor Beech's first name, ahem. The RPG revolves around the journey of the new young Pokémon trainers who are just arriving at Professor Beech's Lab to receive their new Pokémon, such trainers come from all over Hoenn and I will hopefully be able to provide a map of Hoenn before I start the RPG.

[u]PreRPG Rules[/u]

There are only a few and I would ask that they be kept to in the RPG, I don't want to have to go and start hounding people over their posts OK, let's just enjoy the RPG and make the most of it.

[list]1] When it comes to posting I don't want to read 3 lines of drivel and then be told it was someone's post, I won't allow or accept it. When you post I want a good bit of detail that means at least 2 paragraphs [16 lines] and I would like them to be of as good a quality as you can OK.

2] No Godmodding. When it comes to battles please don't beat your opponent senseless and claim victory, draw it out maybe lose even, this will just help strengthen your character as a person. I would like a major battle to last at least 2 posts and be realistic.

3] For the RPG I 'm going only allowing trainers to have Pokémon which have appeared in [b]Ruby & Sapphire[/b] sorry but it just keeps everyone on the same pace. I am not going to allow people to have Legendaries, or Unique pokémon like Rayquaza or Regirock.[/I][/list]

[U]History:[/U] Landon was born in Johto and grew up in Olivine City, his mother was a Nurse at the Pokemon Center and his farther a Marine Pokemon Biologist. He was raised around Pokemon from the moment he was born, whether it was being at the Center with his mother, or going out on an mission with his farther. His childhood Pokemon was a Farfetch'd which his farther had caught the Day before he was born so he decided to give to Landon as a kind of 'Birthday' present. When he was seven his farther got a job offer from the Weather Center near Fortree in Hoenn.

On the day of the move Landon had to realse Farfetch'd back into the wild, but it followed him and the boat as far as it could until having to fly back toward Olivine. On arrival Landons farther was greated by the chief scientist while he and his mother got used to the new house. The Pokemon around Fortree were quite different to the ones from Olivine and he wasn't exposed to them as much because now he was older and his mother didn't need to take him to the Center to look after him and his farther was working in a lab and no longer went out on the expoditions. After his 16th Birthday Landon told his parents that he wished to be a Pokemon trainer, so they allowed him to go to Little Root to get his own Pokemon and start his new life and adventure in the Hoenn Leage,

[U]Personality:[/U] Though Landon is a quiet kind of person that doesn't mean he doens't care about people and Pokemon. He can be very caring when it comes to the safety and well-being of his Pokemon, especially Blaze, and will always take them to the Pokemon Center when the need arises. When it comes to people he is fine with Pokemon trainers but not with most others people, he tries to avoid them so when walking along he is either looking around or talking with Blaze if he is out of his PokeBall. Generally a calm and considerate person, he only becomes loud and impulsive during a Pokemon Battle.

History: Adonia was born and raised in the lap of luxury. Her father was an extremely wealthy business man and her mother was a Pokemon fashion designer. Her parents wanted only the best for their daughter and they spoiled her with anything she wanted. This of course turned her into what she is today ((see Personality)). But she wasn't all bad. She had an interesting obsession with Pokemon right from the start. It all started when she began to take care of the family Persian by herself and grew from there.

When she turned 13, Adonia wanted to take her Pokemon obsession further and finally become a real Pokemon trainer.

Personality: Adonia is a spoiled brat. When in contact with humans, people see her as a brat and a bit of a snob. She loves the fact that she's rich and let's people know it! But when she's with her Pokemon, that's a completely different story. She's a caringperson who loves her Pokemon companions to pieces and would do anything for them.

(This is basically the closest I could find to what she looked like in my head - damn the internet!)

[b]History:[/b] Life in Oldale Town is exactly exciting, and so she grew up wishing for adventure and creating her own mini journeys through out the town. However, on the outskirts of the town, near Route 103, her little game suddenly became very real and a Poochyena lept out of the bushes at her. Being a fairly precocious 13 year old, she ran the other way screaming. When she told her father about it (her mother died giving birth), he said to stay away from the pokemon because [i]"Poochyenas are dark pokemon and you don't want to get yourself hurt."[/i]

The next day, she came back to the same spot again, and just as she was about to become the Pokemon Master of the Entire World (tm), the same Poochyena appeared again. This happened for a week or so before Camdyn decided that the Poochyena didn't seem all that dark to her, and certainly had yet to harm her in anyway. The next time she saw the Poochyena, she pronounced that she wouldn't run away. So when the dark Pokemon jumped out at her again, she just crossed her arms and stared it down. The great contest began. The two sat staring for a good 15 minutes before Camdyn sneezed, and lost. At that, the Poochyena disappeared.

This, however, started a new game, and so for the following week, Camdyn returned to the same spot everyday and challenged the Poochyena to a staring contest. Everyday she lost, and the Poochyena would leave. But finally, one fateful day, the [i]Poochyena[/i] sneezed, and lost. Excited, Camdyn hurried home to tell her father, only to find that the Poochyena had followed her. And [i]that[/i] was how Camdyn caught her first pokemon.

Since then, she's been obsessed with Pokemon (even more so, anyway), and is determined to become a famous Pokemon Master. She figures that not only will she be famous, it'll give her dinky little town something to talk about.

[b]Personality:[/b] Camdyn is a very clever, spirited girl and she enjoys training pokemon and playing with her Poochyena (Pooch or Poochy for short). She's a sucker for anything chocolate, and has a horrible sweet tooth on top of that. But she's actually a very strong-willed girl and once she puts her mind on something, she doesn't stop until she gets it done right. She loves a good adventure, as well as any adventure stories, and is an avid learner. A friendly girl, she doesn't make enemies very easily, but she is very competitive and sometimes her temper can get the best of her. Even then, she always means well, and she's really trying to work on that anger thing. Honest.

He also wears white gloves cut at the fingers and keeps his PokéNav well fastened to his waist.

[b]History[/b]: Van was born and raised in Mossdeep City and loves his hometown with all it's differant experiences with the seas, the land and the stars. His mother works in Staleport City as an engineer on the ships and takes Van to see when they're making a new one. His father is the local Gym Leader at Mossdeep City and Van would always go and watch his father battle with his Pokémon. It is from here that Van gets most of his interest and fascination in Pokémon. Van gets along really well with his grandfather Dan who is a Novelist and has always loved hearing his old stories about the seas and about Pokémon. But most especially he loves hearing about the old legends and myths of the two Creator Gods Kyroge and Groudon and their battles to control Hoenn.

When at 13 he spoke to his father about becoming a Pokémon trainer both his parents and his grandfather were overjoyed, though Van possessed an equal interest in becoming a novelist like his grandfather. His father said that he would take him to see the Pokémon Championship, when it was on the following month. As it happened the Pokémon Championship occured on the weekend of his birthday. His father told him that watching the Pokémon Cahmpionship would give him an idea what kind of effort it would take him to become like those Trainers. While watching the Competition Fianl in Ever Grande City, Van made the conscious that he would become one of the best Pokémon trainers ever and do whatever it took to achieve this dream. His determination was fierce and cannot wait for the day he will begin his own travels with Pokémon of his own and challenge the League.

[b]Personality[/b]: Van is a kind and caring guy, he likes the company of people and Pokémon alike and but every so often he likes to spent his time reading his grandfather's books and researching the ancient legends and myths of Hoenn. Actually lan it is impossible for a pokémon like beldum to not have takedown as a move at the beginning cause that's it's only move till level 10. Are we able to catch pokémon in this Outcast?

[size=1][color=#707875]Yes of course you're able to catch Pokémon, what kind of an RPG would this be if I didn't allow people to catch new squad members for people's teams. However it will be limited to those who appear in [b]Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire[/b] so no real changes then in the games.

One thing though I see some people have problems with the Sign Up and that's probably my fault. By "[I]Base Moves[/I]" I meant those which a Level 5 version of the Pokémon has, you can see the list of them [b][url=http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/pokemon_rs_level_up_moves.txt]Here[/url][/b] and then just use [b]Ctrl+F[/b] and find it's name and base moves OK, I hope then that's sorted.

One last thing, Lan everyone is still waiting to receive their Pokémon from Beech's Laboratory, so you can't have got yours yet OK. Also when everyone gets their Pokémon there is going to be a little tournament to find the strongest New Trainer.[/color][/size]

Appearance: Red eyes with a yellow tint around the outerrim of his pupils. He has jetblack hair and tanned skin. Also has a good build. He wears a suit. Even at his age he acts sophisticated.

History: Kyru was raised in a harsh manner, never getting what he wanted. That was the main reason for catching his first Pokemon and challenging his town's gym leader.
His Electrike zapped it's opponents 'til knock-out, and his harsh comments stung the opponant trainers' just as much.
He formed a great bond with his Electrike, making them an unstoppable duo. The only person he's lost to so far is his older sister.

Personality: Kyru is a sophisticated, cynical guy who loves to put people down. He knows he shouldnt, but he does. He can take one tiny slip up in what someone says and turn it on them. Breaking people (mentally) is one of his greatest and most well know strategies.

History: Otogi was brought up by his father who died recently after he (Otogi) turned 2. His mother died in a cable-car crash going to buy some Lava cookies shortly after he was born.
He was brought up by his older cousin, who worked as a staff member for the city gym.
He grew up alongside the son of the gym leader. His son was a bully however, and Otogi was resentful. He now wants to train strong metal- (and rock) type pokemon to defeat the gym leader's son in a battle.

Personality: Energetic, but easily angered. Some times he acts without thinking, but he seems to get around ok. He has a habit of correcting people, and has annoyed the heck out of some of the city elders because of it. He is normally shy, but can be very outgoing when given the chance to learn the personality of another.
