Manga Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle [Warning: Spoilers]

From what i heard It's an AU story Line...
w/ Sakura,Li, Toya, and Yukki from CCS
And guest stars are intersting....
X/1999 ppl, Chi from Chobits
and a few others... anyon have any more info or Pix of this?
I hope it's translated... It sound interesting

Actully I have heard of this. There's this one site called hollow moon that the webmistress is a total fan of Arashi from X so she knew about it. All I know is that Sorta and Arashi are in it and that they are married. I think there is something like fallin into alternet deminsions or someting like that. It's still running in Japan so inless you can read japanese it probably will be unheard of till mabey 2006. I think Toykopop would jump at the chance of another CLAMP series....but that's just what I think.

[size=1] Yes, I've heard of this, and to tell the truth, I'm extremely interested. It's not a rumor, either. ^_~ It's mostly based around the CardCaptorSakura characters.

--Setting: Land of Clow [ancient times, methinks]

Touya is the king of the Clow land [or whatever], Yukito is the magic priest-person for the kingdom [sorry, my memory is fuzzy], and Sakura is Touya's younger sister, which makes her the princess. ^_~ Of course, she has a mad crush on Syaoran, her childhood friend. [i]And[/i], of course, Touya doesn't like Li at all.

So anyways, Sakura somehow 'loses' her memories. Strangely enough, her memories are feathers. [don't ask] Syaoran is the son of the archaeologist Fujitaka, and is the only one who can find the feathers of Sakura's memories. He has to go on a quest with Fye, and Kurogane. And then you add in this thing about Li being the 'chosen one' and Sakura having hidden magical powers.

Anyways, on topic, I've heard vaguely about this series, but I never delved into reseaching it properly.

The plot line seems interesting to, for how many times some of the elements have been used before. Somewhat inventive, if I dare say so. Though the character designs do seem to deviate from what I've seen in the manga the various people are taken from, it still looks promising. I may very well give it a test run the next time I go to the mall. Being that it's got so many CLAMP characters, I'm sure I'll like it, lol.[/color]

[color=firebrick]:) It's been liscenced to Del Rey Manga... a new manga buisness. They got it pretty quick because of some deal. *scratches head* Well, whatever. I'm just glad that they picked it up, but sort of sad at the same time because maybe Tokyopop could have translated and gotten them ready quicker. The second volume isn't due out until September 2004. CLAMP also put out a hardcover edition of TRC...probably to milk this thing of all its money and stuff.

:3 So, yeah. I'm pretty obsessed with this manga right now, lol. A lot of people don't like it because they see 'many flaws' or something. It's our regular adventure manga, but I like it a lot for some reason. Probably because of Fai and Kurogane. [/color]

While Tokyopop treats popular or highly anticipated titles with a bit more respect than regular series, I'm still glad Del Rey licensed Tsubasa and Xxxholic. Some of TP's editors are frankly just bad, and even Gravitation (which is a fan favorite and has been selling quite well) contains all sorts of typos that should be totally unacceptable in a professional release. Tokyopop has a ton of great manga and manwha, but given my druthers I'd rather buy something from ADV Manga or Del Rey. That's kind of sad, considering that said companies are both new to the business.

Anyway, thus far Del Rey's manga have fantastic print quality, better paper than what most Tokyopop manga uses, and are basically flawless when it comes to dialogue and such. So you shouldn't be too sad. Besides, the long waits between volumes will allow you to start saving up for CLAMP no Kiseki. ^_~

I've heard about this recently from a friend of mine in Canada. Due to the fact that I'm on vacation right now, I have no way to buy manga. But the last time I was at the mall in May, it wasn't in stock. The storyline sounds like it has a bit of overused plotlines blended together, and lots of characters. To be honest, I'm not a huge CLAMP fan because of their art style (really picky on art...), except I'm willing to give this a try because I'll be persuaded [cough]threatened[cough] into buying it by my Canadian friend anyway.

Has anyone read the series? I think it's wonderful. Especially with Syaoran and Sakura

Its about Syaoran and Sakura (from Cardcaptor Sakura). Sakura is princess of the Clow and Syaoran is an archiologiest (Sp?) and they both like eachother. Sakura has some kind of freak spell on her which causes her to lose her memories. Now Syaoran, Sakura, Fai, Kurogane, and Mokona (from Magic Knight Rayearth) travel from world to world to find Sakura's memories which are in the form of feathers.

Same with me. The only experience that I had had with anything CLAMP was the dubb of Card Captor Sakura and that was a [I]very[/I] long time ago. I've never really been interested in any other CLAMP titles either. There was something about the style that I didn't like. However, I like the style in Tsubasa despite the very elongated arms and legs. It's kinda neat, though.

This is a really great series, but I think I'll have a problem waiting for a new chapter to come out (whenever it does) every week. I'm not a very patient person.

Those of you who took a little break from it should start reading it again. It's taken a turn from a somewhat cheerful mood to a more dark (?) mood, I guess. CLAMP has certainly done a damn wonderful job of confusing me, and I have absolutely no idea where [spoiler]they got the idea of turning Fai into a blood sucking enthusiast (even though he isn't that enthusiastic about it).[/spoiler]

If you don't know what I'm talking about then go read it. Save me the trouble of confusing myself and/or making myself look like an idiot. Lawl.

I'm current with the series I don't believe there are a lot of fans over here I got interested in it because I saw the mix of characters from Card Captor Sakura and other series like Clover.

I enjoyed it just to read a nice innocent series for a change the new twist with the storyline seems pretty good. I've kinda been waiting for this to happen for a while so am definitely going to keep reading for a bit. :catgirl:

All right, so, has anyone been keeping up with the chapters in Japan? We've been given more of Fai's background and I must say, I feel bad for him. Not to mention Sakura. And Syaoran. And Kuro. And, well, everyone. Prepare for [STRIKE]the fight scene[/STRIKE] spoilers:

[SPOILER]Wow, so, Fai and the twin who died so he could live? Or the clone. Any thoughts on that? I personally think it was a twin sister. And I still don't understand how that person died. They fell but...somehow, to me, it seemed like there was nothing Fai could do to stop it. I've heard people say he was selfish but doesn't seem like it. And then, flash to now and we learn that as long as Fai lives, he's cursed and now he's stabbed Sakura. I think the curse is interesting but confusing. How can he kill those who surpass him? Unless the curse was aimed for Sakura only. And at least Ashura-ou is turning out nice[/SPOILER]

I'm also surprised wikipedia has already been updated with this information. Fans work in mysterious ways. I have to say, though, I'm glad this arc is finally picking up. I was getting tired of the moping. Someone needed to do something.

Aside from this stuff, I'm enjoying the less angsty spot we are at stateside. It was fun to see Tomoyo and Sakura together finally. And I appreciated the Kuro and Fai stuff. I forget what would is next. I rather want the one with the Victorian look but I can't remember now ^^;;

I'm glad that we finally get to see his past and the real reason why he was running away.[spoiler]I thought Fai left Ceres because he commited some horrible crime. Now I can breathe a bit since he didn't turn out to be evil. However, now I think he's going to be more than a little emotionally traumatized from stabbing Sakura even if she isn't really dead (everyone should have seen that coming).[/spoiler]

The new spoilers came out for Wednesday's chapter! [SPOILER]It sounds like Kurogane stops Fai from stabbing himself or something. That makes my inner Kuro/Fai shipper happy. But Syaoran and Kurogane don't sound happy. And that Sakura's soul ends up in that tube of doom from the beginning of Tsubasa. This makes me wonder what's going on in that scene from the beginning. Maybe Syaoran couldn't save her soul?

Also, apparently Sakura's vision was of Fai killing Kuro and Syaoran. I wonder why he would have done that, though? I'm seriously not nderstanding it. But, next up we finally see what went wrong between Ashura-ou and Fai. I do wonder why Fai fears Ashura-ou, you know? But I'm also glad, yet still worried. Oh, I definitely think that [SPOILER] the curse is still mostly the kill stronger person thing. But I think Fei Wong Reed made that curse very specifically for Sakura. I mean so far he's messed in everyone's lives, all just to get Sakura dead. Apparently he's been referring to Sakura as a corpse and she's close to it, now. So it's possible Fai's curse was meant for Sakura.

And I'm very worried about what that interview meant. But I seriously can't imagine anything at this point that Fai could do to make me hate him. He just stabbed my favorite CLAMP character and I still don't hate him. Granted he didn't want to but still. The only thing that's making me mad with him is how he pushes Kurogane away and that's it. [/SPOILER]

Oh and CLAMP has said that, at this point, we're only 65% through the manga *laughs* So, I'm happy things still have time to get better for everyone. I'm hoping for a happy ending.

I'd also be pretty content with just one (specifically between Fai and Kurogane, of course). [spoiler]I think they're gonna end up fusing together because I know that Sakura would throw a hissy fit if one were to die. I think the Syaoran clone is, for the lack of a better word, programed to go after the other feathers or do whatever it is he's doing.[/spoiler]

65% !! They have less than 40% to finish! That's not a lot to me. Well, I hope it has a good ending but I've never like most of the endings to the series that I've seen.

Blue Moon, where are ya?

I just read chapter 153 and Fai's recent [spoiler]admittance about all his lies is starting to piss me off, not to mention Syaoran and Kurogane by the looks of it.

Fai and the rest of the gang are finally going to Celes to try and find Sakura. I was so excited about seeing this part so long ago and now that they finally get to the Celes arc, I have to say that I'm not as pumped up about it as I was. I just wish Fai would put a damn smile on his face already. He's making me depressed.

Hopefully the series gets a bit more cheerful. This gloomy atmosphere is getting on my nerves.[/spoiler]

Heh, you're definitely right. I guess I haven't gotten used to [i]not[/i] having any sort of comic relief or heart-warming scenes or anything like that in awhile. I probably shouldn't be expecting anything anytime soon though. Only CLAMP knows how long they're going to be in Celes.
