Within the halls of the TechnoMagi council

As Roph stepped into the blessed place he could feel the mass of magic in the air, as he walked, as he breathed and even as he thought. He paused for only a while before continuing on his way, along the passage he saw many stain glass windows showing important people or events from Archons past, and all the way has a great picture painted upon the ceiling of the very first TechnoMagi, the man to unite the magic and machine but his name had been lost over the many ages and wars since the joining. He did not know why, but Roph got the feeling that the painting and images upon the windows were watching him as he walked and listening to his echoing footfalls.

After what seemed like hours Roph reached the end of the passage and was greated by two large ornate doors with many intricet and delicate designs carved into it, on the side of each door was a statue of a great warrior from Archons past who had defeated the first of the DarkMagi. He breathed in silently as the great doors swung open revealing the TechnoMagi council, each siting on a marble column surrounded by a blue aura. For a few moments non of them spoke until the lead member, Gant, addressed Roph.

"Roph, Champion of Archon. Do you know why we have summoned you here?" He asked in a solum voice.

"I do, sir" Roph replied in a steady voice.

"Then you know what you must do, seek out Orphe and destroy him, for the good of Archon" Gant said, in a somewhat sterner voice.

"Yes, sir. I understand what I must do, sir" Roph responed, in the same steady voice.

"Then you may go" The TechnoMagi said and waved his hand toward the door"

Roph bowed to each of the seven council members, turned and headed toward the door. The journey down the corridor was much faster than the way their Roph thought to him self, though he still got the feeling that each image and painting was watching him go, as if they knew that he held the weight of Archon upon his shoulders, well he and his group did.

Vinz lay flat under the red flyer. He whipped his head, as he quickly screwed in the loose bits.
"That's should do....Phew!" He said climbing to his feet. He looked inside the flyer and nodded. He looked at the person next to him, who was waiting. "It's working fine now." He said staring at the man. Vinz didn't wait any longer, he had some thinking to do.
"I'll see you later then." He mumbled, walking off.

He walked along through a huge amount of people, with his hands in his pocket thinking. He wasn't watching where he was going, just walking. He felt something nudge his arm, and he turned round. Some guy ran pasted.
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" Shouted Vinz. He mumbled. "Stupid guys around here. Do they have any manners?" Vinz looked up. Some one nudged him again, but this time he didn't bother looking.
"Hey." A voice said. Vinz looked up.
"Wha'? Oh." He noticed some guy smiling at him, he was taller then Vinz, and maybe older.
"I heard you like machines. Could you coem with me?" Said the man.
"Er, ok." Vinz followed the man through the crowds.

Vinz sat down, and smiled. He just had to do a quick job for some one, and it wouldn't take long. He also had time to think about things.
"Why do I get involed?" He mumbled. He rubbed his eyes.
"I should just go some where far away...and live a life without worries..." He grumbled. Vinz jumped up.
"Guess that's life..." He yawned.

OOC: I hope this is OK.

Delles yawned. She was leaned against an outside wall of an inn.It was so boriing and there was nothing to do...She was thinking deeply. She yawned again and stood straight. She reached up,stretching her frame.

'This town is so dull...'she thought to herself.

Delles walked away and looked for anything interesting. With any luck she wouldn't bump into her older brother Vinz.He dreamed so much and was obsessed with flying like their father was.

As Delles continued to walk through the town something caught her eye.She spotted a shooting range. She smiled slightly and headed over to it.There were small booths with a target on the back wall in front of them. One of the men smiled at her and offered her a gun.Delles just turned away and drew her pistol. She took the safety glasses and ear-muffs from the next man and walked into one of the booths. She aimed and fired 5 quick shots. They all landed in the middle of the bullseye. She faced the men who were quite surprised.

"I want a moving target."she said coldly.

The men were shocked but nodded and lead her away into another area. There was no one else inside the room.2 men stayed with her and turned on the machine.Targets started to swing back and forth.Delles took aim and hit it in the middle everytime.Soon she called 'faster' and the man turned up the speed.Delles still kept up and continued to hit the center.

"I want to do the discusses."

Now they were more surprised but the second man got out the launcher and shot the disks.Delles aimed and shatter the disks.Soon they were out of disks so she left the shooting range, looking for something else interesting.

Orphe. Not as imposing name, nor did, truly told, Orphe make a greater impression in physical form. Oh, but for reputation...Now there truly told a tale, a tale far more wrong than right. But the history was written by the winners, and Orphe had already completed a first draft. He sank back, low slung chair, a strange weaving of some kind of vegetation over a low, long wooden frame, holding under him without apparent strain. Given Orphe's less than....extravagent physical self, it probably didn't strain. And whoever had made the chairs, he lost track of who did what somedays, had done quite a good job. The tent was currently unoccupied, though Aven's presence still permeated it. Or perhaps it merely permeated him. She'd left more than one mark on him, in many forms, but he was still unable to tell just what seals she had placed over him.

Truly told, he was enraptured in her enough that he didn't care, and he had far more important things on his mind.

His camp, currently in the middle of Verlyth Forest, was probably the most pressing thing. It was the common problem with revolutionaries of every kind, worlds over. They all had several things in common. They were full of fervour, zealous to a fault, normally self righteous, and almost universally unwashed.

Thankfully, his close compatriots knew better.

His slightly finicky idiosyncrasies weren't at stake here though. The main problem, as always, was logistics. Everytime they moved, the thirty or so minor flunkies and his closer companions were hassled by the major problem of setting something up that was moderately livable. He'd work that out later though. Right now, he had to work out something of an attack plan, and something of, much more importantly, a rallying cry. Hell, he had speeches to write.

All the bad, normally romantically cliche histories he'd ever read never seemed to include that point, the heroes always had inspirations on the spot. Orphe, the man expected to tear the world apart, was aggravated because he had to do some public speaking to convince people of his point of view...

Maybe he'd just kill most of them.

Vinz sat down at the bar. He had just finished the last job, and was rubbing his eyes. He looked up at the bar man, who was laughing with the other people. They where talkign about flyers, and Vinz interuppted.
"Hey," He said. "Could you get me a glass of water, please?" Vinz asked. The bar amn grinned. He was round and ugly, and the rubber gloves made him looked like a gangster from the year 2000. He shoved a glass of water into Vinz's hand, and sloched off.
"People these days...." Vinz mumbled gulping down his water. "They's throw me out if it where up to them..." He growled. He got up, and began to walk off.
"Are you gonna pay?" Grumbled a voice. Vinz whriled round.
"For a glass of water?" snapped Vinz.
"Nothing's free in life!" The bar man grumbled. Vinz throw him a gold coin.
"Keep the change!"

Vinz ran to the clif edges later. He got nudged by people a few times, but he just pushed them back. He sat down, and smiled. The wind blow back on his face, and the waters clashed against the rocks. Birds flew around the rocks screeching. Vinz put his hands down, and picked up a slim stone. The throw it, and it skimmed the water 6 times, before plopping in the water. The sounds of the waters filled his ears. He thought about what he would do when he got back home. He wasn't a amazing fighter, but he kicks things and keeps himself in shape. He's strong, but he has to be. He loved to fight a bit, but he never had time to train...

Hnaging his coat up, he sighed heavly. He was in his friends club, for people that trained with guns and weapons. He just came here to sit down and talk. People walked pasted with wepaons, and most had pusle riffles.
"Life sure has supraising things in it..." He lied.
"Hey don't be so down." Said a familair voice.
"Oh, hey Rilki." He said. A teenager with long black hair sat down near him.
"So how's life?" Rilki said.
"Dull..." Sighed Vinz.
"Come on..." Rilki paused. "Oh, I gotta go. Talk to you later!" Ralki said.
"Later."

OOC:I'm sorry if this is kinda crappy but it's late and I'm kinda having writers block
---------------------
After the meeting with the council Roph had gone straight to his home to prepare him self for the coming challenge and also to fetch the list of the people which would join him, he had never meet any of them because the list had been created by the Scribes after studying the vast archives on the population of Archon. In truth he had actually meet on person, Chelte, she and Roph had some history because they were both trained by the council at around the same time, though Chelte was younger than Roph they had made some kind of connection.

But she had gone cold toward him after he was released from training eariler than he because she felt she was as ready as he was and wanted to be put on mission but the council had told her she was to young. Now when ever she and Roph meet she would try to outdo him and prove he was better "This is a serious mission, so she better not screw it up with her petty rivalry" Roph thought to himself. He continued around the room gathering the equpiment and supplies he would need for the mission. He sighed a bit when he realised that Chelte, being the closest by, was the first he would need to contact.

After one last check around the house he gathered his things together and set out on his first real 'adventure', if you could really call it that. The first stage of the journey, Roph thought, was just to get the 'Rangers' together and ready to fight, he just hoped that non of them were squimish and didn't like using weapons or MechaMagic. He glanced back down at the list and realised that one of these people may be the one called Strift "I better not worry about it until I meet him I guess" He thought. To make sure that Chelte would be there when he arrived at the Training Ground he took out his Vid-Watch and silently prayed that she wouldn't bite his head off or go over the top.

Chelte was flopped over on her bed, reading, when a loud beep from the corner startled her and she fell with a loud crash. "Owww. What the...?" She rubbed her head as she fumbled for her vid-watch. Oh great, it's Roph. Ever since he got to go on missions before me he's been so full of himself. But let's at least see what he wants. She pressed a few buttons, and suddenly Roph's face appeared holographically over the watch. "Well, hello there. Feel like going for a mock mission? Or did you just come to taunt me?" "Oh, so funny. No, actually I'd like to talk with you, that is if I can without you biting my head off." Roph replied. "Oh, is that it? Well, I'm afraid my vid-watch is low on batteries, so if you'll excuse me." Chelte was about to turn it off, when he answered. "No, you're not excused. Actually, I only called to warn you that I'd be paying you a visit. A real one. So clean your room, I'll be there in a few minutes." Chelte shrieked, but the picture disappeared. Disconneted before I could reject. Must be something serious. Chelte grabbed some clothes and hurriedly stuffed them into her closet, then dusted off her hair. "Yikes, what a mess!" she exclaimed. She traded her novel for a textbook, then tried to smooth out the wrinkles in her dress. If it's serious, I'm gonna make him take me seriously if it's the last thing I do. Finally, she checked her vid-watch. She pressed a few keys, and the machine clearly stated "Inquiries?" "Yes. Firstly, any messages?" Messages. Searching... Negative messages. Inquiries?" The vid-watch performed it's check in a matter of seconds. "Yes. Missed alerts, reminders, or other programmed times?" Oh, I hope not. Sir will have a fit if I missed two things today. The machine searched. "Missed alerts. Searching... Negative. Inquiries?" "No, thank you. Finish." Chelte answered, letting out a sigh of relief as there was a loud knock on her door.

OOC: It seems everyone has writer's block. Oh, and I almost never write in multiple paragraphs. I just smush them all into one big long one. If this is a problem , please tell me.

"Red team, take your postions." Echoed the voice of the club manager. They where playing a game, where you just shoot each other. The first team to get up to10 flags wins. Ofcourse, there guns weren't real.
"Blue team, take your postions!" The manager said. The clunk of metal sensor (without them, there would be no game). Vinz clenched his red handgun.
"3...2...1...Play!" A green light flashed around the maze-like arena. The blues seemed to have disappeared. Vinz got bored before, so he decided to play his favourite game in the club. He was red commander, and his job was to keep on the leaders back.
"Red leader, you got point!" He said down his transmitter. The red leader nodded. Vinz looked around. He saw bits of blue...and took no chances. bang! he fired the handgun, and a perosn in blue stepped out and dropped his gun. This game was really good fun to Vinz, and it was hard, but Vinz liked it.

"Todays match:
Blue team: Won- 6 Losed-8
Red team: Won-9 Losed- 5
Todays winner is....Red team. Thankyou." The manager announced. Vinz smiled as he took his coat and headed to the club lounge. He was glad to be a member, very glad. He sat down and sighed.
"What you haveing sir?" Said the waiter.
"Er...just water please..." Replied Vinz. The waiter sped off. Vinz looked around. he began to read a notice next to his table;

Notice to all members-
There will be a tournament for skilled members. As you may know, there have been many virtal war games, but this time there will be a tournament. Only the best can get through. there will be sign-up's on Monday 18th. Thankyou

"Sir, your water."
"Thanks..." Vinz mumbled.

Gulping down the rest of his water, he jumped up and stretched. Vinz whipped his mouth and headed to the club exit. He was thinking about this toruanment...it sounded like a good thing...if he could get some free time. He walked into the cold night, and smiled.
"Nothing like a cold night to loosen yourself!" He said yawning. he walked off, smiling at himself.
"Geeh, I wonder if this tournament would be any good. Oh well, don't know until you try..." He sighed and walked off.

Strift sat up on a chair infront of a table with mechanical parts on it. He had been playing around with a toaster, and a microwave, and the list goes on and on. Sadly he had gotten no rest for the past days, because he had been worrying about his family. Even though the council man said they would be taken care of when he was on the mission , he still worried. He could not see them in real life, and why should he trust a machine. It is easy to fake a call on a halophone.

"I really need some sleep," he said to himself.

He start to think about something other then his family, which of course was machines. He stopped playing around with the parts and went to sleep on the soft white covered bed.He still though about his family a little, but he still was able to go to sleep. The council man had also given his a hotel room when he was gone.

Strift awoke on the floor. He could feel when he awoke that he was not on a soft bed anymore. He must of had a bad dream, but still, he didn't remember what he was dreaming of. He got dressed, and lefted his two weapons. He soon went to a club he had joined, but never went there. He never had any time though, training with his weapons, training his body, and training his mind didn't give you any time.

OOC: I'm sorry I'm so late. Hit me.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The Verlyth Forest looked beautiful in the bright midday sunlight. The golden rays played through the trees, casting warm shadows across the soft ground.

The sound of the gentle breeze playing through the leaves was incredibly soothing. He let his eyes close and the sound of the breeze carry him forwards through the forest, as if in a trance. He loved bathing in the untainted, natural sanctity of the forest. This was one they hadn't yet touched.

He came to a high rise in the path- through the gaps in the canopy he could see the spires of the taller buildings in the TechnoMage's city looming ominously over the landscape.

If he wanted to he could decimate it in an instant. But he respected Orphe's wishes too much to let himself succumb to petty destruction. He could wait.

But not for long.

Whirling his staff through the air, he disappeared in a flash of light, treavelling on his way back to the encampment.
