OOC: This is a real mytholigical rpg, but you won't need to know many of them.

Odhin's hall, where Norse warriors feasted with the gods after death in combat. This land was known as Valhalla for many centuries, until the god of death, Anubis, saw to it's demise. He destroyed the only gates to Valhalla and directed the only path unto the netherworld, where honerable warriors found misery and chaos for the rest of time. Anubis did not stop there, though. He sealed heaven and sent it into the cosmos to spend the rest of time. Zuess (however you spell it) Put a curse on his head to live in mortal lands, as an unaging mortal himself. He now travels the land in disguise, unknown. It has been 10,000 years since. Guns are in the close future, but not yet known to the world. A traveler has been sighted in england, and where ever he goes, horrible demons and such rise in his wake. Only a chosen few can feel it, the new threat that creeps up on the world...
