What is your favorite Dark Magician form and why is it?

The Dark Magician is one of the most versalite cards in the game. It has many forms and they all are very helpful and powerful. The basis Dark Magician has very good offensive and defensive stats. Everyone loves this guy and he is a basic in any magic deck.

The Dark Magician of Black Choas looks the coolest in my opinion but his stats could be better. They should have atleast made him strong enough to take down a Blue Eyes. I hate ritual cards anyway and I don't really think he is worth it.

The Dark Sgae is the weakest but his special effect more then makes up for that. Being able to play a magic card each turn is a great asset and can be very helpful on both offense and defense, but I wouldn't like to age him like that.

The Skilled Dark Magician is great, he can counter any attack your oppenent makes and is pretty strong. That make up for is lozy stats. It is also helpful in summoning the basic Dark Magician with its effect. I love one offering summon but she could be a little stronger.

The Dark Magician girl is so cute and I just love her. Her effect is pretty good if you are a crappy duelist who loses alot of monsters and will need the effect. I still love one offering summons.

Last but by far not least, The Black Paladin. This card os great it looks so cools and has excellent stats. I still wish he could take down a Blue Eyes, but wait he can with his special effect. The Blue Eyes would give him and extra 500 attack point raising his power to 3400. He can tear through a dragon deck in a matter of seconds.

If I left one out please add it and put down a brief description. If I got something wrong please correct me. Thank you!

If you have a Dark Magician deck PM it too me.

I have a feeling that this thread is going to be closed very soon, due to the fear of spam, but I'm going to go with an answer for it anyway.

I'm going with the Dark Magician Girl, not just because she's a girl and that she's cute, but also because of her effect. I mean, let's face it; Dark Magician is a good fighter, but he's just too hard to get on the field. Sure, some people have pulled it off, but for some reason they'd prefer to use "better" Level 7 Monsters... like, say, the Blue Eyes White Dragon?

Enter Dark Magician Girl, a level 5-6 Monster that only needs ONE Tribute, and could possibly be up to 2900 ATK, depending on how many Dark Magicians you have in your deck. Having two Dark Magicians in your deck is enough; DMG will go up to 2600 in no time (especially when you use cards like Card Destruction, Painful Choice, and Cheerful Coffin). Her effect makes her much better than another beast with a similar effect, Harpies Pet Dragon. The Pet Dragon is a level 7 monster that can only be powered up by Harpy Ladies on the field. How long do harpies last on the field? Let me tell you: NOT LONG. The fact that DMG gets powered up by monsters in the grave makes her far more playable than any of her Dark Magician counterparts.

So yes, there's me answer. Hope you enjoyed it. :)

Ecch... I'll leave this open at the moment seeing as there's actually some decent discussion potential behind it. But if it turns into a spam thread I'll close it.

MeNaCe, try and improve your post quality a bit- having a post all being one sentence is rather confusing/frustrating to have to read through. Be sure to read the Rules in the Otakuboards Information Center, too.

I suppose my favourite would have to be the Black Paladin, not just because of his looks and effects (as useful as they are), but also because he links the two themes in my casual deck together- Dark and Earth Warriors/Spellcasters.

That said, like any fusion monster he is a bit of a pain to get onto the field. And since you can't use Metamorphosis or Monster Reborn on him (as I gather, I might be wrong), you have to be wary of cards that can get rid of him- one Man-Eater Bug and you're down the pan, for instance. Still, I guess that's something to be sorted out with the other cards inyour Deck, heh.

You've missed the Black Magician of Chaos, the new member from 307...it's basically the Magician of Black Chaos as a regular effect monster.

It brings back a magic card from your graveyard if successfully summoned or special summoned, and all monsters it destroys in battle are removed from the game. It's only drawback are the two tributes required to bring it to the field and that when it leaves the field, it gets removed from the game. It's certainly one of the more powerful incarnations to date.

Paladin would have to be my favourite, though. Despite it's drawbacks (the "can only be special summoned via fusion" Solo mentioned), it's a great card. A lot of fun to drop on someone who isn't expecting it; especially seeing as so long as you have a large enough hand, any magic they try to get rid of it with is useless.

Now that does sound nice. I love The MOBC/BMOC's design; to have him as a regular effect monster would be really great. I'm not sure which version's being released in Magician's Force; I read a slightly-less-than-wholly-accurate card list and it had one MOBC, I can't remember which. It's probably the Ritual. IDamn, I don't want to have to wait any longer to add him to my Deck.

I don't see the removed from play as being too much of a drawback- there are a few ways of getting him back into play (or at least into the Graveyard, anyway). If you've had other monsters removed from play you could use Miracle Dig, for example...

I'd have to say Black Paladin as well. The reason being that not only does it inhert properties similar to the Dark Sage with that Magic Jammer effect but the fact that it also retains the property of Buster Blader giving you that extra needed power boost to ward off even the deadliest of Dragons.

I'd have to say I like three, of the choices. I like the Dark Magician Girl simply because of her low level and killer effect, (she can dethrone little miss Injection Lily) and also because she's a god send for Dark Magician Deck users. Also another god send for DM deck users is Skilled Dark Magician, I mean what more can you want than a 1900 hitter and when he gets 3 Magic/Spell counters on him you can tribute him for a Dark Magician from your Deck or hand. I mean that has got to be one heck of a good card to have anytime in my book, and just simply if you're waiting for Magic cards to pop up you can start picking off your opponents defenses.

Chaos Black Magician from 307 bar none. Can work with its support, Dimension Magic, D-Wave, Baptism of Light and Dark and so on. It is a powerful recursion monster for magic, and since it is res to one, its not as effective, but still way better than the others.

Paladin is slow, BM is weak for its level, and BMG is pathetic.

So all in all, CBM.

Personally I perfer the Magician of Black Chaos out of all the Black/Dark Magician family. The only bad things about him is that he's a ritual monster and I don't really like rituals and his 2800atk is 200 lower than what I'd like. I mean Chaos/Black Luster Soldier has 3000 and they're both rituals. If you offer 2 level 4 monsters thats 3 cards that are sent to the grave. I really don't like 3 cards for 2800 atk , but even at that he can still take down the original Dark Magician and most tribute monsters. So he has his ups and downs but out of them all he's my fav and he has the coolest picture of them all.

P.S. Would the Black Magician Knight be considered part of the Black/Dark Magician family.

Id think the Black Paladin would b d best. Look at it this way, Magicians Force is BASed on summoning it in a way. Itd be a no tribute to make it. The Black and White Magician kiks but at summoning it and then al you need is a polymerization/fusion gate

Oh yea, does Magion of Chaos 2 give BMG a power up 2? i dun know
