Manic Webb
I was in Borders (I'm beginning to think I spend too much time there) when I happened upon Maroon 5's CD and a set of headphones connected to it. I decided to take a listen. I was a really surprised by their sound. The entire album is saturated in the Blues. The songs combine an alternative Rock style with an edgier style of Blues. Some of the instruments in some songs sound a little synthesized, and a couple of songs suffer melodically for it. Other than that, their musical style is something new to me, and I think it's pretty good. Their sound isn't flawless, and the constant use of a Casio keyboard didn't work in a couple of songs. But it's a nice change from what I usually listen to.
Fall
They've recently become really big here. Their new single "Harder To Breathe" is something in the top five chart hits at the moment. That single was the first I had ever heard of them, and ever since I did, I was searching all over the place for the name of it, as I didn't know it. Though now, as I've heard a bit of their other music, I don't think I can like them as much as I thought of them. "Harder To Breathe" has a rock sound to it, though more calm, if you know what I mean, and I really tend to follow that.

Maully
I dig Maroon 5 a lot, A LOT. I am glad that they are finally getting some recognition, seeing as they've been around for a while. Don't take "Harder to Breathe" as their sound though, it doesn't define them entirely.
Rockstar Haruko
So Maroon 5 has been out for a while? I thought they were some new band. I really like their song "Harder to Breath", but because of everyone elses comments, I want to hear this Blues side of them.
Vash's girl
I like their new single all right. It gets old fast. I thought they were Daniel Bedingfield at first. My sister went and bought their CD........ someone kill me now.... She plays it over and over again. I really hate their sound. I think they sound to synthesized. Haze
their synthisizzed sound is kind of part of their package. . . that and the blues side to 'em. "harder to breathe" is the only song on their cd that sounds like that, or it is in my opinion. most of the rest of them have that "*sigh* its sunday afternoon. lets be lazy outside in the bright springtime sun and just relax." kind of feel to it. i really like them. . . i suppose its that attitude that is so great. if anybody has the cd. . . my favorite songs are "sunday morning" "secret" "through with you" and "tangled". not only do they address relationship problems. . . but they add in Adam Levine's gorgeous voice filled with such emotion that it makes me shiver just thinking of it. i've never heard a voice quite like his. and i get to see them in concert next week!!! yay. im so happy. Eclectic
I've heard 'Harder to Breathe' constantly on the radio. Though I liked it when I first heard it, it's getting annoying. It could simply be that I hear it to much, but they do have an interesting sound, especially with the vocals. Just my opinion.
Dmitri_Dragoon
I was thrown a copy of the c.d. while in band one day. I was told to listen to it. So I did. I didn't even know what I was listening to. I later asked my band director about it and he told me what it was. I felt dumb then. But, it's a good sounding band. Though it's not something I could listen to a lot.
Vash's girl
I can't stand the singer's voice. It's so high pitched, I think it was enhanced electronically- kinda like Stacie Orrico. Hey, that's a good comparison. Maroon 5 is the male Satcie Orrico but in rock form.
