I think I may have a bit of everything from all around. Egyptian (yeah I'm related to someone else on the boards *cough lea2385 cough*, and I think there's a bit of welsh thrown in with us. I may as not say the rest, just read my sis's post. Not that any of us could actually trace our lineage so certaintly anyway, unless we are part of a royal family that traces that kind of stuff.

I'm half Korean (on my mother's side) and half Polish (on my father's side). I only look somewhat Asian--in fact, when I was younger, people used to think that I had been adopted, or that my mom was my nanny. It made for some rather awkward situations.

Interestingly, I never thought of myself as being biracial until a teacher brought the subject up, around sixth grade or so. We were discussing ethnicity, and it turned out that I was one of two biracial people in the grade. Made me a little self-conscious, that it did.

So you a basicly pure Cajun ^_^;;;

I not all, most of my ethnic roots can be traced back to Europe. Also, I may have some African American and Native American ethnic roots too, maybe Asian too, but not alot of those three, just mostly Europe countries.

I'm a human mutt. On my dad's side, I am half Greek altogether. On my mom's side. I am Cherokee Indian, Irish, Scottish, English, and German. But I take from my Dad mostly as skin tone and face. But I have auburn hair from my Mom and Dad.

Ah yes, ethnicity.

I tend to think that I'm a mix of whatever other people thing I am, which is a broad range of things. I appear to be what is considered 'dark' caucasian, with dark hair and eyes, and olive skin, but I honestly don't know what my background is.

People think that I'm Hispanic a lot, I've also been called Middle Eastern , but I know that I'm not either of those.

I'm pretty sure that my family stems back to England and France...but that was years ago. I'm many generations American, and it always surprises people when I tell them that. Everyone seems so eager to classify everyone else into some ethnic category, as if it will really give them more insight into the person themselves.

I know I am Czeck(yay!, do not ask) and German and Swedish. Probably a little Irish and some other Scandinavianish in there somewheres too.
I am white and blonde and my family has been in this country sence ....pretty much the beginning, or pre-civil warish. Meh, sometime in there.... (My grandpa is always talking about something in georgia before the civil war or sommat) so, whatever.

I'm African-American, Creole, and Cherokee. And for anyone else struggling with the difference between Creole and Cajun, let's turn to the dictionary...

Creole: A person descended from or culturally related to the original French settlers of the southern United States, especially Louisiana. A person descended from or culturally related to the Spanish and Portuguese settlers of the Gulf States. A person of mixed Black and European ancestry who speaks a creolized language, especially one based on French or Spanish.

Cajun: A member of a group of people in southern Louisiana descended from French colonists exiled from Acadia in the 18th century. A member of a group living in southern Alabama and southeast Mississippi, of mixed white, Black, and Native American ancestry.

Differences: Cajun generally refers to Acadian ancestry (which is based in French Canadian ancestry, which is indirectly French) and can include Native-Americans. Creole refers to French ancestry directly, and can include Spanish ancestry as well.

And now you know. :)

I don't even think about this really. I have no traditions or interests that stem from any foreign country thanks to my heritage.

I'm mostly German, followed by Italian. I wear this one German army coat I have all the time, but that's about as far as my ethic pride goes.

Wow... I feel rather alone now. I'm a pure-blooded Japanese, damn proud of it, but surrounded by a board full of people of diverse cultural backgrounds, feeling somewhat intimidated and different o_O;; I guess Asian countries have less international marriages compared to Europe and America.

Well, I was born in Florida, but I never really say I'm American. If I'm asked, where ya from? I usually answer Nicaragua where most of my family is from. My grandfather on my mother's side and my grandmother from my father's side were from Spain, though. A lot of ppl tell me I look Hawaiian and other's say I look Native American which makes sense seing as I am...just not United State's Native American...
