NightmareMage
Can I use a PSX Game Shark on a PS2 with a PSX game?
Semjaza
It would depend on the type of Game Shark it was. If you have the one that hooks into the back of the PSX, you're totally out of luck. If you have that memory card version, it may work... However, I can't confirm this as I don't know anyone with a Game Shark lol. Sorry.
NightmareMage
I didn't know there was one that goes in the back of a PSX...! How 'bout that... Well I have the one that is the memory card version so I don't want to try and blow up my PS2 or something like that... I'll probly ask a game expert or e-mail Playstation(R) or something... Thank you for taking the time to reply even without a sure answer... (You learn something new everyday...)
Zephyr
If you are using the basic Gameshark v1, then no, you cannot use it on a PS2. You will have to buy the v2, and hope the disc with PSX codes hs the game you want (since you cannot add codes to it). Otherwise, just hang onto you PSX/One like I did and switch between the two. This problem drove me mad when I got the PS2 and Gameshark v2.
NightmareMage
*shrugs shoulders* Well thing is I don't have a PSX/one I bought the gameshark at a yard sale for like 50 cents, and I know how much those things are even used; it was in good condition and it worked(he let me try it out before I paid). *SIGH* Oh well, thanks anyway... :smirk:

NightmareMage
Well yes, I'll admit it: they are for cheaters, however, I am using it to "liven up" a game I've beat before since it got boring. :p
