Gaming Mega Man X7

Well, I just rented this game today(since we didnt have any for sale yet), came home, played it, and to say that I was amazed is an understatement. This game is friggen HOT! I'm talkin 'bout, blazin like hell hot. The graphics were the best that I've seen in any Mega Man game(hell, even better than Mega Man Network Transmission), and the gameplay is better then any I've played(well, other than Mega Man 2, but Mega Man 2 is still my favorite MM game).

And playing this game, actually makes you feel like you're in the game, because you're not just going straight for once. It feels like you're on an actual battlefield where you dont just use the directional pad forward and backward, but up and down aswell. And the graphics...its just unbelievable. Quite possibly the best graphics in any Mega Man to date.

Plus, the sound is awesome to. Maybe the best music I've heard for it. The intro is bangin. It has like scenes from the actual anime of Rockman(if there was a full anime of Rockman), with some awesome music in the background. Plus, if you get tired of hearin the voices in English(believe me, you will. Unfortunatly there is a character on there in the English version that sounds like a broke Dennis The Menace. -_-), then you can switch the language to Japanese(which sounds ALOT better. Hey, its subtitled, so you'll understand what they're sayin). And the story is just awesome aswell.

The only problem that I see so far with this game is that you cant use X right off hand. But you have this new character known as Axl who basically has most of his moves. That Mega Buster and all that other good stuff. And for once, I actually NEED Zero for most of the stuff in it. And his sword slashing in this one is just unbelievable.

And I havent actually made it to any of the villians yet, but thats because the levels are so hard. But then again, I may just need to get used to this. I'm so used to playin Mega Man where you can only go in 1 or 2 directions, but now you can go in 4 directions. So yeah, it'll take me a while to get used to. But its still friggen awesome.

So I'm tellin ya, if you want a good adventure game to play, get Mega Man X7. It is WELL worth it. I'll put it like this. If you liked Mega Man X(which was my favorite of the X series), then picture that with new characters, new villians, and KICK *** graphics. I'm tellin ya. Go khop that game. You wont regret it, I guarantee ya. Capcom has definetly out done themselves on this one.

I for one have been exited about this for a long time, but after reading some of the stuff I have. Bleh, I am definately going to rent it before I buy it. Even though I defended the graphics in their early stages, I only did so because I was blinded with love for Capcom. And...I usually am. But after seeing it in motion, and just actually looking at it non-biased, I can't say I'm impressed.

From what you've said I have to check it out, no matter what I'll rent it. I'll check back on this topic when I do, I sincerely hope you are right and everyone else is wrong. [/color]

I just got X7 last night. I didn't have much time to play it. Its graphics are great. I'm a bit disappointed that it's not completly 3D. I think the voices were pretty badly done, but overall I like it so far.

Put the language on Japanese. I'm sure that you'll find those ALOT better then the english ones.

My thoughts on the game are mixed.

I like the game, but [spoiler]Zero's sudden and unheralded appearance right at the start ticks me off. Are they ignoring the events of X6 or what? If Zero does not re-enter a capsule at the end of this game FOR SURE, the plot-line of the series will be SO messed up...[/spoiler]

As cool as the series and characters are, Capcom seems to enjoy tearing up its plot like swiss cheese...

My bro' bought the game, and he's obsessed with it. I, however, am not that pleased with it. It's gameplay was average at best, at least in my opinion. The animations and movements were way too slow, and I agree with EGM on the graphics. They are atrocious. While I commend the creators for trying to break the mold, 3D graphics and movement just don't work with this game. The bosses are horrible (Soldier Stonekong? Please. Don't get me [u]started[/u] on the freakin' onion.) Don't get me wrong; I love the lil' blue guy. Well, the 2D one at least. After X4, I thought the series got very repetetive, very quickly. Best of the series? I'd say the [u]worst[/u].

I too think this is the worst. I love the Megaman X series. I love the first 4. 5 and 6 less because capcom began to get lazy and the bosses/enemies have become just plain cheap. Aside from that it's not as fluent as the first 4 as in you have to constantly have to return to a stage to get everything. I was looking forward to X7, the stuff I heard sounded good and such. Unforunately the negatives outweigh the goods. No longer its a fast paced game I loved. Dashing is equal to the speed of running in the previous X-titles. Zero's moves have been totally watered down. The controls are all screwed up too. Stage bosses all suck and are totally cheap. Introduction of a new character with *gasp* another 'i don't remember' and 'lets not tell the players' past. It just plain sucks. This is the only X game i'm gonna wait for a price drop before I get it. Only reason why I'm still getting even after saying it sucks is because I'm a fan of the series. If you asked me though, they should've done something like viewtiful joe and fill in these freaking story gaps already.
