Danny sat peacefully in the tree, letting a bird peck at his tail. It didn't hurt....not that much...
He kept going over what just happened...why didn't he just sit there and let them all do it? He wasn't even needed! He looked down, and saw a boy....small wth hair like his, and blue eyes. Danny knew who it was straight away...Danny fliped over onto the sidewalk, not careing if anyone would yell at him.

"Danny, hello." he boy said smiling. He was a mutant too. Max, Danny's younger brother.
"MAX!" Danny laughed. His brother was only a little younger then Danny. Max had an amazing power, the power to change the temperature. But he never used his power.

"So, are you ever going to come to this school?" Danny asked.
"No. I can be normal, like every one else. I have got a job you know. Kids can get jobs too." Max said.
"Cool, what job?"
"Aritst."
"You're joking?" Danny laughed.
"Nope-oh, I got to go!" Max looked at his watch.
"Nice talking to you again. I promise!" Max said. He jumped up and walked off.
"By mate..." Mumbled Danny. He had one chance now to run for it...before he loses Max...Should he run, or stay? Freedom's what a Pantehr wants, and that's what Danny wants. He looked back at the huge building...He then looked at his younger brother he hadn't seen in years...

Kilani looked to the mutants who glared at him. She put her hand up in case of any further fights. She looked to Kitty and nodded. She grabbed the blade and handed it to her. Jean looked to her.

["Are you sure this is safe? I mean...he could still be trouble."]
"I'm sure of it. He's here for fun. Are you not....Kotoba Gen?" Kilani said as she held Gen's blade.
"So you know my name. For a psychic, you're incredibly fast. Or perhaps we've met before." Gen said as he stared at his blade.
"Let us just put it that...I've seen what you can do as well as that...["I am the mutant that found you long before, Kotoba."] Kilani said as she walked closer to him.

The others looked to her, but did not do anything. Kilani held his blade in one hand and swirled it around as if it were her own. It was a medium of a katana and a kodachi. The hilt was beautifully patterned with that of turtle shells. It was a beautiful sword.

"Your blade. A unique one I've seen. Not many like this I have seen. Light, easy to handle, yet lethal. For a person of your powers, why need a blade?" Kilani said as she was about to hand the blade to him.
"So that I may have the..." Gen reached out for his blade. "upper hand at time."

Reaching out for his blade, Kilani stopped him without even an expression or even a movement. She looked at the beautiful sword as Gen held his head in pain. She then swirled it around a couple of times before pointing it towards his throat.

Scott was about to move towards Kilani, but then Jean stopped her. She knew what Kilani was doing. It was interrogation.

"A weapon like this does not need a reckless owner. It needs someone of maturity, knowing, and sense." Kilani explained as she put the blade down. "This institute can help you do that. ["As well as help you overcome your feelings towards other mutants."] "We can help you further your powers. Help you harness them further. Whatever it could do to help, we can try. Think about it Gen. If you refuse, we'll let you go. If you accept, we'll try something out. If you ever do accept, you can leave at any time, but let us know before you do. We'll leave you then." Kilani said as she left the room.

The others stared at her. The other instructors looked to her. She walked to the Professor's Office, which was now Scott's and Jean's. The other instructors followed.

"It was in our best interest, Scott." Kilani said before he could say anything.
"What are you talking about, Kilani? He just tried to kill one of our students." Scott retaliated.
"Yes, but if we have him here, we could help him harness his powers as well as use it to his defense. We can help him do many things. The only reason he is fighting is because he does not know what it feels like to be around many other mutants. That is the reason why he fights. And it is my duty as an X-Men to allow any mutant to come here." Kilani replied back.
"She's right, Scott. The Professor would have done the same. He would've allowed Gen to attend at the Institute. He would've helped him." Jean said as she backed up Kilani.
Kitty looked to Kurt, Jean, Kilani, then Scott. "You know, they're both right. After the old instructors left, look what happened now. We've gotten a lot of kids to come here. We've gotten free spirited kids. We've got kids who aren't afraid to show their powers. This is what our Institute helped. Look at us now. We were so afraid to use our powers at first, but now...it's in our daily lives."
Scott looked to the women. "I guess you're right. You know, everytime I try to argue with Kilani, she always wins. Let's give him a chance. And if he screws up, give him another chance. That's what this Institute is all about. Helping those who need help and accepting that no mutant is an enemy." Scott said at last.
Jean smiled and looked to Kilani. "Good job. I'm glad you're here. I thought that the Professor and I were the only telepaths in the institute. I guess we aren't. Let's go downstairs and calm the kids down."

Kilani smiled and followed the others. As they went out, Scott remembered Pan Carter. He ran to his guest. Kurt and Kitty disappeared to the kids in the danger. Jean and Kilani walked downstairs to the other students.

Oh yeah just ignore my post because I'm Irish, well I'll start my own X-Men RPG with Blackjack and Hookers, nah just kidding.

Van had seen all the fighting take place between Gen and the X-Men and had decided to maybe give them a bit more time before joining them. He took a walk around Bayville and decided to check out the school a little so at least he'd know what he'd be doing during the day. He walked over to the building and sat down in the grass looking on at a group of people across the street, their lives were so much less than Van's and he was quite jealous.

Van: Quietly Why does all the bad stuff happen to me ?

Scott: Hey you there.

Van saw one of the guys from the fight approach him, he was the one who fired lasers from his eyes, and not a guy Van wanted to upset. Turning to him Van, took off his sunglasses and looked up to answer, he seemed nice enough but appearances could be deceiving.

Van: Hey, you're one of the guys from the school right ?

Scott: Yeah name's Scott Summers and you must be Van Ambrose.

Van: Yup, name's Van but you could call me Quantum.

Scott: Quantum, why are you called that ?

Van: Grinning Well let's just say that time has a different meaning to you than it does to me.

Scott: Alright then, listen I saw you coming to the mansion and I hope we didn't scare you off, if you'd be willing I'd like to take you to have a look at our home.

Van: Well, no you didn't scare me off, but since you're the human laser cannon I'll give it a try.

Van walked over with Scott to the School, it was huge, and it reminded Van of some of the old mansions he'd seen back in Ireland as a child. As he walked through the doorway he once again slipped off his sunglasses there were a few people in the hallway and Van looked on with a look of relief these guys seemed quite friendly too. He saw blue furry guys and two girls one evidently older than the other.

Scott: Gene, Kitty, Kurt, this is Van and he's going to be a new student here.

Gene: Hello Van, you're new here and we'll get you settled in a room as soon as we can, we're just a little busy after this afternoon.

Kitty: Hi Van and welcome to the Institute, I'm Kitty, pleased to meet you.

Kurt: Eheh, me too, Van I am very pleased to make you're acquaintance.

Van: Nice meeting you guys, name's Van Ambrose and I'm please to be here, I suppose I'd better give you a little demonstration of my powers so you'll know what to expect from me.

Taking out a ball from his pocket Van threw it up in the air, as it began to drop it suddenly began to slow until it looked like slow motion moving only very slowly towards the ground. Van smiled and relaxed control allowing the ball to drop to the floor with a bounce, he looked on in amusement at the surprised looks on everyone's faces and left out a short chuckle.

Van: Guys I don't mean to be rude but I've been travelling all night and I'd like to get some rest and wash up, could I see my room if you don't mind ?

Gene: Sure Van, I'll bring you too you're room as I'm on my way to the med-room which is in the same direction.

Van and Gene walked on leaving the other's behind, Van was wondering what life would be like here, and it was at that second he began to think off home and his uncle Ben and of all the times they had shared together. But also of his parent's deaths, he shuddered and Gene looked on as though she knew what he was feeling inside.

Gene: You've had a hard life Van but you're uncle seems to have raised you well and we'll do the same for you.

Van: I suppose you're a psychic and you just read my mind ?, well that doesn't really matter if you can feel some good from my memories with my uncle then feel free to enjoy them.

Reaching the room Van walked inside and noticed that there were two beds, he knew he had a roommate but the question was who ?

Gene: You're roommates name is Craig Sanders and he's an electric kind of guy, he's down in the med-room but should be back soon, I'm heading down there and I'll leave you here to unpack. Bye.

Van finally realised the extent of the situation he was in, he opened the spare locker and put his stuff in, then went to take a shower and have a rest for a while before he met the other mutants of the School.

OOC: I get the feeling I'm being left ouot a bibt...but I was gonna make an X-men RPG..hehe....Mr.Joko beat me too it!

IC: Danny sat back in the tree. Why didn't he run for it? His chance to be free with his brother again, adn he blew it! There's no telling where Max could have gone! Danny Growled at himself, and whacked himself out of the tree with his own tail. He lay on the ground and jumped up.
"Stupid place! Stupid guys! Stupid everything!" Danny said walking back.

He lay on his bed looking out the window. All he wants is freedom, and this place doesn't let you have that. He felt sad here, he really thought no one cared but Adam...and that was it...Danny looked as it began to get darker....darker...
"This...is the most boring life ever!" he grubled.
"I thought I panther life would be crap....looks lke this is too." He sighed and sat down on the floor, and whipped his tail around.

Pan was very fast; very agile. Back when his father used to train him, even before his powers kicked in, he could complete the obstacle course in their back yard in three minutes flat. Once Pan's mutation activated; once his strength, speed, and reflexes increased, he completed the course in only one minute and eleven seconds. Pan was trained to handle tough physical situations even before he was sure he'd be a mutant. It's a good thing, too.

The Danger Room was nothing like his backyard. There were no tires to run through or hurdles to leap over. There were poles to swing from, however, and that's where Pan found his advantage. Finding things to hang and swing from, Pan evaded everything the room threw at him. Something about the Danger Room exercise excited him, though. Maybe it was his animal instincts. Maybe it was the idea that, no matter what was launched at him, nothing in there was going to kill him.

Then he realized that pain is pain, and he was going to have to get out of there eventually. That's when he noticed the window to the control room. The glass was no doubt made of a strong polycarbonate, and wasn't breaking easily. That's when Pan came up with a brilliant idea; an idea so flawless, that there was no doubt it would work. Two small words...

"HELP ME!"

OOC: Sorry for the delayed response.

"How annoying..." murmured Gen. Obvious disgust filled every syllable, however suppressed it may have been. He hated the damn psychics for this very reason. They probe your mind, see through your life, flicking through your personal thoughts which made them believe they understood you, like you were some cheap movie flick that really had no deep meaning behind it. Well damn it all. He hoped that his mind was well armed enough against all degrees of mental assault but he seemed to be wrong. That lady, at the very least, seemed to know pretty much everything about him.

For once, he wished his other self will emerge. He was extremely annoyed with this whole 'we are here to help you' crap, and he wished nothing more than to be rid of them all. Only if he could somehow awaken his other side... Luckily for him, it seemed that even that psychic lady failed to realize his other side... well... lets see... his blade was over by the table, just out of his reach even if he could get his restraints off...

"Well well well..." muttered a small voice within his head. "Now you need me do you...?"

"True I do. Though I hate to admit you having advantage over me, I think... that I'd rather have you in comparison to them..."

"As you say... Gennie boy... just step back... and watch..."

Everything blacked out for a moment, then Gen felt himself being pushed back to the inner most recess of the mind, feeling his other, or perhaps his true side taking over. Chuckling lightly, Gen watched silently as the restraints ripped off effortlessly, and the distant security sirens blaring, blaring....

Adam jumped up from the med-room floor as Gen amazingly ripped his restrains off. He had decided to stay behind with Craig and make sure this Gen guy didn't do anything like what he was doing now. Adam leaped over a feet to the left and punched the alarm so the others would know of his escape.

Gen had reched the table quickly and grabbed his katana and faced Adam with that toothy grin he had shown before. "You'll regret doing that." He chuckled as he started walking closer to where Adam stood.

"We'll just have to see about that." Adam spoke calmly, but quickly leaped into the air with a large flap of his wings. He peared down at Gen, who was looking strait up at Adam. "I have to be careful... I can't fall for anymore mind tricks..." He thought to himself.

Gen remained looking up at him awaiting for Adam to make the first move. Adam understood the message and flew over to the wall and used his feet to jump off the side and head towards Gen with his claws draw.

Humming lightly in his head, Gen saw with clarity the approaching mutant, claws ready to strike, closer, closer. Grinning at what he saw a futile, pathetic attempt, Gen simply stuck his blade out horizontally, and side-stepped nimbly. A dull, cutting sound, followed shortly by a splatter of blood, a groan of pain, a thud and a crash, then silence. Not even bothering to look at the figure, Gen made his way to the exit.

"Only fools rely solely on their mutations..." he spat as he stepped out.

Looking left and right, Gen made ready for any oncoming attacks. Feeling none yet, Gen ran straight down the corridor, confidently, but cautiously. His eyes darted here and there, his ears listening to any miniscule sound he could above the sirens. Blades drawn ready, the fury darted through the corridors, insanity in full possession.

OOC: This is fun ^^

IC: Adam griped his right arm. It was bleeding quite badly, but it could have been worse. He saw the attack coming when he was a few feet away, he used to much power off the wall and couldn't stear his wings as well as usual. He was able to dodge part of it, but it sliced his arm good. He staggered onto his feet watching warm trickles of the blood splating on the floor. Im such an idiot! I was concentrating on his mind power way too much and Trusting my own too much! Im such an idiot! Adam quickly ran over to where Gen's bed was and ripped off a piece of the sheet and wrapped it around his bloody arm and ran out of the med-room listening for where Gen was.

Adam raced down the hall listening to Gen, hearing most of his movements. He was alone. "They havn't found him yet?" Adam asked out loud. Usually the X-men would have found him quickly. Ofcourse, they all might have been heading for the med-room. Adam lifted up into the air and flew threw the hall with most of his speed, still listening to his movements. He was close.

He spotted him at the end of a hallway where he could turn left, right, or go straight ahead. Adam sped up and was getting close now. Gen made him move, going straight ahead of himself. That would eventullay lead him to the kitchen if he didn't take any turns.

He stopped once more where he could go right or straight and thats when Adam could catch him. He put on one more burst of speed and started to bring his leg back to kick the enemy when Gen turned around and saw him coming. In a second Adam's leg clashed with Gen's right arm that he had blocked with, his katana was in his left hand. Adam jumped from the clash and landed below Gen where he spun out his other leg and tripped him. Adam jumped out swiftyly and got into a fighting stance. No more games...

Gen whistled slightly. He should have stabbed that idiot in the heart, sliced off his neck, made sure he was dead. He didn't have time for this, but he was vaguely amused. So this fool wanted to fight...

"Ah... what now... fight me...?" he mocked in a sing-song voice. "Believe me simpleton... you know nothing of fighting..."

Adam suddenly stepped back, as Gen seemingly slipped into two, then four. Great. That trick again. So which one was real.... Adam really, really hoped the other X-men will be here. Soon. He wasn't so sure he could handle four let alone one...

"I said those who rely entirely on their mutation are fools... but if it augments their fighting... now thats different..."

"I agree that sometimes I think of my powers too much, but when I really want to throw it down... I can..." Adam spoke to the 4 duplicates of Gen. This would be a bit difficult, he didn't have any kind of power that would let him attack them all at one time, but he had to do something until the other came. "I had the last first move..." Adam said getting into a fighting stance. "So this time, you can have the honors."

"Pleasure." all 4 Gen's replied at the same time with a smirk on their face. Suddnely, the one to the farthest right leaped at Adam with his katana pointing for his throat. Adam braced himself. He move slightly to the right just as the clone was about to hit him and the katana went over his sholder. He quickly grabed the clone from behind and letting himself fall to the floor (face up) with Gen scrambling in his arms he hit the floor and placing his feet under Gen kicked up and over as flew and hit the wall and slowly disapperaed.

The other 3 Gen's just smiled at what had happened and all spoke in unisen. "I guess you passed the first test... But the rest won't go so easy on you..."

Adam prepared himself again and suddenly caught foot steps... they were running this way... the others would be here in just a couple of seconds.

Kilani looked up and somehow knew that it was Gen. She looked to the other Mutants and nodded. They followed pursuit. She pointed to one of them and told them to go get Scott, Jean, Kurt, and Kitty. Something terrible might happen. She ran upstairs and grabbed her suit. It was a glossy black with a silver belt. She also grabbed her uniform shoes and slipped those on as well.

As she walked to the door, she grabbed her uniform gloves and slipped them on. She had small slits at the nails so that she could retract her nails. She let them grow and she watched them shine in the light. She then retracted them and walked out. As she walked to where she could feel Gen. She found them as well as Adam. He was bleeding.

Gen looked to her. He then felt the others on their way. He got into an attack ready position and Kilani got into attack ready as well. She put her hand in the air as if to hold a sword. Suddenly, something started to glow in her hand. When the glowing stopped, a silver bladed katana. The hilt was black and it was formed in the shape of a dragon's mouth. The eyes had two obsidian stones in it. Kilani started to swing it around. Gen just stared. Soon, Jean, Scott, Kurt, Kitty, and some students were behind Kilani.

"Adam! Are you ok?" Scott asked the bleeding student.
"Yeah. Something's wrong though. He's more hostile and strange." Adam replied.
"What?!" All was said.
"I don't know how to explain it. Can't you see that there's four of him?" Adam said as he pointed to the multiple Gens.
"Yes, we see. The power to duplicate or should we say make it seem like he's duplicated? Hmm. Adam, stand down." Jean said as she walked to Kilani's side.

Grimacing with displeasure at the entrance of the other X-men, Gen (x 4) looked towards the 5 intruders with a degree of anger mixed with excitement. Well then. Time to crank it up a notch... Smirking slightly, he again divided himself into two, resulting in eight. Eight against six, with one of them wounded. Not too bad of a situation. Grinning indifferently at what he assumed was dismay on some of their faces, Seven Gens faced the intrusion, while the last kept his back to them, facing the wounded.

One took the Chuudan (middle) form against the wounded.
Two took the Jyodan (upper) form against the intruders.
One took the Tsuki (stab) form against the intruders.
Three took the Gedan (lower) form against the intruders.
The last took the Nagashi (flow) form against the intruders, one step ahead of the rest.

"Happoujiryu... (Eight-way Child Style)" muttered the eight duplicates. "Its been a while since I've used this..."

Rebellion snuck back into the abandoned warehouse to sleep. His "room" wasn't much, just a small matress and a blanket, surrouned and covered by piles of clothes, food and various other things he had managed to steal. Occasionally the odd rat would scurry through the room but that did bother Rebellion, he had other things on his mind.

Why can't I remember my past. I don't know who my family is, where I grew up, or which scool I went to. I have been forced to walk alone in this life.

"Argggggggggggggggh!" he screams as he pieced his skin with a knife. He drew the knife up his arm carving various symbols into his flesh. He had no real idea what he was doing but he had a feeling that the symbols were letters of an ancient language he had studied prior to the amnesia. The symbols turned in to words which turned into a sentence that spanned the entire distance of his forearm. He then covered the bleeding wounds with a silver ink.

The Shadow of Rebellion is Born.

Suddenly the warehouse doors opened letting in the piercing sunlight. Rebellion was more accustomed to seeing in the darkness so it took him a while to adjust to the sunlight. He saw the silhoutte of person in the doorway.

"Who's there? Go away! This is my home you are entering, if you take one step closer I will stab this knife into your chest"

OOC: I have no idea who this character at the door is going to be so any of you can be that person or I will make it an NPC.

Pan walked out of the Danger Room in a crouched, ape-like manner. He only walked like this if he were really tired. Luckily, his healing factor was kicking in. Who would've known that the Danger Room shut down certain programs just by yelling help? Pan was hoping for someone to come in and rescue him, but the computer defaults worked out nicely. Something bothered him, though.

"Where the hell is everybody?" It was bad enough that he was lost in a huge mansion, but there was nobody remotely close to his part of the mansion. He began searching door-by-door for someone who could help him with a ride home. Or at least someone could point him toward the kitchen. One of these doors turned out to be a closet; a large closet. It was filled with extra X-Men uniforms, all in different sizes and slightly varying styles. Pan's clothes were a little worn-down from that accidental training session. He'd just borrow one of the more generic looking uniforms until he could get home. He found one in his size, and ducked into one of the empty rooms he'd seen earlier. I might as well just join these guys he thought. God knows I've been in their training room and I'm wearing their clothes.
