just2kawaii
Ok...I use to watch toonami on CN all the time...But now it totally sucks! It has nothing but little kid tv shows on it...Does anyonw know what happened? If anyone can tell me if anything will change in the future, hopefully sometime in the near future, I'd appericate it! Ani_Freak
Yes you're right. I used to see CN when the shows were a little more mature. Inuyasha is ok, but too much kids stuff. I used to see DBZ, Big O, Cowboy Bebop and such. I guess those types of shows are like "the thing" nowadays. I don't watch it anymore. I prefer buying or renting the ones I like to see. You have to spend money, but, I see what I want anyway.
Fyxe
To simply put it, they are taking a break from re-runs. So they will be having all those show on till they have new DBZ eps, more Yu Yu Hakusho eps, and so on. I don't bother with it at the moment, because I really don't like those shows... but I am just waiting for Yu Yu Hakusho. So they are just getting some different things on to "entertain" the watchers while they dub the new eps. Even though they have Yu Yu Hakusho done... or so what I have heard. But don't worry, it shouldn't be like this for to long.... go watch adult swim! It's just the unedited versions of some great anime shows. Better than the edited. *shrugs* Do whatever you want, I'm happy with adult swim at the moment.... but I want my Yu Yu Hakusho. :( Anyway, hope I explained it well enough.
Dagger
I'm waiting for more Yu Yu Hakusho episodes, too. However, many of them have already been dubbed, and the DVDs of the remainder of the Dark Tournament (both edited and unedited) were released a little while ago. I think the problem probably lies in FUNimation's deal with CT..... or something like that. Hopefully, Yu Yu Hakusho will eventually get back on the air. Taking Kenshin off of Toonami was a good idea, since it's a fairly bloody series, but I'm not sure whether the censors lightened up once it started showing on Saturdays. Toonami is, at the moment, far from enthralling--or even mildly interesting. Hey, at least we've got Adult Swim, right? ~Dagger~
just2kawaii
I wish that I could stay up late enough to watch Adult Swim or Anime Unleashed, but alas I must go to school every morning and can't stay up very late...Anywho, if CN insists on running show just to fill in until Yu Yu Hakusho and whatever else, they could at least use a good series like Tenchi (^_^) If anything CN would at least keep its ratings up and it'll everyone something decent to watch while we wait, huh? Am I making any sense? Lataz, Lisha
Dagger
Try taping Adult Swim--not the whole thing, just the shows you're interested in. I, too, have to wake up early, but that doesn't stop me from getting my Inuyasha or FLCL fix. A VCR can work wonders. ^_~ Anyway, it's my guess that Toonami's still doing alright in the ratings..... otherwise, CN probably would switch things around a bit. ~Dagger~
Spiker5
I don't know what CN is doing but I hope they get Inuyasha and YuYu back on quickly. Right now on Toonami all they have is Dragonball, and their saturday line up only has a few good shows. Any way I quest everyone will just have to wait. Guest iori503
I don't think CN has any idea what to do right now. They were getting numero uno ratings with DBZ a year ago and now they don't really have anything to replace it with. On a side note, Aqua Teen Hungerforce and Sealab 2021 are hilarity cartoonified...
Actually they have Inuyasha back on, they have for awhile now. Inuyasha will never be on Toonami though.... that would cut everything out of the show. Because it have to be for ages seven and up. It would totally wreck the show. But you can stay up till 11:00 at night to see it. ^^;; I normally can't, but it doesn't stop me. :D Also, radicaledward1, they don't have midnight run anymore, they havn't for awhile... well a long time. If you meant Adult Swim that's okay, but I was just pointing that out. I will have to wait, like the rest to see what I wish. :bawl: But it is taking far to long. I have heard so many times that they have most or even all of the dubbing done. If they do, they should be airing. *sighs* I just need to see the other episodes, I have been waiting forever, just like all other Yu Yu Hakusho fans that watch Toonami. :P Anyway, I will probably end up just buying all the anime I want. That seems to be the only way anymore.
Hinata
Its just funny on how peopl want CN to change...But hey its a network that is getting its viewers regardless. And yes I do happen to agree with you they need to go ahead and change things a bit and start differnt series.. For one the can start DBGT..or Inuyahsa again during the day...or shoot hey lets get Trigun n there. But the fact is that anime is still a broad genre that alot of people haven't tapped into here in the US and therefor they are trying to break the nation in slowly. Once it gets its broader audience we may have a 24 hrs Anime channel... Now wouldn' that just be the greatest thing ever!!!!! :excited:

On Adult Swim, it's able to air entirely uncut. CN would have to censor it quite a bit in order to move it to Toonami or Saturday. Also, there is a 24-hour anime channel. It's called The Anime Network, and you may be able to get it on digital cable (depending on where you live). Go to theanimenetwork.com for more information. ~Dagger~
Inuyashafan418
It's kind of sad how they just have kiddie shows...I used to always want to watch it because of Saior Moon! (I hate to say it but i don't like DBZ) They cut SM! I almost died! heh heh. I WOULD stay up late and get my Inuyasha fix, but I too have school in the morning. However, My friend has the mangas, so i've been stealing them from her! (Mua-ha-ha-haa) I would tape them but we only have 1 tv with the VCR and mine doesn't have it. (I still wish they would change Toonami though)
Cahoots34
What happened to Toonami? It ventured off on a tangent, as all enterprises must. The fact that it was the particularly abhorrent tangent of mediocre mecha anime and rehashed hero tales is another point altogether.
just2kawaii
I wonder when CN will put better shows back on...Cause the whole little Bait and Switch thing has gotten really old...Wouldn't it benfit everyone if CN would just wait till the entire series was Dubbed then show it thru a few times then give that show a break and show something else...Anyone else agree?
Dagger
Well, it can take a very long time to dub an entire series. And that isn't always the problem; deals fall through, all the good shows get liscenced to The Anime Network, etc. But I do agree. CN has moved around a great many shows (hence, I believe, your reference to the ol' bait and switch)--shows which would probably do just as well, if not better, if they stayed on Toonami. On a similar note, I don't really understand why .hack//SIGN, Rurouni Kenshin, and Yu Yu Hakusho are airing around midnight on Saturdays. Anyway, we can keep hoping that a whole slew of new series will appear sometime within the next few months. Who knows? Maybe it'll happen. ~Dagger~

Perhaps if the shows were edited less and dubbed more literally, I could understand how they might be airing at all unholy hours of the night. This, however, is not the case. The Rurouni Kenshin and Yuu Yuu Hakusho episodes I watched (bleary-eyed and barely aware) were nearly identical to the child-friendly programmes of Toonami. Is there a point for popular shows to be relegated to showing in the midst of most normal humans' sleeping hours, or is Cartoon Network simply sadistic? I'd go on watching Yuu Yuu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin reruns until the end of time if only they were playing during hours I could manage. But that, of course, is due largely to the fact that I am obviously not posessed of a life.
