Mai opened an eye. "I didn't sleep well last night and Kayla woke me up to come and eat. I need sleep, and you make a comfy pillow." She said sounding very tired. Mai sweatdropped as she saw Kayla supressing a tease. "Kayla....dont even think about it!" She said. That only inspired Kayla to sing the only song that she thought matched the mood.

She started to sing. She was interrupted by her own hand forcefully covering her mouth.[/color]
[color=purple]There...that oughtta shut you up...[/color]
[color=seagreen]Mai closed her eye again and fell asleep hearing Kayla picking on Knives and her.

[center][I]Mai was in a strange white room, and she was a little kid again. She looked around. There was nothing but the white room. "Hey Mai! Over here!" She heard a boy call behind her. She turned around, and there she saw Legato and her parents. Mai's eyes rimmed with tears. She knew it was a dream, but she was going to savor every moment of it. She ran to the three, and hugged Legato tightly. "What's wrong Mai? You look like you haven't seen me in a hundred years!" Legato joked.

Mai buried her face in Legato's coat, not wanting to ever leave him. But suddenly, she heard gunshots. Legato's body went cold. She looked up to see her family dead, just like it was outside the dread. "No...no not again...please don't leave me again." She managed to say. She put her head on Legato's stomach and sobbed. "What's wrong Mai? Why are you so sad?" She heard a voice. She looked up again. She was 16 again, and instead of being on top of Legato, she was crying on Knive's lap. "Oh Knives!" She cried, wrapping her arms around him and continuing to sob. All she wanted is someone to care for her again, like Legato so long ago...[/I][/center]

Mai was awoken by Knives."Mai, wake up. You looked like you were having a bad dream. You ok?" He asked. Mai nodded sleepily, her eyes only half open. She looked around to see that everyone had returned. Vash was looking jittery, but other than that everyone looked normal. "What's wrong with Vash?" She asked. Knives looked at her. "Julie and Stoccatta say someone's after him again. Don't worry about, he'll be fine." He said. "Alright...thanks for waking me up Knive," She said, remembering her dream. She felt a sting in her eyes, and knew she might cry. Knives smiled at her and she got off his shoulder."I take that back. You aren't all that comfy after all." She joked, rubbing her neck.

Stocatta walked back to the hotel with Julie and Vash, more than a little shaken.

Stocatta flinched as the dejection and sorrow within him hit her like a ton of bricks. She never thought she'd really feel pity for him, but she did now.

He turned to her with a child-like half smile and said, "I'll try."
Stocatta was taken aback. Twice now, she'd been hit by sudden emotion from him, except, this time, it was her own emotion towards him.
Things were just getting too weird...

Mai, Knives, and Kayla exited the resturaunt and headed to the hotel. There weren't very many people out and the sun was slowly going down. Suddenly, the three felt an evil presence coming towards the city. "Wh--what's that presence? It feels evil...and murderous. Who could it be...it feels so much like..." Mai started to say though her voice trailed off. She didn't have to finish for they both knew who she was talking about.

They took out their guns and stated running towards the entrance of the city where the precence was drawing closer and closer. In the distance, they could see a figure drawing closer and closer. It seemed like it was holding something. The three of them could hear a chilling melody of a saxophone drawing near them. As the figure slowly came into view, they saw to their horror that it was Shuno. He was somehow completly healed and was walking towards them with a brand new sax.

She said. Mai sighed and grabbed her wrist a dragged her back. Eventually she let go and they ran to hotel. They got inside and saw everyone waiting for them. "How sure are you that it was Shuno?" Stocatta asked. "Well, there's only one psycho sax player that wants to kill you me and everyone else in the world." Mai told her. Stocatta suppressed a laugh and they got to making a plan.[/color][/size][/font]

Kayla looked pretty confused. "Telepathic? What are you talking about Vash?" She asked. "Everyone here except you and Sarah can send telepathic messages, Sarah can hear them but can't send any. I'm almost positive you can't do either." Mai said. Kayla looked more confused than ever, but didn't say anything.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Comic Sans MS][size=1][color=#2e8b57]"Anyway, back to the plan. Let's try to surrond him. Then, when he doesn't see any of us, and we all have a clear shot of him we shoot. Most of our bullets won't hit, but he can't dodge or block all of them." Julie said. Everyone nodded in agreement though Mai and Sarah were a bit hesitant. They knew he could dodge them easily.[/color][/size][/font]

"Ok then, you're the legendary outlaw, go scare everyone off with death threats!" Julie said. Vash dropped his jaw. "You're an outlaw too! Even Mai has a price on [i]her[/i] head!" Vash said. Knives looked at Mai as her face became slightly pink. "You're more well known!" Knives said, pushing him out the door.[/color][/size][/font]

Mai hit her over the head. "Stop acting like an idiot!" Kayla rubbed her head and listened to the rest of the plans.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=gray]After hearing many screams from outside, everyone split up and exited through the hotels many different exits, heading for different areas of vantage for shooting Shuno.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=gray]Kayla found a rooftop where she had a great view of Shuno, as he was walking down the road. She pulled out her gun and loaded it full of bullets. She looked around and saw Stocatta on a roof across the street from her. Stocatta was looking around at everyone else. She gave them all a sign to shoot once Shuno came within 10 feet of Vash. She looked over at Kayla and gave her the same order.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=gray]Kayla nodded and began targeting Shuno. She aimed for his back, hoping to hit his spinal cord. Kayla was a merciless shooter when she and her friends were in danger meaning she wasn't going to go easy on anyone.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=gray]She prepared for her shots as Shuno approached 15 feet from Vash. She cocked her gun and began counting down the last few feet.[/color][/size][/font]

Mai popped her head out of the alley she was hiding in. As soon as Shuno took his first step into the 10 foot mark, the bullets flew. He was so unsuspecting, only one bullet missed him.[/color][/size][/font]

She rolled Shuno onto his back with her foot, her gun at his head. He seemed fairly stiff as she touched him. To everyone's suprise, the moment he was on his back, he blew into his saxaphone causing another one of his blasts right at Mai. She tried blocking it by gaurding herself, but she only fell backwards, cut all over and bleeding fast. "MAI!" Kayla, Knives, and Stocatta yelled in unison.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Comic Sans MS][size=1][color=purple]He tricked us. He knew our plan all along. Get him guys.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Comic Sans MS][size=1][color=seagreen]Mai crawled back to the alley, dragging her gun. Knives ran to her. "You ok?" He asked, full of concern. "Just go get him. I'll be fine." She said, smiling weakly. Knives hesitated, but did as she said.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=darkslateblue]Kayla gritted her teeth as the blast rocked everything around her. Then she saw Mai fall over. She saw Knives run to her and heard Mai tell him to go get Shuno and that she'd be fine.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=#483d8b]Kayla jumped the last story from the balcony she had climbed down to while Mai was checking Shuno. She landed expertly and emerged on the street at the same time as Julie, Nick, Knives, Stocatta and everyone else.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=#483d8b]"Shuno, how can you still be alive?" Kayla questioned, cocking her gun and carefully aiming. Shuno didn't answer. He just smirked and put his lips to his Saxophone again.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=#483d8b]Everyone prepared for the coming blow. Shuno blew on his saxophone, causing a few surrounding buildings to collapse. Kayla jumped away from some falling debris while still keeping her aim steady on Shuno, in case he tried anything else.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=#483d8b]Stocatta had almost been impaled by shattered glass, while Knives was covered in dust. He had been a little too close to a building while it was collapsing. Everyone else hadn't been close enough to a building to get injured.[/color][/size][/font]

While doing so, she became an open target and as everyone else continued shooting at Shuno's Saxophone and he himself, he made his way toward her.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=#483d8b]He was unnoticed and took perfect advantage of it. He got to her and grabbed her around the neck with his saxophone. Holding her against him, he began choking her while everyone stopped shooting, seeing how the danger of the situation had now escalated.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=#483d8b]If anyone shot at Shuno or his Saxophone, they would risk killing Kayla in the process and that was exactly the kind of situation Shuno wanted.[/color][/size][/font]

She couldn’t even think about anything but Kayla. “K-K-Kayla,” She said after what seemed to be an eternity. With what little strength left, she got up and leaned against the wall. Slowly, she hobbled over to the battlefield.[/size][/font][/color][/font][/color]

Mai plucked up every ounce of energy and courage she had left and tackled Shuno full force. In both reaction to the hit and surprise, he let go of Kayla. Kayla fell to the ground, rubbing her neck and coughing and breathing deeply. Mai and Shuno fell to the ground next to each other, but Shuno got up first.[/font][/size][/color]

You have a family that you can go home to at anytime, but all that awaits me if I go back is dust and bad memories filled with sorrow and despair.” She told her in barely a whisper.

Kayla quickly wiped the tears from her eyes and faced Shuno. "Shuno, you're threatening m-my life, Mai's life, and everyone else here's life...I won't let you continue. Not for anything. You will die here. I wont let you continue what you are doing. I wont. Now, prepare to die!" she said, enraged.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=darkslateblue]Shuno smirked at her in a malicious way. "You can't kill me, little girl." he egged her on. She realised she was unarmed and quickly looked to her friends for help. Stocatta stepped up and threw Kayla a gun. "Go get him, Kayla. Don't worry, we'll back you up." she reassured Kayla. Kayla caught the gun and nodded.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=darkslateblue]She cocked the gun and aimed it at Shuno. "You can't kill me. You've never actually killed anyone before. You don't have the guts!" Shuno said, fueling Kayla's rage. She noticed Shuno's Saxophone lieing on the ground near her. She shot the mouthpiece and began approaching Shuno. For every step Kayla took, Shuno would take one back while still egging her on.[/color][/size][/font]

[font=Arial][size=1][color=darkslateblue]"C'mon Kayla. Shoot me, right here." he indicated his chest by pointing to it. Kayla's hand began shaking. It was true, she'd never [i]actually[/i] killed anyone before. She'd only fatally injured someone before. "Chicken, buck, buck, buck, buckaw!" he started moving his arms like a chicken.[/color][/size][/font]

Anyone wit half a brain could sense the tension in the air and the apporching malice. They could also see Mai, slightly shaking.
