RPG Trigun: A New Start (WARNING: Smoking, drinking, and violence involved)

Sarah looked out the window of the building Wolfwood had told to her to stay in. It was turning into quite a fierce one. Sarah looked past the battle between Julie, Wolfwood and Shuno, to Mai who was walking to the strange new person.

[I]So that's the infamous Legato. They say he's Knives' right hand man. I could have sworn i saw a wanted poster of him up somewhere. But where?[/I]

Sarah looked around throught the window. A shot was fired, and Sarah saw the bullet go crashing into a nearby building.
"You have no chance of winning!" came Shuno's voice over the commotion.
It was Wolfwood's gun that had gone off, and smoke was still raising from the barrel.

[I]Wait a second...if this Legato dude is Knives' right hand man...that means that Vash will come looking for him! This is perfect. Alright...so all i have to do is help this battle drag out longer. I'm sure he can sense Legato's presence...i mean even i can, but only because i'm so close.[/I]

Sarah looked back out the window, and saw in an instant, Shuno rushing once again towards the two...

She had a clear shot of him. Legato made no move or any atempt to move. "My dear sister. How long has it been since we were face to face? Ah, how I longed to see your beautiful smi--" Legato said, though he was cut off by Mai's gunshot inches away from his neck. "DON'T GIVE ME YOUR CRAP!" She screamed at him. "I am going to kill you Legato! And afterwards I'm going to stay here with these people, and act as though you never scarred my life. Nothing you say or do can change my plan of action!" Again her voice wavered. Legato mearly(sp?) smiled. "I realized you're angry with me, but please forgive me dear sister. I was such a fool! I abandoned you without any thought of how you might feel jsut so I may be with my master! Please forgive me!" He said sarcasticly. Again there was a gunshot, yet this time it was nearer to his neck. "I promise you, the next word you say will be your last!" She yelled, her voice doing more than waverng. At long last, Mai had finally allowed herself to cry. A few tears ran down her cheek as she aimed her gun directly in the middle of Legato's neck.
[color=green] You don't have the courage do you? The courage to shoot your own brother. You don't have what it takes to do what you need to. That is why I abandoned you. Because you are not strong.[/color]
[color=purple] Shut up. You abandoned me because you don't have a shread of remorse about what happens to everyone else as long as you're happy. And I'm just letting live a bit longer because you're my brother...that's why I haven't pulled the triger yet.[/color]

OOC: Since it seems I'm not the only one who's confused, I'll go ahead and post. ;)

Stocatta tossed and turned, but could not sleep. She had known there would be a raging battle, but she hadn't known it would be such a psychological one. She didn't have the strength to block such forceful thoughts so near. The voices raged back and forth in her head.

Stocatta smiled ruefully. She knew that if such a group was started, there would be many more members besides Mai and herself. She rolled her eyes and tried to concentrate on what to do next.
[i][color=blue]I could at least try helping Mai summon the guts to kill him. That would solve a lot of things for me. She's probably the only one who [/i]can[i] kill him! Her own powers likely cancel his from working on her. If she can do it, she had better![/color][/i]
The new resolve gave Stocatta strength. She sat up and began to concentrate fully on Mai.
[i][color=blue]Mai, can you hear me? Please listen to me. You may be the only one who can stop Legato. That gives you a duty to kill him. He has to be stopped. Someone as evil as he is should not have the powers that you two have.[/i][/color]
Stocatta faltered for a moment and wondered if he really was completely evil. Despite the position he had forced her into, he had always been very kind, gentle, even reverential, when dealing with her directly. A tear trickled down her cheek. He was the only family she had ever really known, as terrible as he was.
[i][color=green]Do know that I can hear you, Stocatta darling. Please do not try to interfere any more. You shame me by trying to plot against me like this. Nothing will come of it, and be sure that you'll be punished, love.[/i][/color]
The resolve burned in her anew. His threats were not at all endearing him to her.
[i][color=blue]Mai!! Listen!! Do it now! He's a liar and killer. Whatever else he might be, he's a danger to the races of humans and humanoids. I know it's hard destroying him like this, but you won't be completely alone. You'll still have me, your sister-in-law...[/i][/color]

OOC: Why did you think her last name was "Bluesummers"? ;)

*Dragus gets out of the courner and walks to were Legato is.*
Dragus:"You Legato? Then you will be able to take me to my brothers... you know them Knives and Vash... I know they my brothers but they don't know I'm there brother.
"Legato:"So your a humanoid... I wasn't expecting two to keep alive in the world of destruction."
Dragus:"Destruction!!! I won't allow you to destroy this world!!"
*Dragus draws the Gold Magnum and aims it at Legato.*

Julie looked over at Dragus. She couldn't let him interupt Mai. She had been listening on Mai's and Legato's conversation. She even heard Stocatta.

"[color=hotpink]Don't Dragus[/color]," Julie said as she tried to keep an eye on Shuno, "[color=hotpink]Let them handel it[/color]." Dragus nodded and lowered his gun. Julie had to turn her attention back to Shuno. Shuno didn't seem interested in Julie. He seemed to be going after Nick. Julie could barely keep her eye on Shuno.

"Oh Julien," Shuno said as he grabbed Nick, "look what I have." Julie's eyes widened as she looked at Shuno. Shuno had his sword to Nick's throat. Julie couldn't let Nick get injured. She wouldn't forgive herself. She was in love.

"Let him go please," Julie said as she fell to her knees, "I beg of you. Please let him go." Shuno looked on with pleasure. He was getting pleasure out of Julie's pain. Julie felt her face as tears trickled down it. Nick looked as if he was about to cry as Shuno's sword got closer to his throat.

"Give me a good reason," Shuno said with a smug smirk, "and don't give me the whole thing about you being in love with him." Julie looked up. Her eyes flashed with anger. Shuno backed up slightly as Julie stood up.

"I've learned many tricks in my long life," Julie said as held out her gun, "and one of those tricks is to concentrate my Angle Arm's energy on one target, destroying only that target." Shuno watched in horror as Julie's arm started to change. If he didn't drop Nick and move, he wouldn't be around for much longer.

Sarah moved to the doorway as she watched in both horror and amazment, as Julie's skin seemed to just melt away in to a god-awful shape Sarah had never seen before. A wave of terror swept through her body, as she watched the arm get bigger and bigger. "How...how can someone generate so much energy??? It could distroy the planet! Are all of them capable of this?"
Sarah looked over to where the battle between Mai and Legato was raging on. Mai still had her gun set on Legato's face, but even from Sarah's distance, she could see her shaking. "This is going along better than i thought. If all goes as plan, I'll have more than one bounty to haul in today." Sarah returned her gaze to Julie, who's arm had now become almost complete....

Mai glanced over at Julie. [I]Julie...what are you thinking?[/I] Her stare went back to Legato after a second. [I]Stocatta is right. He's a liar and a killer. He has to be stopped, family or not.[/I]
[color=purple]Goodbye, brother[/color]
She gulped, and sowly pulled the trigger in the same instant Julie fired her Angel Arm. There was a blinding light, in which no one could see what was happening. When the light dimmed, there was a figure on the ground, in a puddle of blood. Legato was the figure. Mai was gone though. The only thing that could be found of her was her gun on the ground whre she stood. She had ran into an alley, sitting next to a building sobbing. [I]Oh God! What have I done! Have I truly killed my brother? [/I]She thought as she sobbed alone.

Hi everyone, sorry I'm so late in the story....

Kayla looked down over the fight from a building. She watched as Julie the Typhoon shot her angel arm in a blinding flash of light. After the light had disappeared, she saw that Legato was dead. She glanced down as she heard sobbing in the alley below her. It was her friend Mai. She had been following Mai because she knew that if she did, she would eventually meet Vash the Stampede. She went to the ladder she had used to climb up to the roof and climbed down. Mai hadn't noticed her yet so she spoke to her.

"Hello, Mai. It's been a long time, hasn't it?" she said smiling at Mai. Mai looked up at her.

"K-Kayla? Is that you? I thought you were going to visit your family!" Mai screamed at her.

"Well, I really don't think visiting [i]them[/i] is very important. But meeting my hero Vash the Stampede sure is!" she said and smiled again. Mai got up and looked her straight in the eyes.

"Kayla, you know that if you don't visit them soon---" she interupted Mai.

"I know, they'll be gone and I won't have anyone left. But that's not true you know. I'd still have you as my friend." she said. Mai new she was beaten and didn't respond.

"Well, I guess you should meet everyone then..." Mai mumbled wiping away a tear.

OOC: Is "Kayla" in the recruitment? I couldn't find any info on her! :( And I have no idea where on the Otaku earth FirePhoenix went! *shrugs* So...um...what exactly happened to Shuno?

An unseen force shoved Stocatta back on the cot. She winced at the physical pain, but the sudden emotional and psychological pain was far worse. It was as though something had been ripped out of her, quite relentlessly. In the last moment, she could sense Legato's final call: [i][color=green]Forgive me.[/i][/color]
Relief and sorrow flowed throughout Stocatta's body. Tears streamed down her cheeks.
[i][color=blue]I can't believe I'm actually grieving. He really isn't worth this...[/color]
[color=purple]Oh God! What have I done! Have I truly killed my brother?[/color][/i]
Stocatta grimaced again, taking in Mai's thoughts.
[i][color=blue]She needs my help and support. She can't do this alone.[/i][/color]
Suddenly, Stocatta sensed another presence near Mai...someone Mai knew...[i][color=blue]But...Who is it?[/color][/i]

Julie winced in pain as her arm changed back. She looked around. Shuno had dropped Nick and ran. Nick was on his knees holding his head. Julie ran over to HIM.

"Are you alright," Julie asked as she rubbed Nick's back. Nick looked up at Julie. Fear and anger filled his eyes. Julie let out a sigh and hugged Nick.

"Other then the fact of you scareing the living daylights out of me," Nick said as he hugged Julie back, "I'm perfectly fine." Julie nodded her head as she heard Nick speak. She stopped hugging Nick and stared at him. (WARNING: Mushy Stuff)Nick brought his face closer to Julie's. Julie also leaned in until they were kissing. Dragus saw this and angerly went inside.

A few seconds later, Julie shoved Nick off. She looked around and stood up. She hung he head low as see stared at Legato's lifeless body.

"I wonder where Mai went too," Julie said as she turned and faced Nick. Nick shook his head and hugged Julie. Julie thought as she buried her head into Nick's shoulder.

Mai led Kayla back to the battlefield, where she saw Nick and Julie next to Shuno. Mai did her best not to even give a glance at Legato. Mai and Kayla walked over to the two lovebirds. "Nick, Julie. This is my old friend Kayla. Kayla, these are my friends Nick and Julie." They greeted each other. "Are the other's inside?" Mai asked, still doing her best to keep her eyes off Legato. "Yeah...Dragus stormed off and Sarah, Terran, and Shonya should be in there too." Nick told her. "You gonna be alright Mai?" He asked kindly. Mai honestly didn't know, so she did the only thing she thought of. "Yeah...whatever." She replied to him, walking inside a hospital. Kayla followed, and soon they met up with Sarah. Mai introduced both of them and they greeted each other as well. "Do you know where the others are, Sarah?" Mai asked. Sarah shook her head. "No. I saw Draggus come in here just a minute ago, but he looked pissed off. Terran and Shonya I just haven't seen." She said. Mai nodded thanks and walked into her own hospital room. "Please tell me, Mai, why in the world are we in a hospital?" Kayla asked, looking around. "Because this is where we're staying," Mai said sitting on her bed. Kayla sat next to her and they started to talk.

Julie walked into the hospital. She saw Terran and Shonya having a conversation. She saw Dragus leaning up aginst a wall and Sarah walk out of a room. She stopped in her tracks.

"What's wrong," Nick said as he hugged Julie from behind. Julie shook her head and walked away from Nick. Nick followed her. Julie walked into her room and sat down on her bed. Nick sat down next to her.

"I can't believe that all of those people out got drug into my little rescue mission," Julie said as her eyes filled with tears. Nick hugged her. He didn't want her to get upset.

"It's ok Julie," Nick said as he gripped Julie, "They wanted to come along and so did I." Julie buried her face in Nick's shoulder. Nick shook his head and put it on Julie's. Dragus walked into the room.

"Um," Dragus said with an angered tone, "Julie you might want to come see this." Julie shoved Nick away and looked at Dragus. Dragus made a motion with his head. Julie jumped up and started following Dragus. Nick got up and started following her.

A few seconds later, the three were standing in front of a room. Dragus opened the door and walked in. Julie and Nick followed. Julie's face flashed with shock as she looked at who occupied the room.

"A nurse just brought him in," Dragus said as he put his hand on the bed, "She said that nothing is seriously wrong with him, but he's unconscious." Julie ran over to the side of bed. She looked at her unconscious brother, Knives.

"OMG," Julie said as she grabbed Knives' hand, "I wonder what happened and where's Vash." Julie dropped Knives' hand, turned around, and hugged Nick. Nick hugged Julie and looked at Knives. Something had to happen, but what?

OOC: I don't know if anyone remembers the color coordination, but we haven't used [color=red]red[/color] in a while (it was supposed to be other people's thoughts/feelings inside Stocatta's head, but everyone has indidivual colors now), so I'm gonna use [color=red]red[/color] for Vash's thoughts.

Stocatta forced herself off the cot.
[color=blue][i]I'm sick of being here all alone, away from the action. I've got to get out of here.[/i][/color]
She struggled to her feet, and trudged slowly out the door, stopping every few seconds to catch her breath. The presence she had sensed no longer seemed near Mai because she had moved. Though there was another person with her, it was not the strong presence she had first noticed.
Stocatta carefully worked her way to the alley where Mai had been crying not long before. The alley was strewn with beer bottles, half-eaten apples, torn paper bags, dented overturned garbage cans, dirty ratted laundry (which had fallen from the clotheslines above), and other worthless trash, but there, among the rubble, Stocatta spotted a booted foot connected to a filthy hobo of indiscernible height. The odd man, wrapped in a tattered brown blanket, was clutching a box of doughnuts which he attempted to devour as inconspiculously as possible. He didn't appear to notice her as she leaned against the wall of the alley.
[color=blue][i]Who are you?[/color][/i] She asked, not wishing to overexert herself by communicating verbally when there was no need.
[color=red][i]How about if you first explain who you are, and why Legato Bluesummers is lying dead back there?[/color][/i]
This had to be either a humanoid or a powerful human if he could return telepathic conversation so easily.
[color=blue][i]Legato is dead because he was both dangerous and evil. He was a threat to humans and humanoids alike. Now that I've answered one of your questions, answer mine: Who are you?[/color]
[color=red]You're his wife aren't you? Well,[/i] widow[i] now, I suppose. Anyway, I'm sure you can guess who I am.[/color][/i]
She could sense a hint of both amusement and sorrow in the man's thoughts. Through the entire conversation, he had continued eating the doughnuts as though she weren't there communicating with him.
[color=blue][i]I think, you're the one they're all looking for, the one I was supposed to kill, Vash the Stampede.[/color]
[color=red]That would be correct.[/color][/i] He finished the last doughnut and slapped his hands together several times to remove as much of the excess icing as possible. He came to his feet and righted one of the trash bins so as to place the empty doughnut box in it.
At his full height, Stocatta found Vash quite imposing. She was not accustomed to men being that much taller than her.
"So," he began softly but intensely, "are you going to kill me or not?"
Stocatta studied him skeptically for several moments before replying in a whisper, "No, but you're stick with me for awhile, or I [i]will[/i] kill you. I need a bodyguard."
Vash looked her up and down then answered, "No problem! I'll work for free."
The expression on his face proved to Stocatta that, no matter whatever else he might be, he was still a typical guy.
[i][color=blue]He's better than nothing. It's easier to protect myself from rape than from Shuno's wrath. He'll be furious when he learns my part in Legato's death.[/color][/i]
"You had a part in his death?" Vash asked sternly, deciding to be serious once again.
"Yes," Stocatta shot back heatedly, "and I'm proud of it, too."
He glared at her for a moment before replying softly and, somewhat, nostagically, "No one has the right to take the life of another."
She turned away and muttered quietly to herself, "I need to remember not to think so consciously with him. He wouldn't understand."
She began to work her way out of the alley, and called back to him, "C'mon! I'm gonna need your help until I heal!"
Vash the Stampede began to follow cautiously behind her, quietly speaking to himself, "I hope Knives is alright. I may not be able to return to him for awhile."

OOC: Okay, again, I wrote this while rather tired. let me know if anything I said doesn't work.

Julie stopped hugging Nick and turned toward Knives. She had to try to wake him up. She walked over to the side of the bed.

"[color=hotpink]Knives[/color]," Julie said with a worried tone, "[color=hotpink]If you can hear me do something[/color]." Knives' hand moved as Julie telepathically talked to him. Julie's eyes lit up as Knives' eyes opened. His blue eyes looked tired.

"Julie," Knives said as he sat up, "where's Vash?" Julie shook her head. She had no idea where Vash was. Knives stood up and looked at Nick.

"Hello Knives," Nick said with a glare. Julie walked over to Nick and hugged his arm. Knives crossed his arms and started tapping his foot. Julie smiled and looked at Nick.

"[color=orange]What's going on Julien[/color]," Knives said as he stared hard at Julie. Julie started to blush as she looked at Nick. She then turned toward Knives. Knives didn't look so happy.

"[color=gray]Don't ask the girl so many questions[/color]," Nick said as he stared at Knives. Knives looked shocked as Nick's words ran through his head. He knew Nick was oddly strong, but he would never think he could be a [i]Humanoid[/i].

"[color=orange]I have the right to ask my sister anything about her love life Nicholas[/color]," Knives said with a stern look. Nick shook his head and looked at Julie. Julie was still hugging his arm, but she had her head down.

"I hate to interupt this," Dragus said as he looked out the window, "but I think I just saw Vash." Julie let go of Nick's arm and ran out the door. Knives and Nick followed her. The three ran outside.

[color=navy]Kayla and Mai saw Julie run past the door with Knives and Nick following.

Mai was shocked. "Knives! Then where's Vash?"she asked standing up and running out the door after them.

Kayla stood up. "Vash? Hey! Wait up!" she ran out after the four of them.

She caught up to Mai who was trailing Julie, Knives, and Nick by only a few steps.

"Where are we going?"she asked Mai.

"I don't know, where ever they're going!"Mai answered and ran a little faster so she could catch up to the three.

Sarah had headed out into the street while everyone else was in the hopsital. She headed over to Legato's dead, lifeless body.
"How pathetic." she said as she grabbed his arm and started to tug. She dragged him out of the street and into a nearby building, which just happened to be the office of the town sherif.

"Hello!" she yelled in the silence of the building. A small door opened to the side and a fat, old, dangly man came out of the door.

"How can I help.....AHH!" the man screamed in his old voice as he looked at Legato's dead body on the floor.

Sarah ran to cover his mouth, as not to let the others know. "So..how much?" she asked the old man as she slowly let go.

"The reward price was $$10 billion. He was wanted on numerous accounts of murder."

Sarah held out her hand, waiting to recieve her payment.

The old man looked at her and started to laugh.
"Look here lady, we don't have that type of money! You've got to be joking!"

A very stern look came across Sarah's face as she drew out her sword. "Look her," Sarah said as she pointed her sword at the old man, "Either you give me my money, or someone is going to get hurt!"

A frightened look came across the old man's face as he started to head of the vault. He took out the money, and placed it in a bag, and handed it to Sarah. "Thank you very much." she said as she hid the bag in her clothes.

All of a sudden she heard some commotion outside, and turned around, and saw Julie, Nick, and "Knives??" running out of the hospital.
Sarah put her sword away and ran out of the office, and began to follow...

Julie stopped dead in her tracks. Knives tried to stop in time, but wound up hiting Julie. Julie turned and looked at him.

"Why did you stop," Knives said as he backed up slightly. Julie turned and pointed. Knives looked in the direction she pointed in. Nothing was there. Vash had just disappeared. Julie walked slightly foward.

"Where could he have gone to," Julie said as she around. Julie turned around. She looked at Knives, Nick, Mai, Kayla, and Sarah and shook her head. They all put their heads down and started walking back to the hospital. Suddendly something only rang through Julie's, Nick's, and Knives' heads.

"[color=red]I'm sorry guys[/color]," Vash's voice rang through their head, "[color=red]I can't allow you to find me yet. Good to see you're doing good Knives, Julie I would rethink who you're falling for, and Nick, I always thought there was something weird about you. I've got to go. Bye[/color]!" Julie looked at Knives. Knives shrugged his shoulders. They had to follow Vash.

"Lets go guys," Julie said as she started marching in the other direction. Everyone turned around, looked at each other, and started following Julie.

Mike was trudging through the desert when he saw a group of people. He shielded his eyes to see who the people were. There were four girls and two guys. He recognized one of the guys. It was his twin brother, Nick. Mike started running toward the group.

He caught up to the group in a few seconds. He was sneaking around behind the group. He suddendly froze when the girl leading the grop stopped. She turned and caught him. A sweatdrop appered on the side of Mike's face.

"Who are you," the girl said. Mike looked at the girl with his different colored eyes. He looked at Nick. Nick had his arms crossed and he was tapping his foot. Mike let out a sigh and smiled nervously.

"The name's Michael G. Wolfwood," Mike said as he stopped smileing, "and I'm the twin brother to your friend Nick there." The girl raised one of her eyebrows and looked at Nick. Nick had his hand on his forehead and he was shakeing his head.

"Well," the girl said, "I'm Julie, this is my brother, Knives, and these are my friends Mai, Kayla, and Sarah." Mike nodded his head and walked up to Julie.

"You're Julie the Typhoon," Mike said as he grabbed Julie's hand, "You're more beautiful then I imagined." Mike kissed Julie's hand and let it go. Nick looked really upset at Mike's suaveness. He marched over to Julie and grabbed her hand.

"Either you want to help us," Nick said as he started walking again, "or your just going to be in the way." Mike quickly followed Nick and Juile.

"Alright," Mike said with the famous Wolfwood grin, "I'll help." Nick shook his head as he walked with Julie. Julie's hand was still in Nick's. Mike could tell his brother had gotten jealous.

Stocatta leaned back in her chair, grateful to be finally sitting after the walk to the next town. She'd wanted to avoid contact with Shuno and with Julie's gang. It seemed every town in the region had a tavern or two, and Mr. Vash had insisted on stopping in the first one they found. Currently, he was on his fourth or fifth beer, Stocatta had lost count. The Humanoid Typhoon was losing badly at a game of poker. For someone as smart as he was, he certainly sucked at gambling.
Stocatta sighed herself. The whirlwind experiences of the past few days had her emotionally drained. Somehow, she didn't think that Legato would really be leaving her for awhile. Stocatta found it quite ironic how a person could love and hate someone so passionately at the same time.
[color=blue][i]Legato, you know this really isn't fair. But I should have known that your memory would haunt me. Afterall, it's been years since I existed without you in my head. You're not going to leave, are you?[/i][/color]
Stocatta found herself scowling sarcastically. Irony seemed to be her middle name.
[color=blue][i]What I really need to do right now is concentrate on Shuno. I wonder if I should go w/ the ol' "the best defense is a good offense." It might be better to attack him as soon as possible. Vash has gotten past the demon's eye before. I bet he could do it again.[/color]

Stocatta jumped at the sudden intrusion. She looked over at the poker table to find Vash meeting her eyes for a split second.

Anger edged her thoughts.

His taunts were not helping the situation.

Stocatta found herself rolling her eyes at the odd man despite the fact that Vash wasn't even looking at her. He was still losing money at the poker table. However, as she began to pay more attention to the game, she realized that the other players were growing more and more confident...not to mention drunker and drunker. Within twenty minutes, the tide of the card game turned completely in Vash's favor, and he had held off drinking for sometime.
[color=blue][i]You're smarter than I thought. I'd taken you for stone drunk half an hour ago.[/color]
[color=red]Well, I'm not so drunk so as to assume I'm sober. I'm still a little tipsy.[/color][/i]
Demonstrating, Vash teetered back and forth for a few moments as though about to tip over.

Stocatta leaned back in her chair. As she preferred, she was back in a corner, away from at least the physical commotion. The thoughts and emotions of everyone in the room still bounced around in her head like background noise. It took concentration to block it all out.

Stocatta focused on her adversary.

Stocatta blinked for a moment. The voice was strange. It seemed like Shuno perhaps, but Stocatta couldn't understand why he be talking with himself in such a way. One thing she did discover, he was nearby, in a building in the same town she was in.

The sarcastic thought reeled through her mind. She knew she was too weak to ditch Vash and kill Shuno. They would have to leave, and soon, too.
Stocatta's blood ran cold for a moment. Shuno was leaving the building he'd been in, and there was anger and hatred in his demeanor.

Suddenly, an nearby explosion rocked the tavern. Stocatta jumped up and looked at Vash urgently.

Komeko sighed as she trudged through the desert. Her mind was open and clear, focusing her thoughts for Stocatta. It appeared to be the most hopeless of situations until a voice buzzed in her head.

"What the..." Komeko muttered, turning her head up. Sweat was running down the back of her neck as she listeined again.

IC-As Kayla and the others followed Julie, an ear defining blast of sound from a saxophone, blasted the buildings around them into rubble.

Kayla and the others fell to the ground from the blast.

[i]What was that?[/i] Kayla thought to herself.

[/color][i][color=pink]It must've been--[/i][/color][color=navy] Kayla heard Julie's thought interupted by another glass shattering blast.

She now heard Mai. [/color][i][color=purple]It must be Shuno. He's the only one who could be doing this![/i][/color]

[color=navy]Kayla realized that Julie and Mai must be talking to each other telepathically. Kayla tried to ask "Who's Shuno?" out loud but another blast rocked the few remaining buildings around them.[/color]

[i][color=gray]He must be getting closer. We've got to move now before he--[/i][/color][color=navy] Nick was interupted by Shuno coming into sight.

Shuno noticed them all on the ground and blew again on his saxphone. The building nearest them suddenly collapsed and fell straight towards the group.

[i]Oh no! We'll all be killed![/i] Kayla frantically stood up and jumped out of the way, along with Julie and the rest of the group

Sarah used her lightening fast speed to get away from the buildings before any of the others. She looked over at Shuno. "Darn i was hopeing he would have died. But oh well. There's more money for me to collect!" Sarah said as she pulled out her sword.

The rest of the group drew out their weapons as well. Sarah decided to take avantage of her speed, and headed into the city. The rest of the group all started to shoot at Shuno.

Shuno once again blew his horn, and another building went toppling down in front of the group. Sarah hid herself behind one of the posts of a building while Shuno was turned toward the group.
