Deedlit
Okay, I was talking to this guy during geometry, and we started talking about the Zelda games since the teacher wasn't teaching at that moment. We started talking about what might have happened to Link once his adventures were over, and he says
"All I know is that he and Zelda had a baby before Ganondorf was banished." I know they never got married, but this guy kept saying that it was in the original storyline and the editors cut that section out of the games and stuff.
I'm asking this here just to get things straightened out because I don't want to chance taking his word on it (
mainly because he came up with some other crazy things. He thought that the Link from Ocarina of Time was sent forward into the future and is the same Link from the Wind Waker.
) So I would appreciate comments about this, and please let me know if I'm wrong. :)

Shinmaru
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel I can tell you right out that he is insane.
That says it all right there, heh. This stuff is really no different from all the other crazy crap that a lot of people come up with in their spare time. And the explanation always seems to include either "They were gonna put it in the game but they cut it out" or "I know this is true because I know someone who works there." I just think it's funny to read the weird stuff people make up and laugh long and hard at it.
Desbreko
Semjaza's right; he's just making up rumors. I mean, if he thinks the Link in TWW is the same Link as in OOT, I wouldn't believe anything else he says. It clearly states in TWW that Link is not related to the first Link in OOT. (The King of Red Lions says it when you first meet Jabun).
Semjaza
The simple idea of a baby is ridiculous in and of itself. Zelda and Link never official get together in any Zelda game, let alone have a child. That's something I don't think Miyamoto really wants to deal with. It's possible your friend read this somewhere though, as I'm sure there's a million fanfics on the subject. Sadly.

He said that Link isn't completely Hylian or something of the sort, something about Link's uncle not having pointy-ears or something. Since I haven't played any of the older Zelda games I couldn't really say anything about this. Is it because his Hylian blood was thin or something?
Semjaza
I'm sure Desbreko has a better picture laying around... and I also know he could answer your question far better. However, that's a drawing of his uncle from Link to the Past, so again, it seems as though he's making things up.
Desbreko
Nowhere that I know of does it say that Link isn't full-blooded Hylian... Unless it says it in Zelda II, which I highly doubt. And all of Link's relatives (the two Links that have known relatives anyway) have pointy ears. As Semjaza has shown, Link's uncle from A Link to the Past has pointy ears, and Link's grandma and sister also have pointy ears in The Wind Waker. I have art of all three of them. Also, in the A Link to the Past comics, we also see that Link's mother and father as well as his uncle have pointy ears. (Well, you can't see his father's ears since his hair is in the way, but you can see that his mother has pointy ears). So yeah, there's no evidence for that, either.

I've always known that. That doesn't really make a difference about what Zelda II does or doesn't have to say about Link's race, though. (And just for the record, it doesn't say anything more than the first Legend of Zelda -- since my last post in this thread, I've played through the game on the Collector's Edition disc).
