stormy001_m1a2
I think the strategy talks is good, since it shows the big picture where the lovebirds fought their lives for. At least it is good perspective of the reason why Lafiel and her crew has to put their life on bets, not just some blind attack and retreat. My only regret is that they do not show United Mankind's High Command military think in the campaign. Ah, maybe it is time for me to read the novels again...... I enjoy reading military history but I didn't watch Crest of the Stars for anything of the kind.
Amity
Man, am I that ignorant? It's been so long since I have last been here, that I forgot I already posted to this thread!!! *Laughs to self* I have bad memory. But the show is truly good. It's one of my favorite animes. I wonder if it is on tonight...
stormy001_m1a2
Yes, I want to know what happened to them too. But Jinto had said he returned home to his planet as did Lafiel return to hers. But sadly, Iwas not able to find out more. I appreciate ya'lls thoughts though! It's really nice to see people are on the same track as you.
Errr, Ghintec/Jinto did return to Martine and face hostile subjects with the Princess. The novel talks about Lafiel/Lamhirh and Ghintec/Jinto subsequent attempt to stop the possible planetary bombardment by Imperial Abh Navy which deployed new class of assault frigates on rebellious planet after Martine enjoyed brief suzerainty of United Mankind. This volume of novel is published too late for Sunrise Studios to animate it, so you have the ending of novel volume 5. Oh, the Martine also use their planetary defense system finally. I dunno where you get the impression of Lamhirh/Lafiel goes back to her homeland, she determined to follow Ghintec/Jinto forever in guise of "protecting" him. It is pretty hammered down in the end of Banner of the Stars 2, episode 10.

amazoness lover
Yes I can if you con record as many Banner of the Stars episodes as posible and send them through via e-mail. First epi, Jinto and I think his freind, are on a space station, its been awhile but I have good memory, talking when a theif stells a bags from a old woman, Not in order of story line only in memeory sorry, when Jinto sees that he chases the band of kid theives and throws a baseball or a softball at him, after they switch him a few times, and almost hits Lafiel but she catches the ball and the kid with the purse. After that they introduce each other while going to a transport ship to go to the main ship. After that the episode ends and that concloudes the first episode. :animeknow :animestun Thank you for listening and sharing info with me. By the way I'm a guy. IceRose
I really like Banner of Stars. I like Jinto he is cool, I mean he is accepted in a world where he doesn't belong, he should be in his home planet. Lafiel is cool too but she need to take some stress off of her
Sabrina
I just started watching this show, well almost since I just finished episode three. Anyway, so far I like it a lot. The two main characters Jinto and Lafiel are fun to watch even though the storyline hasn?t progressed very far just yet. My favorite moment so far was in episode three when Lafiel was telling the story of how her father let her believe that the other half of her genetic origins was from the
family cat.
Oh did I laugh over that. XD Anyway, unless something changes I?m thinking I will enjoy this series. :catgirl: I know I certainly enjoy the music to it. It has a nice grand sweeping sound that fits nicely with the overall space theme of the show.
SunfallE
I find it interesting that you started watching Crest of the Stars, Sabrina. I literally just finished watching the OVA earlier today. Banner of the Stars III. I enjoyed it as much as I did the first three seasons. My only disappointment was that it was too short, so it felt like they just tied up a few loose ends without really addressing the main two characters Jinto and Lafiel as well as I would have liked. I still enjoyed it though. Now they just need to release it on DVD so I can pick it up and complete my collection of this series.
Same here, I finished this up and though it was nice to see, it just didn't really cover the deal between those two as well as I would have liked to see. It was interesting how the ending credits had
notes on what each group was doing
but I would have liked to see that fleshed out instead of being done like that. Still as you said, it was still enjoyable, just too short for my tastes. I do like that they resolved the issue with Jinto and his
home world
It was sad but I liked how they handled it.
Aaryanna
I should just about copy and paste what both you and SunfallE said Rach. My opinion about the OVA is the same. Fun but had me wishing for more, especially in regards to Lafiel and Jinto. I'm kind of sorry that they are done with the series, at least I'm assuming that means they are done.
