What do you guys think of piercings? I'm getting my belly-button pierced in a couple days and wanted to know how many of you have them? I'm kind of nervous.

I just got my right eyebrow done last month. I can't wait for my mom to see it next week so she can threaten to rip it out. My husband talked me into it. I also have 3 holes in both ears and my cartiledge is done in my left ear. Very top.
The hubby on the other hand, can't get get any done because of the military. But he did have his nipples pierced for a while, and his eyebrow as well as his naval.
Word of advice on the naval ring tho. THey get infected really easily so you have to wash them out every day like twice a day (same with eyebrow piercings) or they start to ooz:eek: Also, don't get gold body piercings, they're o.k. in your ears, but anywhere else is bad.

I have a pierced ear. I guess that shouldn't really even be considered a true piercing but hey.

My older sister has several though. She has a nose ring, 4 holes in her ear, a tongue ring, and a belly button ring. She says that she has to keep the belly button ring really clean.

I like piercings a lot although a friend in college recently called them "high school pish posh" which made me fell more than a little stupid. I think they look awesome and would get more, but I really don't want to pierce anything that isn't cartiledge. (a.k.a. eyebrows. lip exc. I think that the lip on the side is uberspiff too.) I find almost every body piercing disgusting.

Belly button rings of any sort are totally unappealing. Tongue rings are the absolute worst, I can't look at them. Well actually, any sort of genitalia piercing would be the worst... but ugh, I can't even think about those.

Anyway, earrings are one thing... anything else is just weird. I don't see how it's some form of self-expression or anything. You just look bad.

Earrings are Ok. But other things... on some they look good, on others they look bad. Just today I saw a guy with a nipple ring.... Eeeeww. My stomach turned.

As with anything, it is your choice.

Well, I think my eyebrow ring looks pretty good. I just can't really understand nose rings.
Also, you have to keep everything you pierce [b][i]EXTREMELY[/i][/b] clean. or it'll start to get really nasty looking.

belly button piercing? I think it's okay. But i'd rather have my ears pierced than my belly button. I just don't like having a belly button ring, and i don't know why.
But if you want ur belly button pierced, go ahead, it's your choice.

When it comes to piercing I wouldn't keep anything away from my face. I want to get my eyebrow pierced, maybe an ear. That's about all I'm okay with. Noses are okay but I don't think I want one.

I would never get my belly button pierced, that's kind of a girl thing. It also seems to be a trend with girls in my high school, can't say it's not sexy though ;)

I have my ears pierced a couple of times and wouln't mind getting my them done a couple of more times.Or my eyebrow.My stepmom got her bellybotton done and it got infected.My aunt also got hers done but it ripped out.She said it getting ripped out wasn't painful but it sounded painful.My dad has his nipple and ear done.My stepmom also has her ears pierced 5 times total and her nose is pierced.She wanted to get her tounge done but the vien that ran through the middle of her tounge was too thick.My girlfriend says she's goning to get her belly done but I wouldn't.That's just me though.So if you want to get yours done more power to ya.

[color=deeppink]I've always been pretty open to experimentation when it comes to piercings because a.) they're addictive, and b.) you can take them out if need be and cover up the hole.

I've had my navel pierced for over a year, my mom was nice enough to sign for me when I was 17. If the hole closed up for any reason, I woudln't get it pierced again. It was too long and painful of a healing process.

Eventually, when I get enough money [I keep saying this, but it never happens :P] I'll get either my tongue done or a tiny little nose stud. I just like trying out new things, I like changes even when it comes to my body ^_^

And...for some reason I really don't like the navel piercing on guys. I think it looks a tad effeminate :shifty:[/color]

I think piercings are cool. I had my ears pierced when I was a baby. Those are the only pierced things I have. I know a few friends with bellybutton pierced, and they look pretty cool in different colors. So, it's cool to have piercings, but not too much on the body. You don't want 20 holes all over your face and stomach. Get my drift?:cool:

I only have my ears pierced, and I have to stop wearing heavy earrings. The holes are starting to go low, better stop that.
I want to get my belly button pierced, and you have to keep it clean, and I keep the earrings clean too.

Oh by the way of piercing, I just saw a picture of a guy with 10 piercings on each eyebrow, 3 on each nose, basically his whole faced was pierced. Also heard of a guy who's butt was pierced.

[color=darkviolet]Naval piercings not only hurt they are a biatch to keep clean! Infact it's like one of the most easiest to get infected piercings.
I've heard nipple rings hurt even more tho, kinda like the same sensation you'd get if someone pulled on your nipples with needle nose plyers.
Tongue rings sound like the most fun tho. Of course I read in Jane magazine last month that a girl in England was struck by lightning in the mouth due to her tongue ring. So couldn't talk and lost feeling in there as well for a while:eek:
Eyebrow piercings take a while to get used to since you always see it in the corner of your eye . (really strange) You have to constantly wash it out and you can't sleep on that side of your body for about two weeks. I don't mind them, and on certain people, I think they make the person more attractive. Plus, no one can deny the fact that picking out earrings, etc is a world of fun.

Unfortunatly, every time I've tried to pierce my ears, they closed back up again, because I had done something wrong. This was all the piercer's fault, as they told me very different things, so I ended up taking them out too soon or not cleaning them enough everytime. Very frustrating. XP

Eventually I want to get a couple earrings in each ear, but that's it. (If I can ever get them to heal properly! :grumble: ) I'm too much of a wimp when it comes to pain to get piercings anywhere else. Owie. Especially your nipples and gentalia...that's pushing it too far. That's just gross. x.X;;

I have one piercing in my left ear. Had it since I was 4 years old. My mom took my older brother to get an earring, and she asked me if I wanted one while we were there. I probably won't get anything else pierced, although I am thinking about buying a new earring. My brother stole half of my old ones, and the other half were simply lost.

I don't have a problem with piercings in general, but some people just really need to know where their limit is. When your piercings inhibit your normal actions (eating, hearing, having sex), it's time to stop. Other than that, it's your thing. Do what you wanna do.

My brother's baby-momma (yes, we are that ghetto) has a piercing on her bottom lip. Whenever she drinks, it drips through the hole in her lip and off of her lip-ring. It's pretty funny. She should really eat with a napkin under her chin.

I have my ears pierced and that's it. I'm thinking about getting my ears pierced a couple more times and that will be it for me. I'm not one for lip piercings, nose piercing, or anthing else like that.

Of coarse for some people it never ends. I'll never understand why people pierce certain things, but I'm not going to say anything against them. That's there choice and I don't care just as long as they keep me out of it.

Hmm piercings on your ears, belly button, and/or nose is fine. Tongue and lip rings somewhat disgusts me, but it does look [i]decent[/i] on some people. Nipple rings...-_-...if it works for you, go ahead. I dont wanna see it though. lol But anywhere else below the naval is just sick. I'm sorry, but if your a man and you gotta get the "Yah Mean" pierced....somethin wrong wit ya. No offense to those that actually have the joint pierced, which I SERIOUSLY doubt anyone of these boards got that.

^^ You mean your septum? Anyway, I love piercings and tattoos. I think they are a creative way to improve upon your body. I have four earings and my labrette pierced and I love them all. It's understandable if people don't like certain piercings but its rude to just blatently say they're distgusting.

I've always been intrigued by getting my tongue pierced but in conjunction with my labrette, that would just be too much metal on my face. So I guess thats out of the question. However, there are plenty of other things to get pierced later on down the road.
