Arkadyz
Well I didnt see a thread for this so ive taken it upon myself to make one. I know its only 9 minutes into the series but its looking pretty good. Ofcourse I really like style of animation(By the same people who do Samuri Jack) Its alittle sad though...9 minutes of animation shows more promise and holds more entertainment value then the last 2 parts of the prequels...George really is his own worst enemy...he should let more people create stories for his universe...Cause he really sucks at it anymore... Anywayz enough of my george bashing...What do you all think of the new micro series? Kanariya
I am not really fond of it. I'm not a big Star Wars fan anyway, you wouldn't catch me watching it really unless if there's nothing on TV and it's on. I just think it's not that appealing, but of course that is my opinion. Other might think otherwise, but at least Yoda looks like Yoda.

TheShinje
Two words, Animatrix Ripoff. Let me justify that, a series of cartoons aimed at linking episode 2 and 3 together, sounds a bit like linking Matrix 1 and 2 to me. While I have not seen the series yet, and it is doubtful I'll see it for some time, and no doubt, it's probably an okay series, The whole thing just reminds me of the Animatrix project. Is the first one done by Squaresoft? just kidding.
I, Colossus
Originally posted by Shinji Ikari Two words, Animatrix Ripoff.
Oh yes, because every series that expands itself into the cartoon realm is a rip-off of the Matrix. Even if they got the idea from the Animatrix, is it fair to call it a rip-off? That's like saying the Matrix is a rip-off of Star Wars because Star Wars was a trilogy first. :p It just doesn't matter, if anything we should be happy that more film creators are seeing the advantages in expanding their series, and if it turns into a cartoon/anime we should be even more happy. I just don't see what (logical) problem you have with it.
Manic Webb
You know, I'm getting really tired of the word "rip-off." It's getting to the point where two completely different series are being compared to one another. I mean, come on! You wanna used that kind of screwed-up logic? So can I... The Animatrix is a rip-off of Aladdin: The Animated Series. That was a series of cartoons that took place between Aladdin: The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves. See how much sense that made? Aladdin, The Matrix, and Star Wars are nothing alike. Saying Clone Wars is a rip-off of Animatrix is... asinine. That aside, I like the artwork and animation used in Clone Wars. It's by Tartakovsky (Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack), so I already had fairly high expectations for it. The story is nothing I wouldn't expect, though. Some clone/droid action. I did, however, enjoy the little Sith display shown in Friday's episode. Like Arkadyz said, I think Clone Wars is more entertaining than the past couple of Star Wars films. Which is sad, considering I've only seen a half hour of animation so far.

I decided to mix a bit of humor into an observation, ergo that observation was indeed the systematic anomaly of linking a series of movies in by a series of short animated films, concordingly this is something that I'd like to see more of, not less. Asisnine as it may have been, it was meant to be that way, I was merely taking an observation that, Shroom also made, that they might have got the idea off the Animatrix, and turned it into a sarcastic, humorous observation. Did you absolutely have to bite my head off for it? I agree with shroom however (yes, I AGREE) that we should be happy more filmmakers are decideing to do this. If i'm a fan of the animatrix, I am sure I'll like clone wars too. The Idea that they will explore more of Anakins turn to the dark side using some cool animation sequences is a neat idea. Not to mention some of the other realms of the Star wars universe can also be explored. The still shots I've seen of it looks realy good, I can't wait to see it. Manic Webb
You know the problem with being sarcastic on the internet? It's nearly impossible to read someone's tone of voice through their writing most of the time. I guess I was a little on-edge with the whole "this is a rip-off of that" thing. People have been saying that so much lately, and it's really getting on my nerves. Even if I did catch that you weren't serious, chances are somebody else would've thought you were.
