Bishie
Okay, this post probably makes no sense at all. But i felt like ranting. If for some reason this post needs to be shut down or whatever, i'd completely understand. annyway lol onto the subject. I start my new high-school in about 6 hours *twitches* and im so nervous! Im actually up typing at 1am because my body is just refusing to sleep. I don't actually mind going to school, infact i like it alot (yes im strange) However, i've moved around alot in my life so its not like starting a new school is something im not familiar with. But you see, im British and i now live in America. So whenever i start a knew school i get quite alot of attention because of my accent which makes me even more nervous and apprehensive to go to a new school. So I was wondering, has anyone else had to start a new school or job lately that they have been nervous about? and how did your first day go?..was it something to be remembered?..or something to be thrown away into a dark hole and forgotten forever?
Braidless Baka
¬_¬;; Yeah, it's early for me and late for her... sleep woman! Then you won't feel so nervous! But gah... I'm starting a new job soon myself. Just go with it. What happens when you get there can only be dealt with there and then. And no matter what you do, it can't be solved by fretting and worrying. Just go and knock 'em out ;)
Charlie Levoy
I know how you feel. I move around alot too and once was use to starting a new school. Actually I still am use to it and it doesn't bother me so much. It's just that the last place I stayed at. Well I was there for six years. That's the longest I stayed at any place my whole intire life. So when I started my new high school I felt weird because I was use to a certain type of well personalities. I mean where I use to live wasn't exactly to say friendly. Here is completely different so I'm having to adjust a little. Don't worry about it so much. After a few days you'll be perfectly fine. Oh and by the way. Welcome to America. ;) Charlie Levoy
Guest cloricus
I just meet a new group of friends; not sure if it counts but it's the third time it's happened except this is the first time that I welcomed meeting these people. First time I walked into the pool (hot day) at a new place my mother lived and was taken in by about fifteen people and had no choice if they were my friends or not (now one of them is my best friend) and the second time I just got invited out of the blue to attend something and left with a new bunch of people and this time is just really weird... But people make me nervous some times so actively going out and saying ?hi? having no idea about the people is hard also taking on board my track record with it, I'm honestly shocked by the amount of friends I have now and that have stayed friends, most of which I can call real friends which to me is something very odd. *Beats Mr. Wizard with shovel* So I guess weird things just happen; god if I can get friends anyone can. (*Looks to Harlequin, TUN, Raven for support on statement.*) Just enjoy you're new school. :P Some thing of interest is that at school I have far less friends than out side it; this seems to be the opposite with most people or am I just not observant enough? Kanariya
Yeah, I know how you feel. It goes for the first days of middle school. Since me being a "puny 6th grader" people care less and just push me to get out of the way. Well that's the only bad part. I made a WHOLE lot of new friends also, and I am a blabber mouth in class and makes everyone laugh. One of my unique traits :) :D But of course, my first day no 7th or 8th graders were around, so I could get used to everything. Don't feel really too nervous. I bet you'll make some friends. I have gone to three new schools in the past four years. I have been to a few other ones before that also. I am a veteran at the new school thing. The one I am at now though, I like and I will most likely stay here till I graduate. Where in VA are you? I live in DC, so if it's NoVa we might live near each other and perhaps you know of my school and vice-versa! -Scott
