Well, if you don't knoo what the RIAA is, (I don' know what it stands for but) they are a governement organization that sues people and arrets people for illegal downloading. Well, like I said, do yout think they go too far sometimes? Like sueing that 12 year old girl. They are meant to keep copyright laws in place and enforce them, but they aren't doing a good job...And they do go too far sometimes, I think they once broke into someones house as they were downloading and arrested them, red handed. That's still a little drastic, like that drug raid at the highschool.... Our police forces and government officials are going off the deep end now. What's the world comeing to? And, I don't know what people are bitching about so much if back then like around the middle ages and even like in the 1800s people used to be done things to without much sense, back then it used to be strict, well, the world is repeating itself, and its good. Though the 12 year old thing sounds fkin insane, and its very stupid because, i mean, goddamn only 12 years old, give it a break. You know whats going on though? the cds are selling for less nowadays. CDs that used to be at 19 bucks are now simply 13.99 and stuff, like new cds, such as the sarah mchlachlan one. I think RIAA is responsible for this, maybe they saw they were being a bit too dramatic on this whole illegal downloading stuff and lowered the prices for some things. Like my friend said, maybe they kind of gave up about this whole thing because people still download, and they are now saying with these new prices, to "please stop the downloading, we'll lower the prices and everything just please stop downloading". Their being so aggressive to set an example to everyone else. While I agree with what their doing, I think that a better step would be to work on changing cd prices. I bet that would have a larger impact on the amount of d/ling if that changed. Anyway, I think this topic was already created. Might wanna check on that. Though maybe the prices should be dropped but that is not the problem. As for the 12 year old girl, they only had a name not who the person was, so the parents should have to take responsiblilty of the girls action.
