I look up to the skies

Azure_Skies


I look up to the skies at night,
longing and hoping for that sight,
in which the stars will take their flight,
and give you a star to wish on,

For I can see you in the shade,
wanting the past to simply fade,
wanting the mistakes that you have made,
To dissappear,
to vanish,
to die,

I can't stand to see you that way,
lying in the light of day,
silently making yourself pay,
for things that aren't your fault,

I'd sit here for the longest time,
speaking in an endless rhyme,
just to stop those tears; so crystalline,
Don't tremble,
Don't shiver,
Don't cry,

Don't cry,
Don't be mad,
I'll be here,
So don't be sad....




I wrote this poem for one of my best friends who was hurting herself because she was miserable. I wanted her to be happy so I wrote this for her. She liked it and things have been better ever since!
