Art Back to the "AzureWolf" feel...

Ok, the animated GIFs and chibi-ness just wasn't working for me. As I've heard from many people, it just didn't match my online persona. Yeah, I felt that too, but c'mon, [I]it was animated[/I].

Anyway, were back to the basics with this set.

Any kind of alteration looked ugly on this picture (is this pic any good? Well, [I]I[/I] like it :p), so I only made contrast and color changes.

By popular demand, I've minimized and simplified my borders. I was looking for a quote for this banner, but couldn't come up with one. Expect this banner to transform over time as I figure something out (suggestions don't hurt either).

Oh, and the myOtaku profile pic. Haha, I know it doesn't fit either, but it's just so funny. I'm keeping this one for a while.

Your banner is really pretty gorgeous. Here's what I'd do:

1. Remove the glowing border/feathering/whatever from the image of Kirika. It makes her seem a little out of place.

2. Either decrease the brightness and increase the contrast of the Naruto characters' pictures, or do the reverse to that .hack//SIGN guy. His hat and hair are so intensely colored that they tend to be a little distracting.

3. Blur the Japanese characters a [i]tiny[/i] bit. The text is nearly perfect; it just needs to look a little smoother.

You've done an awesome job. Nice work. ^__^

Hey dude, it's nice to see you back with the good stuff, you're right that chibi thing didn't really sit right. Anyway, I think you need to increase the trnasparency of the naruto guys or something because the block of solid colour there jarrs slightly against the CG of the rest of the banner. maybe it would work better if you put the same glowy thing that's around Kirika around the Naruto image. It just needs to be more balanced. Other than that I think it's looks great...far more fitting.

Your avatars are brilliant however. I especially love you're profile pic, very good..funny even.

Sorry, I've been fairly busy this weekend. Just so you know that your comments weren't in vain, I thought I'd post. :D

Yeah, I'll definately try to make the recommended adjustments next weekend, so I'll repost then. Thanks for the compliments and suggestions.

Haha ... just teasing. Although it is kind of weird to see a banner from you without that rainbow border, I do like it better.

It looks good, though. I'm curious as to what it says, and I agree with Dagger's advice about the, er, glowing girl, she doesn't quite fit in with her border.

I realized why it looks kind of strange to me -- the three Naruto characters and the leftmost girl are 2D, while the other two characters are 3D. That strikes me as a little odd.

I think that was the best method of blending the Naruto characters, because I didn't want just a vague outline, nor a lack of any blend between the background and the characters. So, is everything ok with this version, or did i mess up anything (or not properly fix a problem)? That strikes me as a little odd.[/quote] Yeah, I made her glow because I extracted her pretty badly, but I guess quick fixes don't work. Yeah, I did a better extraction this time.

Haha, what does it say? What else but "AzureWolf?" :D My friend who is taking Japanese made it for me, along with the two other possible way to write AzureWolf. I think Japanese letters look cool, and it puts his Japanese writing skills to good use. :bellylol:

Rats, is it that weird-looking with the 3D characters? I thought they fit in well. If anyone has a suggestion on how to make them mix well together, that would be grand.
