[color=blue]This story takes place in another plane of imagination... like most alternate realities, this one is captivating, and full of fantasy... but not all fantasy is friendly.[/color]

A lone figure stands in awe of a majestic, terrifying light. A colouge of blues, purples, and whites. A giant orb, with tendrils of light, like a mystic anchor, shot into the snow-covered ground. To the left, two more figures can been seen fighting, rage and obvious hatred flaring in their every move. To the right, a mere blur of a form is struggling to reach the awestruck innocent, who is slowly moving towards the radiant sphere. As the man or woman, wich ever it is, approaches the light, it seems to shimmer and contort, reeling at the sight of the person. And in a booming, deep voice, so deep that it is nearly inaudable, it says...[/color]

This is a world of fantastic creatures, a word of mystery and adventure... now let me tell you what to do...

First of all, this is a world most like something you'd see with elves and dragons and sorcery etc., but this world will have all sorts of strange races. Those of wich do not include: elves (sorry), goblins, dwarves, or any other generic creature you could think of... but there are plenty to make up for it. As for the question of "is there magic?"... ohhhhhh yes. This is a HIGHLY magical world... there are many different kinds of magic also...
EX: shape-shifting, elemental, necromancy, etc.

Now here are a few of the creatures that exist in this reality...

Humans: I don't have to explain what they look like, but let me say that they are a VAST minority. [U]minority[/U]

Felnohka: The animal race! Felnohka are somewhat like humanoid felines, but they definatly look more human than anything. They have lots of hair (on their heads I mean) and always have a tail. They don't have claws, but their natural skill and agility makes up for it. They also, of course, have long, feline-like ears.

Nerwahn: The alter-reality equivilant of elves. The have an average height of about 6 feet, and have abnormally long fingers and limbs. In some places they may have small patches of scales or spiky protrusions. They generaly keep to themsleves.

I haven't included any more, because the point of this story is to have you be creative and make your [I]own[/I] race. However, you cannot make some ultra-powerful, ultimate race, and stereo-typed races will not be appreciated.

[color=purple]Speaking of stereo-types, when you sign-up, you should keep in mind various personality stereo-types.
EX: excesivly angry, annoyingly happy (taken by my char.... so back off), chronicly depressed, etc.

Now, the big point of this story, is to...

1) have the story build up to the time when the scene desribed above takes place.

2) every char. for one reason or another must somehow need another char. in some way. Wether they need to kill them (rather not have that one), they need them to perform some kind of task, or they are desperatly in love, it doesn't matter. NOTE: I will alter my person's BIO when we have more people, so I can include this rule.

[/color]Now that you know that, I would like to say that I only want people who will be dedicated to this story... that maens you can't post once and then forget about it. If this story drops to the second page for more than two days, I'll have all your heads.

Age: 19

Gender: male

Race: Felnohka (NOTE: you can have a mix-race char.)

Appearance: Tall and skinny, deep green eyes (characteristic to a Felnohka) and light brown hair down a little past his shoulders. He has a leather vest, over a long dark-brown shirt, baggy, earth-tone pants. (and a tail by default)

Weapons: a double bladed sword, a.k.a. a pole with a blade on each end.

Magic: shape-shifting (NOTE: shape-shifting takes a big effort even for the most skilled shape-shifter)

BIO: Born in the forests of the North, and raised by an independent colony of hunter Felnohka. He always had a natural wonder of the outside world, and has only recently left the colony and explored regions a little farther south. Although he carries minimal provisions, he seems to make it quite well. He has noticed, that since he has started shape-shifting, his tail will disappear and reappear every so often.(short, but it will be longer when I get some one else to join)

Personality: Happy-go-lucky, and always smiling (that's a metaphor) it almost literaly takes a life threatening situation to get him down. He can almost never be serious, and is the kind of guy that will burst out laughing for a reason that no one else understands.

Name: Hubert Darrington

Age: 30

Gender: Male

Race: Hoathcarn

Appearence: Hoathcarns are a large(about 5'5), jolly race. They are people who the men always have full beards and very full bellies. They start balding early, though the balding is only on the top of his head, the hair on the side is white and frizzly. He wears a nice traveling suit. The coat is a dark grey, with a red jacket under. His pinstriped pant lead down to comfortable brown loafers. And his nose, of course, is extremely large.

Weapon: Though he usually tries to uses his charismatic way to stay out of trouble, he carries a very fine dagger and a great long-bow, both of which he acquired in trade.

Magic: He has no magic, but his voice is so soothing and convincing people usually believe it is magic.

Bio: Hubert was convieved and born in the large city of Kontanshu. His parents, William and Maryln, were both wealthy merchants. His race is a well liked one, so Hubert never had any conflicts with anyone but the green-skinned creatures. He took over the family stores when he became old enough to manage them. He worked mostly in the medicine stores, where he picked up the skills of first aid and alchemy. He also quite liked the looks of all the shiny weapons in the weapons shop. He gifted himself with a dagger from that shop, and a fine, high quality bow from the fletchery. He had a fine life, though too easy. He wanted to change that today, when he decided to take a very long walk.....

Personality: Bubbly, social butterfly. Though when he's conducting "business", he can act very shifty, looking for what will convince his "associate." In other words, very much like a used car salesman stereo-type.

Other: Waiting to find someone to connect to. Possibly a love story? Eh? Any takers?

Edit: Changed some elements, but general story remains unchanged. So if there are any more problems, FirePheonix, just PM me and I'll fix them.

Anyway, remember the rules guys... oh, and one side note, Felnohka don't have snouts or anything... they just have tails, more hair than usual, and catlike ears... that's your basic Felnohka, to avoid any confusion.

Name: Kyne Jall

Age: 29

Race: Felnohka

Appearance: Kyne is similar to the lepord type of feline and wears blackened steel battle armor. He is tall, about 7'2 and has green eyes. He also has large white fangs.

Weapons: he caries a staff, scimitar and falchion, all blackened steel.

Magic: Kyne specalizes with necromancy

Bio: Kyne was born in a small city of Flint. He was raised originally as a warrior, but then began to go into the arts of necromancy. Where he currently resides is unknown, but what is known is that blood will be spilled.

Personality: Kyne, like all necromancers, is slightly gothic and never says a word, but is capable of telepathy. He always like the feeling of death and constantly wants more (kinda creepy). He has a lighter side, but that side is rare.

Other: Kyne wants to cleanse the world of non-necromancers and will try to kill anyone who wishes

Hmm, I saw nothing in the recruitment post that said: NO FIREARMS!! And you posted it after I made my sign up, and you still yelled at me like I could know that you were wanting to firearms.

I see nothing in your character about needing another character, and I even asked for you to elaborate your explenation the whole "your character needs another". And by gods, man, I was the first person, other than you, to sign up, so I would not have a wide variety of people I would need. So if I don't need another person to go off of, you still needed to elaborate that it was an objective your character had to achieve. Sheesh.

And I was trying to put a creative character with your creative story. I was playing a non-physical merchant. I was going away from the whole really strong and can kill alot of stuff stero-type. Any ways, I never really see a gnome in anyplace.

So I will change my sign up some other time. Right now, I have to go. No hard feelings, and I won't abandon this for anything. Sorry if I yelled, also.

Ok, I was over-reacting.... but I try to make my sign-ups pretty clear... BTW, when did you ask for me to elaborate on the "need another" rule? Don't see any questions in your post. But oh well... I should lighten up huh.

PS: FYI, gnomes appear in practicaly evry RPG game or book or whatever there is... just to tell ya. Oh, and I do appreciate you trying to deviate from the norm :sweat: but sometimes, the norm is the best.

PPS: thanks for posting, Viper... kinda gruesom... oh, and please remember the "need some one else" rule also... though Radaghast has pointed out that there isn't much of a selection yet...

Name: Katana Weathers

Age: 18

Race: Howling (oh that sucked)

Apperence: The Howlings are like a wolf demon. The have long furry tails, furry ears, and fangs. Thier hair is usually long. Avarage around waist length. Thier fur color verys. They have super human speed and strength. Thier speed and strength is only about 30% higher then humans. Maybe a little bit higher. Katana has waist length grayish black hair, pith black fur, and greenish blue eyes. She wears a outfit similar to yoko kurama's, but it's shorter and it's black. She's about six foot.

Weapons: A sword that she wears at her side and the occasional throwing knife, that seems to apper out of nowhere.

Magic: SHAPE-SHIFTER (sorry, I've always loved shape-shifters)

Bio: Katana was rised by a human family, so she's peaceful unlike most of her race. Her adoptive father taught her how to use a sword at an early age. She's also a very skilled fighter. She never really wanted to leave her home, but she was told to go look for her birth parents. Katana is now a wonderer. She doesn't have a place to call home.

Personality: Katana is very kind. She can also be annoying at times. She loves little kids and will basicly anything for somebody she loves. It's very hard to get her spirits down. She'll laugh at the stupidest joke just to make the person who's telling it feel good about themself. She doesn't like to kill, but if its the only option left she will kill.

Other: Katana just needs one person to love her in her future. She doesn't want to be alone. (I love Love Stories ^_^)

OK, guys, I just wanna make one thing clear... this takes place in what we would consider the past, ya know, like Dungoens and Dragons ages. If you've never played or heard of Dungoens and Dragons then think about Lord of the Rings. So er, the only thing wrong with your post JoyKaiba, is that the clothes are a little too modern. I didn't PM you this becuase I think everyone should know for future reference... lol.

And one other alteration... I'm taking away the rule that says you must "need" another character... I've decided it's just a pain in the a... butt.

Hope that this is different enough for you.

Name: Khandol (can~dol)

Age: 13

Gender: Male

Race: Maradir (ma~ra~dear)[short 'a',e.g. 'cat' sound, not a llong 'ar' sourn)
The Maradir are a race of small, resonably humanoid creatures with greyish skin, long, wiery, four jointed arms, three jointed legs and long six-jointed fingers and toes. Their legs are folded up underneath them, alowing them to jump great distances. They have a ball-and-socket joint in their wrists. Posibly their most notible feature is their mouths, whick are surrounded by a group of 'tenticles' with bones, that point forwards like a beak and where traditionaly useed as primative tools and to catch perey while they leaped through the trees that their ancectors called home.

The Maradire now live on the ground both their own vilages and the citties of oter races, serving from shopkeapers and translators to message runners and pickpockets.

Maradir personalities are as varied as that of people's. Although thet do have a tendancy to be 'pranksters', not to make jests, but to test others reactions.

Appearance: most people think that one Maradir loks just like the next. The're right. Maradir disinguish between each other using scents to subtle for most races to pick up.

Khandol himself wears his grey hair in a top knot as an inverse to his 'beak'. He wears clothing of a dull green and brown and has amber eyes.

Weapons: A long dull dagger

Magic: ilusion and mind tricks.

BIO:Kandol grew up in the slums of a large citty with his clan. He has sreved most of his life as a pick pocket and errand runner for the local nobles. Whenever he comes close to being caught, he spins his ilusions and mind tricks to escape unharmed and unknown. He is growing tired of this simple life and now seaks adventure.

Personality: carefree, randomn, and with a love of money, Khandol is your stariotypical Maradir.
