Suggestion on .hack//SIGN forum

I've noticed lately that people are putting questions and topics on the ps2 games .hack//infection, mutation, and so on in the .hack//SIGN forum. I can not blame them for thinking that a .hack game should go in the .hack forum, so I would like propose the suggestion that the .hack//SIGN forum be changed into .hack Universe, so all topics regarding .hack//SIGN, the games, and .hack//LIMINALITY can be conversed in one place to avoid confusion.

I think it's probably fair to expect .hack//SIGN to be in the Series area, actually. When you consider that the majority of stuff related to it is now video games and manga...the anime plays a less central role (as with Pokemon).

So yeah. I agree. The only reason I'm reluctant to make the change is because I already have plans for the future of that forum on v7. For now, it's best to keep things as they are so that we don't create even more confusion over it.

And I don't think it's too complex to ask people to post about the games in the gaming areas. The .hack//SIGN forum is for .hack//SIGN. It's for the anime. All manga discussions and game discussions should be in their respective forums.

Yeah, you are right James, especially since it is titled .hack//SIGN and not Project .hack or .hack//GENERAL. :D However, it's getting harder and harder to discuss the validity and significance of the SIGN anime without incorporating video game story elements. It's great that you allow .hack//LIMINALITY to be discussed there, but again, there's a constraint because you just have to merge points of the game and anime to make sense of it all.

Also, consider the general nature of the video gaming forums. I can't recall any gaming thread about a video game's story. .hack's core is story (unfortunately, at the cost of gameplay), but the types of discussions that go on in the video game forums consist of gameplay and more "interactive" elements.

Besides, the .hack forum has been pretty quiet/inactive lately. This might breathe new life into it, you know?
