Pagan
Both of these things shocked me. I was amazed when I heard that Stone Temple Pilot seperated after making such a great song in The Suit That You Wear. I thought that they were a pretty close nit group and would stick together like the Rolling Stones or Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I almost died when they said Eminem was a racist. He is the last person I would believe to be one. He said some pretty bad stuff. WARNING EMINEM LYRICS!!!!
"And all the girls that I like to bone/Have the big butts, no they don't/ Cause I don't like that n**ger s**t/ I'm just here to make a bigger hit ... Blacks and whites they sometimes mix/But Black girls only want your money cause they're dumb chicks/So I'mma say like this/Don't date a Black girl, take it as a diss/if you want, but if you don't/I'mma tell you like this, I surely won't/Never date a black girl because Blacks only want your money/ and that s**t ain't funny ... Black girls and white girls just don't mix/Because Black girls are dumb and white girls are good chicks
THAT DOES NOT EXPRESS THE VIEWS OF HELLSFIRE IN ANYWAY Here is what he said afterward. "Ray Benzino, Dave Mays and The Source have had a vendetta against me, Shady Records, and our artists for a long time. The tape played today was something I made out of anger, stupidity, and frustration when I was a teenager. I'd just broken up with my girlfriend, who was African American, and I reacted like the angry, stupid kid I was. I hope people will take it for the foolishness that it was, not for what somebody is trying to make it today." What do you think about M&M. Would you for forgive him? Transtic Nerve
lol... he made it out of anger, stupidity, and frustration.... Everyone does something they regret out of anger... why is this any different?... Whether or not is what racist, well that pretty obvious, but whether or not it should matter... well it was a very long time ago...
vegeta rocker
I heard on the radio that he said that he was dating a black girl at the time and then they broke up. He was in high school come on man.
Semjaza
If you've actually read the rap, it's horrible. At least he has improved since then. I do find it ironic that many rap songs by black artists have slurs against whites and other races, but that's no big deal. Why is this so much different? I don't really get why anyone cares. In fact, most people I know who are into that culture and style of music don't even seem to care about this, regardless of race. Seems like one of those media problems more than anything else. satan665
STP has broken up tons of times, mostly because Scott Weiland is a huge crackhead. I don't mind though, they went downhill after their songs stopped starting with "I am". Seriously though, half of the songs on the first two albums (only good ones) started with "I am"
Queen Asuka
HOLD UP. I love STP. And all of their albums are good. Yes, the first two are the best, but the other ones definitely hold their own as well. As for them breaking up, it doesn't surprise me. Last I heard, Weiland was in prison again. He's still a very sexy man....*Stalks him* As for the Eminem thing, I was thinking that it probably had something to do with him dating a black girl before I read the rest of the post. Now that I see it was, I really don't see the big deal of it. He was mad, and when you're mad, you do crazy stuff. I draw or write in my diary to release tension. He wrote a rap. It's the same thing.
Eugi
None of these things surprise me. STP...the dude has been charged for drugs more times than my friends neighbours (who are basically drugs). A drugged lead singer isnt a thing a healthy band would want, becuse we have heard the stories of rock stars dying of drug overuse. So whatever, they thought about it or soemthing and broke up. Eminem is an idiot, period. He always makes excuses for the people to kiss his *** again but he never wins over the smarter people. He always makes excuses. One day: "I raped haily? no, thats not true, my dog raped her" the other: "i swear to god i was not the kid that slept with michael jackson, michael jackson slept with me!" again: "I really, REALLY didnt think nasty thoughts about Elton Jhon man...it was my wife! i swear, i got proof! *hands the authorities a cd he made in flash*" Thats eminem to me. So nothing surprises me. Sure he broke up with his african american girlfriend, but think about it M, you are a troubled little boy. STP breaking up sounds more bealivable now though...but neither of these things get to me :P
Manic Webb
Benzino is a middle-aged lack-luster rapper. He isn't very good, and his lack of fans reflects that. He just happens to write for the popular hip-hop magazine The Source, where he pushes his views onto readers. Benzino doesn't like Eminem for whatever reason, and The Source has been calling Eminem an overrated white rapper for quite some time. When The Source got ahold of some Eminem lyrics that are probably 10 years old, they jumped at the chance of calling Eminem a racist, to alienate him from his African-American fans. I've yet to meet anyone who cares. Anyone who was already an Eminem fan already knows that he writes all of his songs out of anger and stupidity, and he's almost never serious. Personally, i say race really shouldn't, if you don't acknowledge a difference if you want to get rid of racism! And for Eminem, i never cared much for his lyrics, but if he takes it back...whatever! All's cool...
Chichiri's Girl
Dude he said he was sorry. He wrote that when he was trying to get over a break up. It's not like he ever released it or anything. Besides freedom of speech right? Technically he can say anything he wants. And is messed up that you can say anything bad about whites but if you say anything bad about blacks you get shot down. Interesting isn't it? If anybody has the right to be mad it should be the girl he wrote that rap about. He regrets what he said so why can't you forgive him?
