Aidian had been swimming a little more closely towards his sword, whoever was watching him was obviously aiming to attack him while his guard was down, he knew his wings would cause some sort of lag if he jumped out of the water at full force, instead he slowly climbed out of the water, shook and fluffed his wings about and slipped his clothes back on, just as he was re-attatching his sword to his pants a large Orge/Troll or something burst out of the brush, it was as Aidian suspected, he sidestepped and unsheathed his sword extremely fast and at it at the ready in an instant, obviously this thing had no idea what he was messing with, he smirked and gripped the hilt of his sword with both hands and rustled his wings a little more, they were a little damp still but he had enough strength to fly with them that damp. As the creature charged forward this time Aidian took flight and landed gently on a tree branch a good fifty feet up, as soon as he landed he began to chuckle.

"Heh, you're giving me a great excercise, you do know that don't you?" This seemed to enrage the creature even more for he started to punch the tree which caused Aidian to lose his footing and caused him to take flight again but this time he landed behind the creature.

"Woowhoo, you looking for me?" Aidian gestured for the creature to come after him with his right arm and as if on cue like an actor in a play he charged, and like so many other actors Aidian sidestepped, stuck his foot out and the creature began to lose his balance but steadied himself just as he was looking down the point of Aidian's sword, he was no longer laughing or grinning, instead he had a cold serious aura about him and he looked ready to kill.

"Now, how about you tell me who you are and what you want with me before I drive my sword through your skull and walk away from this scene entirely, while the vultures pick your rotting flesh off your bones, sound like a good enough reason to start talking?"

OOC: Ack I'm really sorry about my absence...I was in london for a time and then I completely forgot.
------------------------------------------------------
Belial trod the beaten path before him, his wanderings leading him away from the plains he had espied and deep within a darkened forest. The ancient trees whispered to him of forgotten things, many wary of his demonic presence the very leaves themselves shrinking away from his touch. A soft smirk tuged at the corner of his mouth as glanced up at the sky through the twined branches. Darkened clouds began to spread upon the breeze, a cold wind stirring the long strands of his hair as he strode purposfully through the trees.

Resting a gloved hand upon a burly branch, Belial slowed to a halt as disturbed sounds clamoured near him. Inclining his head slightly Belial's smirk widened into a feral grin as the sounds of battle reached his ears. Following the warlike sounds he came to a small clearing, shaded by the bows of sturdy oaks. A soft chuckle escaped his lips, vibrating his chest as it rumbled. Stepping forward he peered into the clearing before him his dark eyes resting on the warring forms of two beings, one appearing to be an ogre of some kind. Resisting the urge to laugh out loud, Belial folded his arms and leant slightly against the trunk of an ancient oak behind him, it's whispered protests falling up deaf ears.

Immensly amused Belial watched from the shadows, his grey eyes dancing with delight. he couldn't have planned this better himself so he decided to sit back and watch the fun unravel before him.

I hope that makes up for it *grovels*

Sunlight filtered in through the dusty window, casting grotesque patterns on the floor. Iris opened her eyes and sat up. It wasn't long after dawn, so she had a little time to spare. She stood up and got dressed, gathered her belongings, and wrapped her cloak around her. She walked down the hall, and, judging from the groans resulting from their hangovers that night, she assumed that the others staying in the inn were waking as well.

The morning air was damp and cold, and the streets were shrouded in a light fog. Smoke was rising from chimneys as house fires were roused, and children could be heard begging to play outside. As she walked along the side of the road, however, a store caught her eye. It was a small little shop, and there were runes, magical runes, engraved in gold on the brown door. This was a Magic Shop.

Iris: "How odd. There's not many of these around. Strange it would be in this small town," she thought.

She pushed on the door. To her dismay, it was locked. Magically locked. There was no way that she would try a spell to unlock it; fooling with spells could get very....ugly. Instead she sighed and commited its location to memory. She would just visit later when she had nothing else to do. Then again, she could just wait until it opened....

With reluctant steps she continued on out of the village headed into the forest. After a while, maybe for about an hour or so, she heard some shuffling a bit ahead, and as she got closer she heard some voices, but whoever it was that was talking was still a good distance away. She drew her dagger and cautiously moved forward.

ooc: Hope you don't mind, Domon and Baron. :whoops:

[edit]gah! I was working on this post off and on for a while, so I didn't realize someone posted already when I submitted it. Sorry, doukeshi03!

Ruben grunted, nay, snickered of a sort. The low, deep bass rumble echoed around the clearing.

"You seem to have a... way with words, but the practicalities of the situation seem beyond your grasp...

if you think that toothpick is really going to cleave my skull, penetrate my chest, and provide fodder for the vultures, then think again. You may be fast, but I don't think you'll be able to damage me that much. And, who says I want to fight.. I'll even let you live if you have food"

Aidian scoffed "Hah... this toothpick of mine is sharp enough to split stone, let alone your skull. Any food I have is mine, and you'll not get a scrap, unless I deign to grant you some... fool"

"So, your toothpick is worth something good, according to your claims. Split stone? Figuratively or literally? Because, the best of the Granite Fold mountains stands before you. All I wanted was some food. My third day in the forest, no food. Regular outbreaks of madness as my mind is tormented... and you claim to wish to kill me? My name is Ruben H'Rukbane hailing from the Granite-Fold mountains. I murdered an official in L'Estwere and several soldiers as well, escaping into the woods. That was three days ago.. but may I ask what you are doing here, or will your spirit be the only one left to continue your journey?"

And then, as Ruben calmed himself, he felt it.. two small ripples in space, so small he hadn't felt them... one was something.. something evil. Dark, coloured like mist, or smoke. The other one was a yellow feeling, like butter... and they were both very near...

Aidian must have felt it too, as he glanced nervously around the clearing.....

"Interesting."

He approached the stone and poked it, grinning a bit.

"So this is where my stone went."

She gave him a questioning look, but he focused on the stone. Stepping foreward, the stone responded to his presence, giving off a slight aura.

"I... acquired this stone from an elven sorceress many years ago. It left me without warning to find a new owner, I suppose. Useful thing."

A large vial caught his eye to the right. It was full of a clear, still water. It had been opened and used a few times, a small portion of it missing. A label in ancient tongue worn and tattered from years of storage read "Holy Water". She followed his narrowing eyes to the vial and smiled sweetly.

"Strongest holy water on this continent I believe. Would you like me to try some on you?"

"No. That is alright, I am content in believing what you say."

"Are you sure?" She said, smirking amusedly.

"Quite." He said sternly, glancing to her and then back to the vial.

"Alright. Now that you have seen all of my items with mystical properties, let me get around to answering your last question.."

He turned and looked at her- he went back to looking emotionless, but he was quite curious in mind as to the answer of his question.

Belial quelled a sudden laugh as the banter of the two fighters reached him. Toothpicks indeed, what strange and amusing beings they were. Moving silently and fluidly behind the trees he kept his smokey eyes trained on the two, reaching his senses out to touch upon them and their anger.

A slight wind picked up from the south, stirring his hair and coat as it did the leaves on the ancient trees. Dark whispers surrounded him, like spirits upon the wind, coiling and twining about his person. Raising his hand slightly he held out his fingers as if to grasp lightly at some tangible being. Sniffing the air like a beast he tasted the essence that grew about him, an acrid odour, like sulphur permiating his senses. A base rumble erupted from his chest, a low chuckle that, had it been so, would have shook the earth with it's sound.

Exhaling a soft breath Belial started suddenly, a new presence reaching his thoughts. This one, this newcomer, spoke of purity and chastity, a white light shining in the darkest nights. Shuddering slightly Belial crept forward, his eyes now wary as they beheld this new soul.

OOC: Actually as I love to say, "The more the merrier." So don't edit deedlit, leave it! I can work with it.

Aidian looked about, whatever was going on around here wasn't natural, he flared his wings and took off into the air trying to see if he could get a better view, but all he saw was branches, just then he saw the troll/orge motioning for him to come down, Aidian did so but with his sword at the ready, as he brought his sword up a young man, clothed in leather and a broadsword at his side stepped out into the clearing.

"Who the hell are you?" Aidian said rather brashly, he wasn't too happy about seeing someone just appear out of nowhere.

"I have no need to fight you, put your sword at rest." Aidian still wouldn't, he kept his sword unsheathed and ready to strike, as he really didn't trust a lot of people who wore black, usually that meant something bad, really really bad.

His grey eyes sent chills down Aidian's spine, he knew this guy was bad news.

"What do you want?" The man simply grinned and kept his hands up.

"I merely want to join your group until you head for the next village." The man said, Aidian still didn't trust him.. Just as Aidian was about to put his sword down until he saw another person heading out into the clearing.

Johanas had spoken a good bit about his culture. Enough to keep Tr'shiel up anyways. The dark night had been a wonderful one depite the attack from a creature which she had never seen before.

She let her mind wander from that and bgan to hear a few more stories from Johanas. The places he had been the people he converted. She was happy for him, his cause and goals seemed to have been reached and yet he was going on for more.

Then she began to think of her own goals. And how they had not been so good. She remembered the disappointment in her mother's eyes when ash found out about him. The only one for her. Her lover, her mate, the only one she wanted to please.

"Please stop looking so down." Johanas had seen the change in her.

Starteled back from daydreaming... she looked up and glanced at the stars.

"Do you think I'll ever meet him again?"

Johanas thought for a moment, not wanting to be too quick with his comment. " I think anything is possible?"

She smiled once more her heart a little lighter now. Soon the two of them saw light reflecting off a lake, in the distance.

"I see water, we should refill out bottles here. And lookingat you, I'd say you haven't had a drink in a while."

Tr'shiel giggled a bit and nodded her head.

"You're right about that," she said smiling a bit. "Lets stop there and get a bit to drink....

Iris had been watching the draconian, the demon, and the troll hybrid for a few moments as she got closer to the clearing, but it seemed as if they were already aware of her presence. She was immediately intrigued by them, due to the fact that few had ever sensed her before she was already amongst them. They were either very skilled, very dangerous, or both. It was pointless to remain hidden, so she stepped out into the clearing, but not before checking that her dagger was loose in its sheath.

The draconian swiftly raised his sword as she emerged from the forest.

Aiden: "Who are you, and why were you spying on us?"

Iris held out her right hand, a gesture of amity, as she spoke.

Iris: "My name is Iris, and I wasn't spying. I was traveling through here when I heard voices speaking. You can't blame me for being cautious, can you?"

The group seemed to relax a bit, that is, except for the demon. His eyes were cold and heartless, his spirit dark and hellish, and Iris noticed that even the sunlight around him seemed dimmed. She shuddered involuntarily, but it was only for a moment and no one seemed to notice. It was at that moment when she heard footsteps coming in their direction.

Tr'shiel and Johanas had made it to the lake. She didn't look around her first before drinking from the water but Johanas stood there alert and aware of the people about 100 feet away. He reached down for her making her stand.

"It looks like other travelres have set up before us." He stared in their direction, Tr'shiel eyes soon looked over there as well.

She was a bit surprised to see three people there, but made no big deal out of it. But she didn't go down for more water just yet. She wished to know their motives and if they would attack if she was not on guard.

"Go ahead and drink Tr'shiel. I'll keep a look out." Johanas said.

"Uh-uh, let's make sure we're not tresspassing first." She began to walk forward speaking to the small group. "Hello, I hope we're not intruding but do you mind if we...."

She was within 50 feet and could see the figrues well. The draconian was the first to speak up interupting her speech.

"Stay where you are and state your business."

"Well personally sir, my business is mine own as yours is yours. But I wish to know if we may gather water from this lake."

The draconian, realized the lady meant no harm as she drew no weapon to defend herself.

"This lake is for everyone's use, go ahead."

Johanas still by her side handed her the water container, she quickly filled it ans stood back up.

"Do either of you know how far the town is from here..."

"You're looking for the town as well," the thin figure from behind now spoke up after Johanas' comment.

"Yes we are," Tr'shiel said upon seeing the fourth figure. " We are heading there now, hopefully we'll reach it soon.

The others all looked at each other, wondering what kinda of group they had happened to stumble upon.

"Well" said Ruben, glancing around "Isn't this a pretty little gathering..."

"Indeed" muttered the smokey man.

Ruben straightened up from his aggressive stance, stretching.

"About time for introductions don't you feel?" his voice rumbled around the clearing.

The new-comers spoke up first

"I'm Tr'shiel Zogaurd"

"And pray tell, what are you?"

"A siren, if it is any of your business"

Then spoke her companion, a massive hulking figure, "I am Johanas Milintarien, a priest of Ryn. I am a rengale"

Then the smokey-man " Just call me Belial... and you needn't know what I am."

"Not hard to guess" muttered Aidian, then coughed and introduced himself, "Greetings, my name is Aidian. I am a draconian and.. there isn't too much to say really. Sword for hire, if you happen to be interested"

Ruben turned towards the last remaning person to speak

"I'm Liiryis Tynthaan, but you can call me Iris. I'm an elf and... there isn't too much to say about me either..."

"And I'm Ruben Granite, and ogre troll mix. And this is a very interesting group..."

Aidian now spoke up " And would you all mind telling me why you are here, and where you are going... and whats going on."

Belial's fingers itched to take the elf before him, her aura hurting his eyes as he attempted to penerate her soul. Raisin his hand he ran his fingers through his dark hair in a nonchalant gesture, adjusting the hood of his grey tunic over his coat. Resting his hand on the broadsword at his side Belial looked at the draconian who had spoken towards him, his comment brash and disturbed. He approached Aidian slowly, his heavy booted feet crushing the grass as he walked. Inclinging his head slightly he raised a dark brow his lips curling in a slight smirk as he regarded the draconian before him.

"A what, exactly to you think I am..." His eyes wandered to the wings upon the man's back, folded neatly across his shoulders a small chuckle escaping from between barely pated lips. Lifting his hand from his sword he trailed his fingers down Aidian's cheek only to find his wrist caught in a strong grip as the draconian stared at him with hard eyes. Belial smiled mirthlessly, "have I offended you noble sir?" there was a small hint of mocking in his quiet voice.

Johanas rushed forward and easily seperated the two people.

Johanas- "Please... There's no need for this. Nobody needs to be harmed, especially when we've all met in such a beautiful place. Let's all start over." He held out his hand to Belial. The demon, for obviously he was, took Johanas' hand out of surprise rather than an act of atonement. A firm grip by both was broken by the Rengale. "Much better." He walked over to a tree and removed his hammer and parts of his armor. It was all rather heavy.

Liiryis- "What religion did you say you were a priest of?" He smiled, not surprised she didn't recognise it. It had only captured the attention of the worldly inhabitant in the last few years. And elves usually spent a good lot their life in schooling.

Johanas- "A priest of Ryn, m'lady. Ryn is the god of dreams. We worship him and dreams, for dreams are windows to the soul and can often be used to predict the future in those that have 'the touch'." Someone behind him snorted slightly, but he didn't pay any attention to it. He was used to scrutiny toward his beliefs. "If you would like to be told more, I would gladly read to you from the book of Ryn. But there was a question posed before. I am on a simple journey to spread the word of Ryn, which is why I'm headed to the town. My companion here is on a quest of her own, but I'm not the one to tell you about that."

Tr'shiel didn't speak to much to the group although she did note hor goreous Iris was. So much did Iris remind Tr'shiel of her mother that she had to keep turnig away. But there was a note to me seen, the ears.

She giggled slightly to herself before she stepped forward.

"Sorry if I seem so distant," she started. "I do not mean to offend in anyway but have been deep in thought for a while now, and I am growing very weary."

" I believe we are all that way," Ruben said. " But please tell us more about you....."

tr'shiel did not wish to tell her whole story just yet for she didnt know who to and who not to trust. So she skipped many of the details.

" I'm on my way to find one of my people," she held her head down and her voice lowered only a bit. "One whom I dearly care for."

The other saw she didn't really want to go into much more detail by ho she shrunk away a bit, sitting now on the gound, resting her now tired limbs. Everyone else stilll remained silent until she broke the ice...

"Who wishes to go next?"

Aidian could still feel that foul man's touch upon his face, his cheek felt numb and cold. His brown eyes flickered with some raging anger, he couldn't believe that man had the courage to touch him, Aidian's wings rustled slightly with his mood. As soon as Tr'shiel finished her story Aidian looked around the group and decided he might as well speak, though he did so as he slumped against a tree behind him.

"I'm Aidian, I have no memory of my childhood or parents, all I know is that I'm a Draconian and there are more of my kind on this planet." Everyone seemed to stare blankly at him for a moment and as it began to dawn upon them that he was done Iris spoke up.

"I'm sorry about your history Aidian. Anyways I shall tell you about my story." Aidian simply didn't want to listen, he flared his wings out and took up a sitting spot against an overhanging branch and kept a close eye on that black-clothed man, if he so much as posed a threat to Aidian he would kill him in an instant.

Seeing as Iris seemed a bit reluctant to begin her tale at this stage, Ruben stepped in instead.

"I was born in the Granite-Fold mountains. I was enlisted in Lord Mountebatten's army, however, army life didn't really suit me at all. I left, and began to think about becoming a guide. I passed a permit onto the Council, and I am currently waiting for affirmation. I don't think that is ever going to happen though, because a few days ago... well, no, further back than that, I started shifting shit at the city... but, to cut a long story short, I got annoyed. I killed my supervisor and left. In a hurry. After killing three soldiers. And here I am now. I... am normally quite calm, but lately... my mind feels fractured, and it hurts. And sometimes I see these.. strands, and they are screaming as they are blotted out. And I think these are doing it. But anyway, they make me angry... mad, out of my mind with rage. So, if you are willing to take the risk, stay in my company. If not... I'll leave and I'll.. I don't know. I don't know where this is heading. Maybe I'm going crazy..."

Then one of the others spoke up "....

Johanas has listened to Rubens story silently. When it ended he took the chance to try and help him.

Johanas- "...Are you sleeping well?" Everyone turned to him and looked with a questioning eye.

Ruben- "Ummm... No, not really. When I do, it's usually short sleep. Dreamless." Johanas chuckled slightly. "What?"

Johanas- "Unknown to most people is that there isn't a sleep in the world that is dreamless. Everyone dreams. It's just that sometimes your mind chooses to supress the dreams, for whatever reason. Maybe your mind thinks, subconciously that it would be harmful to you. But everytime you sleep, you dream." He focused his glowing eyes on Ruben. "I might be able to help you make sence of your dreams, and therefore your problem. The only thing that I can think of that might give me problems are the An-Khef." He saw everyones puzzled expressions. Everyone, that is, except for the demon. He was smirking slightly. "I'm sure sai-Beial could do a much better explanation than I could," he recieved an icy look from Belial, completely contradictory to the smirk that was there before, "but I guess mine will do fine.

Johanas- "The An-Khef are demons of the deep mind. They sometimes manifest themselves in dreams, making them nightmares. Less often, you see them in the real world. People that are insane or have two people in one mind have been touched outwardly by the An-Khef. The demons failed to be restrained in the inner parts of the mind. Everyones subconcious stronghold." He took a deep breath looing from one face to another before turning back to Ruben. "I'm equipped to handle the An-Khef if I encounter them, but I'm worried if they 'touch' you. The risk is well worth taking to find the root of your problem, but it's your decision. Ryn does not force his practices on people."

Iris listened to Johanas' explanation with interest. She wanted to hear more about this Ryn and his dreams, and she made a mental note to herself to ask him later on. Ruben was pondering on what Johanas said, and several minutes passed by without an answer. Johanas smiled kindly.

Johanas: "Take your time thinking about it. In the mean time, would you mind telling us your story, Iris?"

Iris: "There's not much to say about me. I graduated from the School of Sorcery and Magicks about a year ago, and I am now searching for my twin brother Teryn, which is why I'm travelling to the next town."

Tr'shiel: "Is your brother a mage too?"

Iris: "No. He was sent away when we were little to become a warrior. I have no idea where he went, and I haven't heard anything about him, but I have to start looking somewhere."

Now that Iris had finished, everyone turned to the only remaining person. Belial seemed not to notice and casually leaned against a tree, leaving the group silently waiting.

Raising a dark brow Belial silently examined the dirt under his fingernails, a bored expression veiling his face. Such boring life stories these beings had, what compelled them to tell complete strangers all of their lives bemused him. Glancing eskance at the entourage he sighed, finding them all staring at him expectantly. Shifting slightly he leant his back against the tree, his smokey grey eyes shifting like deep, dark pools.

"You need not know who I am...and I doubt many of you would appreciate the knowledge even if I gave it to you." He smirked slightly at Aidian, scratching the back of his head absently as he spoke. Looking at Johanas he noded his head. "I know the creatures of which you speak, though such lowley creatures are beneath me." The boredom had not left his voice and he closed his eyes as he leant his head back against the trunk, folding his arms across his broad chest.

Aidian definetly had a bad feeling after the black-clothed man spoke about the An-Khef, there it was. The man had a black aura about him, or it was just some kind of bad feeling Aidian got, he could feel an icy-cold finger running down his back that made him shiver. The young Draconian locked his dark brown eyes onto the man below him, he had to be some sort of hellspawn or something of that calibur, of course Aidian had no idea about the levels of hell or anything like that.

The sun was begining to set and the forest was darkening, Aidian unfurled his wings and glided down and seemed to hover right before he touched the ground.

"I think we should leave, its getting dark, I would prefer to be on the road rather than in this forest." Some of the group nodded and some grumbled, Belial simply smirked and pushed off from the tree effortlessly, Aidian then simply landed and relaxed his wings, he decided he should walk for now, his wings were tired and he didn't feel like flying right now.

As the group began to exit the forest Aidian glanced back at Belial, thank goodness they were leaving the forest, this man seemed to literally blend in with the surrounding darkness. Aidian still didn't trust Belial.

His gloved hands were clenched firmly in the pockets of his leather coat as he wandered along with the group. His dark hair hung about his face, casting dark shadows across his features. His booted feet crunched heavily into the dirt track they were following, heading towards the nearest road. Trees rose up about them on either side, furtive shadows watching them with malicious gazes.

So...now he found himself with companions. Glancing around at those he travelled with he made a soft noise of exasperation. What a group they were indeed. Punting at a stone with his toe he watched it skitter across the mud and disappear into some long grass. Catching the wary gaze thrown his way by Aidian he grinned ferally, winking towards the draconian and waving slightly. Aidian turned away quickly, keeping his eyes on the road. He reminded Belial of the angels that he used to associate with so much and this interested him.

She was purring deep in her throat, and he was giving her the look that clearly stated ".....answer the question.....for the love of-"

"Well it's quite simple really...."

"Yes?!?"

"I get bored."

If he had known any better, he would've let his jaw drop to the floor. Instead he cleared his throat half heartedly and looked at her. She was circling him, this time looking far more like a goddess than a simple forest guardian. He glanced into her eyes, which were snapping and sparking playfully. Much like a child's...only difference was the grin that accompanied it.

"...lame I suppose. But seeing as how you're in my territory to begin with....and you're not going to eat me until someone pays you....I see very little threat. That and you have absolutely nothing to gain by killing me right now."

"Do you like sex?"

As the group pulled away from the lake, Tr'shiel caught up with Iris and Johanas, who were now talking to each other. She stayed with them mostly for she knew not how to break the ice with the other three.

In her eyes Aidian, Ruben and Belial seemed to be loners, they really didn't like to speak with others but when the time cme they could. For now she held this thought in her mind, and hopefully ad their travels continued she hoped that she would be able to converse with them as well.

He r mind once again come back to Iris and Johanas how were wrapping up their conversation about Ryn. Johanas was very happy to meet another with whom he could talk to, and Iris was also as relieved to have a group of companions with whom she could also speak.

Soon Tr'shiel began to speak to Iris.

"It seems we are after the same goals."

"How do you mean?" Iris looked at her, as well as Johanas.

"We are both trying to find a loved one." Tr'shiel said slowly not trying to open up too much in the first conversation.

"Yes, and I have not seen him for some time now, I cannot wait to see him once more."

"And I agree with you." She put her head down for a moment, then looked back at Tr'sheil. "You remind me so much of my people, the hairs a bit dark, but the face and skin, could be a perfect match."

"Well who knows, our races may have once been very close in the past." Iris said smiling at Tr'shiel.

"Yes, you are right, that is a thought to fancy."

The symbols of their faith were resting on the carved tabletop. Their Father, standing in his vestements, waiting patiently for the words to end, had a look of both rapture and pain on his face. The answeres would be forthcoming, he was sure of it. Just give their Faceless God a chance to respond, and the unthinkable would happen. The visions that had grown so dim with a slacking of faith, would solidify and give them all the Truth. The Truth that manifested itself every so often in the form of people. Places. And even inanimate objects. hence, the symbols of their faith.

A carved golden bell, fashioned to resemble a flying bird, with its wings outstretched. An open book, its pages filled with red calligraphy. The scriptures. Held sacred and valued most highly. And on the right side of the book, in a gilded golden holder, was a large ornate candle. It burned slowly, tallow refusing to melt under the intense heat of the silver flame. The Father Superior rested his hands on the worn table top and looked out over his Brethren. They waited for him to give the signal. As the sunlight faded at last, filling the room with a red gold glow from the windows, he raised both hands up.

The voices died away instantly, and he smiled.

"....let it begin. .....to Him be the glory, power, and honor."

"He is the same Yesterday, Today, and Forever."

"Amen."

"Amen."
