(Karanlik stood back, letting Mika fight)

Karanlik: (Thinking) Why did that happen? I didn't do that. Why did it happen? I'd definately know if that thing that was there when I found these was back, and it's not, so why did that happen? If they weren't mine, I wouldn't have been able to pick them up, so I know that they're mine, just like they were my father's. Wait. Of course. He found them when he was being controlled by that... that thing that was inside him. The light crystal got rid of it, but maybe the Arigias still have a part of it in them. No, he used the light crystal. He put it in a slot. Wait. He put it in a slot on one pole. Each pole has five slots. There might be some of that thing left in the other pole. I need to find the light crystal, and fast. But first, Mika and I have to deal with Shiro. (He rejoins the fight.)

OOC: I was refering to the 'no powers work inside this zone' thingy as the ring and I was refering to the extra crystals on your weapons that where created by the Arigias. But I made it so that it had no practical bearing on the upcoming combat.

Lrb, have you been reading skeddy's posts? he has the crystal and the weapon at the moment. And from the amount (and quality) of storytelling he's done before he's gotten it (and he still can't use it), he has earned that weapon more than any fo us have.

Shanga clenched her jaw and charged straight at her coppy, fists raised. Her metal fists glinted in the sunlight as she reached her 'reflection'. Her reflection struck back; neither landing a blow. They where as equaly matched as she had been with Austin in the figt that happened not a day before.

It was odd to think that? *oof* Shanga flew accros the hilside and pommeled into the smow. She glaired at the coppy as it ran towars her. She had let herself fall into thaught when she should anve been in action.

She watched her self running towards herself and waited untill the final moment before she leapt up and smashed her coppy in the jaw.

Shankúl watched as one of the Shangas fell to the ground, her neck snapping on a jutting peice of rock. For the first time in his life he hoped that the real one was unhurt. But there was no time for such thaughts now.

He turned back to his own coppy and recommenced the fight. They where both srevearly weakend by the glairing sunlight. But they faught on, dagger for dagger?

Shanga looked at the shatterd rmains of her coppy, glinting in the sinlight like a milion shards of mirror. Suddenly she realised her own mortality. If this version of her could die so easily, then she could die just as easily. She sat staring at the shards of glass that where all that remained of the rapidly deteriorating boddy of her coppy, ignorant of all that went on arround her.

She saw something moveing in the fiew shards that remained on the ground. She looked up, starteld, expecting to see a dragon. Instead she saw, in the distance, the other half of their group flying towards the Windy Plains.

Yes, Athen already has the crystal and your weapon. If Okhami decides to let you change the glaive to a bow then that is what Athen has wrapped in the vines.

The Talen copy stood in the doorway, blocking Angel from the tower, an insane smirk had creped onto his face. The original Talen stood behind the pair and prepared himself for an opportunity to cripple Angel.

?Think we?re all powerful do we now?? The Talen copy replied, still smirking. Angel just smiled in return, sure that the young man in front of her posed no threat.

Athen had finally found another small owl after several minutes of searching the plains. As he replaced it?s mind the youth was trying to decide whether to go after Shiro or meet back up with the other corrupts. Still unsure he took flight. Spotting the half of his group that did not contain Shankul (OOC: Sorry forgot the other character?s names, its been so damn long since they posted.) Athen moved back towards the mountain?

?Well nothing?s unique here, even you.? Talen?s copy smirked at Angel. The smile quickly faded from the young woman?s face as Angel watched herself step out of the doorway, touching the Talen copy?s arm in reassurance as she did.

The original Angel quickly recomposed herself and sent a massive blast of energy at the copy. Both Talen?s dived out of the way as the bottom half of the glass tower exploded, showering glass shards everywhere, Angel?s copy responded with nothing more than a smile. Angel paused in disbelief before quickly diving out of the way of an identical blast, this one disappearing down a nearby street.

As Talen whirled against Talen and Shanga pounced towards Shanga Shankul stood watching the surreal scene before him. Shanga?s copy was equal to her in everyway; it was Talen?s copy that was different, more powerful than the real thing. Figuring it was that the weapons he had seen the Talen copy carrying were the reason for the difference Shankul dived forward to help Shanga, the sooner there was less of these copies the better.

The real Angel flew through a glass wall on the opposite side of the street to the tower; the copy had revealed its version of the original?s weapons, the legendary version. Talen looked over as the copy advance towards the half collapsed building. When the real Angel hit the glass several cuts appeared along the copy?s face. Talen noticed these scratches on the real Angel as she remerged from the hole, realizing that the two were connected Talen stopped.

A massive black dragon swooped down towards Angel, ready to fend off the copy, only to be met by a second dragon. The animal guardian had met with its copy; the ancient beasts began their own somersaulting combat in the sky above the city.

?Giving up already?? The Talen copy said slightly amused as the original stopped dead. With a look of curiosity on his face the real Talen held out his hand and slid a dagger across it, a thick trail of blood followed. The copy Talen cried out surprised and dropped one of the daggers from his hand as his body copied the cut. The real Talen rolled quickly forward and snatched the weapon up off the ground. Now both youths possessed one of the legendary daggers, they were equal?

"Something has lefted the forest." Asa soft voice echoed in the jail. Austin knew that a corrupt had gotten the crystal of the forest. Anger built up inside of him.

"They have it....." his voice echoed in their cells.
"Man if we didn't get stuck in these cells!" Matt said loudly. Austin bursted, and he stood up. He ran to the oak door, and slammed his fist on it. He felt a small amount of pain, but the door fell to the floor with a large crash. The two elven gaurds stood up quickly to attack, but they flew back to the stone wall. He slammed his fist on the oak door that belonged to the cell that was nexted to his. It fell, and he rushed in to untied Matt. He really losened the rope around his wrists, and ran out to the next two cells and broke down their doors. He losened the last of his team mate's ropes, and grabbed his weapons. The others took their's.

Austin opened the door to fine stone walls. He had tried to remembered the way the had entered, and the walked in the cold halls of the elven castle. They came to the large oak doors, and Austin climbbed the stone stairs to the look out. The elven knight took out a small dagger before Austin could raise his hammer, and slashed him with it. He felt the pain of his muscle being cut, and the warmth of the blood rushing out of his arm. He cleched in pain, and his hammer knocked the elven warrior of the stairs. He rushed up them, and opened the large oak doors. He rushed down the stairs, and joined them outside. He could still feel the pain of his arm.

"Was that your plan?" Matt asked. Austin and him knew it didn't go smooth, looking at his arm.
"No...." he said. He felt weaker because of the large amount of blood exiting out of his body.
"Let me see your arm." Asa told him. He put it out, and flenched in pain. She touched it, and a glow came from her hands. He could feel his vains and muscles mend, but still felt tired,"You'll be fine in a few days. You have lost alot of blood."

Asa's dog came from the bushes, and rushed torwards her. She happily picked the dog up, and he licked her face. Austin smiled, and they went on.

"So where do we go next?" Rokuki asked. Austin thought hard. If they went back to the base, they wouldn't be of any help. If they could help the other group, they would be of some help.
"There is alot of people in Mirror City." Asa said. He pulled out his Cellcom, and looked on the map. It was not that close, but they could get there fast because of Rokuki.

"Fine, we go there." Matt said cheerfully. Austin blinked at him, and looked at the tree tops.
"Okay oh great leader." he said. He looked back at Matt, and he blinked. He know what he ment, and smiled.

OCC: There Lrb, happy leadership ^_^)
P.S:Stick Fairy sorry if your dog isn't small. I'll check....

Ryo ran down the hill. He kept running he put the sword to his back and it stuck there. He kept running to mirror city. He started to walk when he was a mile from it. He walked slowly stepped slowly. He brought out his celcom and he opened it and saw two people in mirror city.

"Angel" he muttered and he grabbed his sword and walked toward the city sneaking around the castle has saw they each had a dagger. Tallen jumped at Angel striking it would have hit her in the heart but Ryo struck cutting of his hand. He screamed in agony as he fell to the ground.

"Angel grab that!" Ryo pointed to the dagger still being held onto by the hand.

Talen almost fell over with joy, Ryo the fool had severed the hand of his copy and left the second dagger undefended. Rushing forward to retrieve the dagger Talen slipped on the smooth surface of the street and fell.

Standing up the copy looked back towards Talen, focusing on his hand. Standing motionless in it watched as shards of glass began to form another hand, growing out of the stump quickly before taking the correct shape. Next he looked down at the dagger, the smirk on the original Talen?s face quickly disappeared. Angel had moved away, continuing to combat her other half, Ryo however was still standing with in arms reach of the dagger. Seeing what was about to happen he dived for it, he never touched the ground.

Half way through his dive Angel?s copy appeared seemingly from nowhere and swatted Ryo through the wall of a nearby building. She looked towards the Talens before quickly spinning around to fend off a blast from Angel.

Both Talen?s dived for the dagger, both were equally far, both hit the ground at the same time. There they lay, each with one hand on the legendary weapon. Talen glared back at himself as he raised the first dagger, his reflection quickly turned to surprise as he severed his copy?s hand. Standing up triumphant Talen twirled both his daggers, finally ready to defeat himself.

Athen dropped slowly into Mirror City, careful to avoid the pair of massive black dragons tearing apart the sky as they fought. Exiting the owl?s body not far from the ground the youth was surprised to see doubles of everyone. There were two Ryos fighting off to one side, two Shanga?s, one being supported by Shankul, and two Talen?s, one appeared to have a distinct advantage over the other as he twirled two elegant blades.

Athen was overjoyed to see Angel fly through a glass wall not far from his head; another Angel followed her. The second appeared to have the legendary weapon. Deciding it was not a good idea to get caught in amongst the duelling pairs Athen jogged over to the owl?s body and slid back inside, it was still fresh enough for him to use, and fled the bizarre scene.

Despite having both of the daggers Talen was having trouble with his copy. They both knew what the other was going to do next, and exactly how to counter it. Talen rolled out of the way, slashing at his reflection?s feet. The copy blocked perfectly before slashing back.

Talen flipped up off the ground, bringing a dagger around level with his opposite?s head. Metal rang as he was blocked again. The copy flung himself up over Talen?s head, blocking the real one?s attack as he did. Landing the Talen copy brought its second dagger around for another attack and stopped dead.

Athen was standing just past the fake Talen; his scythe had just slid out the other side of the copy?s body. The upper half of the Talen copy slid to the ground, the whole thing then crumbled into a pile of glass.

?Thought you could use some help.? Athen smiled at Talen.

?Thanks, but I thought you weren?t coming back until you got your weapon.? Talen responded noticing the bland looking scythe that he was used to seeing Athen carry. Talen bent down and collected the Copy crystal from the ground, allowing it to pull itself into his sphere.

?Shiro is in trouble, he needs our help.? Athen said sincerely. ?We have to move quickly, before Angel defeats herself and we have to deal with the winner.? Athen began to move towards the edge of the city.

?What about the others?? Talen looked over at Shankul and Shanga.

?There?s no time.? Athen grabbed Talen?s arm and started to sprint towards Shiro and the others. Talen followed without another objection.

The real Athen was flying quickly away from the city. Angel had been bad enough the first time he met with her, worse still there were two of them now. Deciding that he would be safest with Shiro Athen landed in a nearby outcropping and discarded the owl?s body. He then looked for Shiro?s location with his Omnilink before going after yet another innocent bird?

OOC: Well, it appears that K.K.C. doesn't want to participate in a brawl with me. Oh well, I guess I'll have to move on.

IC: There was a deep rumbling inside the mountain. Fountains of lava spewed out of the lake below. The volcano was about to erupt. In all of the commotion, Kai dropped the crystal she was holding and Lou quickly seized it.

He knew that the fight would have to occur another time and place. He placed the sword he named Barghest into the sheath on his back and rocketed out of the top of the mountain. As he glanced back, he saw a small flash before the volcano exploded into an ashen cloud. Kai had gotten away safely.

His newfound power from the crystal had sent him flying farther and faster than he expected. He pulled the Omnilink out of his pocket and opened it. He used the device to locate his teammates. He noticed them moving away from Mirror City which was only a couple of miles away from his current location. He decided to check it out.

"What the fuh-..." he said in disbelief as he witnessed two gigantic dragons going after each other like ravenous dogs. He floated for a moment in midair and considered what he should do.

"Well," he thought, "If this is what they were running from, I guess I can take care of it with Barghest." he looked over his shoulder. He shot towards the brawling beasts and drew the blade. He zoomed so quickly that they didnt even notice his presence. As he neared one of the monsters, he noticed that they were identical. "Makes sense. Mirror City." he said to himself.

He zipped past the dragon with lightning speed and severed it's head with one slice. Both pieces fell to the ground and landed with a thunderous boom. When it hit, he noticed something else was strange. The dead beast moved. In fact, it stood up. The head lying on the ground was absorbed by the street, and its shoulders writhed with a strange glassy substance. It grew and grew until it formed a brand new head.

The dragon let out a horrible roar and, with a mighty gust of wind from its wings, shot skyward. "Ah, Hell no!" Lou said aloud as he blasted away with a flash of fire and let the two dragons deal with each other.

He pulled the OmniLink out of his pocket once more to examine its contents. It told that his group was only a short distance away and he would meet them in a few minutes. He pressed several colored buttons on his communicator and talked into it. "Shanga, Shankul, Talen. You there?"

"Yeah." Talen replied "Athen's here too."

"Alright." Lou said "I'll be on your posistion in a minute so I'm just givin' you a heads up."

"Aight." one of them said...

OOC: Sorry if I'm posting too much too often but I'm bored and have nothing better to do.
--------------------------

The massive black dragon soared back into the air. Apparently a severed head was not enough to kill it. Talen figured the copies could only be killed by having more than half of their bodies severely damaged, after he had seen his double killed by Athen. Talen turned away from the city and continued to sprint down the mountain, towards Atlantis.

Shankul turned away from Shanga?s fight to watch Talen leave with Athen; he turned to continue to assist his friend only to be confronted with his double. Apparently a snapped neck was not enough to kill these things.

Talen ran with Athen down the rocky slope of the mountain, Mirror city had disappeared over the mountains crest and the hellish glow of lava began advancing down the mountain?s uneven slopes. Talen was having trouble breathing as ash filled the air around them.

?Hurry, this way.? Seeing that Talen was having trouble with the ash in the air Athen decided to take an underground route to Atlantis, the entrance wasn?t much further. As the pair approached the tunnel entrance Talen began to question Athen?s knowledge of the area.

?How do you know the way to Atlantis, I mean you haven?t looked at your Omnilink once.? Talen pressed.

?I studied the map while I was away, this route is a simple one to remember.? Athen replied?

Athen, the real Athen, had given up trying to find another bird and had begun to walk to Shiro?s location. Not very good with maps he kept his Omnilink out constantly, slowly but steadily making progress towards Atlantis, towards Shiro and the Einlizers. Keeping his eye out for another animal, even a wolf was faster than his human form.

As he continued the long trek Athen began to doubt Shiro?s intentions. He had not once seen the young man show any interest in the small group of corrupts. As he turned this thought in his head Athen spotted something even more disturbing on the Omnilink?s small, dimly lit screen.

When he had flown to Mirror City Athen had seen two of all the sphere holders there, and a double of a massive black dragon, which he figured must have been the other group?s guardian animal as he had witnessed Shiro slay the last. The Omnilink confirmed everything he had seen. There were two Shankuls, two Shangas, two Angels and until recently two Talens. Most disturbing of all however was the appearance of two of him.

As Athen watched the Omnilink he saw two of the small colored blips move away from Mirror City. One was Talen?s the other was his, both of them were moving towards Shiro?s blip. Realizing that when he entered the city a double of himself must have been created and was now leading Talen to some unknown fate. Maybe it wasn?t even the real Talen, the double might have succeeded and now the two were pursuing their own goals. Athen hurried his step, continuing his search for another animal more frantically now?

Angel walked towards her double and looked to her. The dragons fought above head. She smirked and got close. Her double flipped herself up and stood before Angel in a fighting stance. Smirking, Angel did as well. Her double had a Sun & Moon ring attached to her back and on her back were the legendary sais attached to the katanas sheath.

Angel reached back and unsheathed her two sais from their place. She then arched her back and extened her right leg forward until it looked as if she was doing frontal splits. She brought her arms together to make a round shape in front of her chest.

The Angel Double smirked and took out her sais, the legendary ones. Never having seen the stance Angel took, she took her own. She extended her right leg, keeping her left leg a little back and she bent her left leg. She raised her arms and kept the left behind her head with the sais in her hands, pointed tip facing towards Angel.

Angel smiled deviously towards the Angel Double and spoke her stance.

"Kannazuki. Godless Moon/Stab stance. Are you ready to defend yourself, Double?" Angel smirked and was ready to leap at first sight of movement.

DANgel smirked and spoke. "Always. Question is, are you?"

Angel's eyes were fixated on DAngel. She knew that at any moment, DAngel would move and she needed to be ready. "I am ready to take on whatever surprise you bring."

"Good. Then get ready for this!" At the last moment, DAngel bent her right left towards her body and leapt off of her left. "I WILL WIN!"

DAngel leapt towards Angel with her sais pointed towards her. Angel waited for the right moment before leaping. Once close, Angel sweeped her legs around in the air, as if she was doing the wind-mill (a breakdancing move). In the moment, Angel knocked one of DAngel's sais to the ground.

DAngel landed on her hands and flipped so that she was facing Angel. Angel stood on her feet and looked to DAngel as well. After a moment of silence and gaze, DAngel jabbed her with her single sai, but was blocked by Angel's two sais. With that, they were stuck between the two sais and Angel had the ability to keep balance as she brought her right leg to DAngel's right leg. She fell to the ground and the second sai flew a few feet from distance.

Angel stood before DAngel and she cut DAngel's face and was quickly brought upon two scars on her face as well. She quickly sheathed her sais and brought one of her katanas out. She cut through the air and brought the blade to DAngel's throat. She gulped quickly.

"Any last words?"

DAngel said nothing and did nothing. Angel then twirled it before she stabbed it through the stomach of DAngel.

A gasp came before the copy and then the copy layed on the ground motionless. Angel took her blade out and looked to the blood, it quickly was absorbed by the hilt and it was sheathed. Angel looked to the sais that layed on the ground and she walked to them. She grabbed the two and looked to it.

Shankúl and his double fled from each other, neither could win in this bright light. As Shankúl ran out of the citty, he saw Shanga standing mute and resolute in the middle of the open ground outside the citty?

Shanga looken arround the small room that she now found herself in, her mind raced. she had been trying to escape from the molten mirror that had been flowing up arround her? then she had found herself here.

It was a small, unremarkable room made of concrete. There where no doors, no windows. She tried to break a rift in the wall, but found that it didn't respond to her efforts.

"Well, well, well. look who's stuck in here"

She looked arround for the sauce of the voice but found nothing.

"It looks like I'm in controll of this boddy now." The voice that echoed through the small room was her own voice?

Shankúl watched as Shanga opened her eyes and looked arround. She smiled.

She took one look at him and started walking back towarsd the Dirt Tunnel.

"Are you coming or not?"

Shankúl followed her reluctantly. Something wasen't quite right. He glanced at his Omnilink. There was only one brown dot?

Lou landed a distance away from the battling dragons and looked back. "Damn, what the hell is going on around here?" He took out his OmniLink to find his teammates. There was something wrong. "There's more than one dot for each of 'em."

He walked closer to the city and finally reached it. He kept glancing at his OmniLink to see where he was going. When he looked down again to get his bearings, he saw a flashing red dot. "Looks like Kai wants to restart our little scuffle." he laughed to himself. He kept walking until the quickly moving red dot met with his on the small screen of his map.

He looked up expecting to see a girl with her sword drawn. Instead he found a young man standing in front of him. It was himself. He jumped in surprise. "Well, two dragons, two dots per person, two me's." his doppelganger looked at him. "Well, let's get it on."

Lou drew Barghest and DLou drew his sword. It wasn't another Barghest, but it was his original sword. Lou could only assume that this had something to do with the crystals and the Legendary Weapons.

Lou, wanting to test this copy's power, replaced Barghest in his sheath and pulled his old sword from his belt. In the same instant, both leapt forward and a loud clang echoed off of the reflective buildings. CLANG, CLANG, CLANG. The swords sparked when they met. DLou swung from up high and Lou blocked easily. His eyes were on DLou's face when they should have been watching the rest of his body. DLou swept his leg across and knocked Lou to the ground. When he slipped, he received a long scratch down his right arm.

When he jumped to his feet, he witnessed and long cut appear on DLou's arm in the same place. Lou looked at his own arm and laughed. He took his sword and pulled it across his own leg and DLou collapsed on the ground. Lou limped towards himself and swung his blade. DLou tried to block with his bare arm but it was severed along with his head. The head rolled across the street and only stopped when it hit the side of the building.

The building seemed to absorb his head. The arm that lay on the ground was picked up by the headless body lying on the ground.
"Damn it!!" he cursed, "It didn't work for the dragon. So, why did I think it would work for me?" He continued to curse at himself for his moment of brief stupidity and waited for the other him to reassemble himself.

After several minutes of bouts that always ended up with Lou cutting of various limbs of his opponent, he considered running away. But then he thought that if this copy really was like him, that he would be hunted down until he was killed. He finally pulled out Barghest.

He wielded the sword with pinpoint accuracy as he sliced his doppelganger?s head off. Once again, it regrew with its glassy substance. This was beginning to anger him. His blonde hair was beginning to flow into flames. But it wasn't the same as when he changed in the first battle with the Uncorrupts.

His hair burned with blue flame. His eyes were mixed with bright white, deep sapphire, and brilliant yellow flame. His hands and feet were also consumed by fire and he floated a few feet off of the ground. This new power was greater than he ever had hoped.

Lou's copy, standing approximately twenty meters from where he was, just finished regrowing its head and its right leg. The mirror image stood almost frozen with what seemed to be fear. Whatever fear could be shown by only a copy of a person. Lou sped forward with Barghest roaring in a blaze. The flame trapped inside the sword was released with a deafening howl.

Lou pointed the tip of the blade at DLou and sent out a spray of blinding white fire at him. This flame enveloped him and he screamed in pain. Lou then touched down to the ground, hopped up into the air, executed a front flip and once again cut his duplicate in half.

The effects were not as they had turned out before. DLou was melting. The bubbling mass of a human form was almost sickening. Then something else happened. It looked as though the replica was reforming once again. The shiny structure of the person was returning to normal. Lou was expecting to have to fight again.

Once the fake had reconstituted, Lou pulled his sword back again, ready to attack. But he didn't need to. DLou stood absolutely still. After a moment, his form turned into fine white sand. The pile of dust on the street just sat there. Lou walked over, picked up a handful and let it fall to the wind.

His appearance returned to normal as he took to the streets once more. He pulled out his OmniLink and pressed the black, brown, fuchsia and teal dots. All of them answered at once.

"I assume you all had the same problem I did with the copies of yourself."

"Yeah." Shanga answered. "So what?"

"I found the solution to killing them." he revealed, "If you're still having problems."

"Tell us! Tell us now!" Shankul skittered anxiously.

"The key it to use your Legendary Weapon and your Element at the same time." he told. "It turns 'em into sand, or somethin'."

"OK, good." replied Talen.

"I will be on the outside of the west end of the city when you all are finished so we can get the next crystal. I'm out." Lou put his OmniLink back into his pocket and walked out of town...

OOC: Talen and Athen both have their crystals now, along with their weapons. If anyone gets confused about this post just PMe it seems like it could be awfully hard to follow.
------------------------------------------------------

Talen glanced down at the Omnilink as Athen continued to urge him along the narrow underground passage. The pair had almost reached Shiro?s blip, unfortunately Mika?s marker was also in the same place.

?Why is it so important that we find Shiro?? Talen tried to work out Athen?s reasoning as he jogged. A feeling of dread filled his stomach as he saw a second pink blip reappear back in Mirror City; Athen hadn?t managed to kill his double after all. ?Shouldn?t we deal with our doubles first??

?There will be time for that later.? Athen replied absently over his shoulder, he had stopped running as the pair had entered a small cavern. Roughly round in shape it was a little more than twice the width of the passage they had been following and a little less than twice the original roof?s height.
------------------------------------------------------

Talen pulled himself up off of the ground. His head was swimming and the crystal, along with the daggers, he had been carrying were gone. Looking around for the others he saw Angel standing over her shattered form, which was quickly pulling itself back together. The original just stood in shock.

Unable to find Athen, Shankul, Lou or Shanga, Talen pulled out his Omnilink and took a quick glance at what blips were still there. Out of all the copies Lou was the only one to successfully kill his. Smirking Talen moved towards Angel, his partner needed some help.
------------------------------------------------------

?Why are we stopping here?? Talen demanded of Athen. ?Shiro isn?t anywhere near here.?

I have already arranged for Shiro to meet us here. ?If we get into combat with the other group of sphere holders we probably won?t survive.?

?We faired pretty well last time.? Talen continued.

?No we didn?t, they almost killed most of us when Angel went psychotic, and now most of them have their weapons.? Athen countered Talen again.

?How do you know all that?? Talen asked, now bewildered at the information that was being given to him.

?I did some scouting while I was away.? Athen finished as he slumped down by one of the walls. There was a second passage leading into the small cavern opposite the one the pair had entered it through. Talen figured the entrance must have been further down the mountain.
------------------------------------------------------

Talen crossed the shattered street as Angel?s copy pulled itself up off of the ground. She caught the real Angel by surprise and threw her through a nearby wall with a blast of fire, the front half of the copies body exploded with second degree burns and she wavered for a second.

?We must hurry, Athen has already moved to the cavern.? Talen informed Angel as they began to run out of the city.

?Does he have any of them with him?? Angel asked in reply.

?Yes he has Talen.? Talen smiled as they started to sprint.

?What are we going to do with the guardian, it was not part of the original plan.? Angel asked Talen.

?We leave it, there is no way that we can safely test its loyalties.? Talen decided on behalf of his small group. As the pair continued to run along the same route the real Talen and Athen?s copy had taken not that long ago, a third member joined them.

?He got away, and I can?t find Shanga anywhere.? Shankul informed the others as he run up alongside the group; Ryo?s copy was with him. Talen responded by lashing out with one of his daggers, removing both Shankul?s and Ryo hands at the wrist. The youths just looked down at the wound and continued running, the hand began to reform already.
------------------------------------------------------

Ryo pulled himself up out of a glassy tomb, he had some pretty serious cuts along his arms and blood was oozing thickly from his forehead. Still a little uneasy the youth looked around. The pair of dragons were still clashing overhead and most of the buildings around him had been reduced to little more than piles of broken glass as the fights had taken place. Lying in the centre of one of these glass piles was Angel, she looked pretty badly hurt. Ryo rushed over to offer his aid; discovering just how bad Angel?s wounds were when he got there?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mika and Shiro circled each other.Waiting for the other to make a move.Karanlik watched them with antisipation.

Mika lunged out,Shiro moved back.Shiro lunged,Mika moved.

"This isn't getting us anywhere Shiro. How about a good old showdown, full with parries and dodges.Like the times you did it with my Mother."Mika reasoned.

Shiro "hmphed" and stepped forwards.Mika smirked and took it as a yes.She stepped forwards too.

"This isn't a good idea Mika!"Karanlik warned.
"This is the only way it'll get done."Mika said without looking at him.

Mika and Shiro raised their weapons.Mika twirled her trident. The light shone off the silver of the weapon.

"Let's do it!"they both shouted at the same time.

"Suffering isn?t good angel" He stands up "Remer this Angel Life is a gift... If a gift is a surprise." He opens his Celcom. and calls The healer.. "Angels almost dead" He hangs up and lighting hits both of the dragons killing them instantly. "No more Mr. Nice Ryo. Angel. If you ever see Mika again tell them all to give up out fight is hopeless... I must now side with the dark side." He runs away

OOC: Sorry Scanerryo but it is next to impossible for Ryo to travel that fast, both Talens are too far away. For now I?ll just ignore that bit of your post so you can come back and edit the end of it.
--------------------------------------------

The massive bulk of the dragon heaved itself up off of the ground before shrinking back into its eagle form. The guardian them limped over to Angel to assist her with her wounds?

Talen looked back over his shoulder, he could hear noises coming from further along the tunnel he and Athen had come through not before. Getting ready for the worst Talen stood up and check his Omnilink to see who was coming towards them, the device showed Shankul, Ryo, Angel and himself. The group coming down the tunnel must be the copies, why else would members from the corrupts be travelling with uncorrupts?

?It?s the copies, they?ve followed us.? Talen said urgently as Athen clambered up off the ground. ?We have to go.? Athen crossed the cavern painfully slow. Talen could feel the urgency spill over onto his face, they were going to be here any second and Athen showed no sign of moving. ?Don?t you get it, there is no way that we can fight them.?

?I know, I have nothing to fear from them.? Athen said slowly, softly as he walked closer to Talen. Talen?s face began to soften as he tried to comprehend what Athen had just said, he began to back away slowly only to find a wall. ?Your just like the rest of them Talen, weak, you cant do what needs to be done.? He paused as Talen and Angel led the group of copies into the cavern.

?That?s why we?re here, to help you.? Talen finished Athen?s sentence as he approached the original, smirking manically. ?Don?t worry, it doesn?t take long to get used to.?

Talen?s copy continued forwards, the other copies stopped and continued smiling amongst themselves. Talen continued towards himself until he could see the beads of sweat rolling down the original Talen?s face.

?We?re only trying to help.? Talen feigned an innocent expression, as his hand turned to a soft, liquid texture, reminiscent of molten glass. Shankul and Ryo each grabbed one of Talen?s arms and held him flat against the wall. Talen?s copy then plunged his arm into him; slowly the rest of the copy?s body flowed into molten glass and disappeared into Talen?s chest. Ryo and Shankul released Talen?s body from their hold, he staggered forward before collapsing to the ground?
--------------------------------------------

Athen jogged quickly along a ridge, his Omnilink?s map helping him find the others. Shiro, Mika and Karanlik were just below the ridgeline, about a hundred feet ahead of him. The next closest cluster of blips contained his copy, one of the Angels, and Talen, they were almost a mile to his right.

The combat that Athen was approaching looked strange to say the least. Standing on the edge of a large black circle was Karanlik; he held a pair of long black poles in the air above his head. Mika and Shiro were circling each other in the centre of the circle, Shiro was on the offensive and Mika was blocking his expert attacks with equal skill. As Mika blocked one sword Shiro brought around the other, forcing Mika to twirl around and block the second deadly blade.

Athen slid down the side of the ridge about twenty feet before he reached the combat, there he paused and waited for one of the combatants to respond, none of them seemed to notice him. Summoning his scythe Athen continued forward, sneaking towards Karanlik.

Concentrating on maintaining the circle Karanlik didn?t notice Athen until it was almost too late. As Athen lunged forward, ready to deal Karanlik a lethal blow, he had trod on a stick, a loud snap noise followed.

The cliché noise had given Karanlik just enough warning to turn around and blocked Athen?s scythe with the Agrias. The dark circle faded from the ground, the Einlizers and Mika?s trident blazed back to life, their energies flowing through the pair again?
--------------------------------------------

Talen woke to the feel of cold hard cement. Pulling himself up off of the ground he looked around only to be confronted by cement walls on all sides. He felt different somehow, almost like his body wasn?t the same.

?Do you know where you are Talen?? A familiar voice seemed to echo through his head, it took him a moment to realize it was his.

?How?what?? Talen began, turning to see where the voice had come from. As he twirled the world around him changed. Now he was standing in a familiar place, a park he had lived nearby when he was younger, he remembered coming here whenever he had a problem, and it was his refuge. The park was exactly as he remembered it, save the fact that it was empty. Only two people remained in the once busy place, Talen and his double.

?Remember it Talen, do you remember why you used to come here.? His double was sitting on a bench in front of Talen.

?Y-y-yes.? Talen stammered in confusion.

?This is one of the places that has made you the way you are.? His double continued. ?It allowed you to close doors, create blockages, flee from you problems.? Talen looked at himself, knowing deep down that what he was saying was true.

?N-n-no, no it didn?t. I?m not weak.? Talen denied the facts he was being presented with.

?These blockages have stopped you from knowing who you really are. They have prevented you finding your true calling, the reason you exist.? Talen continued from the bench.

?What calling, what purpose?? Talen glared back at himself, confused. ?You haven?t done what I have done, you have no idea what I have been through.? He tried to counter the person who seemed to know him better then himself.

?You still don?t get it do you,? Talen stood from the bench and moved towards himself. ?I?m here to help you, to remove these doors, these problems that you have. Together we will discover what your purpose really is, why you have been brought to this mountain.?

Talen?s world seemed to loose all it bearings and swirl aimlessly around him again. This time it stopped to reveal a stretch of road. Unlike the park people were everywhere, this place was not from Talen?s memory. He could tell it was from the past as car models several years old screamed past on either side. As he stood in the middle of the road, squinting from the glaring sun, he spotted an all too familiar car coming down the road towards them.

Talen?s knees began to buckle as he saw his parents face through the windscreen. He had seen photos of the accident, he had seen pictures of his parent?s faces, and he had seen the car in a small, oil-ridden workshop. Talen collapsed to his knees.

?This is where it all starts Talen, this is where you started putting up walls.? Talen crouched down beside his quivering double. Watching the truck slid across the median strip just feet in front of them, watching his parents car slam on the breaks. Talen cried out in anguish as the front of the car began to crumple?
--------------------------------------------

Talen pulled himself up out of the dirt on the cavern floor. He paused as he took in his surroundings from a different perspective. Slowly he looked around at the other?s faces, finishing with Angel?s.

Smiling he stretched his neck and stepped towards Angel, caressing her face briefly before crossing the cavern. Athen and Angel was both close behind, the three paused when they reached the tunnel entrance and looked back at Ryo and Shankul. The small cement chamber whirled into a park as Talen began breaking down the original's mind

?Are you coming?? Athen sneered. The pair looked at each other quickly then hurried forward. The group continued towards the lower half of the mountain?
--------------------------------------------

OOC: Did that all make sense? If not PMe and I?ll explain it all to you. Angel you might want to just heal yourself by copying the Medic Sphere?s power.

OOC: OMGoodness! You did not just try to kill me! Uh-uh! I will not stand for this! Grrr......prepare to die, young one. LoL. Superior. HAH! Why thank you! LoL. Wait, so there are only one who can have the crystal right? Ok. I got it. Oh, and I may not be on from tomorrow to two weeks or more. It's because my computer won't be with me and it's because I'm moving. -_-,,,.
------------------------------------

Houyoku and its copy became its original eagle form. He healed Angel's wound and watched as she came to life again. Her eyes shot open and she flipped herself up.

Looking around, everyone had left. Her copy, the corrupts, corrupts copies, and the uncorrupt copies had left as well. She felt around her wound and there was no sign that she had been nearly put to death. When she touched her stomach, one name came to mine. Ryo. He will pay for the acts that he commited to Angel.

Angel looked to Houyoku and he changed into a large bird form. She got onto his back and before she did, she called the copy's name. But it was not the same as Houyoku's it was different. He came to her and looked to her. He had no intention of fighting the two anymore. The Angel copy had left him to die and she did not turn back. He was with the good now, as was Hitokage's double, Kurayami.

Out of the blue, Kurayami apperead. He was a black panther, but he had blue eyes instead of yellow and his chest had a small diamond of white, as did the tips of his ears and his tail.

Kurayami changed into a bird and flew along side Houyoku and Fenoxu. Finally the four flew to where the others were. Although, Angel held the legendary weapons, they were useless against the other weapons without the crystals. Grimacing, she crossed her arms and stood on Houyoku, looking to the north.

She unclipped her Cellcom and looked to it. She looked at the blinking blips and changed the colors on them, white would mean they were good, black would mean they were corrupted, blue would mean animals, and red would mean they were copies. They Cellcom showed red as well as black and white. It meant that they were mostly there. She had sent Mika a message saying she would be coming. She had told them to await her arrival, it would be a grand entrance no one will miss.

Angel was going to make Ryo suffer for what he had done to her. She was going to make him suffer. She would Talen see that he is not just an equal in powers, but that she is more than just a girl who can fight. To Angel, there was more than meets the eye and that was exactly what was to be seen from Talen.

(Karanlik pushes the scythe away with one of the Arigias, and with the other, he hits Athen with a very powerful dark energy blast, knocking him back)

Karanlik: (Thinking) Well, that prooves it. When outside the circle, I have to maintain it. Well, Mika has the advantage over Shiro. and it seems that I was wrong. Somehow, I can get a location on Asa through her weapon. I wonder why it doesn't work with the other weapons? Well, it doesn't matter. I can get to her, and I can probably take this guy with me. (Athen gets up and charges Karanlik. Karanlik sidesteps and trips Athen, then concentrates. He and Ather appear in Mirror City. Karanlik looks around after moving away from Athen) (Still thinking) Okay, this is not normal. There's two of everyone. So where's my duplicate? (Karanlik doesn't notice one of the Arigias glow black. He hears something behind him, and turns around to see himself) (Out loud) I was wondering where you were.

Duplicate Karanlik(DKaranlik): So you were expecting to meet yourself.

Karanlik: Yes.

DKaranlik: Well, I don't think that I'm quite what you were expecting. You see, this place did form a duplicate of you, but that duplicate was weak-minded. I failed to control you, but I had an easy time entering and controlling him. This gives me a body to use, even though it's not quite normal. But I don't want this body. I don't like it. Fortunately, I can use it to enter you. Scince I don't belong in it, I won't be able to gain full control of you with it, but I can use it to make it easier.

Karanlik: You're what was in the Arigias! And in my father!

DKaranlik: You're quick. Now, let's get with it, shall we? (He runs at Karanlik, who strikes with the Arigias. The next thing Karanlik knows, he and DKaranlik are on a metal floor, facing each other) This is a representation of the battle that our minds are having. It works just like a real battle. Whoever wins gets control of your body, and whoever loses dies. Oh, and by the way, no powers will work here. (Two poles appear in his hands, and Karanlik takes a fighting stance with his Arigias) weapons powers will also have no effect. This will be a strictly physical battle.

(Athen watches as DKaranlik seems to flow into Karanlik. Karanlik falls to the ground, uncouncious. Athen moves in for the kill, but when he swings his scythe, he is thrown backwards)

--------------------------

OOC: Theteleportation thing was also in the origional, but I toned it down a bit. Karanlik can currently locate only Asa's weapon, because Asa used it on him.

OOC: Again sorry if my posts are too long or too frequent.
--------------------------------------

Athen cursed and pulled himself up off of the ground. Searching frantically for Angel and his double the young man dashed across the street and watched Karanlik?s body twitch. Deciding that he couldn?t stand against Karanlik and it was too dangerous with Angel in the area Athen fled for the city?s edge, back down the mountain towards Shiro?s and Mika?s blips?
--------------------------------------

?This is where they died Talen, this is where the doctors failed you, where humanity first turned it?s back on you.? Talen stood in the emptied hall of the hospital, his double standing behind him as he spoke. ?Why do you protect them Talen, why won?t you see them for what they are??

?No. It wasn?t their fault there was nothing they could do to save them, it had to be this way.? Talen interjected.

?If our parents could hold on, could save themselves from that.? Talen saw the car impacting with the truck again, briefly this time, as the other spoke.

?It was an accident. Nothing could have saved them, it is nobody?s fault my parents died.? Talen denied what he was being told. He began to run down the corridor towards the doors at the end.

?You can?t escape Talen, the only way out of here is to accept the truth.? His double?s voice was no quieter, despite the distance between them. Talen reached the door and flung it open.

He was standing at the other end of the corridor, looking back into the place he had just fled. The other Talen stood on either side of him now, looking in on him from the twin corridors. Talen turned back towards the other.

This is my mind now Talen and there is nothing you can do to change that.? His counterpart sneered at him from either side. ?However I am willing to share it with you, once you have accepted the truth, once your strong, once you?re like me.?
--------------------------------------

Driven by their goal, their obsession to obtain their real bodies the copies hurried down the narrow passage. None of them were aware that their target had been moved to the mountain?s highest peak.

Athen was the first to exit the passage. He was standing in a small ditch, dotted with trees. He could hear the sounds of Shiro?s and Mika?s fight coming from over a nearby crest. Talen emerged with the others and they all hurried over the crest, expecting to see Athen, their next target, engaged in battle. Instead all they found was Shiro and Mika throwing blasts of energy at them.

?Where is he?? Athen half yelled, as he withdrew his Omnilink. A teal blip had appeared just outside Mirror City, it was moving down the mountain, towards them.

?How did he get up there?? Ryo?s copy asked.

?It does not matter, he is coming back to us now any way.? Talen looked to Athen. Mika and Shiro had paused at the sight of the mixed group; not knowing that they were copies neither of them could explain why Angel and Ryo were standing in allegiance with the three corrupts.

?We had best occupy ourselves while we wait.? Angel swept an arm towards Mika and Shiro.

?A fine idea if you ask me.? Talen took Angel?s lead and drew his daggers, moving with her towards Shiro. Athen moved with Ryo and Shankul towards Mika. Talen began the hostilities with a swing from his dagger, not realizing that Talen now had his own legendary weapon Shiro smirked and brought a sword up to block it.

?You sure you can beat me?? Shiro sneered, twirling around and slashing at Talen with his free sword. Talen blocked it with his second dagger, dragging the first one along the length of Shiro?s blade, freeing it for another slash.

?No, but unlike you Shiro I have friends, allies.? Shiro slashed with his blade, Talen caught the powerful weapon with a dagger but only after it had left a shallow gash in his shin.

?And where are your friends now?? Shiro smirked in Talen?s face as he pushed him to the ground, their blades tangled between one another?s chests. Angel stepped forward and lashed out at Shiro, not suspecting an attack Shiro almost failed to block it with one of the Einlizers. As Talen dropped to the ground the power of the blade sent Angel flying close to a dozen meters into the air.

Using the distraction to his advantage Talen lashed out at Shiro?s leg, leaving a long gash up the length of his calf. Already overbalanced Shiro fell heavily to the ground. Talen stood up and held a blade to his throat, looking around for Angel as he did?
--------------------------------------

Athen drew his scythe; unlike the original?s weapon this one was not legendary. Ryo and Shankul had already begun assailing Mika. She could handle to two of them with some difficulty but when Athen entered the fray Mika had to work her hardest to stop from being hit, the number of attacks coming her way was overwhelming?
--------------------------------------

Athen sprinted down the uneven mountainside; it wasn?t much further to where he had last seen Mika and Shiro?s blips. As he ran he could feel that there was something else up ahead, maybe it was his copy, maybe it was just déjà vu. Athen quickened his pace until he was going as fast as his legs could carry him?
--------------------------------------

OOC: To try and stop confusion please note that the Angel, Ryo and Shankul attacking Mika and Shiro are actually the copies from Mirror City. These copies want to replace the original versions of them and have no animosity with each other.

Lou walked toward the outside of the city. He pulled out his crystal and Sphere and rejoined them. The glowing Sphere was now seemingly magnetically attracted to Barghest. They both touched and a shining ruby circle appeared at the hilt. Lou looked at it for a moment and replaced his sword into its sheath.

He continued to walk and then brought out his OmniLink. He could tell that all of the others were somehow preoccupied with one or more of the doubles. He saw what appeared to be, on the tiny screen, a Corrupt traveling with some Uncorrupts.

This infuriated Lou. His eyes glowed again with the same evil blaze as they did in the battle with DLou. The thin scars on his arms acted as vents of fire that sprayed from his body. His hands and feet became miniature suns with just as much blinding light. The hair on his head became as the clearest blue blaze.

He had assumed that Shankul had been captured and was now being held prisoner by the Uncorrupts. He blasted upward in a streak of white light. It was only moments later when he reached where he believed his teammate was being held. He also witnessed Shiro and Mika having their own battle. He wasn't concerned with Shiro at this point. He had abandoned them only moments after the first fight.

When he looked back at the other group, he saw Shankul. But, he didn't look like someone who had been taken prisoner. They were all looking in the direction of the fight between Mika and Shiro. He landed a few yards behind them and they all turned around.

"Shankul." Lou said in an altered, deeper voice, "Come over here."

"I'm afraid you may be mistaken." Shankul's black eyes rolled with the look of liquid mirror.

"I see." Lou said in an indifferent voice. "And I?m sure you all know that I cannot defeat you."

"Yes, we know." they all three said in unison.

They all rushed forth, trying to subdue Lou. Several punches and kicks made full contact with him. But whenever their limbs would touch Lou, their flesh would melt into molten red glass. This didn't make much difference to them. They would simply reform their bodies.

"This is utterly pointless." Lou muttered to himself while useless attacks were being aimed at him. "Enough!" He shouted at them as the ground, underneath his feet became a boiling puddle of lava...

OOC: Um, Athen, Shankul and Ryo, I assume that is whom you mean were already engaged with Mika. They weren't just standing there watching the fight.
----------------------------------------

Laughing Athen turned his back to Lou and looked around to see how Talen and Angel were fairing against Shiro. He was surprised to see Shiro on the ground, helpless beneath Talen's blade. Athen turned back towards Lou and Shankul, their fight seemed utterly pointless as neither could land a successful attack, despite Ryo's help.

When Athen turned to find Mika however he came up short, she had disappeared. Sighing the youth turned his attention to his other, the real Athen wasn't far away now he could sense him.

'Talen, Angel we must go.' Athen called to his comrades. Talen looked over his shoulder at Athen then back down at Shiro.

'Aw, he ruins all my fun.' With a smirk he darted away, leaving Shiro crippled on the dew soaked ground.
----------------------------------------

'Remember him, you should.' Talen sneered over his shoulder. They were now standing on the twenty-first floor of Talen's uncle's office building.

'Of course I do, he raised me.' Talen replied to his evil counterpart.

'Yes, but he never really wanted to.' Talen continued as his uncle answered the phone. The expression on his face started with shock and slowly gave way to frustration.

'No, there is no way I can look after a kid.' Talen's uncle spoke into the handset. 'I know there is nobody else but can't you just put him in a foster home or something?' Talen felt weak in the stomach as he was forced to realize something he had always know.

'See Talen he never really wanted you. You were nothing more than a burden to him.' Talen sneered into his ear.
----------------------------------------

'Are you ok?' Talen asked as he ran alongside Angel, the pair were following Athen up a small winding trail, his double wasn't much further ahead.

'Yeah, fine.' She replied, appreciating his concern. The threesome pushed forwards, driven by Athen's relentless pursuit. Ryo and Shankul had been left behind with Shiro and Lou, the three cared not for their safety, they had their own objectives that needed to be fulfilled...

From the sky above, Angel saw that the copies were fleeing the area. She smirked slightly and pointed to the copies. Fenoxu dove down straight towards them, but as he did, he changed forms. He became the black dragon again. Houyoku was right behind Fenoxu.

As the two got low to the ground, Angel flipped into the air and landed near the fight. They stopped and turned to her. She stood with her arms across her chest. Fenoxu let out a black fire from his mouth. It stopped the copies from going anywhere. He landed in front of them and forced them back.

Angel looked to the copies, as well as the originals, as well as the corrupted. Houyoku, Kurayami, Hitokage, and Fenoxu were all now gathered together with the others.

"What a beautiful reunion. The Originals, the Corrupted, and....our beautiful Copies. Hmm. This is a day to remember. Because it will be the day I get rid of her." Angel pointed to her copy. Her head hung low. Angel stood proudly. "HOUYOKU! FENOXU! BLAST A FIRE AROUND THIS AREA! LET NO ONE OUT and let no one in."

A blast of fire came from Houyoku and Fenoxu. Kurayami had changed into his panther form and was now standing beside Hitokage. Angel stood beside the Originals and looked on. There was much to do. She would expect a good fight from her double.

OOC: Hey! No fair, twice now. Twice I?ve tried to merge the Athens and twice people have stopped me. Please don?t get all psychotic again Arika, please.
---------------------------------------------------------

Angel glared at herself with a hatred so intense Talen could have sworn he?d seen it on the air. Unable to continue after Athen he turned and followed Angel?s copy back down the hill, by the time he had arrived the two were already swinging at one another. Smirking he join the fray.

Athen stopped and turned towards Angel and here companions, furious that he had been cut off from his prize. He moved back down the slope, moving to engage the animal Angel had called Hitokage; it was the same panther he had almost killed in their first encounter. Stepping forward with a slash of his scythe Athen began his fight.

Talen ducked and rolled out of the way of one of Angel?s blades, he wasn?t exactly sure as to which one owned it. Angel turned to herself, forced to let Talen out of her sight for the moment. Rolling into the middle of the pair Talen stood with a dagger at each woman?s throat, both paused at the new threat.

The world around Talen shifted again, this time he could see Angel. Two of her, one poised at the end of each dagger, he thrust the legendary blades forward, careful not to injury either of the Angels.

?And what?s this supposed to teach me Talen?? He called out over his shoulder, assuming his double was standing in his usual place. ?What weakness am I supposed to be undoing?? There was no reply, only a strange look on both Angel?s faces.

Athen risked a glance towards Talen, standing in between the two young women he feared so much. Hitokage pounced into the air, knocking Athen flat on the ground, sneering the young man loosed one hand from his scythe and plunged it deep into the beast?s chest, slowly sliding away from the scene. This animal was a hard one; it had a strong will.

Talen shook his head, the look of confusion fading from his face. Angel rammed an elbow hard into his chest, winding him as he was thrown to the ground.

?This is our fight.? Both Angel?s looked to Talen as they spoke in union. Talen pulled himself off to one side and sat down, watching as the two rivals began to twirl around one another. The glinting of their metal blades and the flashing of the mixed magic made the fight hard to follow, even though the pair were exactly the same. Each one new what the other was about to do and exactly how to counter is, nothing in their memories was different, nothing before Angel first walked into Mirror City.

Athen?s world changed as he took control of the creature?s body, it wasn?t like other animals. It was more wilful, stronger than most creatures; Athen had had to tap into the power of both his scythe and the Nature Crystal to crush the things mind.

The panther that had previously contained Hitokage?s mind lay oddly on the ground. Athen had been bombarded when he had gained control of its body, this form could do so many things that he was not used to; he had to concentrate just to prevent it from falling into a shapeless blob.

Slowly Athen pulled the body up off of the ground, looking to the Angel?s as they fought, neither seemed aware that he had taken control over her precious companion?s body, destroying it?s mind as he did?

Angel fought with her double. Blade against blade. She twirled and dodged each attack that was brought upon her. She then stopped and looked to her double. Everything that she did was the same that she was to do. Everything that she countered, her copy did as well. It was impossible to beat her.

The double breathed heavily and looked to her. She then looked to the Talen Copy. She smirked slightly and then looked to where Angel was, but she was gone. She looked around and could not sense her. Angel finally figured out what to do.

"In and out of your mind. Vanished from sight. Afraid are we now? Don't be afraid. I'm right behind you."

Angel's double turned and only saw a blur. Soon she fell to the ground and wiped blood from her stomach. Something had cut her. She looked up and saw Angel standing over her.

An expressionless face came across Angel. She stood over her double and gripped her sais. She looked to her and spun the sai into the air and caught it with the blade before she threw it towards her double.

Blood gushed from her stomach before Angel's double pulled the weapon out of her stomach. Angel walked to her bloody weapon and held it in her hand. She looked to the blood and licked it off. She looked to the motionless body and searched her mind. It was cold and dead, meaning her double was dead.

Suddenly, something caused her to chill. She looked around and could not see Hitokage. She then searched for its, but the found its body motionless with blood poured from its body. She clenched the sais even stronger and the whites of her knuckles began to show. She sighed and knew that it was something that was meant to be.

Angel looked up and saw Talen, but it was not the double. She glared at him and fixated her eyes on him. He did the same as well. A thought came over her mind.

Talen felt his heart sink as he glared back at Angel; this was the real one, the original. Pulling himself up off the ground he drew his weapons and glanced around for help, Athen had disappeared, he was stranded in the middle of a ring of fire with the one person he doubted he could kill.

?Enough stalling.? Talen called across the ring to Angel, dusting himself off as he did. ?You don?t seriously think you can win, do you now?? He leapt into the air, Angel followed his lead, the pair?s blades clashed together and their feet skirted along the ground briefly before beginning their dance around one another.

?Its good to see you have finally accepted your fate Talen.? The youth said to himself as the last scenes of his tortured past faded away. ?Now we can share the powers that only together we can unlock.?

The world twirled around them and disappeared into a white haze, extending in every direction, all a blur except a small stone pedestal. It sat just in front of the Talens; a small black orb shimmered atop it, the fury of the elements, the power of the spheres waiting to be unleashed. The Talens smirked to one another and placed a hand on the sphere?

Slowly the mirage sphere filled with a black cloud as it hung around Talen?s neck, he ignored it and continued his frantic dance with Angel. She was skilled in combat and was adept at using her powers but Talen new he had the upper hand, new that they had the upper hand?

Athen, the real Athen had arrived at the bottom of the slope. He had seen the flaming ring; he could see Talen and Angel whirling around inside, but something else had caught his eye. Lying in the shadow of a nearby tree was a body; it looked like it had been thrown out of the ring. Athen rushed over to see who it was, to decide whether to save them or to kill them?
------------------------------------------------

Athen [the copy] could feel the cold touch of the soft grass pressing against his back, feeling weak he lay still leaving his eyes closed as he tried to remember how he had gotten here. He could remember destroying Hitokage, he could remember trying to control its body but then what?

Sensing someone nearby Athen opened his eyes only to find his eyes staring back at him. Smirking he plunged a hand into his chest, slipping into himself, disappearing into his mind.
------------------------------------------------

Athen?s [the real one] world spun around him, melding into a solid grey blur before changing into a cement box. Four cement walls, one cement ceiling and one cement floor, that was all there was?

Talen smirked as his face moved closer to Angel?s; a thick layer of sweat was rolling down across its beauty. Talen knew that she was starting to wear down; this fight was too much for her.

Twirling around he continued to throw blade after blade at her, stopping only when the space between them was larger than the biggest pace. There he brought his blades together and let a massive blast of fire loose at Angel. Too far to attack and too close to dodge Angel took the blast in the stomach, she was thrown several feet into the air, landing inches away from the flaming walls that kept them together.

Smirking Talen lowered his blades and waited for Angel to get back up, she had already begun to heal herself with the power of the medic sphere, copying it with her own. No sooner had Angel pulled herself up off the ground was Talen upon her.

Twirling around one another the obscene dance continued, it?s pace driven by the clashing serenade of the couple?s blades. Moving around the ring the pair continued at one another, neither able to land a hit, neither able to think for the fear that their instincts would let a block fail.

Unleashing blasts among the blades of their fury the pair drove each other across the clearing. Unable to spill his opposition?s blood Talen felt his frustration raising, it?s malice seeping into his footwork. Twirling around Talen gave away his balance and Angel pushed back against him, forcing the young man to run against his step and fall to the ground.

An hour seemed to fall inside a minute and a minute inside a second as Talen felt himself fall. He saw the brilliant streak of blood fly across the space, hiding the face of beauty from his view, then the pain seared through his shoulder. Hope fled Talen?s heart as the void continued to slip passed, rising again faster than the furious climb of a roller coaster as he watched the sais [I think you use one of them] fly from Angel?s hand.

Talen seized the opportunity and lashed out with his blade. Drawing its deadly edge across Angel?s leg. Faltering she continued with the momentum and fell towards Talen, tumbling to the ground.

Time pulled itself free from the grasp of insanity and returned to its normal pace. Talen rolled from the ground as fast as he could, twirling one of his legendary blades in a swift arc to it?s resting place centred on Angel?s neck?
------------------------------------------------

Talen pulled his hand off of the sphere and leaped over the low pedestal, landing on top of his copy in a heap. Continuing his assault he hammered the youth with his fists, summoning all his will as he did.

Talen [copy] opened his eyes to the sight of plain grey stone; he was standing in the crypt he had created for himself.

?No!? His own voice echoed into his mind as the real Talen regained control over his body, horrified by the scene before him?
------------------------------------------------

Talen looked into Angel?s eyes, he could see the fear that most could not. Taking in the scene around his grip on the dagger at her neck began to loosen. Angel was on her knees, completely at Talen?s mercy, it was his choice whether she lived or died.

The dagger fell to the ground, slipping from Talen?s grasp as he crumpled to his knees. Angel got to her feet, shock slipping through the careful filter on her face.

?S-s-sorry, I?m sorry.? Unable to look Angel in the face Talen lowered his face into his hands and began to weep, blood and sorrow filled the air around him as the wound on his shoulder went unchecked, as the young man put himself at the mercy of Angel?

Athen glared into the flaming circle, furious at the defection of his friend. Looking to see Mika standing on the opposite side of the arena Athen slunk into the shadows, moving back up the mountain to find someone he could trust.

The flames began to subside, shrinking slowly to the ground. Shiro and the others had all moved away during the fight, seizing the opportunity to escape unnoticed?

OOC: Uhm......although Angel copied the Medic Sphere, she is able to heal herself. But, Ok.!
---------------------------------

A sai clenched in Angel's hand as she looked to the weeping figure that was kneeled before her. She twirled her weapons and sheathed them. She put her hand to his shoulder. Mercy was not her way, nor was it revenge.

She searched his mind and found that he could not kill her, he didn't have a cold heart like his copy. He looked to her face and his face was tear-stained. She then stepped back and as Talen began to rise, the daggers came near to her.

"I will be talking what is rightfully mine." The crystals came from the dagger and she marveled at their beauty. "I believe I have found a worthy opponent. One question."

Talen looked to her and then to his daggers. He could feel his copy slipping away. "And that is?"

Angel now held the daggers in her hand as well as the crystals. "Why did you not kill me?"
