The (Sic) Shape
Shouldn't this be in the Anime Forum? Anyways, this "Ban Anime" petition doesn't have a chance. The majority of the signatures in that petition are simply protesting against it rather then supporting it. Also this petition started just becuase of TWO animes, TWO. It's a a worthless cause. Desbreko
First off, yes, this should've gone in the Anime Lounge forum. Anime Lounge deals with all threads pertaining to anime, while Otaku Lounge is for everything that doesn't have a specific forum on the board. This thread has to do with anime, therefore it goes in Anime Lounge. Secondly, are you actually taking this seriously? I mean, have you looked at any of the signatures on that petition to ban anime? Almost all of them, ironically, seem to be against the petition. Not to mention, as it has been in more than a few of the signatures, that the person that posted the petition has the e-mail address "." Now, do you really think someone who hates anime would have an e-mail address like that? This whole thing smells of a stupid joke that's gone too far. Third, I don't see this thread generating any real discussion. If left open, it'd probably just result in a bunch of people posting things none too different from most of that petition's signatures. That is, insults directed at the creator of the petition and counter arguments on why anime shouldn't be banned. So, I'm going to close the thread before that happens.
