Kinetic
I guess I forgot to post this in the, "Banana Banna," thread or whatever it was. I made a couple of small sigs (one out of the background for the, "Banana Banna." Katana
Wow. Those are really cool. I wonder how you make those exactly, because I know you use that style for backgrounds and the...uh...way you overlay them with images. (Hard to find the exact words) I've seen those before...not yours, but that same kind of style. The dude from the website I'm thinking of says he used "black canvas, Photoshop 7 filters, and 3D Studio Max 4 renders in some cases". Oh, and "without stock images", whatever those are. (Heh, I'm stupid. v.v) I seriously wish I could make those. They'd be really spiffy on a banner. Anyways, the first one reminds me of ice. Dark, icy ice that makes you wanna run away from it, but you can't because you're in an avalanche in it...(woah, getting carried away there. ^^; ) The second one gives me that spring feeling. It has a soft effect with the white, but it does have the black, as if reminding you of a certain thing. Hmmm.
Kinetic
Lol, thanks for the comments. There was actually very little photoshop work involved with the first one. I made a 3D Studio Max 5 render and did some blending effects in photoshop (layering multiple copies on top of each other and rotating and stuff). Then I messed with the brightness/contrast and made it look fiery (the background in the next image): Then I took that BG, duplicated and rotated it and did some blending effect. Then I colorized and there you go lol. The second one, I made a wallpaper with a 3D Studio Max 5 render, an old filter piece (bleh) and alot of airbrushing then I just centered it in the sig area. Then I took the other sig I made (the first one), layered it on top, rotated and did some blending stuff. VERY simple if you have the programs and know how to do stuff like that. PiroMunkie
Mmm ... I like them enough. The whole swirly misty kind of stuff with an obscure background (occasionally with text and/or picture) seems to be a running style with you. It works, though. However, something bothers me about the firey one, but I am not sure what. sidenote: *sees AFI lyrics in your sig* You own, lol.

Shippo
:Jaw Drops: Wow, both of them are very nice! I'm really impressed. First Banner- I love those effect's...maybe adding a picture would have made it a little more...intresting? Second Banner- Wow, now that has got to be one of the best banners I've seen here. The Sephiroth pic was VERY well cropped. The background is beautiful as usual. There is one minor problem I could spot on this banner. The font color. It's a little hard to read, but nothing to big. --- *go's off looking for 3D Studio Max 5*
