Thousands of years ago a creature appeared in the gateway. It started taking the souls of the dead heading for the sacred lands. With every soul it took it gained in power. Soon more creatures appeared.

After time they became so powerful they became beings beyond the conception of the mind. But something brought word of the creatures to the living lands. A man named Iricaldi was able to escape the scared lands. When he became a living being again he spoke of the creatures. People started to fear death.

As castles started being built in Arrav, the hidden kingdom of Angels, the lord discovered a crystal. A few years later a portal was built using the power of the crystal. It warped people to the gateway. In the gateway people found the creatures and fleed. After a few more visits they dicovered that if they were still living they could not be harmed by the creatures. The people's of Arrav decided to call the creatures deathlords. They sealed off the portal and decided to leave the gateway alone.

One million years later. A warlord named Morak hears of the deathlords. He gathers an army and starts a expedition to Arrav to get the portal and steal the souls from the deathlords. Morak planned to become the strongest being ever.

In the kingdom of Sera, at the age of fourteen a boy is supposed to start his training as a knight. He is to go the city elder and get a task from him. Then complete the task. When he returns the city starts a celebration for his return and the start of his training. Toshi Kodurama is going to start this. The elder, who has powers which lets him see what is happening all around the world. He sees Morak's army and tells Toshi that Arrav is in danger. He says to go to Arrav and warn them of the oncoming danger.

Special Characteristics: expert in combat with the glave and staff, and is able to open warpholes/portals to the Gateway.
Description: short black hair, dark eyes, very pale.

Background: As a child Veil was left in the care of the Elder, whom she was later apprenticed to. He trained her to control her powers, until she was able to focus them into a portal to the Gateway. When Toshi came to the Elder to receive his task, the Elder gave Veil the mission of guarding Toshi until he completed the task. Thus, Veil returned with Toshi to his city, sworn to be a part of his honor guard.

She has short black hair tied in a ponytail and with streaks of purple and pink, purple eyes with a hint of pink, and wears a short yellow shirt and purple shorts. She also wears black shoes, and the arrows ahe carries are green and blue in color, shot from a glowing purple bow. She carries her bright blue-handled sword in a black hilt with a pink crystal on it on a belt worn on her hips.

Asunan was mostly interested in training alone, with her own separate group of warriors. They called themselves the "Star Knights," an independent and almost unknown clan. Asunan's dream for quite a while was to become the leader of her group, but she enjoyed being co-leader.[/color]

Special characteristics: He was born with the power to feel other people's anger, pain, and sorrow.

Appearance: He was a black buster blade with the white engraving of the kingdom of Sera. He wears a black trenchcoat and has blue hair with green eyes. He also has black pants and dark gray boots. He is also 5 foot 4 inches.

Bio: Before Toshi was fourteen he was born into a very middle classed family in Sera. He was seperated from his parents at birth and never knew them. As he grew older he followed the cult of the Skywatchers. He became strong but not close to that of the knights of Sera. He started his journey to becoming a knight. His start was his task to Arrav.

Name: Linë [(lee-na) but you can spell it "Line", you don't need the two dots. Just know it's pronounced "lee-na"]

Speical Characteristics: Line is very [i]very[/i] skilled with daggers and swords. She is also a fairly good archer, but does not carry a bow and arrows. If she ever needs to use her archery skills, she steals a bow and quiver of arrows from someone who's dead and doesn't need them. Her last resort is a spell:
[b]M'laer:[/b] Pronounced "oom-lair", meaning "sacrafice" in her native tongue, it's casted from the necklaces around Line's neck. This is a final ditch attempt to win when all else fails. The reason it's held as a last resort is because of what it takes to cast the spell. This spell will allow the caster to steal the opponent's soul by releasing their own soul to retrieve it from the opponent.

Description: Standing at 5'4", her hair is short and spiky and it's black(on the tips of the spikes it's red). She has pale skin and dresses as a boy (mostly to get into wars and such): baggy black pants, a semi-baggy black shirt with the bottom hanging at an angle (like this: \ so that it's drooping on one side, but raised on the other) it has 3/4-sleeves, under the arms she hides her daggers, one under each sleeve. The sleeves are baggy. She has twin necklaces around her neck that she uses to cast the [b]M'laer[/b]. One necklace is tan and the other is red, but they both have ancient writing on them written in her family's native tongue which has long since died out in every family but hers.

Background: Line was born as the oldest of thirteen children. Her parents couldn't afford the children, so they had to make or get their own things so the people at school picked on her for her ragged and dirty clothes and, in fact, her parents didn't care much for her. In fact, at age 8, Line's dad had already broughten home 3 different wives, each time he had left for a month or two and came back chasing the children, trying to beat them. Finally, she took the children out on the streets to live. They stayed close to the house, incase they could inhabit it again when the parents went away, and also incase a mom had another kid they needed to take in. The 8 year old got jobs washing cars and mowing lawns as the little ones played on the already cut grass, or inside the car. They barely made enough to survive, and, once Sheen, the second oldest, was old enough, he helped, too. School was no fun, anyway, so he didn't mind quiting it. But, when Sheen was 10, he was diagnossed with exhaustion because of malnutrition which led to anemonia (sp?). He died a month later due to the fact the others couldn't get her medical health (for financial reasons, duh).


One day, it wasn't even noon yet when Line saw men and women rushing to the school. She let go of the mower and ran to the school. There she found a gang of boys fighting five boys, and three other boys on the ground. Each time one of the five boys landed on the ground, another boy would come in his place. When Line finally got through the crowd, fourteen boys and one girl were on the ground. Line jumped into the fight and fought off the gang, getting them on their backs and keeping them there until the athorities arrived. Unfortunately, the fifteen kids died fighting the gang because the gang had used iron knuckles. Most of the fifteen that had died had been Line's siblings. After that, Line wandered the streets, dazed. One rainy evening, she came across a fortune teller who asked her where she got those necklaces. When Line explained they were from her grandmother and what they were, the fortune teller taught her the spell [b]M'laer[/b]. She took Line to her home in the country and taught her everything she knows about fighting. After the fortune teller's death, Line became the strongest she could be. She had heard about the trouble going on in the country and wanted to be ready. In order to practice her skills, she dressed as a man and enlisted in many wars, but she still didn't know if she was ready to fight the warlord Morak.

Age: Looks as if he is 15 yet his real age is unknown and is definitely not 15.

Special Characteristics: Masterment of the power of Lemaria, ancient wisdom, 30 years of war experience and is very useful in other things (such as smithing, a knowledge of all useful herbs, and knowledge of many places heard of and unheard of.)

Description: Muscular yet not bulky, calm blue eyes, Pure white hair which is a bit messy and spiky. A sky blue symbol painted going from just below his left lower eyelid, curving around his eyelid then down his nose and ends just by the bottom-left side of his nose. He wears a white cotton t-shirt and a pair of white cotton baggy pants and a belt worn from his right shoulder down to the right part of his waist which on the back carries Lemaria.

Background: unknown until revealed in the story.

Age: Thought to be around 17.. not positive.

Ability: A healer. Doesn't need herds to help she just uses a touch and her heart. Unsure of the overall effect it has on her or the one she heals so save this power for only when desperately needed.

Bio: Most of her life is unknown, according to her guardians she was found on the side of the road at a very young age crying. Not sure of how old she was when they found her they believed her to be around 2-5 years of age but have placed her with a certain group of childern who seemed to be at her level.

Those children were about 3 years old and they placed her at that age. Being a happy child and playful the guardinans always noticed that after a fall or a srcape she would never be hurt, or the sore would go away overnight.

Wanting to test a theory the man had a wound on his arm. Upon seeing the wound she touched it and cried beacuse the man she thought of as dad was hurt. He felt a strange sensation radiated from the wound and quickly unwrapped it. His cut gone.

From then on the Kept a ver tight lid on her abilities But grew up becoming shunned by those she played around with for being different. Not due to her abilility but her color, and her looks.

At the age of 14 she found a friend in dire straights, The young lady used her power to heal her friend, Since then people have been seeking her and coming to her whenever they need healing. One by one she and her guardians turned them away. At 16 she became tired and left her town wanting to explore and find out, who she truly is.
