Guest phattmasterdj
In the land of Stygia, all were peace loving. There were no fights, no robbers, and no crimes at all. One would say it was perfect. Then a gloom fell upon the country. A man named Shrinken showed up with army after army of sword wielding warriors. There was a legion of Urki, a legion of Orcs, a legion of Easterlings, a legion of Uber Orcs (if their skin touches the skin of any race that wasn't their own, that creature's life would drain into the Uber Orc.) and two legions of half men half Orc. "Destroy all who resists the power of the hand," Shrinken commanded his generals. Okay, this is where we come in. I need a group of seven to join, leaving eight characters total. The generals that we are after are Of the Urki: Banamouri Of the Orc: Salubia Of the Easterlings: Jamar Of the half Orc, half man 1: Flechem Of the half Orc, half man 2: Tromp Our last enemy that we must target is Shrinken himself. Other enemies will arise, and other allies will join our group later on. So if you don't get in the group right away don't be discouraged, because I might just be saving you to throw the rest of the group off. The races you may be are: 1. Elf 2. Dwarf 3. Hobbit 4. Human 5. Magician (some consider this a race, others consider it an order) I will only accept one Easterling. If you would like to be one, sign up twice, once as the Easterling, the other as whatever else appeals to you. Use your imagination with this, you can mix and match these races, but Easterling will only be used once no matter what. Okay, this is the sign up sheet. Name: Age: Race Gender: Location (Where you're from, like rohan for ex.): Order (what you are, like a ranger for ex.): Weapons max 3: Abilities max 4: Advantages max 4: Magic (for magicians only) max 3 for starters. You can learn more spells as you go on. So chose wisely: Bio: Appearance: The person with the best-written bio will get an extra one of the following: 1. Weapon 2. Ability 3. Magic (for magicians only)
Squall
Name: Rikan Sashimah Age: 86 (looks 23) Race: Elven Gender: male Location Mirkwood (that's the elven city surrounded by the river, right?) Order: Ranger Weapons max 3: Longbow, Staff (about the size of an arm. advantages:(I'm not exactly sure what you ment by this, I may edit later.) His father tried to take as good of care of his son as he could, teaching him archery and smith's work. His father was a bit senile, though, as he wanted his son to follow in his steps. Being a vetran, that was a difficult task. Rikan learned comabat techniques and survival skills from his father, and then was sent to the Rohinian army Military academy, whcih further improved his talents. Though his skills became great, Rikan did not like the idea of just becoming a nameless soldier for the rest of his life, though he would do anything to make his father proud. Instead of completely joining the army, he left and hoped to accomplish something without his father's help. Appearance: Black hair that goes to the middle of his neck in back, and across his eyes in front. He has brown eyes, and wears a long jean coat, a black shirt and brown pants. His boots are dark red, as are his gloves and arrow holster.
AnonymousSource
Ok, I talked to Phatty in school, and obviously he hasn't put it in here yet, but Abilities are things you're born with, and Advantages are trained... in short form...Edit accordingly I guess. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Name: Denthril Age: 25 Race: Sindarin Wood Elf Gender: Male Location: Mithlond originally but spent most of the time around the other three elven colonies Order: Rogue/Warrior - Spy profession Weapons: Duel Longswords with orc-banes and an elven dagger with a "returning" enchantment (a NON-archer Elf...heh) Abilities: Ambidextrous, Swiftness (one of the fastest in Middle Earth), Sense Power, and swift healing. Advantages: Exellant two-handed fighter, stealth and silence(like any rogue), enchantments (learned it from some elven carvers in Mirkwood), and a master at improvising weapons/food. Bio: Denthril runs, and stealthily, the story of his life! Denthril's job is to run. Raised in Mithlond, Denthril was too depressed by all of the elves he watched abandon Middle Earth; so he ran. Far away he ran, non-stop. Denthril didn't stop running until he reached Mirkwood. That's right, the other end of middle earth. It was there that weariness caught up with him, and he fell unconscious. Denthril awoke to find himself among the great Elven Halls of North Mirkwood. "You run fast," One Sindarin Elf said to him, "How would you like to work for us?" So that's how I became a messanger, running from the Elven halls throught the dangerous forest of Mirkwood, to Lothlorien, through the Moutains to Rivendell then through the passage past the territory of Carrock back to the Elven Halls. He's been doing it for years, and has become increasingly good at it. And running through the forest has given him many an opportunity to sharpen his sword skills, and the barbarian-filled mountains, his stealth. Appearance: He is a typical Grey Elf; blonde, pointy-eared, tall, and skinny. Added to that he has an elven cloak around his kneck to aid his stealth, his two longswords sheathed on his back, and his dagger around his waist. His clothing is black, to aid his night travel. Dead Alice
Name: Niphredil Fanui (nee-frey-deel fa-noo-ee) Age: unknown (looks around 20) Race: Elf Gender: female Location: Rivendell Order: Ranger Weapons: long bow, small dagger, short Elven sword Abilities: extremely good eyesight, heals slightly faster than normal Elves Advantages: dead-shot with a bow, climbs trees easily ((haha, yeah right...)) Bio: Niphredil was always a troublesome child. She was often made fun of for being a tomboy. Her mother had passed away during childbirth, leaving her father in charge. He was never a very good parent, so Niphredil was forced to take care of herself. She learned archery and swordsmanship from her male friends, and always seeked adventure. Despite her dainty appearance, Niphredil was rough and unpredictable. She often got into fights and ended up hurting others more than she wanted to. She became very lonely, feeling she was misunderstood. She spent a lot of her time in the forest. Even with her boyish personality, Niphredil had a sensitive side. She was also very intelligent, but hid herself from others, fearing they would mistreat her, like so many often did. With so much time on her hands, Niphredil became skilled as a ranger and swordswoman. If it weren't for her mysterious air and natural beauty, people might forget she's a woman! With the news of a war brewing, Niphredil takes up her arrows, ready to die with honor. She will give up anything for the land and people she loves, even if it means her life. Appearance: Tall, slender; Long dark hair (like Arwen's) that reaches her mid-back, tied back in a half-ponytail, with numerous braids; dark grey eyes; pale (not that pale) skin; outfit: white blouse with very long sleeves, dark red vest, long black skirt with pants (like Legolas's) underneath, black boots, pierced ears! Drix D'Zanth
I need this question answered. You have L.O.T.R listed up top and besides somewhat limited lotr background involving races, describe nothing of Tolkien's Middle Earth. Is this set after LOTR? Could you explain what's going on? Or is this a totally different universe (Stygia?) with LOTRish style?
Guest phattmasterdj
. First, Drix D'Zanth, I am sorry for not being more specific. This takes place long after the lord of the rings books have ended. Stygia is a new realm on the edge of middle earth. It was not discovered because no one, not even Sarumon dared to spread that far out. As time progressed however, new trade routed opened, reveling the realm of Stygia. Now that I have answered all the questions, I hope to the extent that you expected. I will start judging the winners for the best bio. Anonymous source has asked to not be in the running of the best bio race, so he will not be competing for it. Farto the Magic, I am sorry to report that you are out of the running. You did not add enough details, that and you had some grammar problems. Outlaw, you had an excellent bio, but you misspelled though wrong every time. However, the detail and grammar otherwise were awesome. xXchaosfaerieXx, amazing bio. The work that you put into it was very exceptional. It was nice length and good grammar. Your spelling that I know of is impeccable. You and Outlaw are definitely in the running. Squall, Amazing bio. You had a nice length, though I was hopping for more. The research put into the towns and traveling is wonderful. Your detail, grammar, and spelling skills are some of the best I have read. You are also in the running I have accepted every one of those named above, but Farto, if more then seven people sign up, and their sign up sheet's are better then yours, you will be out. Until then, assume you are in the rpg

The_Ghost
Name: Alcarin Age: 25 Race: ½ Rohirrim (aka human), ½ Mirkwood Elf. Gender: Female Location: Born and raised in Rohan, but now spends most of her time in or around the forests of Mirkwood. Order: Rouge fighter?I guess Weapons: Two long swords and a dagger tied to her ankle. Abilities: Fast reaction time, quick learner, stealthy, and has good eyesight. Advantages: High pain tolerance, has knowledge and ability to use most weapons, has wide knowledge of horses, able to blend in well with different societies. Disadvantages: Very stubborn and sarcastic at times. She is also extremely bitter. Bio: Alcarin was born into a noble line of Rohan. Her mother, Miriel, had an arranged marriage with Theodomiel Hildeson. Miriel did not wish to be married because she was in love with an exiled Mirkwood elf named Falatos. Theodomiel was very harsh to Miriel, and often left home for scouting missions. When Alcarin was born, Theodomiel knew she was not his and had Miriel publicly executed for adultery. Falatos was never heard from again, and Theodomiel never remarried. Alcarin hated Theodomiel, and he hated her. She spent most of her time with the stable-hand, Eridos, who taught her much about fighting and survival. She was not supposed to fight because of her noble status. She spent every day with Eridos, and soon they fell in love. When Theodomiel learned of what she was doing at the stables, he refused to let her go back there. He also wished for her to spend more time with the man that she was supposed to marry, Theogal. Theodomiel feared that, like her mother, she would not want the marriage that had been arranged for her. His suspicions were not unfounded, for Alcarin and Eridos were planning to run away together. Theodomiel found out about their plan, and killed Eridos. Alcarin, heartbroken, ran away from home, surviving on what Eridos had taught her. She is now a wanderer, searching for nothing and everything at the same time, fighting whoever comes across her path. Appearance: Tall, slender, with gray eyes and white-blonde wavy hair(when it's clean), about 5 inches below the shoulder. Her hair is rarely tied back. Clothes: Nothing fancy;black boots, black pants, and a dark green sweater-type thing. She wears a brown vest over that and a grey cloak that reaches all the way to her feet. There are only two things from Rohan that she keeps: Eridos' belt, which has the sheathes for the two swords, and her mother's locket, which has her mother's family crest on it. Radaghast
[b]Apparently you have some of your facts mixed up, phattmasterdj.
Saruman is dead. If you actually read the books, you would know that he was killed by Worm Tounge during the Scouring of the Shire.
Also, the 'magician' class/race you refer to would be correctly called 'The Istari'. The Istari, which both Gandalf and Saruman belong to, are order of the Maiar, who are the servants of the gods. Guest phattmasterdj
Ok, the first thing I would like to address is the fact that not everybody knows what Istari are, so of course I'm putting everything in lameness terms so I can actually get people to sign up. Second, sign-up are closed. I will start the adventure now, so you can post. I would like all of you to be courteous in your posting turns and leave at least two other post's between your own. I have belonged to an rpg were almost all of it was done by three of the eight people, so I know how frustrating this gets. Third, I will pm the winner and runners up of who won the best bio contest. So please check your pm's before your first post. I will not create a charector, I am going to be all the evil villains, There are many unexspected surprises instore for this group. The 5 Maiar, The Grey, The White, The Brown, and the Two Blues where sent to rally the free people against Sauron. That was their soul purpose for being in middle earth. With Sauron cast into the void, Gandalf (The only Istari left besides Radagast who choose to stay in Middle Earth due to his love for animals and nature) left saying "Sauron was my enemey, with him undone I must leave now." The Valar would not petty themselves to the wars of men and orcs, so I don't think they should be there. Also, the two Blue wizards wandered into the East with Saruman to seek the tribes of the Khand and Wain Riders, but never returned. Only Saruman knows of their fates, and well... You know about him >>. Tolkien says in one of his letters that the Blue Wizards went into the east and severly decreased the Easterling armies, had it not been for them, both in the War of Sauron and the Elves and the War of the Ring the Easterlings would have far outnumbered the free people. But... Its your RPG, so you can keep them if you want. I'm just saying >>...
Drix D'Zanth
Well since TigerVX has stated the truth about that one I should probably mention that all of the elves are gone too. Not only that.... i noticed the huge human/elf combo race. I suppose people don't actually realize how incredibly rare it was in middle earth. Only Aragorn and Arwen, Earendil and M-something (Dior's daughter) and few others would join together. The last few elves of middle earth were perhaps Legolas, Elrond's sons, Celeborn, and the last Silvan of thranduil's line(All of these mentioned ended up sailing in the 4th age near aragorn's death). Even if you wanted elves you would be lucky to see more than 3 or so within weeks of travel between FORMER elven cities. So having elves really doesn't make too much sense ;). I'm hardly cocky, ad I'm not shoving facts for fact's sake. You chose to base it on LOTR, I was offering my imput, no better no worse than yours. Guest phattmasterdj
Drix D'Zanth, I am sorry to report that you are indeed wrong about the elves. They were PLANNING on leaving, but no ware in any of Tolkens works does it say they all left. Between me and my friends, we have read every single Tolken book and letter based on The Lord Of the Ring series, so you should check out your facts properly before adding them. Elf and human's didn't normaly mix, that is right, but I also put in the sign up to use your imagination, and not go just by the rules. If we were to do that, Ubur Orcs wouln't be in this adventer either, now would they? I apreaciate your concern, but unless you have true facts that you checked out and checked out again, and then had someone else check them out, you shouldn't go waving them around. Thank you very much. Have a wonderful day.

AnonymousSource
Drix, I'm sorry, yes I did lose my temper; but when people seemingly not at all interested in joining come in and tell us what to do... and that is what it seemed like you were doing I have a role playing guide (not a firsthand source, but dang close) and it actually says in there that it DOES rarely happen but not to have that hamper the adventure from having any... Obviously it does happen, and yes we have more then would be realistic in here, but we don't want to chew people out just because they're doing something that would be unlikely. And actually it does say that Elrond's Sons stayed in Middle Earth and probebly didn't stay alone. You're right, they probebly would have left the elven cities by now, and that's my fault for not thinking of that, but Tolkein left that pretty wide open so it would still be possible. Once again sorry for losing my temper... I don't mean to start any fights. Now I'd like to address the what the heck is everybody? The real thread is going nowhere!
