Gaming Favorite Video Games

I personally like GTA Vice City and GTA3 , Ratchet and Clank 2, and Xenosaga;Episode 1 Der Wille Zer Macht. And also i dont mind playing a bit of Jak2 or Metal Gear Solid2;Sons of Liberty.

I personally didn't vote in the poll, because my favorite games for the system aren't up on your poll. Right now there are quite a few really big PS2 games out that I've yet to play (ie. Jak II, XenoSaga, ect.) so I can't [i]truly[/i] answer this question yet. But as far as what I have played, these are my choices.

Above all I'd like to say this is impossible, you can't really compare SSX and Devil May Cry or something along those lines. Both are amazing games, but there is nothing to compare. So, I'll just try my best I guess.

First off I'd like to say that GTA3/Vice City are the most overrated games for PS2. Yes, they are good games, but nothing special honestly. Nothing new, or revolutionary. I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

Probably overall, my favorite is Devil May Cry. Visually [i]stunning[/i] for it's time. To me DMC had it all, graphics, gameplay, ect. The only things that dissapointed me about the game were the story and the legnth. It did take me a little longer than most people, but mainly because it was my first PS2 game. I was still getting used to the slightly different controller. But I believe DMC is one of the best PS2 games to date. It's relatively overrated in most people's eyes, but it deserves all of the fanfare it got.

SSX: Tricky is another game I really enjoyed. I would pick SSX3, but I've only had about a weekend of play with that. But SSX: Tricky, I've had since I bought a GameCube. Something I really liked from SSX: Tricky were the DVD options, I really wish more games would incorporate this feature.

Other than that I really like Zone of Enders, MGS2, and what I've played of Rez (I really need to buy it). [/color]

Well i would have to say The final fantasy series, Especially 7. The emotions this game makes u have while playing are intense to say the least. Each Fantasy game has an ingaging storyline and indepth characters that make u actually feel as if your in the game. In my oppinion Final fantasy will be the best games ever made.

Final Fantasy is definitely the best game on the poll in my opinion. Socom, DBZ, GTA, and Maddenare ones i play too. Overall, FF is my very favorite outta ur poll. I havent played Xenosaga, but i heard it was great, ill get to that soon, never play the other games on your list, well g2g, l8er.

My favorite isn't up there: Grand Turismo 3. Yep, a racing game, what do you know. Awesome graphics, some good songs, and a hard as heck liscense part. The cars had awesome graphics, the tracks were nice, but the crowd was 2-d. GT4 will fix that, though. I also found a new forum because of that game. But aside from that forum's spamalicious(is this a word?) tendencies, i found more about it, some tricks (break out+Escudo=1,379,xxx,xxx,xxx speed). It's sick...and a sick game, too. Check it out.

I personally like Vice City and Grand Theft Auto 3, but the winner for me has to be Dragonball Z games on PS2 and gameboy advanced. Sadly i've never played a Final Fantasy Game the only RPG games i've played are Dark Cloud 1 and 2 and my fav. Kingdom Heart. You forgot Kingdom Hearts u know.

Sorry to say, but I like none of those as my "favorite games".

EA's NHL series and Activision's Tony Hawk Pro Skater Series/Tony Hawk's Underground tie for my favorite games on PSX/PS2. I love hockey, so of course I play EA's games as they are normally the best of them all (Although Sega's ESPN Hockey Night series gave EA a run for their money this year as they had less bugs with online play unlike EA.). Then playing Tony Hawk's Underground online is wicked along with every other feature in THUG with the exception of the too short story mode. Being able to download parks and characters from other players is another plus too in THUG.

Disgaea - Hands down best RPG on the system. I'd also say it's my favorite console RPG of this generation -- all that really gives it competition is on the GBA and KotOR lol... and Suikoden III, too. Of course, I think this will change immensely later on this year. Lots of good RPGs coming for all systems.

Frequency - I've still not bought Amplitude, although I want to. For a long while, this was my favorite PS2 game. I'd have to say it still is. I love playing it. I love the music. I love unlocking things and getting high scores... plus the online expansion makes it all even better. Only music game that comes close is Gitaroo Man. Screw that DDR crap.

Dark Cloud 2 - A massive, massive improvement on the original. I'd say its only flaw is that it simply has too much to do. Not that that's bad, but it can feel overwhelming at times.

Rachet and Clank 2 - I thought the original was incredibly dull, but this game rocks in every way possible. It took all the good parts of the first, multiplied their fun by 100 and added even more. Great game with a great sense of humor.

I'll think of more eventually. I wouldn't even bother with most of the games in the poll lol.

Final Fantasy would have to be my pick, i was gonna go for DBZ, but Budaki 2 kinds sucked.

You just have to get used to the Budaki Mage its pretty good actually and so are the Legacy of Goku games for gba. I was wondering would you be lost if you bought the new final fantasy without buying the others from down to at least 5 or 6. I wanted to get Final Fantasy 10, but since I didn't play the other games I didn't know anything about the characters or storylines. Also next time you make a poll PUT KINGDOM HEARTS ON IT.

hmm for the PS2 id have to say my fav game is probably Dynasty Warriors 4 or Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy 8 (yes thats right 8!!)

But my all time fav game belongs to the Sega Saturn... Panzer Dragoon Saga :D
