AnonymousSource
The group was fast, but the orcs were faster... Denthril knew they had no chance of making it... The thundering clatter of the orc's deathly black armor drew ever nearer... Denthril could just take off, but didn't because if the group gets caught, he would die right along with them and not as a coward being starved all alone! They drew nearer and nearer... Denthril new there was only one way to survive... "Go on!" He shouted as he slowed his pace, turned, and drew his Long swords. "What are you doing?" Gelron yelled as he continued running... "JUST GO!" He shouted... then the orc army seemed to swallow Denthril... and slowed almost to a hault... then raised their arms in victory and continued their charge... but they had already ran far enough ahead to make it to the tower easily... but Denthril, they feared, was now dead, never to battle with them again... Guest phattmasterdj
"We got one, we got one!" one of the Orcs yelled as he ran through the crowed towards his general. "Bring him to me. I want him alive," Salubia stated. "Why my lord?" the Orc asked. "Because, meat is better fresh then old," Salubia laughed. This isn't what he really wanted. Salubia was going to take whomever they captured and bring him to Shrinken in hopes of getting more money and glory then his army. Then, after the interrogation, he would eat the rebellious one on his own. As he looked through the trees at his gloriously tainted army, he knew nothing could beat him. That is until an arrow flew past his head. He slowly turned around and saw something that he feared most. The army of Stygia was there, helping the group of seven as much as they possibly could. When the Stygia army general saw the Orc general staring at his doom, he ordered his archers to fire. Thousands of arrows bombarded the Orcs and forced them to turn around to battle the army. The seven went oblivious to what was going on. Just then Danuke repapered, "Help is here," he gasped out of breath.

Farto the Magic
Danuke watched the elf from the safety of the forest. He was impossibly well hidden. *Poor elf. I wish he was smart like me. He could not even hope to defeat that army. Poor, stupid elf.* He watched as some of the orcs carried his unconcious body away with them and the others ravaged the near-defenseless village. Smoke curled in the air as buildings burned. Screams echoed out as orcs and men met their deaths. Vultures circled overhead. Then a dove came and sat on a fencepost in the middle of the frey. It was odd, seeing a purely benevolent creature in the midst of chaos. Then a shadow fell on the town. A hell-hawk circled the village and shrieked a horrible noise. The dove flew up to escape and was captured in the jaws of the hell-hawk. The dove represented middle-earth and the hell-hawk represented evil. The hawk could do nothing to prevent the groth of evil, or even fight it. The wails of the dove continued as Danuke's courage was roused. He looked up at the dying dove and sprung from his cover. "Hey, foul beasts! You missed one!" A few of the orcs bolted after him, but Danuke ran deeper into the forest. He looked back and spotted no orcs, though he knew they were following him. Danuke climbed a short tree and drew his weapons. Completely concealed by the leafy branches, the orcs walked right past him. There were seven orcs. He knew he could take seven orcs. He silently fell from the tree, drew his warhammer and sword, and crept up on the small band of orcs. One of them sniffed the air. Another one looked at him and asked, "What is it, Gorfang?" The other one looked at him and replied, "We are being stalked." Gorfang gave a chortle and found a steel shaft going through his neck. The other six orcs turned to meet the new enemy. All of them grabbed their weapons and charged. Danuke hit one in the helmet with his warhammer, causing it to dent it, as black blood poured out the eye holes. He parried another orc's blow and hacked it in the side with the spike on the back of his hammer. It stumbled back a few feet and crept forward, this time more cautiously. A fat orc tried it's luck with an ax only to find it's head gone five seconds later. The wounded orc came back and tried to thrust its sword at Danuke. The man side-stepped and struck the orc in the temple with the sword, causing black blood to fly at the other orcs. The orc came to it's feet and swung a wide blow, which was parried. Then Danuke swung around the back of the orc and connected the hammer with the orc's spine in a sickening crunch. One of the orcs drew a bow and fired an arrow at the ranger. It was a narrow miss. Too narrow. Danuke put another orc between himself and the archer. This orc was very short and armed with a flail. Not a good combo. Seriously. The miget orc swung his flail at Danuke, who attempted to parry, but got his sword stuck in the chain. The archer tried to take advantage of the momentary lapse of concentration, but Danuke thrust the short orc in the path of the arrow, killing it instantly. Danuke charged another orc, this one armed with a sword. He attempted to stab, but had his sword blow parried. In frustration, he swung his sword, which was parried, and his hammer, with connected with the orc's neck. It fell to the ground dead. The archer fired another arrow, this one hitting Danuke in the shoulder and going all the way through, sticking in and out both sides. He charged the orc and decapitated it. Grasping his arm, he moved to the wounded orc. He picked it up and found that it was dead. Lucky for it. Next.
Outlaw
*The remaining 5 made it to the top of the tower, not having looked back since Denthril's sacrifice. As they looked out at the orc army, they noticed it had stopped and turned.* Niphredil - I, I dont understand. What is going on there? Gelron - The so called traitor seems to have made a hasty return with the Stygia army. Tanis - Ha! Well I must admitt I was wrong about the boy. Rikan - Yes, but the amry of men is still outnumbered. We must go and help them. Niphredil - Yes, though I don't know how much we can help. We are only 5 against thousands. Gelron - Yes, but there is only one of them that truely matters. Salubia, the orc general. Without him, they are lost, and will scatter back to the mountains and caves from which they came. Niphredil - Well when you say it like that, it doesn't seem so bad. But what about Denthril? Gelron - If he is still alive, he will have surely been taken to Salubia. But we must hurry while the Orcs are still recovering from Stygia's flank. Alcarin - Finally, a battle worthy of my blades. *The warriors made their way towards the enemy, leaving the safety of the tower they had tried so hard to reach. As they approached the army, the Orc forces which had been distracted by the Stygian Army turned to face the 5. The front line was meet by a barrage of arrows from Rikan, Niphredil, and Tanis. Those not fell by the arrows where faced with a wall of fire conjured by Gelron, insinerating a number of orcs. But even as they fell, more took their place.* Rikan - This is madness. There seems to be no end to them. Gelron - Keep hope my friend, for we only need to make our way past a few, not all. Straight forward to Salubia and VICTORY! PWNED
Tanis fired arrow after arrow into the mass of orcs and when he had run out of arrows sang a song to Tyr to imbdue him with power and then charged into the group of orcs cutting down the first few with his sword but just not placing any fear in their ranks. One orc slached him across his cheek which caused Tanis to attack at an even greater rate. Gelron screamed out a string of curses at him but the only one he heard was " What in the nine hells are you doing". and then Tanis as swallowed within the army of orcs but his song never ceased and yet more orcs fell before his sword but there was no hope for him, he was outnumbered, tired and facing Uruk hai. AnonymousSource
An elven man lie upon a table of some sort, his arms bound and chained... he looks up to find 6 grinning orcs gazing down upon him, saliva dripping from their mouths... "Where have you taken me? Where am I?" Denthril moaned wincing from a drop of rancid saliva that had plummeted from one of their mouths. The one right above his head sucked in saliva, a most horrifyingly disgusting sound, and proclaimed deviously, "Master Salubia wanted me to bring you here!" "What for?" Denthil's hand moved ever so slightly behind his back. "To be torchured of course!" The orc gave a piercing high-pitched cackle that made Denthril wince once again. His hand slithered to the left once again. "Well mister orc... you ARE quite intimidating and your rancid breath certainly must make you quite popular with the lady orcs... but I do believe you have one major fault." His right hand raised up and drew the orc's schimitar, while the other one grabbed the orc by the neck; the other 5 jumped back in suprise at the elf's escape, "You tie horrible knots!" With that he kicked out the two orcs by his feet and leapt up and behind the orc, pulling his head around with him, and with a nautious snap of the neck the orc fell to the floor. Denthril looked at the schimitar and then back to the orcs, then he slashed the one to the left in one swift outward movement of the blade. The orc swung around, his blood gushing from the open wound, and falling to the floor in a heap. The third and fourth orcs charged and brought their curved schimitars down upon Denthril, who slipped nimbly between the two. The orcs attempted to bring the blades up to get him again, but only in vain as Denthrils left foot held down the left blade and the stolen schimitar held the other one down. Denthril sidekicked the right on out a nearby window and the other one he impaled with his freed up schimitar. The orc's saliva and blood spurted out his mouth and flew all over Denthril's face, he pulled the dirtied schimitar back out and let the orc fall face-first into the floor. Denthril looked up to the remaining two opponents, seeing one charge him, and then glancing to the table that he used to lay on, seeing his blade magically returned (as was its enchantment). Denthril bypassed the orc and slid up to the table where he grabbed his dagger. The failed attack didn't discourage the fifth attacker, as he ran up to slice the cocky elf in half while he was sliding his hands along his once lost companion. The blade missed its target as Denthril stepped to the right, and as if in slow motion, drew his dagger, tossed it gently (as if just letting go and letting it hover), and shoved it into the openning of the foul orc's jaw, right through and piercing the back of the throat. He noticed the other orc attempting to flee, and with the flip of his wrist, had a dagger impaled in the back of his head. Now Denthril was barely clothed, having only a cloth of what was left of his old elven garment(sp?) which fit like a loin cloth around his belt. "Let's see... Where would my weapons be?" Denthril felt a tingling sensation in his nose. "That's it!" And he followed his sense power, but he'd need to stay low, if he gets caught this time he'd die for sure! Outlaw
*Gelron would not lose another member of his party. He would not let Tanis fall while he still stood.* Gelron - Begone you fowl creatures! *Using his telekinetic force spell, Gelron lifted the small group of orcs inbetween him and Tanis, throughing them to the wayside. This left Tanis open to defend himself. However, Tanis was still exausted, and Gelron knew this. He quickly cast a small healing spell, restoring Tanis' vigor and energy.* Tanis - Thank you my friend Gelron - You are welcome. But dont make me do that again, I havent't the energy or the time to. Now, stay with the group, we must cover our own backs to keep from being flanked!
Farto the Magic
Gelron stood there talking to the elf. As soon as he was done, he felt the hairs on the back of his neck prick. An exhausted voice spoke. "Good idea. Being flanked sucks." Gelron turned to find a ranger standing before him. The man's shirt was soaked in blood and the shaft of an arrow stuck out both sides of his shoulder. His face was slightly pale and his weapons blackened with blood of his enemies. Gelron looked at him, shocked and spoke:"Please, let me heal you." The ranger withdrew. "It is not important. I can heal myself. But the spell I want to cast involves two fine women and a lot of alcohol...The alcohol's for the wound, the women hold me down." Danuke gave a short laugh, then his face turned stone serious. I took care of a few orcs. If we need some armor, I've got enough in the forest over there. He dared not point, for fear that the orcs would charge to the forest, seeing that there's something worth pointing out over there. He stared off into space for a moment, then looked really excited. "We can go around, using our elven cloaks and sneak up on their general. Its genious. What do you think?"
Squall
Rikan paused his rain of arrows, seeing Tanis dissapear and reappear right before his very eyes. Was that the true meaning of courage? He and Denthril, they would both have given their lives if only to save the others, while he had only watched them, like a helpless child paralysed in fear, like a small child. Would he have done the same if his time came, or have the men he spent his childhood with tainted him beyond such pure courage? "Rikan! Keep firing!" He came out of his trance and looked back to see Danuke had returned. He gave a half hearted grin. "So you decided to drop by again! Will you be staying long this time?" "Knock it off and keep those orcs at bay!" He nodded and started firing off arrows again at the advancing orcs. They were like a wave, drawing slightly closer by every passing second. They couldn't keep this hold long, Rikan would run out of arrows and resurt to his elven sword. There was a pause in the lines, as an orc blinded by one of Rikan's arrows started flailing madly about, hacking about the other orcs who beat him down and tried to grab a quick feast. Rikan took advantage of the pause to side-step along the ground, collecting Orc arrows that had missed their targets. "Do we have a plan here, or are we just hoping for some breeze of luck to pass our way?" He asked back to Gelron, continuing his barrage.
Farto the Magic
Danuke stood by the Stygian army. He gave out commands. "You, send your horses around to the right side. We can try to drive them away from the city." The man looked at the ranger and replied, "We have no horse!" The ranger looked to the magician. "Call our group back. We will continue the trek. We'll go around the army and assassinate the general. I'm not sure if you can pull our group out of that battle, but try to. If you can't, we leave them. This mission will not fail. I won't let it. As for the elf that sacrafised himself. His problems are over. Ours have just begun. Stab a stick into the ground, write his name on it, and lets move." Everyone else's jaw dropped upon seeing that this cowardly ranger had attempted to take control.
Guest phattmasterdj
"The armies are failing. We can't keep up with these Orcs," one of the king's servants stated. "I know, but we have to try. Summon the rest of the armies, leave only two solders to guard me. The rest must go," the king replied. "But lord," the servant started. "No, it must be done. Either that, or all of Stygia will be gone, and I will be left to rule over nothing. "Yes my lord," the servant said as he bowed low. The servant walked out of the Great Hall to summon the rest of the army. Meanwhile at the Orc General's post: "Things are going nicely. But I see flaws in how you are attacking the seven. Retreat, then surround the woods and attack that way. Push them into the middle, then they will be defenseless," Salubia ordered at one of his captains. "Of course general, it will be done," the captain replied as he backed away. The men were holding off the Orc swarms at the front line, but just barely. Soon they would be able to fulfill their new orders and destroy the seven once and for all.

Retreat, then surround the woods and attack that way. Push them into the middle, then they will be defenseless," "Of course general, it will be done," The voices in the other room stated. Of course! They're gonna kill them... that's great! Denthril sighed... What do I do? Denthril saw on the table, his elven shortsword and his duel longswords...Ah man! How do I get them now? Salubia's gaurding them like a hawk... and I barely stand a chance against him WITH my full armour and strength... I don't even have a weapon beyond my tiny dagger and worthless Schimitar... Denthril slumped around the corner; Now my comrades have to die... Just because I can't think on my own! Elbereth, give me something... anything! "Well well... let's go check on our guest... what do you say?" That's it! Denthril looked to the sky, and then prepared for the men to leave. Salubia left with 4 of his elite orcs, and the General prepared to leave and do as he was ordered. Two other orcs sat near the doorway Salubia walked through. Denthril leapt to action, first throwing his dagger swiftly to the General walking out, striking his left shoulder squarly. With the left arm he threw the schimitar that impaled the far right gaurd strait in the cheast... disrupting his breathing and causing blood to flood into his lungs. "Well... Not as I had aimed for, but it will work!" He grabbed his Longswords and short then turned and slashed with his swiftly drawn longsword, removing the head of both orcs (which includes the previously impaled one.). With that very same sword, he shut the large doors and held them closed with his Longsword... He heard Salubia and his orcs trying to pull the door open, to no avail. Denthril turned and saw the orc General pull the elven dagger out of his shoulder wound, causing black blood to gush down his arm. "Should have killed me! You fool!" The general hissed. "You shouldn't have threatened my comrads..." Denthril charged, as he drew his elven blade, and swiftly removed the general's head. "You're safe for now, my friends!" Denthril sighed in relief. BANG! BANG! BANG! "They have a battering ram? In a castle?" Denthril muttered, then waisted no time in turning and dashing for the stairs. It would be no time before he reached the group once again, at least with his speed it would! He put on his armour and shoes as he ran, then out the door he dashed for the mountains, it would be dawn by the time he reached the battlefield, but not a minute into nightfall... of that he was sure! The_Ghost
Alcarin was toward the right edge of the battle. She was fighting carefully, not with the full rage that was usually her style. This is only a distraction, not the objective She thought as she made short work of a fat orc to her left. Keep your eyes on the prize, assassinating the general An Uriki appeared on her right without warning, and nearly hit her in the back of the head. She ducked at the last second and stabbed up into the creature?s belly. She then pulled her other sword and lopped his head off. She turned to she how the rest of the battle was going (being careful to stay alert to potential attackers) when she noticed Danuke was just standing there. He seemed to be telling everyone else what to do, too. Alcarin rolled her eyes and ran over to where he and Gelron where at. ?Why, hello Danuke, you sure do like to boss people around, don?t you?? Danuke, being self-confident as usual, just smirked. ?Well, I just came up with a plan, so I wouldn?t be sassy if I were you. Our group is going to go around the army and assassinate the general.? He nodded to emphasize his point. ?Easier said than done.? She paused. ?At least it?s a plan.? Suddenly she heard a noise coming over the ridge. She recognized the sound almost immediately. Horses ?The Calvary is here!? Gelron cried out. Soon at least two legions of men appeared over the ridge. They rode into the orcs and began to fight viciously. She glanced over the fighting and tried to pick out some of the members of the group. ?I think this is the moment we were waiting for. Let?s try to gather the group. We?ll try to sneak through the woods and get behind the army.? Alcarin yelled, already heading into the hellish fight.
Outlaw
*Gelron gave chase to the anxious Alcarin. "Why," he thought, "are these youths always in such a hurry when they felt they were in charge. Is their desire for glory so great that they would through away reason to attain it?" But these were inquires for another time. For now, he had more pressing matters. Suddenly, Gelron felt a sharp shift in the balance of good and evil in the world. For the past few months, the side of evil had been growing as Shriken's armies grew and conquered Stygia. However, the power of evil had suddenly depleted, which could mean only one thing, the orc general Salubia had been slain. "But how...?" he pondered. It could only be Denthril. He must have somehow escaped and assassinated the general. But now Gelron feared that he Denthril would be in even greater danger, alone against an unrelenting legion of orcs seaking vengence. Gelron - Quickly, we must make our way to the castle tower between the woods and the battle feild. That is were we will find both or quarry and allie. Danuke - How can you be so sure? *Gelron had no time to explain, so rather than use reason, he resorted to intimidation. His voice bellowed as he spoke.* Gelron - DO NOT CHALLENGE THE WISDOM OF A WIZARD FOOL. NOW GO! *The group seemed shoked, but were not about to stop and further anger the magician. As they ran, they swept thrugh various pockets of resistance, easily eliminating those in their way with swift swings of swords and staffs, hastening to Denthril's aid. Farto the Magic
As they got closer to the castle, they realised the sheer magnitude of the situation. The castle was looming over them like a great mountain. The burnt ruins of a battering ram lay about twenty feet in front of the brave travelers. A few orcs stood in the tower with bows, grinning. They would first have to get through the door, which would be difficult. On top of that, the door had a stone ceiling above it extending out ten feet. There were holes in the ceiling used for dumping boiling oil and rocks on attackers. Boiling oil sucks.
AnonymousSource
"GET DOWN YOU FOOLS!" The group heard from behind them.. it was Denthril! Denthril had almost reached the mountains when he noticed the group go past him, so he had been yelling at them and running for some time... they finally heard! "Denthril, how did you do it?" Gelron patted the elf on the back, upon falling face down to avoid the arrows... "Do what?" Denthril looked at the wise wizard with his head cocked to the side... arrows rained down like acid above them... hitting close to, but not on, the group every time. "Why... kill Salubia of course! I felt it..." Gelron grinned "What?" Denthril was even more confused, the wise wizard felt him killing Salubia... but how? "I never killed him... I only killed the general who was bringing a strategy to conquer you, I cut Salubia off by barring the door with my spare Longsword." "Then what could I have felt?" Gelron looked on at the castle, the orcs had held their fire now, and were now most likely in the process of spotting them right now... eventually they'd begin their fire agian, and less blindly! "Perhaps Shrinkin is more powerful then we thought, and even has the ability to mess with the mind of a Wizard!" Denthril drew his dagger... and whipped it at what looked like the leader of the archers, who fell from his perch immediatly. "Perhaps we'll have to see him fall to know for sure... or maybe something else happened. If you didn't kill him, maybe someone else did..." Gelron grabbed his staff, "I know what I felt, and I won't leave the castle until I see him dead!" "I'm all over that one!" Alcarin grinned, as she to drew her weapon... "After you... Wise Wizard..." Denthril nodded to Gelron, and then to Danuke.
Farto the Magic
Danuke laughed. "Am I not wise, elf? If I recall, I wasn't caught by the orcs." Danuke thought again. For the fourth time in his life. *I have to get in the castle. But how? Catapult? No, it's impractical. Climb around the back? No, the orcs are dumb, but not that dumb. Storm the castle? Are you nuts? Do you like hot oil? Would you like to be burnt to a crisp? Ooh! I can use my elven cloak to get up the back! Then I can throw any archers off the castle and the others can climb. Its better than nothing. I wish the orcs had wooden spikes for a wall. Then archers die so much quicker.* He looked at the group. "I got a half-assed plan to get us in. It's not practical or intelligent, but it might work and it'll make me look better than you. Not that I already don't." He gave a grin and turned into the woods, not listening to the others. PWNED
Tanis held his position easily, but the orcs seemed to be holding back as if waiting for something. His eyes flickered towards the orc castle where the orcs had started hooting at something, He then began walking backwards when a pair of red dragons flew out of the castle aiming at the seven. Tanis screamed out, " get down they have Dragons", Rikan whirled around trying to catch sight of the Dragons but the two had already flown too high to be seen. Gelron knew better though and orderd everyone to scatter, Tanis could barely move let alone run since he was inflicted with the lightest amount of dragonfear. Guest phattmasterdj
"Hahahhahahahhahaha. The time of the apocalypse is coming soon. Evil will prevail. Evil lives on forever. There is no earth with out evil. It rules you all, and governs your lands. It fears nothing," a voice bellowed out as a final dragon flew over head. The group didn't know what to do, and Tanis dove to the ground as the dragon shot fire at him. He rolled all over, as his cloths were burning in an inferno of poisonous fire. Gelron ran over and pulled his cloths off to keep Tanis alive. Then a shower of arrows fell upon Tanis and Gelron, making them run for cover as fast as they could. Evil has prevailed this day, but the seven would not let it for long.
Outlaw
*Gelron and Tanis hudled behind a large oak in the woods surrounding the castle. Gelron could see the scars and burns on Tanis' body, he was obviously in pain.* Tanis - Can you still heal me. Gelron - I need to save my strength to stop those dragons. I'm sorry, but you will have to rely on your own strength for now. Tanis - Stop the dragons. But how? Gelron - Do not worry, a wizard has his ways. Go and find the others, and tell them to ready there bows. *Gelron swiftly made his way from his hinding space in the woods as Tanis went off to find the others. Gelron stoped in the middle of a large clearing in front of the castle. Removing his thick brown cloak, Gelron revealed the bodly red robe he wore underneith. He raised his staff to the sky, calling on the red dragons which had attacked them.* Gelron - HEAR ME MINIONS OF EVIL. YOU HAVE INTERFIERED WITH OUR NOBEL QUEST, AND FOR THAT YOU MUST PAY! *The dragons appeared suddenly from the thick clouds overshadowing the castle. They dove towards Gelron, obviously angered by the wizard's words. As they opened their mouths, the dragons seemed to be choking on their own flames. Gelron continued to focus on containing the dragons flames within their own throats as he awaited the attack from the other.*
Farto the Magic
Danuke wentto the back of the castle. He looked at his opposition: three orcs with bows and two men, easterlings by the look of them. They were standing on an outcropping of the wall. It'd be easy to climb, but difficut to get to the top. Danuke looked at what he had to work with: a sword, a hammer, and a dagger. He heard off in the distance: "HEAR ME MINIONS OF EVIL. YOU HAVE INTERFIERED WITH OUR NOBEL QUEST, AND FOR THAT YOU MUST PAY!" The orcs and men turned their heads and looked for a better view. Danuke bolted to the castle. He looked for footing and began his climb. It was not the most difficult he had, but not easy. Many times, he nearly fell. At last, he got to the outcrop on the top of the castle. He was so close, he could smell the orcs. He had to wait for another diversion, though. Then he had to dispose of the bodies. The dragons flew overhead and dove at the ground. This was his chance! He flipped up on the ledge and the orcs' eyes widened in surprise. He took one swing with his hammer and one of the archers fell to his death. The other two archers loaded arrows into their bows. The easterlings charged him. He had his warhammer in one hand and his sword in the other. The first easterling swung at him, he blocked with both weapons, kicked the enemy in the groin, and brought the back of his hammer down on the easterling's head, causing blood to flood down his helmet and to the stone floor. Then he brought his sword up and hit the poor man in the face with the blade. The second easterling charged him. He took a swing. Danuke swung his hammer and sword. The hammer stopped the blade. The sword hit the fingers. The easterling dropped his sword as Danuke went around the back and slit the man's throat. (Discriptive, eh?) The two archers both took shots. One bounced off his single shoulder pad, the other missed. Danuke grabbed one of the easterlings and carried him like a shield. Arrow after arrow hit the dead man's chest. Danuke walked until he was five feet from them and they were reloading. Then he tossed the dead man off the castle and swung broad strokes killing both archers. He all their bodies off the castle, except the man who had his throat slit. He stole the man's armor. He gave his call and hoped the others would recognize him. Two orcs passed by him as he wore the new armor. He looked at them as they passed then snuck up behind them. He swung at one's head and killed him instantly, he kicked the other off the castle to it's well-deserved death. He watched as it flailed it's arms to try and grab something, though it was futile. The orc's eyes widened in fear as it hit the ground with a sickening thud, a black pool slowly creeping over the grass.
AnonymousSource
With his elven eyes Denthril caught a glimpse of Danuke killing orc after orc, and to his right Gelron's strength faded... he could feel it. He looked back to Danuke, NO! he saw an easterling, two levels up, approximately, preparing his bow to snipe out Denuke, who was oblivious to the man. Now what? Denthril had to think fast... In one hand his dagger, the other his short sword...Danuke's life is in danger, he's in the most strategic position. Gelron I'll help as well, but this must be done first... Denthril took off after one of the dragons, who dove at him as well... Denthril lept atop the Dragon, but continued running, and let his blade slide between the Dragons hard scales as he ran. Denthril reached the tail just as the Dragon's enormous head veered around to torch the elf, now about a houndred feet into the air, Denthril lept toward the tree line simultaneously to the Dragon letting his flame fly, scorching no one but himself... As Denthril fell he let his dagger fly as well, the dragon's cry of pain, and sudden death had caught the Easterling's attention, briefly, but before he could let the arrow fly, the dagger struck his arm. This ruined his aim, causing the arrow to soar to the far right of Danuke, which gave him the perfect opportunity to strike, sending the Easterling to the plunging death that so many had met before him... Denthril grabbed a high tree branch, falling to his feet, looking to Danuke, who saluted him, and continued up. More distractions, he needs to make it up! He ran to Gelron's side... "Let's finish the final pair, we need to make sure Danuke makes it up!" "Precisely..." Gelron nodded.
Farto the Magic
Danuke quickly slipped into the easterling armor. It wasn't bulky at all. It was actually kind of comfortable. He marched toward the top of the castle. Nearing a doorway, three easterling guards ran the opposite way. Danuke grabbed one of them by the arm and asked him a question. "Where is the general? The intruder has been killed. I shoved him off the wall to his death. I wish to return the enemy's weapons to the general." The easterlings looked over the castle wall and saw an easterling, stripped of gear. They mistook him for the "intruder". One of them turned back. "Good work. The general is in the tallest part of the castle, plotting to destroy these pathetic rebels." Danuke gave a laugh and noticed that one of the men kept staring at him. The man asked. "Why is there blood on the neck of your armor? You should get a medic." Danuke panicked and swung his hammer, hitting one of the men in the side and pushed the other, who nearly went off the castle. The ranger swung his sword down, cleaving the man in the head with the sharp blade. Danuke ran through the doorway and passed a few orcs on the way up to the tower. He hoped that they would cause enough of a distraction to get the soldiers to go down there. Then he could have the general to himself. *Maybe it was a good trade-off. Women for blood. You still mustn't marry the maiden when you get back the Stygia. No fun in that. Women complain and argue. Blood only cries out when you strike a man for the last time. As great as it would be to get with one of these women, blood is your only love for now. Yes, blood. And this cool armor. Too bad you had to dump most of your clothes off the castle when you changed. My elven cloak will remain with me, though. Stuffed in my chest plate. These helmets really aren't so bad, either.* He marched up flight after flight of stairs, all the while passing orc and man alike. As long as you don't make eye contact, they wouldn't stop him. He carried his arms outstretched, holding his hammer. His dagger was safely hidden in his boot and his sword was sheathed. The climb was treacherously steep at times. At one point, he didn't see any soldiers. He heard nothing. At last, he reached the enemy planning-room. He saw a window covered in bars and a large wooden door. He could hear voices inside. They were talking strategy. He crawled below the window and set his hammer on the ground. If anyone walked by, he could say that he dropped it and was picking it up. He cocked his head to hear the generals strategising in the other room...
AnonymousSource
Denthril motioned to Gelron...\ "What do we do?" He watched the Dragons circle, as vultures do while waiting for something to slowly die. "Wait... they'll attack soon... hopefully others will join us!" Gelron watched as intently as Denthril did. "Hopefully!" Denthril repeated... ---------------------------------------------------------- That's a que, by the way... Do you know how impossible it is to fight one on one with a dragon!
