Tanis winced in pain as he stood up and then began heading towards the cliffs, his hand reaching down the front of his tunic to bring out his holy symbol and began muttering a prayer to Tyr so that his wounds would at least close up.

He noted that the Dragons were beginning to circle lower which gave him a chance of attracting the attention of the Dragon riders.
Once Tanis reached the cliff he called out to the dragons in elvish "Come out foolish cowards and feel the wrath of Tyr".
One of the dragons swooped down to the ledge so that it's easterling rider could jump onto the cliff and then swooped back up to help the other Red dragon.
Tanis smiled grimly and then shouted, "I shall not fall for as long as i have Tyr's power flowing through me". The Easterling laughed and then shouted back, "Well we shall have to see how long Tyr stays with you then". The easterling pulled his Halberd off his shoulder and then rushed at Tanis.

Tanis parried the first blow from the Easterling returning the fierce cut with an even fiercer stab which was knocked away by the easterlings armour. This contiued until Tanis was too angry to keep on parrying and clove the easterlings halberd in half following up with a kick which knocked the easterling offbalance revealing the weak point in the armour where he jammed his sword through the gap and into the chest of his foe causing the easterling to fall fowards onto the ground burying the sword even further until the blade was stopped by the armour.

Tanis removed his sword and sheathed it then donned the Easterlings armour leaving the Dragon Rider lying on the cliff.
Tanis walked to the edge and called out to the Riderless dragon in as good of an Easterling accent as possible, climbed on to the dragons back and let his plan fold out.

Dragons. Why did it have to be dragons? Alcarin stepped up beside Denthril, pondering their situation as she did. "I've got an idea! How about we have someone run out there, diverting the dragons' and their riders' attentions away from Danuke and the rest of the party. Then the rest of us can attack from behind."

"Great idea." Gelron nodded. Alcarin smiled proudly. "You can be the diversion."

Her eyes widened. "Uhm, ah, uh, no, uh..." She sputtered.

"Oh c'mon, you can do it." Denthril patted her back.

"It's not a question of whether not I can, It's just..."

"Good, then go." Denthril pushed her on her way.

"Stupid, no good, lazy..." Alcarin muttered under her breathe as she tried to sneak around the field. Suddenly she looked up and noticed something was amiss. One dragon had stopped circling, and the rider looked strangely familiar. It's Tanis!

Before she could yell it to the others, a different dragon swooped down to attack her. She ducked and rolled, the dragon's fire missing her by inches. The dragon's tail whipped around and hit her, slamming her against a tree and knocking the wind out of her.

Struggling to breathe, she pulled her dagger out of her boot and threw it, carefully aiming for the rider's heart. The rider thought she was knocked out and wasn't facing her. He slumped over, dead. Still slightly struggling for breath, she jumped upon the dragon's back. The dragon took off, and Alcarin didn't have a good enough hold. She fell to the ground, again getting the wind knocked out of her. "Well, so much for that," she coughed, lying flat on her back.

Tanis drew his sword slowly and motioned for the dragon to fly higher up than the third dragon that had just swooped out of the keep. Tanis held his sword so that he could plunge it through the skull of the beast into the brain.
The dragon plunged to the ground but before the dragon passed the other he leapt onto the other dragonrider swiping off the foes head, releasing the Dragonrider from the concentration of holding onto the reins.
But Tanis slipped up missing out on landing on the saddle. Tanis' arms whiped out grabbing hold of the reins, dangling precauciosly over the ground.

Danuke overheard the general's conversation: they meant to flank the soldiers and drive them into the hands of more orcs. It was a good strategy. Suddenly, the door opened and a high-ranking official stopped. He looked at Danuke and asked, 'What are you doing out here? You should be helping the fight. Get out there, now!"
Danuke stared at the official. "I dropped the weapon I was going to deliver. It is the weapon of the indruder. I killed him and stole his weapon to glorify the generals. I figured it might help me get some rank."
The official stared at him like he was mad. "Give me the weapon."
Danuke's eyes went from furtive to hellish in two seconds flat. He walked past the official and into the room. He looked around: four orcs and two easterlings stood around a table arguing. The easterlings had gold around the edges of their helmets and the orcs were missing hands, fingers, feet, eyes, etc. He presented himself to the generals. "M'lord, I have brought you the weapon of the intruder. I hope it will honor you. May I bring many more weapons to your graces."
The generals all stared at him. Danuke started to sweat. They didn't react. He might be a dead man. He glanced out a window briefly and saw a white dove. His eyes went from hellish to cunning. One of the easterling generals stepped forward and spoke. "Congradulations. You will be promoted once the war is over. Tell me, what is your name and rank?"
Danuke began to sweat profusely. At last he spoke up. "My name is Zargonev. I am a mere guard here."
The general stared at him. Then spoke. "Good work."
The orcs went back to their planning and all the men turned around except the official. The official turned and escorted him back down the stairs. Danuke took this time to plot. He turned casually and asked the man, "What is your name?"
The official gave no reply.
Danuke snuck a ways behind the official, drew his knife, and rammed it in the man's neck. The official went down and Danuke dragged him into a room. Danuke switched their uniforms and cleaned his weapons. They were filthy. He went back to the room where the genrals were and waited in a corner. Danuke wanted to hack the generals to pieces, but avoided this strategy as it was likely to get him killed. These were generals, not mindless soldiers. They were likely to gang up on him. For now, he'd have to wait.

Denthril ran past Alcarin, "Good work! You make a great diversion!" He smiled then went on faster, after the dragon that Tanis was dangling from...

"Drop Tanis!" Denthril yelled, Tanis looked at him, and then nodded... Denthril was stronger then he looked, so snagging Tanis and putting him down with out losing a step was easy, but before he did he whispered.

"If I were you I wouldn't try that again, though it was a good idea, Dragons answer to no rider... we took out 1, help me with one of the last two... I have a plan."

He whispered the plan, the general jist of the idea was that Denthril would run around with his swords out, the shiny weapons would attract both Dragons' attentions, so the first one to reach him, Tanis would pierce his eye with an arrow, causing it to go crazy... giving Denthril time to stab the other eye then plant his sword beneath his throat... where the scales were less strong!

Tanis agreed and shot for the woods... the only problem, was the other one... which he hoped Alcarin, Gelron, and company would pelt with arrows and magic... maybe catching it off gaurd as well...

With a quick pray to Elbereth and two swift motions, Denthil had both blades out and was flying toward the middle of the field... but close enough for Tanis to have an easy shot at the Dragon...

The Valar were overwhelmed with prays on that day...

*Gelron quickly realized Denthril's plan. While very dangerous, it seemed a common trend amoungst younger warriors. While he knew it was risky, he trusted Denthril's blade and Tanis' bow. He could now focus souly on one dragon.*

Gelron - Rikan, Alcarin, Niphredil, to me!

*The other warriors quickly gathered by the Wizard.*

Rikan - What is it Gelron?

Gelron - Tanis and Denthril can handle the other dragon. I can take down the other one, but it will drain me considerably. You must finish it off.

Alcarin - Ofcourse wizard. Just tell us where to go.

Gelron - Stay here, you'll know when to attack.

*Gelron quickly stabbed the ground with his staff, raising a blistering white light which forced the warriors to avert their eyes. He than looked to the sky, and the gaze of the other three followed. Above them, the third dragon hovered, preparing to strike. It had been attracted by the light, and now opened its mouth to attack. A blazing fire erupted from the beast, but did not travel far.*

*Gelron again stabbed the ground with his staff, replacing the blinding white light with a blinding red light. The stream of fire split in two, shotting back towards the dragon. The two flames struck the dragons wings with such an intensity that he could no long fly. The dragon plumeted to the ground, landing hard on its side.*

*Gelron fell to his knees, leaning hard on his staff for support. His breath was heavy and sweat poured from his blow. The other three warriors realized now was their time to strike as they sprinted towards the dragon.*

Denthril saw the other Dragon go down, Thank you, Gelron!

The elf breathed a sigh of relief... on dragon was enough, two would be far harder... Now I just hope Alcarin and all of them can take it down!

Denthril could almost feel the Dragon breathing down his neck... he looked to the left, and Tanis was preparing for the right moment, as was Denthril

Tanis nocked an orcan arrow that he had 'liberated' from a corpse's quiver and muttered "Tyr, Guide my shot". Tanis fired twice, one arrow bouncing off the dragons eyelid, the other piercing the thin membrane over the eye causing the dragon to stomp dangerously.
Tanis shouted loudly "Now Denthril"

While the group was preoccupied with the dragons, the human army?s fell. The last warrior doubled over as an arrow hit him square in the stomach.
"It seems these seven are stronger then I had thought. Send the Uruki. If even half the army should fall, send the first army of half-breeds. I want them dead, all of them. Even our, how to put it, friend shall fall before the day's end. He has failed me, and you all know failures are unacceptable," Shrinken laughed as he addressed his most loyal henchmen, Rechen.
"Yes my lord, your will be done," Rechen replied.
Rechen walked towards the Generals and gave the orders. The Uruki left immediately, running non-stop. The half-breeds sent several scouts, staggering them to get the message back as quickly as possible of when they should head into battle.

Danuke watched the generals plot and plan of the way to destroy Stygia. The orcs wanted to storm the place and swarm the whole countryside, while the easterlings wanted to send a small army of half-orcs down to the enemy city and flank the opposition. Both were good ideas, but Danuke neede to find out what their final idea was. He had considered trying to kill the genrals, but these were generals. Generals don't get where they are by being stupid. It wasd a lesson learned the hard way a long time ago. It is not easy to kill an enemy general in combat. The orcs, he could probably take. The easterlings, though. They would be good. He would need some help. He had considered using Tanis or Denthril, but had another idea...

The ranger ran down the steps and nearly fell many times. When he got to the point where his comrades were, he stopped and took off his helmet brielfy. He looked at Alcarin. So sweet. She could be useful. Generals, after much time trying to decide how to crush an enemy, need to relax. The company of a woman would more than get the attention of one of them. Plus, she could be used as back-up. Those orcs were crippled and most lost hands and feet. Easy prey. He leaned over the wall, took out his warhammer and shouted, "Hey, Alcarin! You want to help?!"

(Sorry. It's the only idea I could think of.)

Denthril grinned at the elf who had just planted his arrow among the beast's eye.

"Good shot, Tanis!" Denthril, then looked at the dragon, who had his other eye fixed on Denthril...

So he swiftly swept out of range of that eye... to see the dragon blood dripping from the open eye wound. He swiftly stayed in that area; when the dragon moved, he did as well to stay in the blind spot.

Eventually Denthril leapt onto the dragon's back, then drew his shortsword, so beautifully crafted, and planted it into his remaining eye...

The dragon went insane, throwing his head all over. It was a miracle that Denthril was able to leap off the crazed being... He then watched as the dragon fell onto his back... leaving the unprotected underside perfectly ungaurded.

Praise Vala! He grinned eagerly, then jammed both of his blades into the throat of the beast, and then, after a quick quorter twist to either side, removed them and watched as the dragon gasped for breath, choking on his own blood... and then ceased his movements... laying in a puddle of blood!

It wasn't pretty... none could deny that, but it was successful... the dragon was dead.

Just then Denthril winced with a sense of unease...

"No..." Denthril moaned... He looked to the North "Uruk Hai!" Armies of them...

"To the castle..." Gelron shouted, it was their only protection... and only hope of winning.

I just hope Dankuke cleared a path! Denthril winced at the possibility of being kept in there once again.

The Elven paladin looked to the north only to have the horizon blotted out by fifty score of Orcish defenders, and shouted out that the odds were close to 100 to 1
Tanis leapt over the neck of the dragon corpse praying like hell that the beast didnt become a Draconlich and sprinted towards the keep only to stop short at a near vertical wall.

By the time Gelron had reached the wall, Tanis had found his only way up on the southern side where there was only one gap in the castle no larger than a window. Tanis had gotten stuck in the window and required help to slip out.

The Uruk Hai ran down from the hills at the order of their general, trampling over everything in their path. Only trees and buildings survived. Shacks, fences, even peasants were ran over, killed, or destroyed. Uruk Hai don't get tired, and feel no pain, no fear, not anything. The only things they think of is obeying their commander, and killing the enemy, no matter the cost. As soon as they got close enough to be well in sight, the rest of the group felt the fear that Denthril felt. Just the sight of new army was enough for a man to run or commit suicide. The sight of an army that didn't even know what fear and pain was really getting them down. They did manage to get into the tower, but the Orc army general and three of the captains, along with their top guards were in there as well. The group was really in for the hardest time of their life.

*The seven found themselves in a terrible predicament. If they fought the general, the army would surly catch and slaughter them. However, if they ran now, they might have a chance to escape. Gelron's mind raced back and forth between the options, and he could see that the others were doing the same.*

Rikan - Nows our chance. We must take down Salubia now!

Alcarin - But what about the army. If we leave now, we may be able to get away.

Gelron - NO! We must stop Alcarin NOW! You six attack. I trust your combined skills can defeat Salubia and his guards.

Tanis - What about your master Gelron?

Gelron - I must find a way for us to escape.

*With that, Gelron lept from the far ledge into the woods below. He used him magic to cusion his fall, and sprinted into the forest.*

Salubia - Ha! It seems the wizard is smarter than he looks. You sould run while you can. You dont have a chance at survival.

Danuke - He's right! Gelron has abandoned us. Its hopeless, we must run now!

Tanis - Nay, the wizard left for a reason. And we have a mission. WE MUST STOP SALUBIA!

*With that, Tanis drew his blade and prepared to strike, waiting for the others to follow suit.*

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Deep in the forrest, Gelron found what he had been searching for. An ancient tree, climbing for nearly a mile into the air. The tip disappeared into the clouds. Gelron slammed his staff on the ground again, the stone at the end lighting up yet again. Gelron used his magic to create a narrow mesa from the ground beneath his feet. The mesa rose into the air alongside the tree, hurtiling him hundreds of feat in the air.*

Gelron - I hope hes still here.

Tanis was the first to engage the guards and his first foe was an ugly half-orc who weilded a fine battleaxe.
Tanis stepped in with a straightfoward thrust beliving that a half-orc would be not much trouble, only to have his broad sword swatted away followed up by a strike to the face using the butt of the axe as a weapon. Tanis staggered backwards giving anough time for a verbeerg (A small type of giant ) weilding a pair of scythes to step in and kick Tanis even further away.
Tanis whirled into a low vertical slash then changed it into a horizontal hack, burying the sword into the half-orcs skull.

The Verbeerg slowed his aproach seeing how easily his companion was removed, cutting his left handed scythe low while bringing his right handed Scythe down towards Tanis's head. This attack routine came upon him impossibly fast but to Tanis who had faced the whirring blades of the Balor Errtu and this could not compare. Tanis stabbed into the giants fat covered arm, wrenching his Tanis' blade from his grasp leaving Tanis unarmed and the Verbeerg barely wounded.

Tanis dived into a roll grabbing his sword and facing the giant. The Verbeerg swore at the elf and said "Ere now no more of yuir funny stuff, Let's see how you do in a fair fight".The giant suddenly stopped short as i grunted and its back jerked foward as Alcarin's sword slipped through and then turned fowards to see Tanis' sword slip through his ribs.

Tanis looked into the giants puzzled expression and awnsered the giants look with the question "What in the nine hells made you think i would fight fair". The Verbeerg collasped in the last spasms of life letting his sword slide out giving easy access to removing the sword.Tanis breathed out in happiness as the apparently most skillful of the guards slid to the ground

Danuke quickly ran back to the castle and grabbed the uniform of a few easterling guards. He threw them down on a pile and continued to the leaders' quarters. One of the orcs was lauging and pointed out the window as the seven companions ran in all directions. Danuke laughed nervously and the orc went by him. He climbed the steps and decided that, should he survive, his house will not have steps. He went into the generals' plotting room and informed one of them that the group had dispersed. The general laughed and turned back. One of the orcs said, "So, we are going to have the Uruk Hai run them straight into the half-orcs? Genius!"
Danuke's face turned pale. He sunk down a bit and one of the orcs walked away. One of the generals told the ugly beast to send forth the half-orcs. Danuke followed slowly behind it...
