Transtic Nerve
Originally posted by Anna Transtic- I just barely noticed that in your sig. I guess I'll be honest and say that I don't agree with the whole bisexual and homosexual notion. I personally think that it isn't right, but please understand that though I may disagree with someone's choice, that doesn't mean that I am 'condemning' them or think that they are a 'bad' person. I still like you Transtic, in fact my opinion of you hasn't changed at all. And I admire your courage to be open with people. :) sexuality in general- I think it was James who said it, but it was brought up somewhere that one doesn't choose their sexuality and that they're born with it. I disagree, we all have the capactiy to consciously make decisions about everyhting we do. Some people might think that they were born homosexual or something, but it's because of environmental stimulis; there are a number of factors that influence a child's mentality when they are young, and those impressions stay with them for life, and they grow up thinking there's nothing they can do about it. But I think that homosexuality simply isn't meant to be, and that counseling could help one who was confused with their sexuality.
ok, well let me respond to those two things.... The first paragraph.... yes I know you and ALOT of people disagree with bisexuality or homosexuality, and thats all fine by me. One of my best friends on the net feels the same way. Sometimes it's personal reasons, other times it's religious or whatever.... really I don't care if you think it's wrong for me to be that way, as long as you can accept the fact i am, and I can't change.... cause this is me and I cannot change me..... no one can change who they really are...... they can pretend to be something they aren't but inside you are and always will be the same person.... The second paragraph..... I will totally disagree.... i DID NOT make the choice to be Bisexual.... tell me this..... why would someone choose to be hated by people? Gay people are hated, I have a boyfriend, so basically I'm in a gay relationship, so why would I choose to be hated?.... See it makes no sense.... also.... If we choose to be Bisexual or gay, thats means, only logically that you and other chose to be heterosexual..... so tell me..... what were you before you chose to be heterosexual? I know for a fact I've always liked boy and girls.... I know it.... I know it's not something i chose..... like I said, why would I choose to be hated and disrespected like that.... it makes no sense.... It's the way I feel inside and going back to what I said before "....I can't change.... cause this is me and I cannot change me..... no one can change who they really are...... they can pretend to be something they aren't but inside you are and always will be the same person....".... That says it all... I cannot change the fact I am Bisexual.... it's who I am.... no matter for how long I pretended to be heterosexual or whatever you all thougt I was.... i was still Bisexual... i have ALWAYS been bisexual.... Let me also point out I'm not offended by what you said, I just think you don't quite understand as well as I do or any other gay or bisexual person. Believe me, you really don't know. You are straight I'm presuming, so you really don't have a fair say as to what we think or if we chose or didn't choose to be the way we are..... I was just saying all that to somewhat enlighten you in the way I feel about this and what I've felt... and what I am.... As for what the picture is trying to tell you.... I dunno.... gackt, the guy on the right has basically openly said he has had boyfriend and is Bi.... i think him and Yu, the guy on the left, have a relationship that isn't public but there for you to decide.... In the Vanilla live concert, he did something similar to that, except he was clothes and it was with his guitarist..... He went between his legs and had his head in the crotch of the other guy, then the other guy did it to gackt as well in the middle of the concert.... it wasn't like they were preforming oral sex, it was just part of the show, and the women.... the crowd was full of girls and Oh man, did they ever love that..... You must also realize bisexuality and homosexuality are widely accepted in Japan as being completely normal and sometimes even better.... sure you'll have the people who don't like it but it's Nothing compared to the way Americ treats it.... Also Hentai is sex.... like I said before.... playboy and playgirl magazines forcus on one thing, Turning the viewer on by showing sexual body parts that one doesn't see everyday walking the streets..... hentai works the same way.... it turns the viewer on, just in this case the person in the pictures are animated.... it makes no real difference.... they aren't showing affection in hentai.... well not always, it's more about the act of sex or showing of parts in a sexual way to stimulate the viewer..... And plus the meaning of the word hentai, which is pervert, pretty much gives it away.... if you were to search hentai on the net in Japan, you'd find regular porn sites too..... not just the animated stuff we consider hentai in the rest of the world..... The major difference between me and transtic is i am not going to be ostricized for the way that i am because people can always say "well he is engaged to a woman so he can't be that bad". To the folks that say that I DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU and you should not care about the way i think feel or act...nuff said

I think it's awesome that you are Bisexual and that even if you are in a relation ship with a woman, it's stll cool to know you.... best of luck to you and to her :) People would be surprised at how many people at otaku are bisexual or gay..... just think... the ratio of gay/bisexual to straight people in 1/30... for every 30 people one of them probably is gay or bi.... I'm sure it's less or more depending on where you are and etc... but thats what I hear the average is..... In government class last year, my teacher was kinda mad cause this kid said "***" as a stupid insult to someone or about something... my teacher said not to say that cause it was totally disrespectful to anyone and that odds were someone in our class was gay or bi.... that someone as far as I know was me... i never said anything though... oh well.... Most just experiment and then never do anything else... it's common for that.... but having thoughts of and actually being gay or bi are two different things.... but like I siad, I have no idea what the true ratio is..... Desert Shadow
I am surprised at how many bi's and gay's there is on Otaku. I know 3 at least now... I'm sure there are others. That makes me wonder... Did the world use to have this many? In countries where it was considered criminal? Where you were an outlaw to be homosexual? I think there were far fewer. Now that its commonly accepted in the world, i think there are more, cuz they take feelings they have toward the same sex and label it as bisexual. And it grows off of that from childhood on up. Then when they announce it, they stick with it the rest of their life. I think you can change who you are. Or everyone would be the same. Experiances and influences change who you are. Especially in your teen years. I can assure you i would be completely diffrent if i grew up in a different household. From my experiance, gays and bi's aren't hated by America. A little, yes. But look at this topic. Many people praised you fer yer courage, and many agreed with what you said. I see it on the news all the time, that gay's and bi's should be treated the same. It seems to be accepted. What i have said in this post i severly doubt will be praised, or accepted. More than likely it'll be frowned upon. I will say this straight out: I think homosexuality is evil. Not the homosexuals. I like Transtic very much, but i dislike his bisexuality. James
I think you'll find a much greater degree of hatred for different sexualities in the United States than anywhere else, that just seems to be the way it's been. I live in Australia, and yes, there is still some level of nonacceptance here. But I find it to be better here than in many other countries. I didn't read back far enough to read who it was who said that we choose our sexuality, but I'm afraid that saying that is just plain wrong. You never consciously choose to fall in love with a woman...you just do. You don't think "Hmm, I think I'll be heterosexual today". That's just not how it works. If people had a choice, I don't think anyone would choose homosexuality. On the basis of this fact, I don't believe that sexuality can be "agreed" with or "disagreed" with. It's kind of like disagreeing that the sky is blue. You can't disagree with it, because it's just a normal fact of life. Personally, I have lots of theories about sexuality and I think that homosexuality may even be nature's way of controlling human population levels from spinning out of control. I also read that the ratio of homosexual to heterosexual is something like 1 in 10 people. So approximately 10% of the world's population is either gay or bisexual. And regarding the idea that there are more homosexuals these days...I don't think that's necessarily true. I think that the number of people who are non-hetersexual is probably even higher than 1 in 10, but most people either don't think about it consciously or they are too afraid to talk about it. And in the past, I don't think people would have been as willing to talk about it as they are now, because obviously, the intolerance was a lot worse in the past. But I still feel that the level of intolerance towards people of other sexualities is similar to the intolerance of black people during the 60s in America. It's still far too high and in my opinion, is unacceptable. I guess I've had the benefit of growing up in an enlightened household...where intolerance of any kind is frowned upon, regardless of religion.
