Toshi looked over a hill as he and Veil travelled to Arrav. He stopped to wait for her. "Thanks for waiting. I thought I was going to be alone soon if you kept going at that pace," Veil puffed. Toshi laughed. "Just another mile and we'll set up camp. I can't even see the kingdom anymore. We've been travelling for awhile now huh," Toshi said. Veil looked back. Just grassland. She could see a little spek in the distance that was actually the entire kingdom of Sera.
Toshi looked down the hill. It was steep. Really steep. Veil sat down and took out a muffin. "You know. We'd be to Arrav in ten days if we had brought a horse," she said. "You know the rules of the task Veil. You can't use stuff they don't give you at the town unless you find it on the journey," Toshi said.
Veil finished the muffin. "Whatever," she said. Toshi smiled. "We have to get down this hill before we pitch our tent," Toshi said. Veil checked it. "RUN," she yelled. She took off down the hill. Toshi looked at her crazily. "Whatever," he said. He took off as well.

The young maiden walked along the road heading to Arrav. She wasn't to aware of the other travelers who passed her by or those she spotted on the road. She was lonely and bored but knew that it was the best thing for her to do. She had to try to live by herself. But not only that she wanted to find out about herself, who she was and where she had came from. Many told her as she was growing up that she reminded them of the people who lived over the seas. Others said that she was the color of myths. SHe wondered what they had meant until one day she heard the story.

Centuries ago there it was rumored that bronze colored people dwelt within the ocean. They lived they stayed they swam and never left. They had mysterious powers. And were rumored to have also disappeared a long time ago.

All that is left for her to go by is a tattoo on her inner thigh and a few pieces of strange clothing that she wore as a child. Nothing else was left for her. She continued to walk down the road, seeing only a strecth of road and the sun blazing in the distance.

Toshi and Veil descended the hill, Veil lost her footing and rolled down the bottom half of the hill, but was laughing when she stopped. "Wow! that was fun!" she said laughingly. "I don't know you," said Toshi sarcastically. Veil stopped laughing eventually and said "Who are you again?" to go along with Toshi's sarcasm.

Unbenownst to the two friends, a shadowed figure stood just behind the line of trees in the surrounding forest. "Hmmm," said the figure to himself. "Their quest seems worthy of my conpanionship," he said and then followed Toshi and Veil until they set up camp. He then showed himself when they were having dinner, it was night and Toshi had hunted and got a couple of deer and they were eating cooked venison (deer meat) steaks. They were currently conversing about what Arrav would be like, this was when the figure stepped from the shadows to greet them. "Hello," he said, "I wish to join your quest to the kingdom of Arrav", "And you are?" Toshi said, a bit annoyed. "I am Evrunal, the noble swordsman," he lied about his name. "Yes," said Veil, "you can join us." , "Fine, just let me eat," said Toshi and went back to ripping large hunks of his steak off and chewing like a barbarian. "Come," Veil said, "eat, have some steak, you must be hungry," , "No," Evrunal said, "I have my own rations, but thank you for your generosity and I may take up that offer tomorrow, but now I will get my rest, good night," 1 hour later he lay between two thick quilts asleep while Toshi and Veil sat roasting marshmallows which they found in a sack with turkey sandwiches and a puppy. They then fed the puppy and put him inside the tent and then started roasting the marshmallows of which I now speak.

Asunan, meanwhile, was in the outskirts of Arrav already. It was cloudy there, and it looked like it was about to rain. She and her best friends Amarest and Mereduin were just hanging out, tired out from their journey from far away. The three of them loved to travel, and they were ready for any enemies that came their way. Amarest was very skilled with a sword and could fire energy blasts from it, and Mereduin could throw little fireballs. The three also worked together; they could have been superheroes of some town if they wanted to.

Asunan sat down on a nearby rock. "I'm famished," she said with a sigh. "What does famished mean?" Mereduin asked. Her vocabulary wasn't that good. "It means really tired and hungry," Asunan answered. "What, is that what you are?" she continued. "Yep," Mereduin sighed. "I'm not!" Amarest said boldly. She was not the least bit tired. "If you're not tired," Mereduin muttered, "could you do us a favor and fetch us some food?" "Alright..." Amarest muttered as she ran off.

Suddenly, Asunan spotted three men walking towards them, also looking for Arrav. "There it is! We're here!" one of them shouted. "Yes, Evrunal, we are," another added. Then they spotted the two girls. "Hey," the third man said to them, "aren't you going to Arrav?" "We are," Asunan replied, "but we're kind of tired right now, and we're just taking a break." And with that, the men introduced themselves: Toshi, Veil, and Evrunal. "We better get going," Toshi suggested, and the three men left towards Arrav.

"I'm back!" Amarest exclaimed as she returned with a few berries she found in a nearby tree. "That's it?" Mereduin wondered. "Nothing else?" "Nothing else..." Amarest sighed and gave Asunan a few berries. After they ate, the decided to enter the town and look around.

But before they went in, someone stole the little picnic basket Mereduin always carried around with her.

I'll enter Arrav later... in my next post maybe...

Toshi looked at the kingdom of Arrav. Only about 3 miles from here. They'd been travelling for five days now since they had met up with Evrunal. Not much had happened. Toshi had had a bad encounter with a fish in a stream and had ended up on all fours in the stream with the fish in his mouth.
There were few people out here. Toshi looked back at Asunan. They were pretty far behind now. He couldn't see what they were doing. Toshi held up the picnic basket and chuckled. "That was a little too easy to be called pickpocketing," Toshi said. Veil looked over. "Hey. You stole that from them didn't you," she said. Toshi smiled. "Hey. We can get anything we want using any method we need on our journey as long as it doesn't cause harm," Toshi said.
Veil shook her head. Evrunal laughed. "You're pretty skilled little theif," he said.
Veil snatched up the basket. "You stole it Toshi. Therefore you are going to cause harm," Veil said. Toshi shrugged and put his arms around the back of his head to relax while he walked. "What harm will the loss of a small basket cause," Toshi said. Veil sighed. "Whatever. But don't blame me when you're getting beat over the head by one of those girls back there," Veil scolded. Evrunal looked ahead of the trail. He could see Arrav. "Arrav is going to be a little more than three miles," he warned.
Toshi peered ahead. It was more than he'd expected. "Well," Toshi said with a grin," Guess it's time for dinner," Toshi said. Veil rolled her eyes. "Toshi. We just had lunch an hour ago," she said.
"Well, maybe we should at least have a snack. I'm starving. And check this out. The basket has berries," Toshi said.
Veil smiled. "Alright. Whatever," she said and with that they started sitting eating. Evrunal looked again at Arrav. He couldn't see it! He started peering hard. "it moved," Evrunal said. Toshi got up. "You mean Arrav," Toshi said. Veil gasped as she looked ahead as well. It indeed had moved.

Linë sat in the split of two branches that came together to make a "v" shape. She stared down at the group below her. The boy they called "Toshi" had stolen the girl's basket. Linë waited about two or three minutes and, sure enough, Toshi was caught. The group sat down to eat small violet berries from the basket.
"Good idea." Linë said under her breath as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a square cut of bread wrapped in linen. She broke off a corner and popped it in her mouth, chewed and swallowed. She folded the rest up into the cloth and tucked it carefully back in her pocket. She looked down at the group to make sure they weren't going anywhere and looked in the direction of their stunned gazes. When she heard the one called "Evrunal" say Arrav was gone, she was aghast.

How can it be gone?! I followed these people all this way to find Arrav and now it's disappeared?! To where does something like that disappear to, I wonder?! Linë thought. She was frustrated with herself for following these people in the first place. She should have known they wouldn't be able to find Arrav. She should've paid more attention to the rumors, they would've helped in a tight spot like this. She jumped down from the tree, landing softly behind the trio.
"Where do you suppose it disappeared to?" She asked. The three infront of her turned around.
"Who are you?" Evrunal asked.
"If you mean who am I as in my name, then my name is Linë. If you mean who am I as in what I do, I'm a fighter, but am in search of Arrav just as you. I'm also an excelent spy, or you would've noticed me sooner." The three stood gaping. "Yes, I was following you. And as long as we've met, I might as well join your group."
"Fine." Toshi said.
"Now, where do you think Arrav moved to?" Linë asked again. But Evrunal's answer was not what she wanted to hear.
"We don't know."

Veil almost laughed at Line's question, "Of course we don't know where Arrav went. If we did, do you think we would be this worried? Sorry, nevermind what I just said. I'm being cynical."

"That's quite alright," Line answered.

Veil stood, reaching to shake hands with Line, "So, what are you doing looking for Arrav? And since we're all headed in the same direction, why not travel together? Safety in numbers."

Line smiled, "Sure, why not? Hey, mind if I help myself to some berries?" Evrunal silently handed her the basket, and she took a handful.

Asunan paused from trying to beat Toshi into the ground, "Wait, if Arrav is gone, then where do we go?"

"We don't know that Arrav is actually gone, do we? It could be an illusion," Evrunal answered.

Toshi jumped up, racing off, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go see!"

Veil started after him, muttering to herself, "He's going to make us sprint the three miles there...I know it...bleh.."

OOC: Wasn't Asunan with Amarest and Mereduin? And weren't they in Arrav already?
IC:
Toshi and the others were nearing the entrance to Arrav when a fireball hit Toshi in the side. Mereduin was running towards him as fast as she could, holding her hand up incase she needed to make anymore fireballs.

Toshi winced, the looked at Mereduin. "Hey, what's your problem?" "Why, you're the problem of course!" Mereduin replied, flaring with anger. "Give me back my basket or else!" "Or else what?" Toshi asked in a playful tone. "Or... or you'll get a second helping," Mereduin sneered, holding up a tiny flame. Toshi just avoided her and ran away towards Arrav. "HEY!" Mereduin shouted. "You're not getting away!" She ran to catch up, but Toshi was too fast. Then, suddenly, an arrow fell into the ground before Toshi, whose foot hit it, causing him to trip and fall. Toshi got up grumpily, taking out his sword. But before he could, Amarest took out her sword and fired a dark energy blast at Toshi's hand, causing him to drop the basket. At the same time, Asunan sneaked up behind Toshi and grabbed it. She smirked and beckoned Amarest and Mereduin over. Toshi was getting the impression of Asunan wanting to join the group, but he refused.

"Sorry, Asunan," he said in a blunt tone, "I can't let you join after what you did to me. Besides, seven's a crowd. A big one." Veil and Evrunal nodded, and Line just stood there, feeling sort of sorry for the three girls. After all, they were innocent...

"I wasn't planning on joining your group, Toshi," Asunan told him. "I don't like people who steal from my friends." And with that, she ran off with Amarest and Mereduin towards Arrav.

Veil immediately ran over, "Toshi! Are you alright?" She began feeling for any broken bones or lacerations.

Toshi blushed and pushed her away, "I'm fine! Uh, yeah, I'm okay. Hey! Why didn't you protect me? You're supposed to be my protector!"

Veil glared, standing slowly, "Well, I warned you, didn't I? I told you stealing would get you in trouble. So why didn't I protect you? Because you deserved it, and you weren't in any real danger. I knew they would hurt you seriously." She sighed, and started looking around, checking that her weapons were at hand.
Evrunal was already checking around the gate they had entered through, looking for clues about why the city had been under illusion. Nothing looked strange, though. Everything seemed normal....too normal....

"BUY SOME CHICKENS! The best chickens!" Evrunal drew his sword, ready to slay any attacker, and found himself looking at a terrified man holding a cage of squawking chickens.

"Evrunal! Put it away!" Veil exclaimed, pushing Evrunal's sword aside. She then bowed to the startled man, "We're very sorry, we didn't mean to startle you." The man just stared, and then rushed away.

Toshi smiled wryly, "What a great start. We get welcomed into the city by fireballs being thrown at us, and now we're giving the citizens all heart-attacks. I bet next we'll be given access to the jails and stocks."

Veil cuffed him lightly, "First of all, YOU were being the one attacked by fireballs, and second, Evrunal did NOT give that chicken-guy a heart-attack. So since we haven't killed anyone yet, we can't be put in the stocks. But just in case, lets keep moving so we don't frighten some other innocent people. And please, everyone keep your weapons put away!" She started through the busy streets, passing vendors and more various entrepreneurs. The others followed, filling their eyes with the sparkling sights and wares.

As Toshi and the others walk down the busy street they saw the man who was selling the chickens. Toshi then ran towards him and the man took off. Toshi chased him and minutes later caught him.
"What is your name and why are you runnin from us"?Toshi asked. As the others caught up. "The man answered my name is Toku and i was runnin because your friend their startled me with his pathetic sword. " Evrunal angered by those words drew his sword and attaked Toku. But the instant before impact Toku drew his sword and blocked the attack,Toshi's eyes were amazed he had never seen a man other then himself draw his sword so quickly.
"I do not wish to fight you" Toku said as he let down his sword. "Well then do not anger me" Evrunal said. "Were did you learn such swordsmanship Toku?" Toshi asked. Toku replied "i used to have to fight alot when i got caught stealing with one of my old friends his name was Cellus but i dont see him anymore after the incedent we had." Toku then asked "what are you names?" Toshi replied "im Toshi, he is Evrunal, she is Veil, and she is Linë and we are all on a journey, just then Toku looked straight into Toshi's eyes and said "Toshi may i accompany you on your journey i'm an exellent fighter and i can create lighting from the tips of my fingers. Toshi with a grin on his face said " Yes, but first come with me".
He looked at the others and said "you guys stay her" Toshi and Toku walked over and hid behind a giant rock. Toshi looked over and saw Mereduin and the two girls. Toshi smiled and said do you think you can give that girl right there a little jolt."As he pointed at Mereduin. Toku repied with a wide grin and a "yes." Toku aimed and shocked Mereduin. Toshi and Toku then walked back to the gang laughing.
As they returned Veil asked Toshi what they did and Toshi replied "nothin"
and sat down to rest.

Tr'shiel saw the gropu run towards the city. She could only shake her head and slowly kept walking, staying her distance from the people about 200 yards in front of her. She saw what the city had did and she couldn't wait to right it down, but before she could do that she had to find an open place to do research.
She hoped that one would be avaliable and since she had never been to the city she began to get nervous. She continued to move on crossing the flat plain in front of the city entrance.
It didn't take her too long to reache its entrance and not only did the number of travelres entering and exit the city look at her many just flat out stared at her. As she entered a guard stopped her and looked the young lady up and down.

"May I ask your business?" He looked at her probably never seeing a person of her color.

"Yes sir I'm here trying to find a place that I may read some books and do a bit of research on legends. Can you direct me?"

He seemed a bit stunned by her manners and quick speaking. Seeing that she was meaning no trouble he directed her on her way before giving her a word of advice. He pulled her to the side and spoke softly.

"You are a stranger to these parts young miss, keep yourself covered and no harm will come to you. I must say you are the first dark-skinned person I've seen grace these parts and people will kill for a rarity like that."

His serious words made Tr'shiel nervous she quickly looked around seeing all the people glancing at her. As his request she donned her hood and moved quickly up the street lowering her head as she got further into the city.

A few tears began to well in her eyes as she moved on. Trying to dry her eyes and keep her head slightly lowered she didn't see the person in front of her and knocked into the figure, falling back revealing her face.

The person looked down and held out a hand.

"I'm sorry there here, c'mon get up."

Shaking, she took the hand and began to look around at the group before her. She looked at their gear and immediately recognizing the clothing they wore.

" I saw you all on the road not too long ago."

"Huh," they all replied simultaneously.

"Yes you all, I was a few miles from the city when I saw your group standing on the road. I guess some conversation got started and you all began to run here. Not that I was following you. I was actually just trying to get here for myself."

"And may 'we ask your name," the young lady said.

"Oh yes I'm Tr'shiel," she said, beginning to calm down just a bit.

"And where are you from," she asked again.

"Um, the small town of Linore, about 100 miles away. Going towards the coast. I came here to learn about stuff."

"Well I'm Line, nice to meet you," she said smiling lightly at the girl.

Only Line had noticed the dark-skinned stranger. The others were blissfully unaware of her presence, caught up in Toshi's little mischief.
Veil stood with her hands on her hips, "Toshi...what did you do this time?"

Toshi laughed innocently, "I told you already, I didn't do anything. I don't know why you keep suspecting me. I mean, here I am, greeting a new member of our group, when -" He turned in panic as Mereduin came racing around the corner.

She pointed, glaring evilly, "YOU again! You little...you're gonna get it this time. I'm not going to let you off easy!" She was already forming fireballs in her hands as she was closing the distance between them.

Toshi immediately started running away, yelling, "No! It wasn't me this time! Stop! I swear, it wasn't me!"

Silently swearing, Veil grabbed Toshi and stood in front of him, "Stop! Everyone stop! Just calm down and tell me what the heck is going on! We're all adults, except ONE of us *glares at Toshi* and we should be able to solve this like adults. No more immature quarrels in which we show off our powers! Really, we're on a mission, and if you fail *glare at Toshi again* we're all screwed. So everyone get your act together!"

Merduin was steaming, "If he does one more thing, I swear, I'm going to tear out his intestines and make him eat them. One more thing, that's all it's going to take." Asunan and Amarest were beside her, smiling evilly at Toshi. He automatically retreated further behind Veil, who sighed and rolled her eyes.

Evrunal spoke next, interrupting his usual silence, "I agree with Veil. If we're going to help Toshi succeed in his mission then we must stop these petty arguments. They're wasting time, and we don't know how much we have."

"Which leads me to my next point," Veil spoke again, "didn't I tell you all NOT to draw your weapons in the city? And Toshi, we were trying NOT to run anyone to death, remember?" She looked pointedly at Evrunal and Toshi. Evrunal shrugged nonchalantly, and Toshi just giggled nervously.

Mereduin interrupted, "Alright then, you'd better keep that stupid kid away from me unless you want him turned into sausage. Other than that, we'll keep your truce, and we'll keep away from you. Kindly do the same for us." She walked away with Asunan and Amarest. They disappeared into the crowd.

Veil turned, "Alright! No more hunting down those three girls to cause trouble! And no chasing citizens through the streets, although Toku wasn't really innocent. And no more drawing your weapons until ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! Lets get going." She took the lead again, and everyone followed through the crowded marketplace.

"What a Nazi," Toshi muttered underneath his breath, "when did I get such a rock for my companion?" Toku laughed, and Line elbowed him. When he turned he for the first time saw the dark-skinned girl.

His eyes grew wide, "Who are you? When did you get here?" Tr'shiel got nervous, and an uneasy look came to her face. She didn't answer.

Line answered for her, "This is Tr'shiel. We just met, and she's going to be traveling with us, but she's quite shy, so don't scare her. Oh, and Tr'shiel, this is Toshi...the troublemaker..." Toshi stood indignantly while Tr'shiel took all the others in, keeping their appearances and weapons in mind.

Toshi smiled at Tr'shiel. "We're on a mission," Toshi said. Tr'shiel looked blankley at Toshi. "And what would that be," she asked?
"We're on our way to warn the king that an army is on it's way here," Toshi said. Veil smiled. "Speaking of which we should complete right now," she stated.
Toshi nodded. "That would be a good idea," Toshi said. And with that Tr'shiel started following Toshi and the rest.

When the group reached the castle Evrunal had decided to tell the king his true name when he introduced himself.
"We need to see the king," said Toshi to the entrance guard, "It is about the safety of Arrav."
"You may pass," the guard said in a deep voice, "I will announce your presence to the king."
After he said this, he led the group inside the castle. Then they reached a giant double door which was presumably the entrance to the throne room.
The guard entered the room and came out after a half a minute had passed, "King Rinue will see you now," he said.
He led the group inside and announced the group.
"I am Toshi Kodurama, your highness," said Toshi.
"I am Veil Mikayo, my leige," said Veil.
"I am Linë, lord," said Linë.
"I am Toku Seramechi , my lord," said Toku
"I am Tr'shiel," said Tr'shiel.
"And I," said Evrunal, "am Riv, the great warrior of the kingdom of Krii and Wielder of the great sword Lemaria."

The group was shocked but held back their reactions in front of the king. "Riv, you say?" said the king. "The same Riv who hath slain the giant Drooker in his domain on Frendiell mountain?"

"One in the same," Riv replied. "On to the reason for our quest."

Toshi took that as his que and explained about the army advancing towards Arrav led by the wizard Morak and of the story of the deathlords.
"If all else fails, my leige," said Toshi, coming to a close on his speech, "protect the gateway and the crystal at all costs."
"You are right," said King Rinue. "Thank you for the information and I will heed your advice and protect this kingdom and the crystal. Would you be wanting to stay for a while? I will have a servant prepare 6 rooms for you or 1 large one if you like."
"Yes that would be most kind of you, 6 rooms would be fine," said toshi.
"You may be dismissed if you have no further information or questions. I will send a few servants to prepare your rooms, I will wish to speak to the swordsman tomorrow," said King Renue gesturing to Riv. "Good night, my friends," he finished as the group left and were escorted to their rooms.

Everyone was escorted to thier rooms. Tr'shiel was absolutely amazed byt the place. She looked around in the King's great hall and all the colors present within. Everyone else seemed less impressed but were more so struck by the news of Riv being among them.

Tr'shiel really wasn't but kinda wondered about it and tried her best to overhear the conversation. She wondered what was his explanation for keeping that vital piece of info a secret.

Riv stood apart from the rest and tried his best to calm them down. "I will explain all of it to you later. Now please go to your rooms I'll see you all again at dinner."

The group went their way, Tr'shiel walked Line.

"Uh, Line" she asked.

Line looked at her.

"Um can you tell me of Riv, who is he?"

So line and Tr'shiel began to talk.

After dinner the group walked down the GReat hall towards their room.

As they arrived at the room Toshi glared at Riv.

"So Riv tell us..............ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh it hurts somone is in extreme pain." Toshi said with pain in his voice. "lets go find them" he said soon after.

They ran down the hall and heard a familar voice yelling"ahhh it hurts it hurts."

it was the king he was in lots of pain but no one knew why but Toku for he was the one that had did it to the king.

SO toshi and the gang ran towards the king when suddenly several guards blocked the way they said the king was to be left alone untill further notice.

Toshi asked "well what is wrong with him" and they replied "we dont no yet, so please return to your room.

As they returned Toku started laUGHing.

Veil then asked why when he layed down on the bed but Toku said nothin and went to sleep.

That night @ 1:00 am Toku snuck out and went and found Asunan he introduced himself and the two hung out until 4:00.

Getting back he thought Toshi would get mad if he found out that he suck out to hang with Asunan so he snuck iin quietly.

Before he went back in bed he went over to Veil and stared at her for a couple of minutes then he went to bed unnoticed.

Toshi opened his eyes to the shine of the sun on his face. He got out of bed. Suddenly three guards busted in. They woke everybody up.
Toshi walked over to them. He was only in a pair of boxers and sandles. Veil walked over in her pajamas. She poked Toshi's tan skin. "Nice uniform Toshi," she said. Toshi looked down at his boxers. "not to your liking," Toshi said smiling at her and then blushed at her un ammused face. The guards tapped his shoulder. "Toshi Kodurama and Riv of Krii. The king will see you now," they said. Riv looked up tiredly from his bed.
'What is it," Riv asked? Toshi looked curiously up at the guards. "We cannot speak now. Only Riv and Toshi may come," the guard said. Veil walked forward. "Excuse me. I am the guardian of Toshi. I am to be with him at all times and watch over him in case something happens," she said. The guards looked at her and then to each other. 'Very well then," they said. The guards escorted the the three out.

Veil followed behind Riv and Toshi. She was very annoyed, but at the same time curious at what was happening.
First of all, Toshi needed to put some clothes on, and next it was really nerve-racking being around Riv because he was such a legend. Really, what if they did something wrong in front of Riv, and then he thought they were complete idiots? Veil really did not want to mess up on this mission.

The fact that it was 4:00 a.m. did not help her mood, and she felt like her senses were on fire. She was constantly looking around at the shadows, and she was getting a headache. What could the king possibly want at this god-forsaken hour? And why was it only the three of them? They walked on.

OOC: Time to get rid of Amarest and Mereduin...
IC:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amarest and Mereduin woke up outside the castle, surprised to see Asunan gone.
"Where is she?" Mereduin asked, waking Amarest up completely. "Where's Asunan?" "I don't know, she must have disappeared again..." Amarest said with a sigh. Then she became serious... "Well, it seems that Asunan was cheating on us all this time. Bet she went off with Toshi and the others. Well too bad for her. I'm leaving. Mereduin, you cannot come with me." And with that, she ran off, alone. Mereduin stood still, slightly horrified. "Well," she wondered after a while, "those two did sound a little rough... Maybe I should go back to Natali and look for my sister Celestia... she has been gone a very long time..." And with that, she ran off in the opposite direction of Amarest.
Meanwhile, Asunan, Toku, and the others were fast asleep; they were asleep until about 7:00...
"Wake up, everyone!" the guard shouted. "A big day is ahead of us!"
Tr'shiel and Line woke up, rubbing their eyes sleepily. Asunan and Toku jumped out of bed in surprise. "Hey," Tr'shiel asked, "where are Toshi, Riv, and Veil?" "Gone," the guard answered. "They went on a little mission. The king gave them special orders. Meanwhile, the rest of you have another assignment." And with that, the group followed the guard into the main room.
"Ah yes, there you are," said the king. "Line, Asunan, Tr'shiel, Toku... you're all here. I've been expecting you." "So, what do you want with us?" Asunan asked the king. "You will see," he answered in a patient tone. "Patience, my dear. Why don't we all have breakfast first?" "Sounds good to me," Toku replied. And with that, they all proceeded to the dining hall.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OOC: Sorry, I don't know what kind of mission the king should assign... and sorry I jumped ahead... Why don't you just pretend like you already know what assignment the king gave Toshi, Riv, and Veil, and pretend like they left already?

The small explanation was good enough for Tr'shiel before they went off to bed that evening. She began to feel no longer lonely. Line was a very nice and easy to talk to person, Tr'shiel was enjoying it, she began to smile something she hadn't done since she left home.

She began to sleep when the thoughts of home flooded her mind. Asfter seeing she was so much different from everyone, she knew she was different, wishing and seeking answers. Later that evening Tr' shiel awoken hearing a bit of commotion in the hall. She ignored the commotion and fell back to sleep.

The next morning the group awoken to a royal treat. Breakfast with the king. BUt at the loss of their companions. The king though did feed them well. She ate heartfuly and was feeling sleepy soon after.

The king stood up afterward and began to reveal thier assignment Opening up the conversation slowly..

Toshi looked up at Riv. He was very embarresed having to walk the halls in only his underwear with little Red Stars all over them. Riv was holding in a laugh. He was doing well at it also. The guard in front of him looked at Toshi. "I'm guessing you want some pants young man," he said. Toshi nodded. The man took out a pair of grey baggy pants. 'We don't want to present you like this to the king now do we," he said. Toshi laughed and then thought, with a little disgust, of what the king would say. Toshi slipped the pants on while trying to walk which made him kind of skip. As Toshi got them on he noticed that Riv was holding the hilt of his sword under a tight grip. What did Riv think was going to happen.
Meanwhile in the main hall the others were listening to the King speak. "Anyway. Onto your mission," the king said. Line and Tr'shiel piped up. Toku thoguh was still obsessed with his food. The king coughed to get his attention. Asunan was watching and eating. Toku looked up with a king with a piece of egg hanging from his mouth. "I know that although your group is seperated at the moment you all will be reunited. I have a favor to ask of all of you. I must ask of you to go to the kingdom of Krii where your companion Riv is from," The king said."There you will tell King Sero of the oncoming attack and at whatever cost, except death, you must get there armies to join ours. Currently our army is not ready for the attack," the king said. There was no hint of fear or anger in his voice.
Toshi, Riv, and Veil entered the kings chamber. There was no one in there. "the king is addressing your companions at the moment. He will be here in a few minutes.
Veil leaned up against a bookcase. A book fell from the bookcase. Veil looked down at it. It was called The Adentures. She skimmed the pages. Suddenly she came upon Riv's adventure. She started reading.
By the time the King entered she was already in depth. The king sat down. Toshi blsuhed as the king inspected his bear chest. Riv stood behind Toshi. Veil noticed the king was in. She joined them.
"I've called you here to tell you of a favor I am asking of you. I am asking you Toshi and you Riv to lead your group onto the kingdom of Krii," the king said. Riv made no reaction. "There you will inform King Sero of our plights and request aid from him to help our shattered army," the king continued. Riv let go of his sword.
Toshi raised his eyebrow. "I had to come here and inform you. That was my quest and that's it. I should be on my way home soon with Veil," Toshi said. The king stood up at his desk. Veil turned around. "Toshi. How dare you say something like that. This kingdom needs all the help it can get. And so do we," she said. Toshi sighed. "I swaer Veil. You have some sort of persesive magic that makes me do what you want," Toshi said, Veil smiled.

"I accept this mission your highness and I will see my king, he will definitely be the grandson of the king when I lived there as a child," said Riv and got up with Toshi who didn't want to be sitting like that in front of the king like that.

Riv and Toshi prepared to leave, then said their goodbyes, surprisingly Asunan walked right up to Toshi and gave him a hug, Toshi felt very lucky and a little too happy (if ya know what I mean).

The duo left and headed in the direction that Riv knew of that would lead to home.

Veil stayed with the king a few moments more, and then ran after Toshi and Riv, "Hey, wait up!"
Toshi and Riv stopped, looking impatiently at Veil.

Veil, caught up, explained what the king had told her, "Ok, we're supposed to go and warn King Sero of the coming dangers, you know? And we're supposed to convince him to join forces with us. But then, after that, the others (Asunan, Toku, Line...etc.) are supposed to join with King Sero's army as a show of goodwill. And then we're supposed to go to the other countries in the north and try to convince them to help us too! Oh, and he really wants us to go to Razzaria too."

Toshi stared, "You mean we basically have to warn EVERYBODY??"
Veil nodded.

"No way! This is way more than I asked for! I am not going to walk a hundred million miles just because the king is too lazy to send his own messengers on horse-back, and I sure as heck am not -"

Veil cuffed him again, "Toshi! This is our job! Sure, we completed our first mission, but we can't stop now. They need us to do this! I know that Riv understands, and you don't see him whining, do you? Now come on, the king can't spare anyone to go deliver messages right now, so we have to. I don't really like it any better than you, but right now, we sort of have no choice. Come on, we're supposed to get to King Sero before the others do."
Toshi sullenly followed her, while Riv looked humorously at him.

In the palace, the others had finished their breakfast with the king, and their mission had been fully explained. Now they were packing for the journey, and Line was calming a very worried Tr'shiel.

"Hey, it'll be ok. Nothing's going to happen. Well, actually, we might be fighting and all, but if you stick with us, nothing will happen. Don't worry, we won't let anything happen to you," Line said soothingly, patting Tr'shiel on the back. Tr'shiel nodded, swallowed, and then looked like she might be sick.

Toku nodded at her, "Is she coming with us? Can she handle it? I mean, she does look like she's going to barf or something. What's she going to do about fighting?"

Asunan defended Tr'shiel, "She'll be fine! She's coming with us anyway, so there's no need for her to fight if she doesn't want to."

Toku shrugged, "Ok, whatever." Tr'shiel took deep breaths, trying not to be too stressed about the upcoming journey. They would leave at noon, after getting a bit more rest, and Toshi, Riv, and Veil would be far ahead of them. Line watched over Tr'shiel as she slowly fell asleep again.

Tr'shiel nodded off for a quick nap after brekfast. Seeing that she was possibly going into a war. Although some saw her as a weakness as this point, little did they know of her true inner strength. She woke up quickly just thinking of the main reason why she came here.

"What is everything okay," Line asked loooking seeing Tr'shiel jump up startled.

"I need to go do something, I'll be right back." She threw on some shoes and jetted out the door.

"Don't take..." the door closed behind Tr' shiel," ....too long."

Outside the door Tr'sheil found the closest guard.

"Excuse me sir."

"Yes what do you need?" He looked down at her seeing a bit of concern in her eyes.

"Um...is there a library about I must look something up before I go."

"Yes ma'am there is but it's the king's study as well. And only his scholars are allowed in without his permission, you must request to go."

"Oh, okay. " She said about to give up, she looked up once again at the gaurd. "Can I request a meeting with the king them before I go?"

"Come with me," the gaurd turned sharply around and lead her down the hallway again into a large open room. In this room many books were found, and she knew it was the king's study.

"Stay right here please. She stood at the entrance as the gaurd went in and came back out only a few moments later. "He will see you now."

"Aaaw Ms. Tr'shiel how may I help you?" She bowed in his presence and stood a few fee away from him talking.

"Yes, sir, um...I was wondering when we return from our mission if I...may use your study so that I may do some research, I have come a long way and I am in search of many answers."

She spoke more comfortably as the king showed interest.

"Well I can consider that, But what is it that you seek,"

"I wish to find out where I am from?"

"Do you have any clues?" he asked.

"Only the legends I have heard from once I was a child. Some would say from a people across the sea, others say a group from the south. I would like to make sure."

"Aw, is there anything else that would help aid you?"

She thought for a moment, sitting on the ground in front of him and digging in her small bag. She pulled out a piece of material and a small piece of parchment. She handed them both to the king.

"Only this parchment and cloth. The cloth itself is foreign to this region an the parchment bears a mark that I had on my body since I was found, like a birthmark of sorts."

The king felt the material and handed it back to Tr'shiel. He studied the parchemnt for a moment and placed it on the desk in front of him.

"Well seeing that this is a concern of yours I will appoint some one to look up the information you seek. Besides if the people you seek exist we have have some allies in the upcoming evil."

Ts'shiel stood up and smiled at the king, once again bowing," Thank you sir, now if you'd excuse me." She turned around with a nod from the king and left the room.

As she passed the guard she spoke quickly to him, "Thank you."

The door opened and closed so silently even Linë almost missed it. She was lying in the bed, eyes closed and hands behind her head.
"Hey, Ts'shiel." Linë said. She opened her eyes and watched Ts'shiel walked over to the bed and sat down at the foot of it. Ts'shiel nodded to her in response.
"So... you wanna tell me where you went?" Linë asked.
"The library."
"Oh, ok." It wasn't the kind of answer Linë had expected, but then again she didn't know Ts'shiel very well yet. There was an akward silence between them until Linë roused the nerve to talk. She sat up next to Ts'shiel. "Hey, we're going to have dinner before we leave, you coming?"
Tr'shiel nodded. "Ok."
"Alright, come on." And they headed out the door. They took wrong turns several times and had to either retrace their steps or ask a guard or maid which way the Great Hall was. By the time they got there they were laughing at how they got lost.
I've never seen Tr'shiel smile, let alone laugh, before. I mean, sure she's smiled before, but they weren't like this. They didn't have any meaning in them, they were just curved muscles. She looks like a whole new person when she laughs. It's enough to light up a room and make you feel happy even if everything's gone wrong. Linë thought in mid laugh. Seeing the serious look on Veil, the one that looks as if you're descrasing the human race, Tr'shiel and Linë sat down an ate. Linë couldn't help but glance up and watch Tr'shiel eat now and then. Maybe there was more to her than met the eye.
