They should really make an Anime on Zelda. From all of the books that I have seen, Link looks so amazing! The game manuals for Zelda:Ocarina of time and Zelda:Majora's Mask have alot of great pictures of Link, Zelda, and other amazing characters!

Also in Official cheat guides they have OUTSTANDING drawings.

I think it would be so amazing if they made an anime show of Zelda!

What do you people think????

P.S. Im talkin anime as in Ocarina of Time looking link, not WindWaker:P..

There's already multiple Zelda mangas in Japan, but I do think it would make a good anime if done right. I own two of the Zelda manga books, based on the storyline of Ocarina of Time. If they made an anime off of those books, I think the show would be awesome. ^_~. Well, that's my call.

Actually, they have made a show and comics, even a cereal. Even though I've never seen any of that. If they made a new anime based off OOT or something and the same great style of OOT drawings, I'd watch it. Come to think of it, that would be pretty cool. I've never seen the manga, maybe I should check it out... if I can find it! ^^;;

Yes, you young whipper-snappers wouldn't know of the Zelda cartoon that used to come on. Link was mad-ugly, and if you saw the show, you would know why anime noses are not so outspoken. Good-god that nose was ugly. You'd never complain about noses if you saw Legend of Zelda, although Sonic pulled off the nose thing ok.

In the hopes of not jumping to any more tangents, I'll keep this post as short as possible. I don't know if the show was an anime or not, but it was pretty weird. They were also misadventures, meaning there were only "enemy of the week" themes in each episode instead of a continuous storyline. Lastly, I think Link was a flirt, which shouldn't have been.

So yes, while it would be cool if they had another Link anime, I'm skeptical about how the creators will give Link a character, who has always been without one.

Well, I for one really enjoyed the Zelda comics and the tv show that used to come on. I thought Zelda was a righteous ruler and Link's personality was nifty. He was a flirt, but he was clumsy, too. He wasn't full of himself, which was nice. He actually had a personality, something the games tend to leave out. At least, the games I've played, anyway.

As for the comics, I had a few, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Gannon was a character, too, and he was just as revolting as he should have been. Good times. I really miss that stuff. ^_^

I remember the show from when I was little...I actually have one taped. It was during a show of the mario brothers, (played by real people), I think,.... I really liked it....he did have a large nose as well....he was a good character from what I thought. And Zelda was also a good character. *still thinking about that big nose* I think I'm going to have to watch it now. ^^

The show was really funny. The best thing about it was that Link was always trying to get into Zelda's pants, which is just about the opposite of what he's doing nowadays.

I saw episode 1 on zeldauniverse.net. It was funny as crap. Gannon was all Team Rocket like and Link was always trying to kiss Zelda.

I just watched Episode 1: The Ringers. That so amused me so much! I mean, they have the original music and sounds from the original NES game of Zelda. I.E. Zapping the Moblins with his sword when he has full health. And Ganon's music is the dungeon music. Thats cool and funny:P
Link is a huge flirt. All he does is fight to get Zelda and meanwhile his little Sprite wants him:P

Yeah if they made a new anime, they shuld bring in music from OOT and Majoras Mask and still have some cool sounds. They shouldnt make Link the size of humans though, because hes an Elf.

While the idea of a Zelda anime would be really cool, and I'd love to see that OOT thing you guys are talking about, I'm not so sure I want my Link to have an actual personality. That's one of the things I really enjoyed about the games - I had so much fun narrating every step the guy took in Ocarina of Time and making him up myself. Turned out to be a really, really weird story, but it was still a blast.

The idea of Link being a flirt is kind of hot, although I think I'd still prefer the game Link. He's just cooler when he's all mysterious and you have to decide for yourself what to make of him. Heh.

They've already made several volumes of Zelda doujinshi and manga. It sticks to the plot alot, but it also has a few other side things (ie new characters with very minor roles, ect.) and goes into a little more depth.

CLICK HERE if you want to check it out. ;) When you get to the main page, click on the drop-list near the top and click on manga, then choose the one you want to read. I think there's some other manga scattered in other categories though. ;)

Wow I just checked that website out and it looks amazing! I got the first 2 comics of OoT and they are very detailed and interesting. I lke how it showed before the beginning of OoT of how the evil started! Very interesting and I love the drawings. They are wonderful! I am going to get lots more and read them! They have one for every game!(1998+)! Thanks again!

Unlike a lot of people in here, i couldn't stand the cartoon. Like the story line was horrible, it wasn't what i was suspecting it to be like. The drawings were pretty good for that time and it had a lot of comedy in it, but i was a hardcore on the games and i just didn't really like it. I think it only lasted a season cause it was doing so bad in the ratings (it was either a season or 2 seasons i cant remember). Plus i was to hooked on TMNT like pretty much every kid my age was. That and Mighty Max which i think ill make a thread about cause that show was great.

That "Well excuuuuuuuse me!" was enough to put me off the Zelda series for life. I'm sorry, it just didn't sit well with me. I much prefer Link's present, slightly more dignified 'image', as it were- i.e. what everyone else thinks he should be like. He seems more like an honourable hero now, in my view. I never held too well with bratty, flirty heroes, even if they did have a sword.

A new anime would be fantastic. I'm sure a real anime series of any of the Nintendo franchises would be great if it was written and produced properly. Two episodes of a Fire Emblem anime were made, but no more. I'd have loved to have seen all of that. Or even just the first two episodes- it's rather hard to get hold of on video.

Certainly Link's personality can be developed into a great one. Even if all he really does in OOT is grunt...and yell...and scream like a girl...

Anywho, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask together has a storyline that can develop into a fantastic plot. Just by the games we can think of Link's supposed personality. Silent kind, courageous, lost almost everything in parts of his quest. I can automatically think of a depressing life for him. Dubbed the 'Hero of Time' and controlled by destiny, but no one will ever really recognize him for it. You know.

The three mangas I read for Zelda were just screaming beautiful art and a great plot. If they based an anime off of those, I would definately watch it.
